Reyna vs. Kaiba
Reyna grumbles. "...If the effect was random like it is in the original game, instead of letting you pick a target, it'd bypass that effect."
She draws a card.
"Nevertheless, I summon my second Shino,
then play Option C to give her Flight. Not that it matters, but Option C's random-target debuff still affects your Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon, since the effect states that no player can target a monster, which doesn't account for random selection. Then I attack your Life Points directly with Flight, gaining Combo!"
That is 600 damage to Kaiba.
She's hoping that Kaiba sees a need to pick one of her two threatening monsters to eliminate and can't just kill both.

Domon is cut off and winces as the Grand Gundam bit stabs into his cockpit.
He endures the attacks from the rest of the bits up until Master Gundam's. The sphere of energy between his hands suddenly transfers into his right palm, Burning Gundam's bracer sliding into position, before clashing against the Darkness Finger with Burning Finger.
Then, with his left hand, he channels a different sort of energy, punches the Master Gundam bit from the side...
and sends a bright blue glow spreading through the DG Cell material. Roots grow from its torso, binding it to the ground. Its arms stick out and sprout leaves, its fingers becoming branches.
The bit transforms into a giant tree.
"...Huh."
He promptly claps his hands together to combine the energy in his left hand with his right hand, then lunges for the Devil Gundam Junior.

Charlian rolled his jaw a little as he considered what to say to her. Drawing on some experiences that he never thought would actually be of use again, he decided to keep the questions open so she eventually opens up on her own. "It sounds like it was cathartic to finally take her down in the moment, but it didn't leave you feel any more satisfied." He leaned back and spoke in an empathetic manner. "How exactly did you feel when you were confronted by Code Amelias, and when you fought her?"

The Zaku just straight up put away its gun and meet the Death Army troop head-on, actually getting on all four in a distressingly easy manner as a mech not meant to do movements like these just straight-up start charging. It's more similar to a gorilla's way of running by pounding the ground with its arms, in fairness, but it's still an eerie sight.
And then, in a bout of unusual cleverness, it fires up its thrusters to fly over the Death Army trooper, at which point it attempts to come down on the Death Beast like a Red Comet to land right on its big spiky ugly head! It doesn't even draw its axe, instead coming down with enough strength to cause a minor earthquake.
The Lion Rouge clash with the Graze. Depending on how they're positioned, it dares an headbutt, rearing its head before doing a headbutt strong enough to blow the grass away around it. Should it succeed, it then draws its sword back, left hand fingers touching the tip of its dark saber as it rear it back with its right hand before stabbing forward!
Maul keep pushing. Aware of the fact he's an Outside-Context Problem to these guys, he goes straight in with a human blender technique, spinning his lightsaber to confuse and cut apart troops in front of him. He try to use speed, brutality and confusion to progress through the base quickly, steps echoing as he makes his way over to the Medicine Vendor... as awkwardly as possible.
Meanwhile, Mal's candid demeanor drops when he hears the birds. And he actually grimaces in a way that shows his sharp teeth.

"Yeah..." Amelias admits with a sigh, pulling up her legs so she could sit while clutching her knees pensively. "Crushing guilt at first, despair. Then..."
She looks away.
"Anger. Especially when she attacked you all and kept talking and talking." she said, grip on her legs tightening. "I just wanted her to shut up."
She sighs, slumping a little.

Kaiba draws a card after taking his 600 damage. That measly bit of Life Points damage doesn't matter to him now though. He has all the cards he needs now.
"I play the Spell Card Ultimate Fusion
. By sending my two Blue-Eyes White Dragons in the hand back into the deck along with the Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon in my Graveyard, I Fusion Summon Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon
◊!"
The three cards are sent back, and the three-headed giant dragon appears on the field.
"Thanks to the effect of Ultimate Fusion, I can destroy cards equal to the amount of Blue-Eyes White Dragons I sent back. Since I sent back two of them, both your monsters will be destroyed!"
Both Shino and the Admiral will be destroyed by the effect of Ultimate Fusion.
"I place one card face-down, and then I end my turn."
A glowing card appears in the Spell and Trap zone behind the Ultimate Dragon. Azure-Eyes' targeting-blocking effect ceases.

