Bunny HOP
Hayate entered the eatery and looked around to see if anyone else had arrived. He was dressed in a dark long-sleeved shirt and jeans, and carried a large rucksack filled with his belongings.
Spotting Alexi, the Tengu quickly made his way over to her booth. "Morning Alexi." He greeted, before noticing her meal. "Were you waiting here for a while?"
Rustling of branches and leaves. A solitary tree by the parking lot swayed - wait, hold on. When did BunnyHOP get a tree? It wasn't there yesterday, was it? And whose luggage was that, lying against the trunk?
A sound of bark rasping against bark escaped its body. "Uaaaargh." A jagged, horizontal scar in the tree shifted and expanded as Charlie yawned. Bright sapphire eyes blinked into existence against grooves etched into the bark. The thickset Ent uprooted himself from the field and bent down to the grass, mumbling something unintelligible. As it stomped over to the asphalt parking lot, the field's grass smoothly moved, covering the dirt left in Charlie's wake.
Now, where was everybody? Charlie bent over and peeked into the BunnyHOP's windows, scanning for his fellow would-be travelers. Ah, there was Alexi! A heavy, thick arm gently rapped the window.

Danica rubbed her eyes as she parked the RV into the lot of the Bunny HOP. She'd already drunk half of an extremely-steeped mug of black tea, but even caffeine didn't help the fact that it was an ungodly hour of the morning. She'd actually tried to fall asleep early, but had utterly failed to get any shuteye before 3 am. Well, at least it looked like some others were already there.
She hopped (hehe) out of the RV, locking it behind her, and walked over to the animate tree by the doorway. "Morning, Charlie," she said, yawning.
Exist, pursued by bear"Danica, wait." In the back of Danica's RV, an old orange bass vibrated rapidly, far more distressed than the voice was letting on. Being in Danica's possession was a good deal, but sometimes, yeah, the girl forgot about his mobility problems. Unable to really move on his own, the instrument did the best it could and first of all unstrung itself; the strings whipped around and pushed against the wall of the RV, rotating along the wall until it made it to the back.
The strings then took on a weak approximation of a human hand and pried at the door in back, eventually getting a nice clunk as Bud opened the door. Bud's weight pushed the door open, and he fell forward, landing headboard-down and halfway out of the RV. "Danica, please." Bud began rethreading himself. "I would like to not have to drag myself around."
"Good morning, Danica," Charlie bowed amicably, though the motion functioned more as a nod than a gesture of honor. No necks, after all. He yawned again, even louder. The sun had not been up for long, and his leaves were still hungrily drinking in the light. "You've anyone else in there?"

Andreia woke up from the nap she was taking in the back of Danica's RV, woken by the sound of Bud hitting the asphalt. She stepped out of the RV, grabbed him and brought him over to Danica, looking sleepy and vaguely annoyed. "I told you to wake me when we got to Bunny HOP. Here's your talking guitar, by the way. Hi Charlie."

