I only request some pseudo explanation for why a beast race looks so human.
Also, gonna make a discussion thread tomorow, still dont plan on starting the RP for a few more days since some things came up IRL, but it will give us a place to world build and stuff now that signups have calmed down a bit.
- Name/Aliases: Marcus Oros
- Sex/Gender: Male
- Race: Human, well technically cyborg, but one augmentation does not a cyborg make
- Appearance: A tall, dark haired man with glowing red eyes. He dresses in a variety of simple shirts and pants but is never without a long, royal purple coat
- Gear:
- a personal force field, of course
- a ring that serves as his magical focus
- several injectors containing the antidote to his poison.
- Skills:
- a skilled mage of the poison magic school
- an adept marksman (though given what he uses it'd be worrying if he couldn't hit what he was aiming at.)
- Magical Powers:
- Poison mist: just what it sounds like, releases a a poisonous gas in a stream in front of him, obviously the more of it breathed in the faster the effect takes hold
- Darts: fires a magical projectile of poisonous energy about the length of a throwing knife. Can be blocked by energy shields but will create a poisonous sludge that will linger if blocked or dodged.
- Cybernetic Augments: his eyes which have 20/20 vision but avoided all other augmentations solely for the ability to be able to fire an optic blast. After firing this blast Marcus is blind for about a minute and a half
- Personality: Marcus is rather friendly for a battle mage. He is generally not hostile unless he feels that someone has well and truly earned his fury. He also is quite fond of embellishing stories of his past feats.
- Background: Marcus grew up interested in the practical side of magic from a young age, the ability to affect the nature of the world purely by human power. So he joined the military figuring that being a battle Mage would give him a good handle on how to use magic practically. He noticed that often the army had to deal with shields which the army mages were not always effective. So Marcus decided to focus on magic that could slip past shielding. Of course this left him without an attack that could kill directly so he had his eyes cyberneticlly augment to make up for this flaw in his offense.eventually after an undisclosed incident he was discharged and has been working as a freelance bounty hunter until recently

- Additional note: the poison that Marcus' magic creates is a neurotoxin which weakens and kills over a matter of minutes depending on how much the target has been effected (a full dose/direct hit on the the torso killing in three minutes. Direct head shots with a dart is a OHKO) the sludge residue is acidic to a degree but nothing that can't be worked through

- Race: Human (what else?)
- Appearance: Something like this. Only with less hair, and less skin showing.
- Gear:
- The Axe - a unique guitar. This six-string war machine is not just a guitar, it is also a legitimate axe - complete with the same "shield short-circuit" hardware that most melee weapons have. The axe also has a high frequency blade - so it'll scythe through shields and armor in short order. However, this is the only weapon Isaure carries, as firearms get in the way of rocking the fuck out.
- Angus's Irons
◊, a suit of power armor. The armor is painted a dark brown to resemble leather, and is studded with spikes that act as low-power speakers. The helmet itself has a set of viking horns and projects a 3D blue skull, and as part of the deal carries a built-in guitar amp
◊ that the Axe is connected to via magitek transceiver. The onboard computer is capable of storing the bass and drum tracks for many songs, and playing them as Isaure rocks out to enhance the experience and make her magic stronger.
- Skills: Wicked sick with a guitar. Also wicked six with guitaring people in half with her axe.
- Magic Powers: Is a bard. Isaure specialized in buffs - her sick guitar riffs can provide boosts to people in areas like durability, speed, reflexes, and concentration. However, she cannot buff what doesn't exist, and in regards to healing, can only accelerate regeneration that is natural - she can't heal anyone who can't heal themselves.
- Augments: Only a small computer in the back of her head that links up with her armor, to assist with playing in the thick of battle.
- Personality: Obviously, being a rock star, Isaure is nothing but practiced cool. She has a one-liner for every situation (even though it may not necessarily be a good one-liner), and like most other Spart chars is difficult to get riled up in some areas, but can get set off like a bomb in others.
- Background: Isaure always wanted to be a rock star when she grew up. Then she found out she had magical potential. Instead of going away to become a mage, she tried to focus it through her guitar. It turned out to be successful. Attracted by the lure of exploration (and tempered by several other past jobs), Isaure brings a unique set of skills, and the ability to cleave someone in half and make a stupid joke about it.