"So even gods can mess up.", Kaiba says, slightly smirking in amusement. He then looks down at his Duel Disk.
"I've been trying to track the Ultimate Dragon for a while now too. It's one of the main reasons I'm still in this place. The other was my aforementioned duel."
The dragon looks at Shadow as he talks to it. It doesn't really respond this time, but it also doesn't really have to, as Shadow's making a statement here and not asking a question.
Noah sightly smirks when Shadow tells him he's right. Because of course.
"We think it's because Seto was dueling in the same place where Yugi and the Pharaoh had their final duel.", Mokuba says. "Maybe Obelisk's spirit was still there."
As for the Ultimate Dragon, it now responds.
"THEY CAN HEAR."
So that's a yes on the idea. Shadow probably extends the link at this point before asking his next question.
"IT DIDN'T HURT ENOUGH TO REMEMBER IF IT DID AT ALL."
Hearing those voices all of a sudden startles the Kaiba brothers a bit.
"Whoa, was that... the dragon talking?", Mokuba asks. Noah glances away.
"I guess you really were truthful about the whole thing, huh?"
Kaiba simply nods, prompting the dragon to keep speaking. He expected an answer like that. Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon is a mighty creature, he figured it'd be able to handle that.
... well, he had hoped as such. But he's not going to say that out loud.
The answer should come as a relief to Shadow. If it didn't hurt enough for it to remember if it hurt at all, then it didn't suffer.

"Damn it."
Reyna takes another deep breath as she draws what may well be her last card.
"I invoke my Hero Art!"
The same sequence of a boy appearing beside Nina and transforming into a dragon plays out again, adding a copy of Kaiser Breath to her hand. Her last chance at victory.
"Then I play..."
In fact.
She could effectively end it right now, couldn't she?
She could Kaiser Breath his Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. Then whatever plan he's cooking up will be dead in the water.
But she wants his approval. She wants the stupid amount of time and effort she sank into these cards to be validated. And she knows Kaiba has something to show off, and it would irritate him to miss the chance now.
"...Agent's Memories.
Thanks to the Memory Count, the number of Spell Cards I've played, being above 4, it will reduce your Ultimate Dragon's DEF by 500 and your LP by 1000."
Gunfire and echoing shouts and screams ring out as the damage is dealt.
"Finally...I summon Winged Princess Nina

... Nothing appears on the field. Even as she plays the card.

Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon's DEF takes a hit. But its stats don't matter for this duel. All it had to do was survive for one turn.
"Nothing appeared. I know my Duel Disks are working properly, so whatever you did must've been an illegal move for it to not work.", Kaiba says. "Either way... you ended your turn."
He draws his card and grins. Exactly the card he needed.
"I activate a second Ultimate Fusion. By sending my Ultimate Dragon back to the Extra Deck..."
The Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon disappears in a beam of light.
"Along with sending the Chaos Dragon Levianeer
◊ in my hand back to the deck..."
The card is sent back automatically.
"I can Fusion Summon a monster that the world has never seen before! The latest card for Blue-Eyes supremacy, complimentary of Pegasus!"
"Pegasus?", Mokuba asks, surprised.
"Behold the debut of Dragon Master Magia
◊!"
A blue light envelops the field as the giant beast takes form, making its grand appearance with a monstrous 5000 ATK and 4000 DEF. Naturally, he summons the card in Attack Mode.
"Now, bring this duel to an end!"
Dragon Master Magia, both dragon and rider alike, conjure up a combination of white lightning and black chaotic energy, which they then fire down at Reyna in a spiraling combined beam attack.

”Lol”, he said. “Lmao.”
Shadow nods to Kaiba.
”Yeah, I mean, obviously your entire world is closely tied to Ancient Egyptian Mythology, but have you seen the Greek Pantheon? In many worlds they’re considered the poster children for Divine folly, whether it be the passive or aggressive sort.”
He smiles.
”Y’know, it’s an intriguing thought, having Obelisk just hanging around after the duel. One wonders why he decided to stick around. Would love to ask him if I eventually get the chance, since we’re on the topic of God-to-God meetings.”
He nods to Kii-Saa-Raa (Dangit Psyco I fought for this name and I’m going to use it even if you don’t), and clicks his fingers, connecting the Kaibas’ minds to his and Kii-Saa-Raa’s, allowing them to understand each other.
”Done.”
In response to Kii-Saa-Raa’s statement, Shadow sighs with relief, smiling up at them.
”That’s good to know. I still think what you did was extremely brave and selfless. I’ve got a feeling that the Egyptian Gods are proud of you as well.”
He nods to Mokuba.
”Yeah, sorry! Forgot to mention they identify as three individuals but have a penchant for thinking and speaking in unison. Come to think of it…”
He looks back up at Kii-Saa-Raa.
”I know you didn’t even have names for yourselves before now, but now I’m curious and I’ve gotta’ know some things. Two questions:”
He raises one finger.
”First, have any of you ever disagreed with each other on something or otherwise processed a thought separately from your ‘siblings’, or are your minds always kept perfectly in sync? If so, is it automatic or a conscious effort?”
He raises a second finger, and takes on a playful smile.
”Alright, on a less serious note… Second question: Do you eat? If so, do each of you have a different favorite food? And if one of you eats something, can the other two taste it as well?”
He quirks an eyebrow at Noah.
”Man, you still didn’t completely believe me after they bowled you over? I’m not the kind of God that demands worship, but, c’mon, have a little faith.”
Permitted Kii-Saa-Raa lets him, Shadow pats them affectionately and smiles warmly.
”Happy to hear it wasn’t too stressful. I know the shock of revival can be intense for some people, so I just wanted to check in.”
He tilts his head, looking curious.
”So here’s a question that I’m sure the others must be thinking…do you remember how you got here to begin with? To the Arena as a whole, I mean. It’s got to have been a long time ago, with how well you’ve adapted. You seem to be not just surviving, but thriving out here, which is good.”