“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertImagine Alexi's relief(of boredom) as she went from slumping in her seat lazily listening to some vaporware album to shotting up in her seat when Hayate greeted her. She smiled like an idiot and waving both of her hands frantically at him...even if she does not know him all that well...despite the fact that he's in the same club as her. But that's what the road trip's for, right? Getting to know each other more.
"H-h-hey...erm..." Alexi greeted at first before mentally raking her brain trying to remember the name then continued "Hayate! What's up?"
In the corner of her eyes, she also saw Charles rapping at the window, to which Alexi responded with the same awkward wave, and soon the RV comes as well, and out came Danica, with a bass guitar stumbling out of her RV for some reason, Alexi was not aware that she play bass, and another girl with a pair of antlers sticking out of her head, who Alexi knows even less of than Hayate.
Alexi stuffed her laptop and headphones in her sling bag and get herself out of the establishment and greeted everyone, with a rather embarrassing excitement and volume, "Hey everybody, good morning!"
http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)A minivan pulled into the parking lot, pulling to a stop in front of the restaurant with a skid. A few moments later, and the door opened to reveal a large red-head simultaneously pulling and pushing several large pieces of luggage out of the vehicle onto the curb. Getting them out, he turned back tot he car to accept another piece of luggage that was handed out by an unseen person still in the car.
"Yes mom, everything will be fine, don't worry. Yes, I'll let you know if we get arrested or something, it's cool."
After Marvin came a girl with fair pale skin and icy cold blue eyes and hair, a smile on her face as she stepped out of the minivan, an electric guitar case hanging from her shoulder and a large suitcase that probably was only able to get around because of the wheels. "Thank you again for the ride Mrs Lancaster!" She said cheerily as she brushed against Marvin's arm.
There came a person in the distance, jogging towards the Bunny HOP at a rather brisk pace. He was tall and tan, and carrying a gold-colored suitcase in one hand, which moved back and forth with each step. He slowed and waved with his free hand as he came closer to the restaurant's entrance, panting heavily.
"Hey-g-guys," He managed to stammer out between pants. "For-forgot to, check bus schedules, d-didn't know, when they'd get here. Ran three, miles, to get here faster, so I wouldn't be, l-late."
He set his suitcase down and started taking deep breaths.
"w-Woke me, the hell up, though. So, I'm good for, first driving shift."
What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?Hayate gave a small grin in reply. "Nothing much; I was pretty excited for the trip and had to do some late-night flying to burn off some energy. You?"
Oh hey, Charlie's here. I knew the park looked a little different last night. And more people are arriving too... Hayate's train of thought was broken when he spotted Alexi heading out of the building and followed her.
"Morning all." He greeted, before looking around to see if Ta-chan or Lyndi had arrived yet.

Alexi blushed a lot when no one really reacted to her greetings and froze there like an idiot as she slowly lower her hands in the air with a stiff, empty smile on her face. She looked around for a bit to see if anyone's watching. There was one, the bunny waitress at the window holding in her near uncontrollable giggle with both of her hands, as if she's holding in a flood in her mouth. When Alexi's gaze met hers, the waitress stifled her laugh and gave her a nod and a two thumbs up. Alexi was not sure if it's like a sarcastic insult or a genuine encouragement but she's going for the latter to try and make her herself feel better.
Alexi then heard a skid nearby. She turned to the source and saw a minivan and out came a redhead dude and a blue eyed girl with curtains to match. She knows one of them very well. "Oh hey, Yuno!" Alexi shouted out as she walked over to the icy looking girl while almost stumbling over her feet at some point and hugged the girl. Alexi always do this when she and Yuna meets, she likes the chillness that her friend radiates. "I'm so glad you come, snowgirl! Is that your boyfriend right there? Martin, is it?"

