can't believe he's scoring. He can't believe he's scoring with a girl at her place. It has to be super duper rare, right? Usually, guys invite the girls, not the opposite, so it must have meant she liked him super duper much!

Y-yeah! He blurts out, attempting to grab her hand. I don't mind! I wanna see your place! I bet it's full of neat stuff! Because you're neat too!

The Theatre

Denji seemed to hit some magical wording with Nymbulda, her blush in her face less noticeable than the way the spots along her frame glowed.

"I mean... I could do more to decorate it and live it up."

She didn't look at him directly, but finding her arms wrapping tightly back around him and the fact she was purring like a puma... he figured something had clicked. She seemed way more calm, if a tad possessive.

"Maybe in our conquests we can set up a trophy wall... no too macabre... Nah let's go for... No not photos, too cheesy. We'll figure something out..."

That's when he felt her carrying him out of the theater room.

Aura stumbles into the portal. His flustered voice calls back from the other side, "D-don't do that!"

Looking around and noticing Jerrod, he assumes the latter made the portal and sighs.

"So, what's the situation?"

Filthy Corpse World

"Oh, how fun,"    Collector Samus grumbles sarcastically. She puts on her helmet and starts blasting down Lane 3.

The Lennas jump Lane 1's Dark Samus together with their swords.

That was a good cinema date, he think. And the movie?

Untold Loss

Outside, it began to rain.

By comparison, this room was brighter

Large, lit by machines that lined the walls.

It was impossible to know their purpose.

At exit from the portal, Power's voice was the first thing to echo out.

Then, Aura's question, which answered itself.

Rotten Light In Hidden Sea

All That Which Can Love Can Lie

There was a woman at the other end of the room.

She was wearing a dress that was nearly white.

Her hair was black, and there was a jagged halo just above her head.

"It took... so very long, Jerrod, and Power, and Aura, and Croque."

She spoke like she was manic. Every word like it was choked. Every syllable like it was a struggle to breathe. Her voice was so intentional it was as if she had spent a million years thinking of every single word. That she was on the verge of laughing. That she was angrier than anyone had ever been.

That woman.

With a nearly white dress.

She turned, and looked, at them. Through them. Her eyes were white and gold. She looked human, except for one hand, which was made of metal.

"...And Popillion,"    she said, grinning ear to ear.

They say that

Beowulf

Died, when a dragon

Sunk its fangs

Into his

Neck

.

Behind her, behind Ana, was the Eraser Defoliant. It was a towering device that stretched its tubes and wires across the room, engulfing it like it was desperate to be loved by something, anyone, please, help me...

Popillion's arm morphed, into... a weapon, as it was supposed to. Ana watched.

"The weapon is embedded in the far wall, right behind her," Popillion said, trying to hide the tremor in her voice. She kept her weapon level with Ana, "Like I predicted, it doesn't seem to have fully charged yet, so let's defuse it- and then get rid of this thing."

Jerrod did not even blink to try and adjust to the new room's lighting due to the golden empowerment of his EGO improving every aspect of his physicality, and the first thing his eyes did was sweeping over every single inch of the room in order to know what angle is best to strike down the woman they have come to confront. The air of confidence and informality that once contrasted the dark, empty halls of the base evaporated as if it's just a thin layer of vapor, replaced by tension and single-minded focus.

Said woman is currently standing on the other end of the room, opposing them on their way to disable the Eraser Defoliant, welcoming them as if they have intruded upon her domain, and mocking them with every word as if she had already seen everything they have to offer. That is something he expected from a potent psychic who has utterly dominated this base, but the way she carried herself with such... restraint is something he did not.

It took the man about as long as Ana finished speaking for him to see every inch of the room from his current position and for flesh to crawl onto his hands, transforming them into strange stumps. Popillion didn't even have the chance to finish her sentence before his arms suddenly lashed out into the air, with Spatial Infractor carving an ugly X-shaped wound in the very space in front of him that transported the energy blades emitted from his stump right behind Ana's neck, an attack that makes good on his promise to immediately go for the kill. In this case, it aims to cleave her into four clean pieces, with the center of the "X" being her neck.

At the same time, golden portals opened up all over the place like an obstacle course, with some aiming towards the ceiling diagonally and some seemingly facing the walls, and so on, something that's done in an attempt to confuse Ana. However, there's always one that opened right before each of his allies, as if giving them an option.

"Move. Sabotage or kill, use my portals or not, I don't care."

The man exclaimed without even looking at his teammates, silently asking them to go do something, and he doesn't even care if they don't use his portals to do so, as long as they move and don't stand there for even a second longer.

Oh, and just in case he hasn't made his intent clear-

"JUST MOVE. NOW."

While the pattern appears random, the portals' trajectories and paths that his teammates will take if they step through will always make it so they end up near the Eraser Defoliant.

Beowulf may have perished at the fangs of a dragon, but the dragon was also slain by his blades.

The dragon may have perished at the swords of Beowulf, but its fangs took the warrior's life in return.

Either way, at least one side will perish today, and Jerrod is going to make damn sure it's not his side.

Yet, he can't help but narrow his eyes ever so slightly at the tiny chink in his resolve.

When has he ever been someone who protects his own side rather than slaughtering his opponents?

No, he will kill her today, and he will use every bit of his own strength.

Situation I

Annie Leonhart’s arms had regrown by now to their normal state, but still she doubted their plan. ODM gear was as efficient as could be in this kind of situation: navigating towards and into close range of a colossal threat, and yet it only worked because of how nimble it was. Not to call Thorn’s weighing scale score into question, with the added mass of a whole other person, she doubted it’d retain that same strength. Thus murmured the Eldian: ”I have a better idea.”

The reason she had Sebastien handicap her was because she, admittedly, doubted the security of her own sanity. But now, with the rage brought temporarily down to a more manageable level, she was comfortable revealing her ace in the sleeve. Or, more accurately, in the spine. Annie brought her hand to her mouth and bit down hard.

The air around her crackled. Thorn was lifted suddenly into the air, yet with firm ground beneath her. If her reflexes were quick enough she’d catch on to what was happening before her trip to the Mother-in-Stars. Waves of bone and muscle tissue unfolding out from eachother, the very air luminous with gold light and charged. An eldritch power was being summoned here, a conduit for life itself rivaling something vastly akin to itself. Thorn sat in the palm of Annie’s titan, but not for long; before the transformation was even complete she had thrown the Sith directly at Cairo’s (as of this moment) most concerning foe, taking a gambit. Because if this risk didn’t pay off, and her fury continued to spill out over the people of this city, her included…

Yet thankfully, it seemed like that risk paid off. Abeloth’s violence winded down. It didn’t stop, yet most now were able to break from its hold, as people on the streets woke up to the blood on their hands. Some remained lost in their fury, of course, but most had snapped from the stupor.