Reyna vs. Kaiba
Nina, the virtual character who has been on the field for the entire duel as the target for Kaiba's attacks and channeler of Hero Arts, looks up at the dragon's breath attack...and blocks it with an arcane barrier, interrupting Kaiba's turn.
"I will go down fighting."
Battle for Tomorrow ~SE Collection~ -TEPPEN Ver.-
"Nina is both the card I just played and the Hero I've been using this entire duel," Reyna surmises. "They're one and the same. It's a final Hail Mary—if she falls, I lose, but she'll fight with everything she has."
Nina flares with light, a marker on her card shooting up from Level 1 to Level 4. It is a card effect...but Kaiba can't negate it and destroy her.
"Nina as a card has Veil built-in, making her permanently immune to being directly targeted by card effects! And with her Quest ability, she has leveled up, raising her stats to a total of 300 ATK and 1000 DEF, and granting me the Spell Cards 'Jolt' and 'Myollnir'. By all rights, that shouldn't be nearly enough to stand up to your card...but this being has my fighting spirit in her!"
Reyna plays Kaiser Breath, letting the Dragon Master Magia negate and destroy the spell, as it has to if Kaiba doesn't want it to lose here and now. It also serves to show off the Master Magia's abilities.
It may not be obvious to a common onlooker, but she basically indirectly told Kaiba she could've killed his ultimate monster here and now, since she had more Spell Cards that she could've played before Kaiser Breath to burn through Dragon Master Magia's limited negation.
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Reyna VS Kaiba
To say that catches him off guard is an understatement. She was prepared for this after all!
He indeed is forced to use Dragon Master Magia's effect to block Kaiser Breath. He would not accept for Magia to go down so easily.
His expression is unreadable. It's unclear if he's impressed or pissed off right now. Either way, Reyna has a turn to finish.

"... well, if anything can happen in this world, maybe you'll get the chance to talk to an Egyptian God here someday.", Mokuba says to Shadow.
The Ultimate Dragon's heads look at one another before answering Shadow's questions.
"WE'VE THOUGHT DIFFERENT THINGS BEFORE. BUT WE ALWAYS WORK IN UNISON."
Commendable. They don't let differing opinions get in the way of their decision-making.
"WE EAT MEAT. WE HUNT. PLENTY APPEARS IN THIS WORLD IF YOU KNOW WHERE TO LOOK."
And that answers that question. It allows itself to be petted afterwards, though they seem to pause when Shadow asks his final question.
"... WE CAN'T SAY."
"You can't say? What does that mean?", Noah asks, confused. Mokuba's a little confused too. But Kaiba clearly gets it.
It didn't say it didn't want to say. It said it 'can't' say. Meaning it wasn't warped into the Arena at random. It was brought here with a purpose. One it's not supposed to say.
"... odd answer. But acceptable. Let's move on from that subject.", Kaiba says.

"Here goes!"
Nina swings her wand down, striking the dragons with a much larger blast of lightning.

He grins.
"Their release date will be unveiled soon. Be ready for it!"
With that, the broadcast ends. Kaiba now turns to Reyna, who's probably anxious about what he's about to say.

