Shadow eventually points to a place on the path, where there is a small object sitting on one of the cobblestones.
"There!"
He's about to move to the object, when there's a rustle from some nearby bushes, and he freezes again, holding up his hand. As he and Neodyme watch silently, a peculiar, snuffling noise comes from the bush, and the slightest trace of green and blue glints in the darkness. Neodyme blinks, giving Shadow a curious, but subtle look.

Ouazo is a calm one. As such, the apparition of a large frog doesn't particularly bother him. He's only slightly irritated that he didn't notice it earlier but he decides not to dwell on that fact. Instead, he put his arms down the length of his body and does a graceful bow. A sign of courtesy - there was no need for violence. And the Digiadomen. came offering him wares and opportunities.
Now the Akat-Var isn't one to so easily trust a stranger. But at the same time, only the dim fools rejected a way to make things easier for them.
Greetings be upon you. Ouazo simply responded, voice soft and almost raspy in contrast to his interlocutor's stronger tone.
I am looking for both, yes. What is the price I would need to pay in exchange for such information? Digiadomen did not feast simply on good will. You will not have found me if the price is too high to pay.
Of course, Ouazo would not fight the being unless forced to. It'd be a rather splendid risk to put himself in. And the road to a stupid and early death is strikingly similar to the road to glory.