When screams of rage subsided into screams of regret and mourning, Radahn eased up on Brutus, currently under the massive Tigrex subspecies and fighting it off. As he attempted to hold the monster’s jaws in place and away from his face, he looked up and down both sides of the streets below him.    "The festivities close so quickly?"    He rumbled sadly.    "Alas…"    The Demigod shrunk again to his “human” (despite being far taller than any normal human could be) size and summoned back to him his equally shrunk greatswords—still the size of an average man—and hoisted them on his back as he rolled out from under the Tigrex.    "Thou’ve a worthy beast under thy command, mortal one!"    He laughed to Sebastien.    "I see now why the hearty Luin takes such a shine to thee!"    Then, upon noticing the Female Titan:    "Bwahaha! When did this happen?"

Ignoring the demigod, Annie remained locked onto the issue at hand. She couldn’t talk but neither did she want to risk returning to normal just yet. She’d already used up one of her three transformations, and it was shaping up to be a long night. But even if she couldn’t say it, she was sure the others knew, that they could feel it too, that primal pull not-so-deep down: Abeloth remained.

Aelun, of course, remained honkkk snoo.

Situation II

"This man," he began, gesturing down at Pucci below, "is my friend. And he’ll not be touched." His voice, his tone, his whole manner of speaking was…something else. Alluring. Like sirensong wailed over the open sea, it beckoned them, massaged their minds yet alerted the darker, primordial parts where resided fear. It asked them to steer into the rocks. As Jayce crumpled the lamppost, DIO rode it all the way down with that same posture with a cat’s balance, those same arms folded over his chest and that same sharp smirk, bearing his fangs to the warm night. Once the lamppost had crumpled fully he stepped off, boots clicking against the ground.

Pucci froze as he didn’t see so much as felt the claws at his neck, the presence of a spirit with middling morality; its principals were those of the one controlling it, and the Eyes of Tzeentch revealed enough about Megumi to give Enrico cause to be frightened. The teen was like a storm brewing on the horizon; the finer details were lost to him, yet he didn’t need them to know to tread with caution. Yet as it turned out, Pucci needn’t tread at all. In an instant his immediate surroundings were slightly different. He stood now some feet away; still near the spirit yet not in arm’s length as he had been.

The priest looked at Totality, but also at DIO, who stood now where he stood, with the hellhound’s claw at his neck. But DIO tilted his head away from the claw, exposing his neck to it, and of course his arms remained folded. Yet his eyes were focused solely on Megumi, demanding to be met with the sorcerer’s own.

It is ofttimes said that eyes are the window into a soul; his betrayed his outwards persona. They were not charming at all, yet rather ugly, round little things, gold circlets bearing nothing but malice and hate. DIO knew this, yet still he aimed them at Megumi, tearing down the man his followers worshipped and betraying the truth of his nature to the Sorcerer alone. But as he spoke, he did so with that same beguiling voice: ”If you value the life of this creature,” he promised, ”you’ll withdraw it.”

Sheol landed silently away from the tense showdown, Luin hopping off her back. She hurried to the mystery lady’s side at the outskirts (shroobop’s guy), unaware of her allegiance and whispering to her: "What’s going on?”

Meanwhile, at Jayce’s feet, Avdol hurriedly offered up his still bound hands. "You need to get these off me," he beseeched urgently.

Batman was fled from the scene, yet in truth, he was above, waiting for an opportunity. From a balcony above, with darkness enshrouding him, he waited for DIO to make his move.

Situation III

Nobody moved, not quite yet. After seeing how easily he’d handled Lily—one of the strongest two among them—the students kept their breath bated and bodies still, and the soldiers stood back, knowing they had no chance against the Emperor. But as for that man in gold and sapphire at the center of them all…

He deliberated for a brief moment, before giving his response in a slow and measured way, as though the words were returning to home only moments before he spoke them:    "The Children have grown…weak, in my absence. They have fallen from grace, allowing mongrels and starless into their ranks."    His heart-shaped cranium twitched and pulsated as he spoke, the veins running purple and red with a power beyond vril, earned from some reckoning in those thousand years of dark silence. He lifted a hand; pebbles clattered softly down into the plaza, a prelude of what was to come. Lily’s eyes traveled to Ethan to see if he noticed them too, nudging her head upwards. What’s he about to do?    "I’ve come to start over. Wipe the slate clean."    His open palm tightened into a fist, and the rain of pebbles became a hail of debris as the building looming over them collapsed. A crack formed at around the fourth story and the entire top half dropped towards the plaza, inciting pandemonium. It was in this chaos he moved at last, cleaving a winding path of death across the party.

Situation III 2

The Gray Man’s eyes remained ahead, focused only on Cardell, but the teacher looked past the towering statue and at Macta. "Get to the kids," he urged with an uncharacteristic seriousness. "This is my error, and I must atone for it."

Once the third amongst warriors had gone, the two were left alone on an empty street. Eyes watched anxiously from the windows above; the Calamity of Cairo had reached their corner of the city. It was Cardell who spoke first, his grim expression breaking out into a smile, then a laugh; but the Gray Man could tell when he was faking.

"How long’s it been, Arangol?" The Gray Man seemed almost to flinch at the name. Cardell continued. "Three, four hundred years since I let you live?"

"Arangol is dead,"    rumbled the Fomorian.    "At your hands, old master. You let nobody live. I am nameless, placeless in this world. But after today, I reclaim my name. Arangol will live once more."    The words spilled from him, more words than he’d spoken in four-hundred-and-eighty-two years, a practiced speech hissed at last to the target. The Gray Man did not dream or fantasize, but this was the day he’d been waiting for since the death of Arangol.

"That’s a nice speech. You practice that in the mirror every morning?" But Cardell saw through him, as he always did. He saw through the warrior’s powerful façade, the honor he hid behind, and saw the vulnerable creature beneath. He was the only one who could, and for that among a myriad of other reasons, the Gray Man reckoned, he had to die. Cardell sighed and ran a finger through his bright ginger hair. "Alright, old friend. Time for your final lesson." He grinned and angled his right foot back as he bent his left leg, arching forwards with fisticuffs lifted. "Let’s see how much you remember."

