The 170th issue of film magazine Cinefix has shared some new stills of the movie:
- The Demon Bear:
- A portal to Limbo!

- And...Smiley Men?

Another still, this time of the bad(?) doctor herself and her...gifts.

Bump.
It's starting to look like Disney's biting the bullet and taking The New Mutants to digital release, because there's a listing on Amazon US and UK to pre-order the movie.
Okay, on one hand, it rather sucks that it had to come to this, but on the other hand, I guess the COVID-19 situation got too unpredictable and they figured "this movie is more than ready, let's just release it somewhere."
UPDATE: The link to pre-order the movie in the USA has been taken down.
Amazon says it's due to its agreement with the content provider.

Well, yeah, I recall reading that one of the conditions Disney had to comply with when buying Fox was that they had to still release the movies Fox was planning to release by themselves. This included Dark Phoenix, the existence of which was argued by many to be considered moot due to the Disney/Fox buyout, and The New Mutants, which had no production blues, but is having the worst luck when it comes to post-production and actually getting released.
Incidentally, if Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik is going to be a one-movie wonder, I realize that I wouldn't say no to someone like Elle Fanning being MCU!Magik (assuming she can pull off a nice Russian accent).
I have watched some of the trailers and I have to ask. Is that bear thing the main villain? And is it original to the movie?

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus panic, New Mutants has been delayed YET AGAIN.