- Sex/Gender:Female
- Age: 24
- Race:Avis, These are a race of humans that are said to be descendant from the "God" Anshar, who governs the sky. In truth they are from a group of humans that mutated to gain avian features but it was inevitable that a tale like that would form, and indeed a large number of Avis are devotees of Anshar. They're appearance are usually that of a winged humanoid but there are a select few born without them, trading flight for more durability and speed on the ground. These individuals are said to be forsaken by Anshar and generally not liked by the ones calling themselves "Pious". They all have bird-like reflexes, and senses, but flying Avis aren't as durable as a human, due to their generally lighter frames. They also seem to have an affinity for wind and velocity magic.
- Appearance: Blammo.
- Gear:
- Sharnga:A custom bow spefically tweaked to be comfortable for Maria to use
- A quiver containing specially made arrows that can magically charged while in flight, or when knocked.
- Joyeuse:A short sword of same make as her arrows, carried mostly to deal with enemies that get close.
- First Aid kit.
- And of course she has a shield generator.
- Skills: She's a skilled archer, and a survivalist in general. While Archery is her true skill she also makes a good scout, traversing terrain however she has too. She can spot what might be food and what might likely kill you. She can make shelters and simple tools from things she finds around her. And while she's no true healer, she can keep a wound from getting worse while you get to one.
- Magical Powers: She has focused on the velocity side of magic and gets quite a bit of use out of a single spell. She can propel herself or her arrows at varying intensities. From just getting over a gap to speeding her arrows along to their destinations.
- Personality: She tries to be polite and nice to most people, partly out of fear she'd get rejected. She's a bit reluctant to share her real feelings about anything really. Its only when she's doing some of her favorite things, does she loosen up some. Which would be of course, Archery, hunting, and surprisingly comic books. She keeps the latest issue of whatever serial she's reading in her quiver. Currently its Blackmask and The Outsiders, a more mature superhero team up comic in a team of heroes that hate each other must team up to face various threats.
- Background: She was a grounded Avis born to household devoted to Anshar. You can probably imagine how this went. From the moment she was born her parents were ashamed of her. Though they took care of her and performed their duty as parents, and even really did love her they couldn't hide the fact that that they'd always wanted a "normal" child. She was always their greatest failure. She came to hate winged Avis, and in her early years got into many fights over being ridiculed by her peers. She never lost but she never really won as she drove people away. Her only real outlet was the Archery club. That was until her parents had their second kid. A "success", a winged Avis who they pretty much spoiled, and showered with everything Maria ever wanted. This little sister, Sara, became the target of her jealousy. Which was only multiplied by the fact that Sara is genuinely sweet, and wanted to follow her big sis everywhere. Until a school camping trip came along, and a group of particularly mean students planned to get her lost it. It would have succeeded had it not been for Sara who came to "rescue" her sister only to be attacked by a mutated animal. One which was barely fended off by a young Maria. That night changed her mind about a lot of things. From then on she vowed she'd become someone her parents, her sister, and everyone could be proud of which lead her to honing her skills and becoming an explorer.
- Class: Scout. A multifaceted fighter who really specializes in gathering information, to support heavy hitters.

- Cybernetic Augments: Near full body augmentation. Arms and legs most heavily modified with various weapons and jet boosters. Forearms hold rocket boosters and a winch system for a Rocket Punch style attack.
- Personality: A bit of a jokester, easy going and prone to smiling quite a bit, but only out of a fight. He's friendly and likes to be around people. Really into dorky things like plastic models.
- Background: Rai was part of a experiment, a line of normal people upgraded into near full body cyborgs, the intention? Make a army of cyborg super soldiers who could think outside of orders. It was semi-successful, the people in charge argue that it worked too well when their Cyborgs broke out and ran off. Rai hasn't looked back and has tried to remain cheerful despite what has happened to him.