The Gray Man silently assumed his own posture; a mix of offense and defense. He said nothing, but gave only the nod for it to begin; in spite of everything the old human needed to die for, he was, ultimately, the only creature on this planet and the worlds beyond for which the Gray Man bore any respect.

Then began their waltz.

Untold Loss

Croque

All limiting systems disabled.
Arts enhancement suite active.
Estimated time until critical failure: 2 minutes.

In an instant, Croque had vanished. When she reappeared, it was right behind Ana, a diamond-shaped crown of black energy floating like a halo over her head.

Reality Anchor Array at maximum stable power. Making field exceptions for allied warping effects.

The mechanical 'wings' upon Croque's back emit heat and a dull grey energy as she forces reality within this area to conform to normality- seeing as how Ana's powers had all seemed to be some form of ability that reality wouldn't accept under stricter conditions, these Anchors, tuned to a broad pattern of signatures that Croque had picked up from analyzing Ana the last time, would hopefully nullify those powers.

...more likely just dampen them, is what Croque expected, no matter how much she told herself that couldn't be possible.

Anything could be possible if one tried.

The spot where Ana was currently existing burst into a pillar of flame and dark crystal as Croque pushed the Arts she had replicated to their limits. While this shell may very well burn itself out, it just might buy some time until her bigger plan could finish.

Central Core Notification: Deity-level energy has been gathered. Initial scans prove original theory- all power that is godlike in origin can be broken down into its purist form. This 'pure' deitic energy is the same across all forms.
Energy decompression and reassembly will take time. Estimated time to conclusion: 3 minutes.

"It'll take less time than it took to get here for me to end you."

One could hear the barely-restrained hate in Croque's voice, despite her face and emotions having been completely monotone up until this point.

"Unlike last time, I know some of what you can do now... And i'd be damned if I didn't try and capitalize on it."

At the same time, dozens of other Croque shells spark into existence, leaping through portals- though some make a point to avoid them and just rocket themselves directly towards the Eraser. She's sparing no expense this time.

??? - Approaching Finality

In the void between dimensions, a shooting star shines. Upon it ride two souls of a land ravaged by beings far beyond mere armies.

Neither seem quite confident that they'll make this trip unscathed, but they have to try.

"How far does this infinite void stretch, anyhow?"

"..."

"You just answered your own question, Sol."

"-no I didn't, Lun... If it was truly infinite, we could never travel to other worlds through it. So it's probably just really big."

"...probably. Can you push this star any faster? The last time we went through here..."

Both souls are silent for a moment. The memory of static still rings clearly in both their minds. Hopefully, that remains a memory. Besides... both of them have grown from that moment. Were something like that to occur again, they could fight it better.

"I could, but it might tire me out too much and we wouldn't reach our destination at all."

"...fair enough. Not like being stuck here would harm either of us, but it wouldn't be pleasant."

The star continues on.

Lighting the infinite void as it travels.

Approaching a destination that can never be reached and yet is somehow always right there.

The Angel Descends

The cannon's whirr is intensifying to a shrill shriek. Energy crackles along the barrel, and the air around the Stalwart Steel seems to whip up as gravity itself is messed with. It nearly seems ready to fire.

"Give me a clear firing line, and I'll give this all I've got!"

Lune's comms are tinted with static from the sheer amount of energy built up into that cannon. She can't let it charge for too much longer...

Apocalypse Rail - 3/4

...it also looks like some debris got caught up in the Generation System's warp. That doesn't seem like it should happen, but the Arena has done stranger things.

Though the only 'debris' looks like a rusted-out shell of a mech- there's a very faint energy signature coming from it... Though it doesn't seem to match up with anything a Gundam would use. Rather, it pulsates- fluctuating as if alive, if only barely.

Those with a broader spectrum of knowledge of mecha may be able to discern it as an Armored Core (or AC)- if any attention is given to it at all. The rusted-over armor and broken frame make it hard to pick out from the cliffside it's sitting against.

Mahke Etstop - Situation II

Mahke is still too paralyzed by fear to respond to everything that's happening around her. If she were to make a false move, it's curtains for her. Dying isn't on her agenda at all.

For now, she watches DIO act so cool.

Commander Yammark, Ataru, and Morph Moth - Pokemas

All three watch the tournament play out in front of their eyes. They gasp in awe and confusion at certain points. They may be novices, but the spectacle is certainly amazing, isn't it?

THE CAIRO TRAGEDY

Part I

Argh... Stupid... idiotic... Thorn had known the Arena was an unusual world and that there were much more than just other Force users to contend with here. She knew this. She'd been briefed of this, even Ranus knew this. Yet when Annie, who had blatantly regenerated her arms, had turned into a giant to catapult her at Abeloth, Thorn's roar of defiant rage was one as much as it was a strong yelp of indignant surprise at being tossed like a ragdoll.

Yet it had worked, didn't it? Thorn's back laid on the ground, her lightsaber by her hand, lungs and throat on fire, her brain feeling like it was devolving into primordial ooze melting out of her nose and ears (thankfully it was merely blood, as she realized when she moved, with difficulty, a gloved finger to her nose), her heart was finally making its way out of her ribcage, pounding away at the bone like an hammer, and both her legs and arms would not move within centuries if given that much rest. Her chest rose up and down at a pace that'd make one worried she'd been infected by a Xenomorph.

Her limbs protested strongly when she gave them only a minute or two of reprieve before moving back, at first turning on her stomach, sticky hair matted to her forehead and also splayed on the ground in front of her. Rumbling, Thorn moved a shaky hand to the ruined ground and, despite its begging her not to, began to lift her body mass upwards on it. For once, she regretted that her lightsaber was no solid blade to rely on, but she used her knee to bolster her support, giving her arm light reprieve, even as the bones in her left leg all but metaphorically snapped under the pressure.

Her ears were likewise assaulted, as the large warrior laughed in joy at the victory she (and annie) had earned for them. Thorn closed her eyes and, with a final push, moved herself to her feet, back arched forwards a little, moving her left arm to rest it on a bunch of debris, allowing herself to stay on her feet. I DID IT! I DID IT! we... Thorn grimaced, having hoped to catch everyone's attention, she points at Annie. We are the ones who chased away the Mother...

Thorn grimaced and lowered her head, giggling a little as a mad grin crept on her features. She shook her head, blood and sweat dripping and dropping off her face as Thorn shook her head.