Situatuon IX
From the Namielle’s back Luin watched in grim (gor) terror as the battle developed below, all around them swirling his orcish maelstrom. She felt Yuji’s weight shift off the saddle behind her and, never one to stand by while others fought for her, Luin fixed her focus towards a plan. She looked to Perceval hovering beside her. "Be right back." Then, to a thing unseen: "Sheol." A purple rift tore open in front of her, and into it flew Deluge, beast and rider both disappearing from this world.
When another rift opened, only one of the two dropped, in her hands an Amagarex chargeblade which she formed into an axe during her descent. Sheol tore his way through the veil between worlds beside her, the Riftstalker dropping with the Queen. He hit the ground gently while Luin splintered the earth on impact, rising with no apparent injury. To her gravitated the Annihilation’s eyes, the object of his hate, herself the posterchild of all man’s evils that he had made her into. But here was no time to be blinded by his hate. Venti was planning something. The Eater was no simple creature; beneath those eyes lay enough cunning to recognize that the Archon was brewing a thing which needed to be stopped.
Needed to. When was the last time, the Beast wondered to itself, that it needed to do anything? When had anything before in its life been a necessity? Now was a day of firsts, and of lasts: the first time his life had been put on the line since he was born anew, and the first time he’d needed to shed his hubris and treat these creatures as they so wished to be treated: as equals. And in this vein, it was the last time he’d ever be challenged.
A sun sighed from his fangs, screaming in a blue-tinted streak at Venti like a missile and bursting with the fury of one. And like all great movies, it came with a sequel, a second flaming burst fired off in succession at the Archon, aiming to further disrupt whatever had been in the works. Then he staggered, his left limb frozen in place by Adinath, keeping him stuck long enough for another chunk of debris courtesy of Brutus to crash into it. The Annihilation broke quickly free, but the damage was already done by the Tigrex. The last of the spikes on the leg had been broken away.
Khars’Li, some couple dozens of yards away, had been in the process of climbing down from the building he’d taken shelter in when the sky split above him and hues of green filled his eyes for a flashing instant, before flooding with red hot rage. In lieu of words, the lizardman announced his intent in an animal’s roar. His hands and feet met the ground as he tore across the ruined plaza at the clustered battle. Khars’Li pounced upon the Annihilation’s back just as Yuji latched to his tail, an enhanced Cleave shearing off the outer layer of armor. Feeling his presence there and impartial to further damage, the tail began to thrash wildly, aiming to not just buck off Yuji, but also to ram into Mark, his constructs, and Brutus.
Then, like an old timey cartoon, it began to rain over him and him alone; worse yet, it was raining elephants. What was typically a decent snack had been turned against him, and though he was speedy to call upon the memory of Placidusax to utterly atomize two or three, there was only so much he could do against the rest. His bones cracked and broke beneath W = 5mg, where m was the mass of each elephant and g was the gravitational acceleration constant 9.81 m/s^2. Yeowch. With loose ribs rattling freely somewhere under his welted hide, the Annihilation wasn’t keen to let Megumi off scot-free, especially not after the weight of the elephant off which he’d hopped left a deep crack in his left horn. As Megumi’s blade came down in the tangle of spines clustering his head, the Annihilation dropped said head to the ground and ran it through the pavement, aiming to scrape the sorcerer off somewhere and hopefully leave him there as a stain. If that didn’t, then perhaps what would was Soulstealer’s hand-delivered fireball. A blinding burst of light filled the scene with silence before a searing-hot shockwave roared across the plaza. Even Khars’Li—who had been sinking his carnosaur-bone dagger into the Annihilation’s back—was sent flying by it, tumbling over upon the ground. His tail thumped back to life before he did, the lizardman rising to his feet with a growl.
Away from this, Grimgor turned and, though not a word was spoken, met Green’s return with a grin. Her spirit was truly admirable—for a human—though her pink flesh was nothing to a real mean green war machine! Of course, that was before she impacted against his chestplate like a bullet, driving him backwards into the Annihilation’s head with force enough to pivot the monster itself nearly a full ninety degrees. A furious hiss preceded a cone of flame sprayed at Grimgor and Green both. Within the inferno, the Awakened Beast attempted to clutch his human rival and crush her into the pavement before—if she didn’t move away quick enough—letting go, only to stomp her further in.
Somu’s blasts singed into already ruined flesh, the beast’s back practically blown apart by this conjunction of all their attacks. Yet the Eater of Elders fought on. Only a glance was casted Somu’s direction before Dragonlord Placidusax’s crimson bolts crackled down at the flying menace, aiming to knock him out of the sky.
The roaring of thrusters overhead. The Annihilation heard them and swerved around. He pulled his right foreleg away, feeling the Gundam’s blade approach, yet it was too late. With chilling intensity, the Darksaber swept through the leg at the knee, smoke hissing from the charred stub. And of course, as this happened, the Infesting Blades sank into his flesh, disappearing into a brackish miasma that clung to the wound like a smoker’s hiss yellowed their walls. The sensation of only a few was enough for the dragon to realize they were dangerous. Fury brewed within the beast and exited as a raging roar, a frigid aura brewing to life around the Annihilation. Too many on him. He needed them off. He needed them away.
The monster shed the last of his scales, leaving his flesh without defense, but this by no means made things easier for our heroes. Swirling, the freezing winds around him picked up and carried the spikes he’d discarded, as well as the pieces of himself accumulated across the ground.
But this wasn’t all; his breeze grew stronger, and stronger still, even pulling in anyone nearby that wasn’t of the weight of the gathered monsters. Luin and Khars’Li both were drawn in, the former attempting to bury her blade into the ground as an anchor yet managing only to slow her unwilling approach. Finally, the Annihilation reared up, wreathed in Teostra’s flame, and the storm broke: a powerful burst of blazing wind exploded against the ground directly beneath him. Luin and others (who hadn’t found a way to steady themselves or escape its pull) were blown head over heels away in a wall of fire, further enhanced by the shattered spikes sent flying outwards over the scene like a frag grenade. Even Grimgor was knocked over, hitting the ground with a rattle. Whats more was the four flaming tornadoes he scattered in four different directions, aiming to attract and raze anyone caught in their path.
In the confused aftermath, the Annihilation lunged at Souleater, now prioritizing it as the most pressing threat. He only one arm for now, but one arm would be enough, as the Eater of Elders aimed to pin down and maim the mutated Gore Magala.

The bushes shuffle again, and the strange glint shifts before winking out…
…until a dark shape darts out for the object on the ground. Once it reaches it, the sudden movement ceases, and the shape resolves itself into a black wolf
◊, picking up the object from the ground, revealing it to be a homemade teddy bear. The wolf nibbles on it for a minute, before blinking, seeming to realize they’re being watched. Their gaze slowly drifts to the party, and they freeze, tucking their tail between their legs with a slight whine.
Before Shadow can open his mouth, another shape bolts in front of the first wolf, resolving itself into a second, slightly larger wolf, this one sporting a sleek, reddish-brown coat.
◊ This wolf stations themself in front of the first, bristling defensively with a tentative growl, though doesn’t make any movements. Shadow and Neodyme are briefly stunned into inaction, unsure of what to make of this development on the moment, save for exchanging a glance.

"They look wary. Should I pacify them~?" , Weber asks with a tone that sounds just a little too eerie to be comfortable with.
He may be doing that on purpose to tease them, but it's just as possible that his way of pacifying them wouldn't be a pleasant one.