Some days, he feels that his closely cut, strawberry-blonde hair doesn't hide his androgyny, but highlights it. Furthermore, his deep-set blue eyes give the false impression of sleeplessness.

- Absolution: Normally only used when taking confession, Absolution allows a priest to effectively clear the conscience of an individual who is feeling guilty. Note that the individual can only be absolved if the priest know what is weighing on the former's mind.
- Minor Divination: If the priest focuses on a specific task or line of inquiry, his attention will be magically drawn to any item or person related to said task, within line of sight.
- Minor Ward: The priest focuses on his desire to protect, allowing one target minor protection from magical damage for the next minute. Stacks with existing wards.
•Cyberrnetic Augments: None. While not expressly forbidden, his order avoids augmentation for fear of inviting cyber-daemons (malicious viral programs) into their bodies.
•Personality: Brother Simon is a caring, if rather restrained individual. He hates violence, and will avoid it in most cases, but is prepared to start shooting should the need arise. He is also very sensitive about his girlish figure, and bundles up under his thick priest's robes to try and hide this. Though he understands the need for discretion, he tends to feel rather upset when he can tell someone is hiding something from him.
•Background: Born on the homeworld, namely in the city-state of Aetherium, a place ruled by a devout theocracy. The military, police, hospitals, schools, etc. are all run by The Church. Few people know the exact details of Simon's birth: the exact moment when he comes into the picture is when he was found on the front step of the Chapel of Justice. Raised there by priests, his fate became more of an inevitability than a drive. It certainly helped that he had a knack for conveying information and sniffing out secrets. The moment he came of age (17 in Aetherium), he enrolled as an Apprentice at the Chapel of Justice, eventually graduating as a Brother Inquisitor, a position roughly synonymous with a Detective Inspector in most other States. When he heard the call for adventurers, he knew that the skills of an Inquisitor would be a boon to such a venture, and with his Chaplain's blessing, went on to sign up.

- Name/Aliases: Yoldwinaak, or Yol for short
- Sex/Gender: Male
- Race: Tiny Dragon, or Wyrmling
- Wyrmlings are somewhat close relatives of regular full-sized dragons, but aside from being fun-sized, there are quite a few differences between Wyrmlings and their much larger, much scarier cousins. Wyrmlings have strong pack mentalities and usually seek the company of their own kin, or other sapient species you can have an intellectual conversation with. While there are a lot of subspecies of Wyrmlings that have adapted to certain environments, the vast majority of them are quadrupedal and have a pair of wings on their back. Furthermore, Wyrmlings lack the bigger dragons' natural affinity for magic, meaning they are not much more powerful than your regular humanoid mage. But good luck getting a Wyrmling to actually admit that.
- Appearance: Imagine your typical dragon with black and red scales. Now imagine that same dragon, just the size of a slightly bigger housecat. That's him.
- Gear: His teeth are (tiny) swords, his claws are (tiny) spears, his breath, fire. And he carries a bunch of spellcasting equipment in a tiny pouch, too.
- Skills: Being born with wings, Yol is a pretty good flier, especially in areas that would allow little room for bigger airborne creatures to maneuver in. But his real strength lies within his vast magical knowledge he has accumulated over years of researching the rift.
- Magical Powers:
- Fire Magic: Aside from his flaming breath, Yol knows a lot of spells that create or shape flames in some way, although his small size makes it hard to cast grand-scale firestorms and such.
- Transfiguration Magic: Yol's main field of study (and one failed experiment here is the the reason why he is so small). He loves the idea of being able to shape the world around him to his will, so most of his spells either alter the size of things or what material they are made of.
- Mage Hand: Not really a category and more a support ability. Like many dragon mages, Yol faces the problem of his appendages not really being the right size or shape to interact with objects, so he is using a very basic short-range telekinesis spell to make up for his lack of proper hands.
- Cybernetic Augments: None.
- Personality: A very small dragon with a very big ego. But very friendly and helpful towards those who treat him with the respect he expects to be treated with, especially if they seek his advice or counsel. Or if they bring him gold. He likes shiny stuff.
- Background: Despite his tiny size now, Yoldwiinaak was born a full-sized, "regular" dragon. Through a series of... magical accidents, he ended up in the shape of a Wyrmling, and has since been seeking for a way to revert that unwelcome change. Currently, he is traveling with a certain Battle Bard, teaching her about the basics of magic because she asked nicely.