We've... cut off the strings of a puppet... None of us have armed so much as one of the fingers manipulating it... When it will come down next... It will be as a crashing fist. Thorn says, clenching her gloved hand, as if she thought the others couldn't visualize it otherhand, before leaning on her debris, out of breath, out of spite (literally), any feeling of having won dashed as soon as she stabbed her lightsaber into the mother.

... It wasn't like any of them would believe her back at home if she escaped alive and sane.

Part 3

No one could be possibly fast enough to outpace Totality by so much that it wouldn't slice Pucci's carotid open, or even sever his entire head off his torso clean. And if DIO was fast enough for that, Megumi was doomed to start with. But right now, Pucci was right - though it might weight on him, especially to attack a man whom he was technically defending earlier, Megumi would kill Pucci or just badly wound him if he saw it needed.

In fact, the latter option seemed to be the best so far. It'd force DIO to actively heal him and seek out treatment instead of having no more guardrails or defense to raise against him, with the vampire otherwise being free to take brutal revenge should Pucci die. For all Megumi knew, he could heal grievious wounds in a second flat, but as far as he knew, he couldn't.

Yes, this was the plan. Now to communicate it to Luin and get the others ou

THE WORLD

t of here before DIO could

Could...

Megumi's eyes widened in fear and surprise, sweat dripping off his handsome face as he looked to see Pucci safely out of his Totality's claws... with DIO having replaced him in the meantime, nonchalantly leaning closer to the claws that could tears through Curses tougher than Special Grade, curses that the mightiest military armament might be able to handle to start with, without the laws of Cursed Energy.

But even without that knowledge, it was a sharp blade that DIO was leaning against, a wolf's claw. The arrogance on display would be met with cold disdain by Megumi, and yet, seeing it, he froze for a moment. How? How could he even be so fast? By the time Megumi's body moved, it had felt like an eternity had passed.

TEAR HIS THROAT APART TOTALITY!

Yet Totality was no more.

Fushiguro Megumi had elected to unsummon his Shikigami about as soon as DIO had commanded it. As if he was one of the vampires's underlings.

None of them were ready for him. Even if they all collectively decided to kill him, they'd fail. Megumi's spirit, whom he thought had been hardened by his battles against the Shockspines or the Poachers or Gor-Rok collapsed completly. And he was almost horrified to see his fists move into a familiar position, Cursed Energy building off him visibly, creeping into the ground and people's bodies in a way that would give them shivers, if they were not careful to avoid the strands of it.

His fists were held together, one above the other, one leg tilted forward slightly, sweat going down his face like a waterfall. He, who thought himself better than that, had once again given up and was resorting to the forbidden option.

Luin! Grab anyone you can and fly! Just go! As far away as you can! I'll catch up later

The Archivist

The Good Hunter rushes for Lane 5's Beta Dark Samus while the Lennas clash with Lane 1's. Sylux stays on guard, observing to see where to best jump in.

Collector Samus' shots hit the Lane 3 Beta Dark Samus, and while it definitely deals damage, it looks less than amused and tries to charge at her to ram her and send her flying against the wall/closed door behind her.

Sylux decides to jump in here, going Lockjaw and bashing into Beta Dark Samus (regardless of whether she reaches Collector Samus or not), leaving behind an explosive that'll go off moments after.

Lane 5's Beta Dark Samus brings out her arm cannon, taking aim at the Good Hunter before she begins to fire explosive energy blasts, leaving her vulnerable to a potential counterattack from Collector Samus.

Lane 1's Beta Dark Samus gets stabbed by the pair of swords, severing both of her arms. Furious, Beta Dark Samus balls up and lays a Power Bomb-

(╬≖_≖)

"No."

For just that moment, P03's face appeared over the Archivist's, and with that single-word statement the Power Bomb disappears. Lane 1's Beta Dark Samus falls.

A new one spawns in right away though. Seems like this is going to be a minion zerg rush until either the group falls or they deal enough damage.

As per the rules though, the death of that Beta Dark Samus means the Archivist takes 2 damage.

"Actually, hold on."

"What's the use in repeating them? How stagnant."

"Life and death are all about change."

"So I say we should unearth something new."

Another scan goes over the room, and the Archivist tilts her head... monitor.

"What's this?"

"You girls..."

"I found something that's both real and glitch?"

"I simply must dig in. You don't mind, I hope."

The Lane 1 Beta Dark Samus vanishes now, something else being summoned in her stead.

Some kind of glitching, nigh incomprehensible creature.

"I couldn't find a fitting counterpart, but its glitches had such... presence..."

"It allowed me to give you the real deal."

"What a fun reunion, wouldn't you say?"

Sylux just pauses and stares at the archangel for a moment before looking at Lenna. They say nothing but it's clear what they're thinking.

Cairo

Situation II

Jayce shudders at DIO's voice, taking a defensive stance before her head snaps down at Avdol.

"-uh, I don't have a knife or anything..."

-y'wanna know who DOES have a knife?

A bolt of electricity leaps from the treeline, manifesting into a young woman.

"Wh- Ali?! When did you get here?!"

"Not important right now. What is important is the fact that we're kinda taking on someone out of your league."

"...don't you mean out of our league?"

"-pfft, no. I could totally take these guys on and win. Probably."

Alison grabs an unnaturally smooth metal knife from somewhere in her jacket, before looking at the wire for a moment and shifting her grip ever-so-slightly. The knife morphs and forms into an axe, and she hefts it up.

"Don't flinch."

With a power that seemed to betray her rather lean form, she brings the axe crashing down onto the wire, cutting it cleanly...

...and also making a bit of a cut in the floor. She has to tug on the axe a few times before it frees itself from the ground.

With that, the axe turns back into a knife and she stows it again, turning her glance to DIO.

"...right. This guy."

"What do you mean 'this guy'??"

Alison looked back for a split second.

"...you should run, Jayce."

The sheer seriousness with which Alison said those words seemed to bring a look of terror onto the younger girl's face, and she got a running start before suddenly teleporting away in a crackle of light.

Alison sighs, shaking her head.

"I swear, she always manages to get into situations way over her head..."

Electricity seems to arc around Alison for a moment. Outwardly, she looks focused... but internally? One thing nags at her.

...my mana's almost out. I could probably manage a couple of spells at most before I have to either take a potion or figure out something else...

Holding her hand out and down, electricity crackles across her arm until it manifests into a hammer.