http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)At that moment Rachel would make her appearance... driven in a black, luxury car by her butler Sebastian. While he moved to the back to fetch her luggage, the vampiric girl stepped out of the car in good cheers. It was technically still night and the sun had not shown too strongly so she still retained her energy and more importantly, the cheer for a new trip with friends! While sometimes she didn't want to admit it... she really missed being with simple people instead of the snobs she had studied with.
She then moved to Sebastian's side, taking her luggage from his hand and using every ounce of her enhanced strength to carry the quivering, overloaded and black magic bound container of nearly everything she could imagine herself needing on the trip. Biding a polite farewell toe Sebastian, with a kiss to his cheek when she thought nobody could notice she stepped into the Bunny HOP with a grin and called out "Heeeey! Rachel is here!"
From the sparse cloud cover in the sky came a dark figure, flying around the Bunny HOP before stopping to rest atop its roof. Instead of retracting her wings she opened them out to their full span, clearing her throat before announcing, far too loudly for 6am:
"And as the light dawns on a new day, so too does it shine on a new journey. The tension, the intrigue, the excitement! The life that many only dream of has been bestowed upon us, the harbingers of this new adventure! Rise, and feel the frenzy in the air!"
With that little exclamation out the way, Lyndi flew down to greet the others. Her single travel bag, green like her scales, dangled around her neck as she padded forwards. "Alas, the sun does not want to entertain my grand entrance with its full power. But fret not! It cannot prevent me from wishing a good morning to my future companions."
they/them || "Forgive me, regent of queer amphibians" - Lt.BGobAndreia was half weirded out, half intrigued by the new arrivals. She didn't think she'd seen either of them before, but a party girl and a wyvern would make for interesting company. She smiled by way of greeting and said "Shall we go in and get some pancakes? I'll bring you some if you want, Charlie."
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor Hebert"Haha, yeah, of course you wouldn't," Alexi commented, though that last words has that slight tinge of...sadness? Oh, and it's Marvin, oops. Alexi turned her attention to him and said "I've heard a lot of things about you, mostly from your girlfriend. So you're studying parapsychology, right? That's so cool, so it's like...correct me if I'm wrong but is it like counselling to ghosts and stuff, right? Oh, and I'm guessing that you guys are hungry, right? Wanna eat at Bunny HOP?"
http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)Marvin nodded, slipping his hand into Yuna's. "Well, not exactly. It's basically about the psychologies of people who don't have physical bodies, or don't have a physical brain. Ghosts are included in that, but so are some kinds of treants and elementals, among others. And sure, I could stand to have something to eat here."
He glanced over at Yuna. "Are you up for some rabbit food, Yuyu?"
Alexi chuckled a bit when Marvin called the yuki-onna 'Yuyu' and pointed out "Yuyu? Aww man, that's such a cute nickname! Yonu, what's his nickname?"
http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)"Heh?" Hayate looked at Alexi, then back at Charlie in confusion, before quickly realizing what the Ent was implying and shaking his head with a sheepish chuckle. Did we really look like that?
"Nah, Alexi was the first to arrive. I got here a little before most of the others." He replied. "And you?"
"Good to see you, Lyndi. Did you have a good flight?" Hayate greeted his flying buddy with a cheerful smile.

As the friends gathered at the colorful and (in)famous bunny-themed restaurant, a peculiar vehicle slogged a few blocks away from there. It looked like something out of a LSD induced fever-dream triggered after watching one too many old-school science fiction movies. And yet, despite its outlandish appearance, and the driver's seat being completely empty at the moment, the strange vehicle didn't attract as much attention as it usually did. The reason? Its old and noisy engine was soundly asleep at the moment despite it moving at a steady, yet relatively slow pace.
While at first it looked like it was an irritatingly sluggish self-driving vehicle prototype, the truth behind the weird machine's current journey was actually far stranger than that, as it had been pushed around, almost through the entire city's length, by a small girl of petite complexion located on its back. Taking a peek from the left side of the van, the girl hurried up her pace after seeing that the vehicle's way towards its current destination was clear. Then, as the massive metal clump was about to clash against one of the cars located ahead of it, the girl used her own feet in order to grip the pavement, stopping the van's movement in a mere instant. Quite an impressive feat, even more considering that she wasn't wearing any kind of footwear at that moment.
Then, the girl took a brief moment to “catch her breath”... Metaphorically speaking, though, as she didn't really have a respiratory system, nor she was tired after pushing several tons of metal all the way there. Nonetheless, she needed a moment to let her current excitement sink in, as the upcoming road trip was something she had been waiting for quite some time already. Also, she needed an instant to shake off some of the dust she had gathered along the road. Her blue-overalls and yellow long-sleeved t-shirt looked as if she had spend most of the day working at a car workshop, but after panting most of the dust away... They still looked somewhat raggedy. Not to mention thick layer of dirt which made the girl's naked soles look black as a tire.
-“Good grief...”, the girl thought to herself, “I didn't want to look so scruffy, specially in front of so many new acquaintances. Maybe I should ask the staff for permission to use their restroom to change myself... But first, there's something really important I must do.”
So, the girl moved towards the driver's door to open it; after locking the van's gear shift on neutral position and removing its keys, the girl took a small but finely decorated gift box which laid on the main seat, and locked the door behind her. Then, instead of going directly towards any of the soon-to-be travelers, the girl approached one of the bunny-girls which attended the restaurant. Making a slight bow directed towards her, the girl spoke:
-“Good morning, miss. My name is Alice Asimov, and I must beg pardon for tripping over you the other day. It wasn't something stemmed from ill will nor other unsavory intentions, but an unfortunate glitch on my neural interface which happens from time to time. I hope my sincere apology, and this small token of respect can make up for my embarrassing mistake.”
She said before handing over the small box to the slightly confused bunny-girl, who definitely wasn't expecting such a heartfelt apology, as she wasn't resentful at all with Alice. Nonetheless, she was pleasantly surprised to see such a polite and thoughtful person. With a smile, the bunny-girl accepted the gift while saying there wasn't anything to forgive, but that she appreciated the kind detail.
Having done that, Alice looked around her to check which other people were already there. There were a lot of faces she wasn't too familiar with, but seeing Charlie and Lyndi around made her feel less anxious. Nonetheless, she was slightly worried due to Ta-chan's absence; she was probably her closest friend, and the one that convinced her to make the trip on the first place, after all. But, before doing something “drastic” like racing towards her place to see if she was alright, Alice decided to wait there for a while instead. So, she turned her attention towards Lyndi, who was resting above the building's roof:
-“Good morning Lyndi. How are you doing, my friend? Do you want to eat something? I've heard this restaurant has delicious food. I don't know myself, because I can't eat stuff, but still.”