- Sex/Gender: Female. Oh at least prefers being female. Though Technical a shifter could be any sex it wishes.

- Shifter is a race of being who can change their form at will. Not much is known about them because they seem to hiding among race with high levels of magic. Though what is none about them is that they tend to have high amount magic. They do seem to have preferred Sex and genders. Also some people and shifter seem to theories that they might have been a race of spirit that got banished here long ago.
- Appearance: Cassie seems to prefer the form a Kitsune. Cassie stands at 6ft 2inches, with her build being that of a gymnast. She has very long golden reddish hair, which falls to about her thighs.
- Gear: A pair of hidden blades, a pair of knives, one magic harnessing handgun. A cloak.
- Skills: She train in hand to hand combat, cooking, fire arms training, she can speak and write in multiple languages.
- Magical Powers: Reaper’s Eyes and Mimic’s hand.
- Cybernetic Augments:
- Personality: Cassie often wears a mask of a naïve and a bit air head girl. Though under that mask. She rather a clever and well meaning girl during her act she tends to favor sugar and act rather silly.
- Background: Cassie was raised by an elite spec ops group. She often had very little contacted with the outside world. Though this really didn’t bug her, she enjoyed the travel and training. At the age of fourteen, Cassie was working as a spy. At after she turned nineteen, she choose to leave the group and make her own way.

ElfFemale - Race: Elf
- Elves are strange pointy-eared humanoids that are more closely related to plants than they are to mammals. Elves have no need to eat plant, vegetable or mineral matter since they primarily use photosynthesis to gain nutrients. They have a curious natural ability to produce things such as seeds, fruits, leaves or spores from their bodies, many of which share a similar look to the kind of plants one might find on earth. Many of the elves that people are familiar with are stern and unyielding as a hundred year old oak tree, but there are just as many which are capricious and vicious or lackadaisical and calm. The only common traits elves share are a strange affinity with nature and an unwillingness to acknowledge artificial boundaries. They welcome other elves with open arms no matter what “species” of elf they may be. The word “Elf” itself merely signifies acknowledgment of another member of their species, like “comrade” or “brother”. Any elf that is no longer called an elf by either themselves or another is someone to be mistrusted. Perhaps it is due to their closeness to the planets they walk on, but they also have a very strong negative reaction when someone tries to introduce worship of “gods” into their life. Or it could be something else. That's not up to me to speculate.
- Appearance: Roughly something like the left part of this picture