...it looks like Mjolnir (the MCU version), because that's what she decided to work towards making it manifest as. She'd been working on perfecting that spell over the course of a good few months, and while it certainly couldn't make her fly (or hit with the same force), it certainly still held enough electricity within itself to be a good emulation.

"...I get the feeling this is gonna suck, but fuck it, we're doing this anyway."

Situation III

Ethan moved just as quickly, titanic roots shooting upwards to catch falling debris as he moved to clash with Yakub.

"So you feel you have the right to wipe them out? To end an entire group of people simply because they failed to live up to the expectations of one who has been absent for a thousand years??"

Despite his words, Ethan noted he didn't feel... anger. Not as he would have once before. No. He was doing this because these were his people, even if they rallied under a different cause. They worked to preserve the light of this world. To keep the natural order one of triumph over heartless evils.

For this, he shaped his ideal.

And as such, it was given form from his power.

Plants began to sprout from the floors, the walls- turning what was once a building into an extension of Ethan's natural domain. (no, not the JJK one.)

"Yggdrasil was right to warn me of you in her final moments. You're nothing but a tyrant, only allowing the world to progress as you think it should, even if nobody else agrees. Almost like a child throwing a tantrum when things don't go their way..."

...oh, so Yggdrasil's snark did bleed over into Ethan a bit. Good.

Claws slashed out at Yakub, constantly aiming to dig in, for the blades made of impossibly strong wood to dig in- this was not a fight that Ethan knew would be finished in a single blow. Rather, it would be one determined by who could remain standing longer.

Situation III - Macta

Macta landed in the courtyard, which was still encompassed by the scarlet smog that had rendered those unfortunate enough to be within it little more than a disjointed mess of flesh.

Yet some runes upon her cloak shone softly, driving it away ever-so-slightly. The protective charms she had made, and her connection to her liege, kept her from instantly being affected by the full force.

And also because her instantly exploding into gore would be unfun.

"This haze... did it do all this..? I doubt it would be safe to make a path inside until I deal with whatever's causing it..."

The Good Hunter

try to approach their foe slowly to bait an attack. This seemingly doesn't work, so unless the clone attack, the Good Hunter will attack with a sweeping sweep of their scythe, which will cause them to swing rightwards on their axis, hands holding unto the pole of the scythe.

They'll then attempt to poke/blunt-stab the Dark Samus Clone with the hand of the pole before using the backwards movement to gain SOME momentum as they then bring their massive scythe down upon their head, attempting to cleave through their head and into the body with full intent to have the head be smashed with the scythe bit sticking out of their torso.

Filthy Corpse World

Broken Showdown - Lenna's Inception

"Wait... Crabaddon?!" Lenna exclaims.

"HOW in the everloving FUCK is that thing a crab?!"    Collector Samus exclaims back at her, getting rammed into a wall by Lane 3's Beta Dark Samus in her distraction.

"This isn't what he normally looks like. It's an alternate form caused by the glitches in our world!"

The thing resembling a skull with a mask orbited by two more demented masks seems to notice Lenna.    "O̸͚̔h̴̼́,̷͎̉ ̵̖̽ḯ̴̘ẗ̸͙'̶̢̓s̷̄ͅ ̸͕͑y̸͍͆o̵̙͗u̵̞͐,̴̣͘ ̶̲͌m̸͓̍o̷͔̕m̶̞̀m̴̗͒ȃ̶̬!̷̟́!"

C. Samus' eyes nearly bug out of their sockets.

Lenna sighs. "Yes, I created him. But my past self is a very different person from who I am now. Anyway, Crabaddon, can you...leave? Surrender? Despawn?"

   "H̵̤͋ȓ̷͙͑r̶̢͙r̴̛̤r̷̢͔r̶̻̗n̵͉gȟ.̷̥͋.."    Crabaddon makes a straining noise. Nothing happens.    "N̷͖͆o̸̭͝p̴̙̔ě̸̠!̷͈͠ ̵͕̒G̵̲̽ó̴͚ṯ̵͗s̶̻̿ ̴̳̌t̷̳̿ą̵̉ ̶̹̄f̴͈̚i̸̯͌g̴̡̎h̷͕͛ṯ̸̈́!̸̝̍"

"..." Lenna sighs again. "Try not to kill him, guys. It took a lot of effort to spare him the first time this happened, and I don't want it going to waste."

The laughing mask orbiting Glitched Crabaddon opens its mouth of human teeth to reveal an eyeball inside (very Phantoon, huh?), firing two teardrop projectiles at Lenna and Shadow Lenna. The former blocks with her shield while the latter spin-jumps over it, neither counterattacking.

Collector Samus is still too baffled to do anything about the Beta Dark Samus in Lane 3.

The Archivist

"Does it matter? Everyone who dies in a boss fight comes back afterwards.", Sylux notes.

"Only the winning side." , the Archivist points out, prompting Sylux to pause. Well shit, if they kill Crabaddon and win he won't come back.

Now, from a moral standpoint this doesn't matter to Sylux one bit. But they've seen Lenna and Shadow Lenna fight, and they'd be a pain to deal with if they turned on the others. Plus, that kid would definitely side with the two of them, and if his claim that he can do anything is actually true...

Sylux groans, then nods. They're just going to try to avoid Crabaddon in general. Thankfully it's attacking the Lennas right now, so Sylux doesn't need to get involved.

Lane 3's Beta Dark Samus tries to charge at Collector Samus, but Sylux figures that they should help out here now, since the Good Hunter seems to have things handled since...

Well, they just combo-strike their Beta Dark Samus before cleaving her in half, making her disappear and deal 2 more damage to the Archivist.

"At least making progress is easy with this one for a change.", Sylux notes as they turn back to normal and latch the Shock Coil onto the Beta Dark Samus to start draining their energy.

Beta Dark Samus responds by promptly smacking Sylux against the head with her arm cannon.

"Another spot is open."

"Let's go another round!"

One more scan, this time pulling from the Good Hunter.

"You've seen quite the monstrosities."

"I believe I've found a match."

"... ah yes. This will work!"

The Archivist then spawns the new holographic creature in front of the Good Hunter and...

Oh sweet lord what the fuck.

The Beta Moon Presence just silently stands there, eerily attempting to reach out to the Good Hunter...

And if it gets to the Good Hunter, it'll suddenly snatch them up and start to viciously beat them against the ground.