Glint was relieved to see Hachi safe, and seeing the others activate their own... strange and wonderful abilities, he lunged forward.
"Alright! Strike with me!"
His rapier seemed to develop a radically distinct sheen. Plunging his blade forward, he then turned to trajectory of his swing. Slicing along the glowing on the monstrosity, a new glow popped up.
Follow up damage was important! It wasn't about the spikes of power... it's the consistency of your swings.
...he had this glowing above his head.
The Annihilation
Being slammed into repeatedly, Nagadilotep left out a whale-like shriek, seemingly perplexed at how much was swinging his way. He had to admit, he was large, he was in charge. So it makes sense that these creatures would wrestle more or less with one another. But having another elder dragon slam into him, and having more rebar scrape his side and under his scales, his tone sounded a tad annoyed.
"ONCE IM DONE WITH THIS DRAGON, THE REST OF YOU ARE NEXT!"
Shaking himself from the rubble, he saw where the Nergigante was looking, his own eyes narrowing as he took what little water there was and began to dive into it, seemingly disappearing despite his great size.
Venti was about ready to use those condensed bolts onto someone of his choice, grinning to himself as he was about ready to condensed them into a bolt. Then came the flames. Dropping concentration, which also meant losing this incredible buff, Venti created an anemo bubble around him to tank the first arc, surprised at its strength as the anemo swirled around him. Creating another burst of anrmo he initially shot himself further away from the flames-
Only for a spike to strike him just below the chest, gripping at the massive scale, Venti seemed to be collapsing from the air, his wings drooping as he descended. He still seemed alive, but the pain was intense, especially as the flame licked at his skin.
But before he could crash admit the ruble, Nagadilotep shot up. Grabbing onto Venti wirh his jaws the Leviathan soared over Mark. He'd try to grab at Mark's body with his forelimbs before he quickly landed atop his belly, placing venti within a crater of a building.
He tore the spike out of Venti, the Archon gasping like his heart was jumpstartwd as he felt at the wound.
"I need to get back in... they need me. That tornado... I can dispel it..."
Hearing the bard say this as he bled out across the stone flooring, Nagadilotep grabbed him gently in his jaws. Setting the archon onto his back, Nagadilotep them looked to Mark, his face looking...
Like he was gonna kill everyone here.
"Mark. Aid me now. Onto me. Unless you..."
Agitation flooding his person at what he perceived as a lack of cohesion, Nagadilotep roared to get everyone's attention, water beginning to course around him.
"You useless! Gah not enough time! You're not stronger than him alone! Act as A UNIT!"
Looking to the tornado, even without all those quill-like scales... the winds were gonna be zoning the other away. Clever Elder...
"I'M GOING TO BE GOING AGAINST THE CURRENT! USE MY WAKE TO GET CLOSE IN! I'M MORE THAN HAPPY TO TEAMPLE OVER SOMEONE AND TAKE THEIR POWER!"
He'd wait for Mark to hop on, if noy-
With another roar he began to slither counterclockwise with the flame.
Water coursed around Nagadilotep as abyssal brine, and his mouth was currently spraying more of it out as a pressure hose, trying to combat the fire tornado. A sea god could provide water of course. As he slithered with a bit more speed than expected, creating a surge of water that was rapidly evaporating away before being replenished by the Leviathan.
To Jorrvaskr
The brown wolf only seems to bristle even more at Weber's words, pinning their ears back to their head, while the black wolf shrinks back further, glancing between the brown wolf and Weber, though they seem to stiffen at Loki's words, nosing at their packmate, though they don't budge from their protective stance.
Shadow shoots a glare at Weber, and clicks his fingers, causing a brief pulse of sparkling light to envelop the group. When the light clears, the silence is broken by the addition of two new voices into the mix…
"-don't care if you are a Warlock, or even a Demon, Devil, or, Hells, some kind of walking nightmare, for all I know…what I do know is that I will not let you lay one damned finger on my little brother! Do you hear me, floaty‽"
This first voice, appearing to belong to the brown wolf, sounds feminine, and…a tad bit higher than the others are likely expecting, suggesting she must be on the younger side. There's a slight crack to it, as if she's doing her best to put on a brave face for the black wolf, despite clearly being intimidated. The black wolf continues to nudge her, whining.
"Sister…sister! It's alright, they don't look like they want to hurt us…except for that floating bandaged man, but it looks like the others aren't bothered by him...?"
This voice sounds younger than the first, with a slight masculine tone. This wolf, evidently younger brother to his companion, shifts his glance between his sister and Weber once more, eyeing the latter with caution.
Shadow turns back to the group, quirking an eyebrow with a slight smile.
"I just cast Speak with Animals on you guys, so you could hear what Neo and I are hearing. It seems they understood us before, but you couldnt understand them. Seems like they're youngsters."
His smile fades as he turns his glance to Weber, replaced by an unamused frown.
"…and your little quip just didn’t earn any points with them.”