Shadow gives a flat look to Noah.
"You're well-read on Deities, but your immediate reaction toward meeting me was to act like a pompous jerk. You're lucky I'm not the Smiting type, because some of the Gods I've met would have been much more unhappy with your conduct than I've been. Comparatively, I'm a fluffy kitten."
He smiles to Mokuba, and then looks up at Kii-Saa-Raa, giving a confirmatory nod.
"Alright, that makes sense. I respect that in a situation like yours. Can you think of anything in particular that you've had differing thoughts about recently? Much as it might be an odd notion to you, I'd like to get to know each of you as an individual. Surely there's some little things that set you apart from each other in some way. This is just an example, but do any of you control different parts of your body?"
Upon hearing of their diet, Shadow pauses for a moment, then nods.
"Mmkay, I see. So..."
He clicks his fingers, causing two raw steaks to appear in midair above his head.
"Do you typically like your food raw..."
He clicks his fingers again, causing one of the steaks to erupt into violet flame, grilling it to perfection in an instant.
"...or cooked? Also, what type of game do you typically hunt? Or does it depend on what sort of animal gets dumped into the Arena by the rift phenomena, and you don't like to be picky? If so, I can respect that...though, you've got to have had one or two things that you enjoyed."
He quirks an eyebrow at their answer to how they ended up in the Arena, but shrugs.
"Ah. I won't push, my friends."
He tilts his head, looking thoughtful.
"So, have you met any others of your kind out here in the Arena, or any other living monsters from your world? I know you probably came to the Lost Woods for the solitude, but I wouldn't want you three getting lonely from too much of it."

Situation VIII
Grimgor’s green silhouette became a dark, almost night-black one as Reddie’s lightning hit him, revealing a misshapen skeleton beneath layers of thick hide and muscle, even his bones bearing scars. His skull bore a cleft in the cranium, and another on the lower jaw, and a wide array of fearsome fangs in irregular order, with his left tusk broken halfway. They were arranged in a grin. When the lightning faded, Grimgor’s sole, blazing eye was locked onto Reddie with venomous intent, his head framed from the smoke lifting off his armor and flesh from the attack. Uncharred.
Venti’s blasts of kinetically-charged bolts kept Grimgor in place…almost frighteningly so, given that he was making no effort to move from his place. They burst against his armor, shook him and pushed his posture around, yet his feet remained in that same spot all throughout the group’s assault and not once did they move from it. His axe, bladeside down on the street, waiting lazily for its turn as his eye narrowed toward Venti, took in his face as he had all the others.
Next on the list was Somu and his colorless streak of energy, hurled at the Greenskin’s chest…and lifting from the new darkly-painted splotch on his chestplate in foggy wisps. Grimgor’s eye found that man too. Powerful forces were at work here; Gork and Mork and the WAAAGH! was quite capable, as we will later learn (subtle foreshadowing) of defying even Death. After came Sebastien’s bolts, most breaking against his skin while one found a spot in his gums, between two curved fangs. Blood dripped from it already, darkened by poison. His tongue rose in his maw and broke the bolt from his flesh before swallowing it. Sebastien fell under his gaze next.
Finally but far from least came Green, smashing against his fist and at last the green slaughtered moved from his spot, took a step back to brace himself against the sheer impact of the warrior. His grin crumbled to genuine surprise for a moment before coming back twice as wide. Low, rumbling laughter rolled from between.
"ZAT ALL?"
Evidently not. Guts reapproached quickly from the side, massive blade swinging at the thirteen-foot monster yet earning himself little more than yet another chip. From the swordsman’s shadows came Megumi, who blasted at his foe’s skull with a piercing stream of water. In almost a flash the orc’s hand was before him and rather than through his eye, the jet was searing into his broad palm. Behind it burned his scornful gaze down at Megumi. An enemy attacking from shadows…after dealing for years with Skaven and the Niipon people—who this human bore a resemblance to visually—he was well acquainted with the sort, and knew the best was to deal with them was to burn away their cover.
His axe lifted at smash in the other hand before smashing immediately into the ground, a rain of sparks lighting the area for just a moment and doing away with the shadows. In that moment he thrust a leg forwards, kicked Guts away in the direction of Sebastien. The foot snapped down, planted there, and next rose the other in a kick at Somu, not quite aiming him anywhere and more just trying to kick the man. His arm banked sharply and from his grasp flew the axe, spinning and whirling towards Venti. Whether or not the massive tool hit, Grimgor would next focus on Green, aiming to snatch the woman in a mighty fist and spike her into the ground.
As Yuji hurled Radahn, a reinvigorated chuckle left the demigod’s lips, fading as he completely passed Grimgor, and shrunk against the dark sky…before returning as a roaring laugh! Radahn, followed by a billowing trail in his wake, smashed into the great green general with both blades crossed, yet just as the others had, managed only to chip his armor. He didn’t seem to mind though, sliding past Grimgor and assuming a confident pose with arms wide and swords spread, their ebony tips screaming against the street. Grimgor kept his back to the Scarscourge, only reached his hand out in Gitsnik’s direction. "WUN OV YOOZ…" He snarled. "GIMME ME AXE."