GLITCHFIGHT

The Good Hunter, for the first time in perhaps the entire runthrough, freeze in shock as their greatest, mightiest enemy rise from the dead. And they seem so frozen in fear, even shaking, that the Moon Presence can take its sweet time approaching them before brutally grabbing and slamming them, the Hunter helpless in their grasp.

By the time it's done, they're left in a huge pool of their own blood - but their body spring back to life as if unharmed, the Hunter slamming their right hand's knuckles unto the floor as they rise to their feet, a slow giggle escaping from their covered mouth, with the fabric hiding it coming undone...

... To reveal nothing, an empty void beneath their face. Something that still bleeds, but that is, otherwise, nothing but darkness.

They look up to the Archivist as they rise to their feet much quicker.

THANK YOU...

The Good Hunter put their cloth back on, and laugh, their entire body shaking as they jump in to try to slash at the Beta Moon Presence, attempting to cut it to pieces as they did to its completed form.

What a thrill - to face such a great foe again!

Untold Loss

Power strides into the room with the gusto and pride of someone wayyyy stronger than she actually is, leaning her head on the right and cleaning her ear with her little finger to pull out... a sizable amount of ear wax, which she, after a little moment of hesitation, jabs into her nose.

I stuck my head in it right after, so I didn't think you were dead, see? Coz I wouldn't have done it if...

Ana says her name and Power tense up, instantly remaking her bloody warhammer. So that was her, they'd just found her? She didn't look so impressive! And what was that thingy behind her? She was reminded of a very bad thing by the woman. And in fact, her focus immediately swung on her rather than the person.

Like being in a room with a nuclear explosion about to go off but... focusing on someone else instead of what seemed like the most immediate threat. Power found herself sweating intensely, and as she laughed, part of it seemed nervous.

Are ya chewing on used tampon or talkin' to me?! Either way, you're going to be splittin' blood outta yer mouth! Power says, as her allies get going. And immediately, her cool blood powers feel like lame blood powers. Because damn those guys were going off and Power looked at a portal wondering if she could get used to striking from there.

She decide to just run at Ana and see what happens, not getting there yet.

Gundam

Charlie focuses on those enemies closest to him, moving in tandem with his allies to avoid being the sole target, especially from that rather large target. Though with each step, Rustbucket grew closer, Charlie's confidence grew, and the odds seemed less insurmountable. Though all things considered, this bout was going too well.

The kapool units seem rather apt targets for Rustbucket, and the Gundam subsequently shifts directions to rush straight for the High Neuro unit, dislodging a congealed hunk of rock and dirt from the ground beneath Rustbucket's feet along the path and chucking it as a distraction.

Reaching his target, Charlie commands Rustbucket to strike at the Kapool unit with a series of thrusting strikes from his blade arm, keeping a hand free for defense.

Cairo, Situation Uno

"I'll... take the compliment I suppose." Sebastien opts to say to Radahn as the bloodlust dulled. He gave a whistle to Brutus and pulled his reins, making the Flying Wyvern let go of the HUGE MAN and back off. Glimmer finally catches up and climbs up on the Brute as well while Sebastien rubs his forehead, feeling a headache.

Still, he didn't drop his guard even as he gave Thorn a nod to acknowledge her Locking In and saving their butts for the moment.

Situation Dos

Mystery girl suppressed a smirk at Luin approaching her. Instead she feigns herself as another helpless NPC bystander, looking worried.

"I-I don't know! I'm just here to visit some friends then heard all the commotion." she said, nervously fidgeting with her hands as if fearing for her life.

In reality she has full confidence that Lord DIO is about to destroy that brat.

Irish's post that never was

As it finished ripping apart the Pluma underfoot, VALFALK lifted a mechanized head to the heavens and shrieked. Cobson took the reigns just long enough to find their next target before turning the hound loose: Kapool 2, furthest left of the newly arrived trio. The monster-mech’s wingtips crackled, then burst with energy, VALFALK a scarlet streak beelining in an instant towards its designated prey.

The gundam(?) stopped just short of the mech, suspended in mid-air for just a moment as its wings swiveled around to point at the Kapool; and from them fired off another blast of draconic energy.

The Angel Descends

The Pluma facing Xeku Dad Guy weaves between his shots, opening the gun port to fire its railgun only for Louise's ReZEL to zoom in from above and stab down at it with its rather long Hyper Beam Saber, melting a hole through it before it explodes. Her mobile suit gives his a thumbs up.

Pluma 13 pounces at Julietta's Reginlaze, who blocks with her Twin Piles before dashing around towards its back; once again launching her weapon's bindings out to restrain the drone before opting to finish it herself by jumping up and landing hard on top. It crumples between the combined pressure of her weight and the metal bindings.

Code Amelias is caught off guard by the unwitting Pluma Projectile, enabling the Clay Bazooka to hit her and slow her down. The Feathers retract before Yammark can try and slice them with her beam saber as the mobile suit uses the Pluma as a shield against the missile barrage, leaving it destroyed. Pluma 15 just barely manages to avoid it and backs off.

"BURNING FLARE!"    Code Amelias calls out as the Halphas Böse transforms into its flight mode and bursts into flame, melting off the sticky substance and aiming to ram right into Charlian!.

Smol Amelias for her part backs away, trying to collect herself but finding herself a bit shaken by seeing the literal embodiment of her past self's sins right in front of her.

Kapool 2 gets blasted and knocked back, stumbling before aiming one of its wrist machine cannons at Cobson and opening fire, trying to shred him with with triple barrel fire. The High Neuro leader smashes the chunk that Rustbucket tossed at it with its Iron Nail claws, using them to then block its blade arm strikes as it steps back; knowing its inferior mass would mean facetanking is a bad idea.

Seems that one is smarter and the leader as Kapool 1 sandbacgs and gets a hole melted into its side as it attempts to dodge Morph Moth's attack, firing back with a missile barrage.

It then gets crushed underneath the Hashmal's heel as it speeds ahead, beam cannon at the ready. Pluma 14 attempts to pounce on Morph Moth's Jesta to pin her down before engaging its tail drill to try and well, drill through her.

The Hashmal roars as its beam cannon fires again at a noticeably higher output, the Graze Schild once again tanking it for Lune. It keeps it up for a longer time as well and by the end the shield is glowing red with heat and looking even more partially melted.

"DON'T THINK IT CAN HOLD AGAIN." the Schild pilot informs the others.

The Hashmal also produces two more Plumas, one of which attacks Yammark with a railgun shot.

