Most people, myself included, tend to add examples on a work page or a trope, but rarely both. The result is a pretty heavy wick imbalance, especially on the more normal-sized pages, and our only way of coping is to check wicks against listed examples - by hand. Which is a royal pain in the bum.

A tool to speed up the process would be a godsend and might help bring light to the less popular pages. Something like:

  1. Check listed examples
  2. Check inbound wicks (already listed by the "related" tool)
  3. Compare both lists, and report any non-reciprocal links:
    • Examples found only on the page
    • Wicks not found on the page

Could this be done? Step 1 is currently impossible in trope pages, but it might be doable for works, which are more organised. Hell, a simple list of outbound links in Main/ would still be useful.

Such a system would be pre-empted by the "relational database" thing that is part of the Kickstarter overhaul, I'll note.

Closing because of this.