"It's better to burn out... THAN TO FADE AWAY!""Ah, my good friend!" Lyndi outstretched her wings again at Hayate's greeting. "The winds must favour our journey, as they are nothing but pleasant to ride upon. I dare say that I am tempted to soar through the first part of our venture!"
She let out a sound that her translator couldn't quite decipher- a wheezing sort of snarl that Hayate would recognise as her chuckling. "But I shall not, for it would remove our entire purpose in travelling together! I hope that your own journey was equally devoid of troubles?"
With the arrival of Alice, her other friend amongst the group, Lyndi let out a squawk of greeting. Any formalities that came with their working relationship had soon become unnecessary, once they actually got to know each other. "Good morning, dear Alice! I have already dined this morning- a few early risers bestowed onto me their empty cans of energy drink, most kind of them- but I am curious to see what this place may offer as nourishment. Before that, however, I must address a concern with your arrival..."
Lyndi fluttered over to the van's backside, nudging it gently with her forehead in a mimicry of Alice's pushing. "I'm quite familiar with this sort of machinery, having witnessed its evolution over the years. And I am certain that you and your grandfather would know of its workings too, having possessed it for so long. Thus I am left confused, as this is not how a vehicle is operated. Are there problems with its engine?"

The good thing about the newcomer fast food franchise Bunny HOP is that their restaurant is open for 24 hours, meaning that anyone in the wee hours of the night can come in and have a bite of their delicious breakfast, including but not limited to habitual late night eaters, vampires, werewolves taking a break during their sport hunt and a bored and insane salamander tengu God that prowls around the streets to cause grief around him who also plays a flute with his nose and ass.
Or, in the case of Alexi Stavros, a mermaid sitting in the corner wearing a grey sweatshirt and red plaid skirt with a walking luggage and a sling bag to her side, students who are eagerly waiting to meet their friends for a road trip. For her, she's excited for the road trip because she has successfully 'persuaded'(interpret it as how you will) her friends to come to Waterstock Music Carnival as their first major destination on their road trip and now she can’t wait to have experience of a lifetime. The only problem right now was that she got up way too early, she was supposed to meet the others at around 6 A.M, she arrived at 4 because she can't sleep. Now she’ll have to wait around the restaurant eating her carrot pancakes every now and then, listening to her albums saved on her phone and browse on /mu/ on her laptop to talk shit about their music taste (it’s so fun being a shitposter in summertime, lots of angry teenage NEETS out there). She has been scanning at the parking lot at the left and right for her friend’s vehicles periodically for a while now, she knows what they look like, her friends showed them to her in pictures, one is a ‘hippie-retrofuturistic-tricked-out-van’, as described by her friend's friend and the other is a regular RV that were once used by a travelling family. The clock on the wall striked 6 and Alexi is just hoping that someone comes here sooner to alleviate her boredom.
And so our story begins!