"Well now, they understand English." , Weber chuckles.
And then he gets added to the mindlink, briefly looking confused.
Then he looks amused, raising his hands a little (though clearly not planning on doing anything rash).
"Oh? Maybe I should take on a less imposing appearance? Would that soothe you, kids?" , he asks. He at least doesn't make things worse as he stays in place instead of trying to approach.

In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.THE BLACK VOID OF DISTANT SPACE - some kind of abandoned space station idk
Whatever this place had once been, it had certainly lost any kind of stable orbit long ago. Left adrift further from the planet and star it was made to orbit- leaving it dead, empty, and in disrepair.
But, for what had to be the first time in possibly decades, this decrepit old station had a visitor. Albeit not a... normal one. Maybe? Nah, that definitely wasn't a normal method of arrival.
The familiar static crackling and then sudden pop filled the woman's
ears as her ship
breached itself back into reality, leaving a leaking crack behind it into the Netherum that quickly sealed under the weight of reality. The shimmering 'bubble' around it slowly went down, giving her time to adjust to any differences in this reality.
"...odd, this one was surprisingly easy to breach. Normally the field would struggle right as I hit the barrier- but it's almost like this one was designed for entry- oh stars what the heck happened here"
With a short fiddling with controls, she put the ship on autopilot towards the derelict station- giving her time to head to the cargo bay and change into a more proper suit.
...well, as proper as one can get in an oversized, soft-shelled EVA suit that wasn't made for use with clothing, but she'd squeezed into this enough times before, so it only took her a few minutes. As the helmet clicked into place, she sighed.
"Oooookay, just because I can't sense anyone in there or get a read on scanners, either doesn't mean there aren't things in there. Better see what happened to this place before I decide if I stay..."
She hit one of the buttons along the auxillary cargo hatches, and the cargo bay sealed itself off before depressurizing and allowing her to exit. She kicks off towards the station...
...and arrives at an old docking arm about a minute later, which she manages to pry open (thank goodness for safety mechanisms!) before closing it behind her and opening the other side of it. Her suit tells her the air is safe to breathe, but she keeps the suit on, an X-shaped light implanted in her forehead clicking on and shining bright light across the docking arm. At the same time, her mind is reaching out- telepathic power scanning for anyone else that might be here.
"...anyone home? Stars, would you even call this a home?"
aeiou: the secondStars, Cittufeni, Stained
From the abyssal darkness of the unlit station emerged a white-and-gold handgun, carrying a refined elegance. Ester was given a clear view into its barrel. Then the arm followed suit, and the gun lowered to the floor. The Lato’s owner stepped into view.
The pistol spun on her finger as the humanoid slid it to her hip where it remained bound, despite the lack of any sort of holster. "Was wondering who parked their junker out there. Scrapper?" A voice, electronic and harsh as though fed through some sort of modulator yet undeniably human, was emitted from the organic machine despite the lack of a mouth. Valkyr crossed the chamber, past Ester, and to the window out which she bent and peeked at the stars.
——
"Paving the way. I see." Cittufeni—back straightened without a hint of slouch—rested his open hands on his thighs. "I have met many who pave the way for their own roads. I wonder how many of these roads cross another. I wonder how many stop to think of the bodies they’ve buried beneath the cobble." A frown flashed onto his plastic visage before that old smile reclaimed its place. "I apologize. I did not mean to take such a…dire turn."
——
Khars’Li slitted eyes popped open in alarm as he planted the tip of his macuahuitl into the dirt and faced the blade’s flat to the explosion, sheltering behind it. While most of the damage went into the thankfully sturdy blade, Khars’Li was still propelled away by the force of it with some nasty burns. He rolled away yet rose all the same, smoke wafting from his azure form, and lifted his blade…only for half of it to drop, the remaining half charred black. The lizardman growled and tossed the now useless weapon aside. Okay…well, he still had the most reliable tools in his arsenal, and the only ones he’d ever need: the claws tipping each finger, and the fangs decorating his maw. As Veyolkos drew the now fused duo’s attention away, the Saurus attempted to reposition to a spot where he could leap onto the Gravios’ side unseen amidst the chaos, and slowly begin climbing up it once more at the Poacher…