Well, today’s that thing’s unlucky day—" He drove the tip of Red Queen into the sand, revving its grip as the blade pulsated red and tendrils of flame hissed off it, "’Cuz I’m packing heat!"
While the GAEC is focusing on Soma, he exploded towards the decapod and leapt past its legs, attempting to sever as many of them with the flaming sword as possible.

Yoru glanced sideways at Nymbulda, her smile falling for an instant as she thought back to how she knew— That damn subway! The War Devil tossed the remnants of a bleeding blade aside, disintegrating before it hit the ground, and wiped the blood from her eyes. Asa’ll need her name, I bet. "Yoru. The War Devil. You’re..?" She kicked away a wayward arm at her feet, bending down to dig her hands into the internals of a halved corse and pull from it a piece of the digestive tract. "Large Intestine-Whip." As she spoke the words, the organ became just that.
With great power…you know the rest.A Quick Chat

Charlian took a deep breath and let out said breath slowly, before he looked Amelias in the eyes and spoke firmly but not harshly. "It's understandable that anger overwhelmed you when you're not just facing a terrible part of your past, but also helping the rest of us." The young man spoke with a small smile on his face, but just as he's about to continue... "Moreover, I..." He can't help but feel like something is missing.
The Replicator considered what to say carefully before deciding to let himself speak more freely. Words coming from the bottom of his heart seemed best for a moment like this, as opposed to more measured responses.
"I know what it feels like, you know. To try and want to wipe something malicious and putrid off the face of this dimensional nexus. It's not the same as what you went through, but it's... somewhat close." His smile disappeared as he reminisced on the blue-haired spirit he fought in the past, as well as the anger towards the injustice suffered by a friend he felt in that heated moment. Charlian's voice became lower and, most notably, quieter. "I tried to kill her by slicing her into pieces and scattering her to the wind, but... it didn't work. I was overtaken, because I attacked while I was angry and when I was... confused. With myself, I mean."

Mortified by her complete aversion to honoring the dead, she shook her head and spoke up, focusing her attention on Yoru
"Its Nymbulda. I'm Knight-Errand of the Kurrangk, Blade of the Muldjewangk."
She looked to Yoru and seemed almost disappointed. Part of her wondered how many good souls really were in the arena. These people... they died so regularly. It worried her something fierce. But all she could do was face the problems ahead of her.
"Yes you made a whip. And another devil? How come you guys always wind up running into me. Its absurd!"
She rolled her neck and shoulders, slithering forward.
"Come with me now... you've done enough damage."
Cairo-Venti
He has been in this spot before-
Three times actually.
The first time was against the Storm King, but the blow only grazed gis hood and wings. Even then he felt mortified, but through the Nameless Bard's energy and those of the king's revolting subjects, did he banish the king. But currently he moved way too slowly to evade this srrike.
The second against that Mitachurl... Acksnur the Magebane. The axe... not too different from what Grimgor was using. In fact, it was a sickening parallel. For as the blade cut through Venti's bow and shoulder did it give him a clue this was eerily ritual at play-
But the force was only comparable to the third time, when Regus Dhanag landed atop him from his ship and plunged him into the earth. When he and Zhongli fought hard in Liyue Harbor, they did everything right!
And they still lost.
That power that rushed through his body, the breath that left him then, well he felt it here too.
Oh he recognized this feeling well. It was that searing pain of his body being split.
He quickly bursted away from the strike with some remaining anemo, his left arm and shoulder hanging limply.
"That weapon drains energy!"
He began to mend his arm back into place, anemo acting as healing flesh as he took a quick breath. The bow was broken, and he'd have to try something new-
Or rather... something he was scared to use. Whistling to the heavens, a spear descended from the heavens and onto the earth before Venti. A shield was attached to it, and Venti looking to the destruction Grimgor was already capable of bit his lip and reached out for it.
He held the shield out infront of him
◊, and moving forward grabbed Gitsnik and sent it back to Grimgor.
"GREENSKIN!"
Hoping he caught his attention, he bashed the shield againat the shield, and roared our a battle cry, trying to challenge the Orc.

The Medicine Vendor looks tonthr guard with the gun and swiftly jumps to the wall on his left, launching launching the adjacent one. Throwing the fan he aims it at the eyes of the guard. Luckily the fan is not some bladed contraption that severs his head in two, ur it does prevent him from seeing until it's too late-
The Medicine Vendor kicking him square in the side of his face, sending them flying. If the guard is knocked out, he'd immediately go for the door, opening it to continue running.