- Gear:
- A longbow and quiver of arrows gifted by her parents. Surprisingly durable and light, able to shoot over 200 yards if the conditions are right. She also carries around seeds that she can grow to more arrows were she to run out, but the trees require at a minimum of 24 hours before she can strip them for parts.
- A kukri knife with runes carved into them, used as a multipurpose weapon and tool. The runes do nothing, but it certainly unnerves people who are superstitious enough to think so.
- Pack of traveling gear, including compass, water, sleeping pack, spare set of clothes and a flute she brought from home.
- Herself. By that I mean her body naturally produces seeds, leaves and flowers that she occasionally “prunes” off of herself as a manner of grooming so they don't grow on her. The flowers do nothing but look pretty, and the seeds themselves are hard and could bruise if she spat them hard enough at someone, and while she could plant the seeds she very rarely does so. She claims to find the resulting plant “vicious”. The leaves she occasionally brews into tea or smokes, but only when she's on a particularly long and boring journey.
- Skills:
- Survivalist and tracker to the extreme. They are incredibly good at moving through terrain, predicting weather, figuring out the safest places to hide or wait, and what kind of foods are safe to eat and creatures safe to approach or run away from.
- Obviously, the art of archery and the use of hunting tools. Mind, all of those were more for ceremonial purposes originally, but gotta make do with them somehow.
- Technically knows the history of her people and the planet due to oral tradition, but her memory is dodgy at best.
- Magical Powers: While elves can be a rather magical species and she knows how to use magic in theory, the only type Kaz has any real practice in is supernaturally enhancing her senses. Who needs to know how to use a fireball at close range when you can shoot a target between the eyes in a giant busy loud crowd, while hiding behind a wall, from over a football field length away?
- Cybernetic Augments: None.
- Personality: A person of brief words, primarily since her first language is elvish and her English/Chinese/Russian/whatever-the-most-common-language is terrible. Around non-elves she can seem a bit scatterbrained, lackadaisical, or air-headed since she either seems to not be paying attention to them or giving them the most bare bones answer she can. Around the people she knows or can actually understand her language, she can be fairly cerebral and maybe a touch wise...as well as scatterbrained, lackadaisical and air-headed.
- Background: As a young elf in the world, she lived in the wilderness with her isolationist tribe, living off the land and learning the ancient art of scouting passed down throughout their generations. As part of her rite of passage into an adult, she was commanded to take a piece of her homeland and place it upon a new undiscovered land for future branchlings to discover. So, she opened a phone book, chose the first guild that appeared in it, and went on her way.

- Name/Aliases: Balbina, AKA Balbina the Baller
- Sex/Gender: Female
- Race: Gynoid - A synthetic life form made to resemble a human female. Though most of her body is mechanical, she is made with artificially created organic exterior that, making her indistinguishable from a cyborg. Her organic parts are made to regenerate when they are damaged, and can be removed entirely if repairs need to be made on her mechanical interior.
- Appearance: This
, just... a lot less revealing. Still the same general appearance for her body/armor. She's quite tall too, about 8 feet or so in height.
- Gear: Plasma sword, laser rifle, and rockets in her feet to propel her through the air. She also has a metal basketball that she can control remotely using her AI.
- Skills: A skilled combatant, due to her natural brawn and experience using both melee and ranged weaponry. She also knows a bit about robotics, due to being one herself and having a skilled scientist for a creator. Also she's very good at b-ball.
- Magical Powers: N/A
- Cybernetic Augments: In this case the augmentations are technically her synthetic skin, hair, gums, etc. since she is primarily a robot.
- Personality: Balbina is highly competitive in everything she does, whether its shooting hoops or hostile aliens in the face. She's quite friendly, however, and has an enthusiasm and good temper that makes her easy to get along with. She's a little strange, not always understanding social norms due to not interacting with other people on a regular basis. She stays upbeat in nearly all situations, and has boundless determination to complete whatever task is set in front of her.
- Background: Balbina was created by an eccentric scientist name Dr. Jordan, who wanted to create the perfect basketball player. Dr Jordan was also a little crazy, however, so the way he went about doing this was by making Balbina far too big and powerful for a normal human to face on the court. He also taught her to use weapons because, as he puts it, a true baller must be able to take shots on or off the court. Balbina was never allowed in proper NBA tournaments, so she mostly participated in strange underground basketball tournaments that involve robots and superhumans. These games of B-Ball are often not in accordance with any sort of rules and are very dangerous, which is largely where her combat experience comes from.