Meanwhile, Luin hollered nonsense upon spotting the orb of Dragon rapidly approach. She tugged on Deluge’s reigns, though the Elder was quick and smart enough to have already pivoted away in a motion so dire his rider nearly dropped from her saddle. Once more she called upon Sheol, disappearing between worlds and re-emerging with a new buddy. From the great purple rift in the sky dropped a juvenile Brachydios, the pickup-truck sized Brute Wyvern aiming to land a punch on the Gravios’ skull as he dropped to the ground. Luin fell just beside him, Landslide held high overhead before swinging down at the same spot Rocky had just targeted to worsen the potential wound.
With great power…you know the rest. Some kind of abandoned space station
Not all things that exist in the darkness have a purpose. Some rocks are just content to drift forever, and that's well within their rights as rocks. Who would judge a rock for its favorite pass time? They enjoy drifting, it's enriching.
But a space station? The rocks used to make them were coerced with fire and swear words. For that reason specifically (as well as a large number of other reasons that may be more immediately probable but that won't be mentioned) the end result tended to be that a purpose was had, and then eventually lost.
Wait long enough, and this happened to all space stations, provided they were parked somewhere pleasant. This was an abandoned but remarkably spotless wreck.
Tilra
was there.
She knew she was not alone, and remained a baseline level of curious about that. She was more curious about what made derelict space stations such attractive tourist destinations. In so far as a "scrapper" was a kind of "tourist", anyways.
Tilra popped out from the ceiling from behind a loose panel, unfurling from the crawlspace like some horrible bug-person.
She wasn't a horrible bug-person though. Tilra was just very tall, with long legs that could flex in ways that weren't technically impossible for humans to accomplish, just... strange when they did. Compared to Valkyr, her presence wasn't as striking given that she seemed to be a "tall person in weird clothes" rather than "weird clothes in the shape of a tall person".
She stood up, and did not hit her head on anything. No, she definitely did not do that.
.I think she is a tourist.
Tilra spoke like she knew Valkyr, which she (also) did not. Her voice was deep, and her enunciation was as comprehensive as it could be without it making her sound as though her speech were impeded. Her tone, on the other hand, was roughly a step up in flatness from a sci-fi computer program.
Yatta!To Jorrvaskr
The brown wolf exchanges a glance with her brother, who gives her a small nod. With a huff, she steps back and pads next to him, keeping a close eye on the group.
"If you can, Floaty, do it. We've got…some bad memories of people who look like you do right now. If we can even call them people, with what they did…"
The black wolf winces at hearing that last sentence, but he nods to Thor.
"I…kind of figured. Didn't expect to see a Fiend around here, let alone one so…shady."
The brown seems confused for a moment, before narrowing her eyes, regarding Loki with suspicion.
"…master, huh? Tell me, why should I? After Floaty scared my brother like that…"
She shoots the black wolf a stern look.
"And you shouldn't have run off like that!"
The black wolf gives her a meek whine.
"I…just wanted my bear…sorry, Anya…"
The brown wolf's eyes snap open, and she frantically glances between her brother and the group, giving a shocked yip.
"Wh-…Sirius, you can't just give away my name like tha-", she splutters, only to catch herself, lowering her ears and looking comically bemused with herself for outing her brother in response, placing her paws on her muzzle with a frustrated growl.
"…Stars, that was stupid of me."
Sirius gives Anya an embarrassed smile, and looks back to the group, cocking his head to the side.
"…well, that's our names out of the way, I guess…do you think you could tell us yours? Just so we know who we're dealing with."
Shadow nods.
"I'm Shadow, Aspect of Darkness. This is my little sibling." , he says, gesturing to Neodyme, who nods.
"I am Neodyme, Aspect of Metal and Energy. It is a pleasure to meet you."