"I can try to limit its mobility but someone has to keep its attention." Julietta suggests to the others. The nameless grunts of course do not volunteer. She then grunts as she has to quickly avoid being skewered by the Hashmal's prehensile tail's blade.

Primary Objective: Prevent Mobile Armor Hashmal from escaping the valley

Bonus Objective: Amelias destroys Gundam Halphas Böse

Allies:

Amelias - Phoenix Gundam: Attack/Sniper

Zinin Team - ReZEL Type C Defenser a-Unit (reequipped with physical rifle): Attack/Artillery.

Earth Federation - Dark Dagger L team: Attack.

Gjallahorn - Graze Team: Attack/Defender (Schild).

Julietta - Reginlaze Custom: Attack/Bruiser.

Morph Moth and Commander Yammark - Lourent

Morph Moth's Jesta nimbly dodges the missile barrage, but it gets pinned down by Plume 14. Not one to die so easily, Morph Moth attempts to block the tail drill strike with the Jesta's shield before trying to give the mook a taste of shield missiles.

Morph Moth exclaims, "S-suck on this...!"

At the same time, Commander Yammark's Jesta boosts out of the railgun shot with ease. She pulls out the Jesta's shield and fires a pair of missiles at Pluma 17.

He swung more lowly now through the park, zipping under the canopy and making several close calls with the ground, branches, and trees—yet never actually colliding of course, because duh, he’s spider-man!—before stopping at last by a sizable pond, alone in the recreational estate and well out of sight of any trails or people-ridden pathways. "So what, we just wait for this guy to show up?"

"We’ll find him at his club," he answered, pressing a finger into his gauntlet. "The Iceberg Lounge. I need you to infiltrate it, get close to him so we can learn what he knows. You’ll have support: I have access to their cameras, studied the habits of the guards on duty tonight. I’ll be your eyes and ears in there."

To the empty street curb pulled into halt a limousine, the doors sliding open on their own to reveal a lush and opulent interior. "First impressions are important. Charlian gritted his teeth as Code Amelias burned off the sticky substance and transformed into flight mode, while he observed as much of the battlefield as he could all at once, making his mind race as he desperately cobbled together a plan. The Xeku, ReZELs, the red machine, and the Rustbucket are battling minor enemies, while Julia closed in on the mechanical angel. The other Graze units showed no signs of entering the fray, while Lune's Stalwart Steel is almost finished with charging its rail.

Thus, what he must do becomes clear.

Using his powerful physical prowess and reaction speed, Charlian revved up Razangriff Raven's boosters in preparation for a quick ascension and raised its shield while flipping open every single firing switch for its innate armaments.

"Listen closely, Julieta Juris!"

is all he managed to get out on ally-only comms as a part of a message that's supposed to reach all current combatants before Halphas Bose transforming into a profane phoenix and charged right at him at a frightening speed.

"I will fire all my-"

As Code Amelias closed in on him, he boosted himself upward, backward, and slightly to his right in order to force the blue and purple gundam to change its trajectory somewhat, which would theoretically less the damage he takes.

Unfortunately, due to him having never taken this attack before, he failed to ascend fast enough to force her into a large enough trajectory change. Halphas Bose still managed to slam right into him... but the Replicator considered that too.

"-all my weapons towards Hashmal, so the rail cannon can land a clean hit."

Razangriff Raven ascending towards its right side allowed it to block Burning Flare with its shield before sliding out of the charge trajectory, protecting its main body at the cost of its shield and its entire left arm, leaving it with no protection aside from its tough armor.

"Everyone keep your distance and clear out of Hashmal's way. Julieta, immobilize Hashmal after the rail cannon fires!"

Charlian then waited precisely 1 second and proceeded to unload every single available heavy ordnance at Hashmal one after the other.

Razangriff Raven's "eyes" pulsated with green light as its radars and crosshairs focused on the mechanical angel, right before it fired the Heavy Linear Rifle from midair to try and keep the Mobile Armor in the same position. With a quick press of a button, Charlian let two large Anti-Ship Missiles pop off from the flight pack, before they boosted themselves towards Hashmal at a dangerous speed.

As if that's not enough, Razangriff Raven then launched two Matrix Missile canisters while its Heavy Linear Rifle reloaded, with each canister popping open to launch a barrage of small missiles, all the while its Twin Solid Cannons flipped into firing position and unleashed a quick barrage of 4 powerful solid artillery rounds at the Mobile Armor, and only then does it turn towards Halphas Bose to see where it is.

The intent of Charlian's attack is to unleash everything Razangriff Raven has to offer before Code Amelias can take him down, as reloading these weapons will take time that he likely won't have once Code Amelias rounds up on him again. While his machine's armor is tough and can reduce some damage from beams, they won't be able to stop her from disrupting his attack, so it's best that he disrupts Hashmal as soon as possible.

As this is a combo created in a desperate situation that involved raining down countless heavy solid rounds and explosive weaponries, the Replicator decided to dub it-

"Critical Ordnance Shower."

THE ANGEL DESCENDS

The Xeku pilot isn't surprised to see the Pluma weaving through bullets. By now, he'd realized those things were droids, and droids were and could be slippery little fuckers when they wanted to. The mech moves his right hand, as if preparing to smack it away with the rocket launcher if needed. But his likely doomed attempt to intercept his target that way soon become useless, thanks to Louise coming in from above and stabbing it, like a wrathful angel from the heavens.

And as she does a thumb-up, so does the Xeku!

Nice one! You took quite a stab at it, heh?

He turns to his right, seeing that their side of the battlefield was cleared but that the big kriff had moved up in the middle, with Julieta, the woman who'd talked to him when he first entered, confronting it... but apparently needing some help to pin it down! Which made him think a bit about how to meaningfully contribute further - he doubted his rocket launcher and 120mm could really take down that thing.

But distract it? Oh, they could. And he had an idea as he jumped down the cliffside, the pilot's arm moving to grab his smaller copilot as his massive mecha slid down the cliffside, displacing tons of rocks as its titanic steel frame performed a feat of inrobotic grace, climbing down the cliffs to quickly get to ground level, passing by Zinin whom he greeted with a quick salute.

Hey, I've got an idea! I'll distract- Charlian goes apeshit on the Hashmal, which prompt a moment of visible silence from the pilot as he watch it goes loose on the gigantic robot. Wow! And here he thought he'' was heavily armed! He guessed not so much after that, but that didn't mean he was useless to the cause. And because he had an inkling, he raised his massive rifle and began shooting at the Hashmal as well, seeking to provide firepower while he could.