Shujin laughed in a low throaty warble, his jaws snapping shut as he ended the pleasantries and took out a cabinet behind him.
"Interesting way to say you are looking to buy."
Undoing the cabinet, the doors opened to reveal a wild hosts of trenchcoats, shrouds, coats, wide hats, tall hats, masks, and bandana. Many were of the local legends or fictional characters, a tengu mask among the likes such as a Pikachu bandana or a unisex OP Chopper Hat.
But amidst them, a black rancher hat

There was a confidence in his words, as he was just as aware the more "monstrous" to a human you looked, the harder it wad tp hide in plain sight. In reality, in full lighting, all his wares tailored for someone like Ouazo would make him look like an eccentric.
But what were his Morning!
Elsewhere the sensitive nose of her assailant was being attacked by the chemical concoction. In most instances, it would be infective: the cone too narrow and the range too short. But because it was taking its sweet time attacking her shelter, it landed on the mark. The creature despite boarish appearance made noises more like an annoyed horse as it quickly back-peddled from the camp. Stomping its hooves against the ground, the Hantā Inoshishi brayed like a steed from hell before wildly sneezing. A very thin window for escape had opened up, given despite her call no one came.
Bar a... figure in the trees near the highway. Thin headed and with wings tucked, looking at her in a leopard-esque pose. Their sillihoute was faint, but if she made their way towards the highway rhe figure would disappear further into the trees.
AwawaHana burst from the tent folds immediately after the creature drew away from them, seizing that brief window of opportunity. She took off away from it and toward the highway, those high school track and cross-country reflexes resurfacing as she sprinted over branches and logs from the creature with silent terror. So blinded by fright was she that she failed to notice the shadow-strewn figure until it had already begun moving away. “Help! Hey!”
With great power…you know the rest.Ouazo looked at the mask and coat and such impassively. Inwardly, he thought that they looked really cool. But he did not want to admit so in front of the merchant. And though they seemed a bit too bird-like, it wasn't like any other mask could fit. Lest he pretend to be afflicted with a nose so distressingly long as to be a beak in its own right.
It was a fair price. And, he thought, with what he would bring to town, those would be expected clothing.
Now to spend his yens.
Very well. I shall give you the metal trinkets and you shall give me the clothing once I've delivered the required amount of metal circles.

Very pleased with the agreement, Shujin would wait for Ouazo to be paying his side of the bargain, before raising a brow at the Akat-Var.
"You have Yen but you don't exactly speak like a local... you're on someone's behalf."
The merchant sounded very pleased with his own assumption, the digiadomen chuckling a little, his jowels moving in rhythm before he snapped his jaws shut, steam leaking out of the edges of his mouth.
"Doesn't matter. Monk money, blood money, salaryman's dough. Can't be stingy nowadays. I've got storefronts all around... so I'll be seeing you soon."
He looked around a bit before leaning in to whisper to Ouazo, somehow able to do something as his giant head eclipsed the akat-Var's peripheral.
"Look for the warehouse bar with an auk... They can get you off Hokkadio if your destination lies south..."
That's when both of them heard a shriek, like a hawk's cry. It ended in a low rumble, and quickly the forest was silent once more. The merchant snickered and looked to the Akat-Var.
"Head west to the bay... it's safer."
Before retreating back into the foxhole with all his wares.
Hana's pepper spray didn't work long on the creature. Despite the proximity and sensitivity of its nose, it quickly turned to her, wheeling around before immediately taking off into a full sprint. It's legs began to carry it from a simple prance to a full on 48 kph (30 mph) gallop, and despite Hana's head start she could already feel the snow and wet leaves the creature kicked up hitting her heels.
She could feel the heat of its breath on her back. Unlike in horror stories, predators didn't roar during their pursuit, and if they could, they'd prefer to quietly dispatch their target.
Hana would soon be the only one screaming as it thrashed her in its jaws-
Maybe she knew of the Dieulung, maybe she didn't.
◊ But all she knew was there was one before her, the length of a lioness, adorned in tengu themed samurai armor
◊, and wielding an Naginata. The Huntā Inoshishi stopped in its tracks, as the warrior made a shrill hawk-like cry, and spun the Naginata around, whirling the blade around the enteledont with such speed it was practically back-peddling at full speed. Worried for its own hide, the Enteledont took off, small tail raised high in the air as it galloping away and up a slope in record time.
Hana could only get a couple words in before the creature spoke in an older man's voice, in the lands mother tongue.
"Do not return at this hour. At least... not without arms."
It stared up at the highway she had been running to, looking back at her under the helm.
"West of you is a bay. There is warmth. You may be an untouchable... or outcasts. But this is no place to rest."
She would only be able to get in a few more words before the figure retreated into the treetops.

"... even if I could accept that reasoning, I just told you. It's personal as well."
He looks grimly determined.
"I won't stop trying to stop them until the day I perish. Again."