Spunky lady with the whips! You pin it down and I'll fire my clay Bazooka at its face! It won't be able to open up its weird mouth thing to fire that beam of his if the parts are stuck, right? And the energy that could burn off the clay would be sealed within the metal, perhaps locking away the Railgun until it could get the clay off. Which would, at least, buy the others time.

And he felt that they needed just a little bit more of it anyway - that railgun looked mightily destructive. And though he'd gotten lower, it was only because he didn't want to miss that shot after confidently announcing his plan and missing it. Could you imagine how dumb he'd look?! Either way, the Xeku keep firing, keeping a steady distance, using his thruster on the right slightly more as he headed towards his foe.

And then, should Julieta pin it down, the Xeku put its gun aside on its back and reach for one of the cylinders on its shoulders, grabbing a big white ball and slamming it down his bazooka (dark souls 1 male character moan) before aiming for the Hashmal's face. Ever heard of feet of clay?! Try a faceful of it! He yells defiantly, firing his projectile right at the Hashmal's face while doing his boast. Because it'd be dumb to spoil his plan.

That done, regardless of success or not, he start backing off, not wanting to be charred metal after the Railgun is through.

N and Uzi

N ponders deeply on what Spidey said. And Uzi too, but for different reasons. Cheese is a dairy product, Uzi! It's very commonly consumed by humans and come in many varieties depending on factors such as heat and time!

Oh yeah, you guys need to eat and drink to stay alive! Ha! Uzi gloats, perfectly aware so did she, but with oil. Or electricity. But you never saw her like chomp down on a cable or somethin', right?!

If so, perhaps Cheese-Man was consumed by your fellows to provide them with the nutriments they need to keep going! N cheerily proposes to Spidey, both landing alongside him and looking down at Center Park, where nothing happens. Both seem taken aback, but Uzi less so, turning over to Spidey.

He just come down from the sky screaming or sneak up on us. Would be useful if you kinda had like, a super sense to see that coming ahead of time but you stupid humans don't have one! She huffs. 'Coz in our world you guys blew yourselves and your planet up summoning a god or something. Also you guys had climate change but I don't know what a climate is or what it was changing into but it was bad''. She glances at N, expecting him to answer, but he's off, kneeling in front of a patch of flowers.

Uzi herself blink and approach him, head tilted to the right. In their cold, dilapidated world, healthy flowers like that were... rare. And as such, both Drones stared at them perplexed.

The Good Hunter clashes with the Beta Moon Presence, who gets hacked into but doesn't perish from it quite yet. Before it can go for a counterattack though...

Collector Samus destroys the Lane 3 Beta Dark Samus, the scales now fully tipping.

Before, of course, going back to a neutral 5 - 5. Phase 2 time.

Unlike with the previous bosses though, the Archivist's field doesn't clear. Crabaddon and the Beta Moon Presence are still on the field. They're just in a forced static state for a moment, unable to move or be harmed.

"I have been scanning the archives..."

"There is a file that seems particularly - shall we say - unsavory."

"If it dies, you lose the game, understand?"

The grave tiles are removed from the board, freeing up lanes 2 and 4. Crabaddon and the Beta Moon Presence are able to move again, and they both glow green for a moment as their 'HP' is healed back up. Lanes 2, 3 and 4 light up for a moment before suddenly Phantoon is summoned there.

Lenna and Shadow Lenna will suddenly be pushed out of Lane 5 by force and onto Lane 4. On the group's lane 5 a hologram of a card suddenly appears called UNSAFE.DAT.

However, instead of the card having the image of a generic data file with a gun to its head, it has Star Boy (still in small star form) inside. And given the fact that he looks genuinely confused, it seems to be the real deal.

He's trying to say something, but no sound travels through the holographic boundaries. The group can't hear him, and he may not be able to hear them either.

This just went from being the most manageable boss so far to being easily the most risky one. Star Boy can't help them, the Archivist's field is full, and if UNSAFE.DAT is hit at all it'll be destroyed and they'll lose.

And it doesn't help that Phantoon immediately eyes UNSAFE.DAT, mainly because the kid it'd been fighting is in there so it of course considers the card an enemy even if it probably doesn't fully realize what's going on right now.

"Oh SHIT! We have to protect that card!", Sylux says. They look at Lenna.

"Hey, you! Can't you use your glitch powers to do something about this!?"

The battle resumes. Phantoon suddenly goes intangible, making it impossible for him to be perceived (save for by the Good Hunter's insight). Naturally the group will likely assume that he just stays in place because it's the only space he has on the board.

But Phantoon doesn't play by P03's rules. If they attack Lanes 2, 3 or 4, expecting to potentially hit Phantoon regardless, their attacks will just go through and hit the wall, not dealing any scales damage due to the battle rules.

Phantoon immediately starts sending will-o-wisps towards UNSAFE.DAT, with those attacks being just as invisible as Phantoon is. The Beta Moon Presence couldn't care less about that card though, instead focusing on the Good Hunter. It floats up a bit, then attempts to full-on crash into the Good Hunter with zero hesitation.

The Good Hunter

regains some good health from all the hacking and slashing but not so much that the brutal pounding is healed away. Still, with the battlefield reorganized, they eye their foe's monstrous tentacles : they weren't there before. But it made little of a difference. A Great One had no physical shape to answer to. And if anything, the Blood Hunter enjoyed the occasion that'd come with severing those tentacles.

They licked their non-existent lips, but kept their focus on their enemy, only to notice Phantoon coming back and a case of... Gaben team-switching hitting their side. Things would perhaps be mildly bad if Star Boy died, and the Good Hunter liked them, which was reason enough, even if there were no penalties, for the latter to be spared.

So as the Moon Presence bears down upon them, the Good Hunter responds to this attack by diving forward, behind it. And they accelerate further to try to bodyshield UNSAFE.DAT. This will punch five bloody holes in their body, but they retaliate by pulling out the same squid from before, the one that they'd used to fend off the giants.

Then, in a move that could turn against them, they try to unleash a Call Beyond, crushing the galaxy and causing a miniature star to burst over their head, unleashing a great many projectiles. This is an attempt to exploit BMP's greater bulk over its finished, deadly-thin counterpart : more projectiles are bount to hit it that way, and it'll fend off the others, allowing Lennas and Samus to get themselves ready.

Because once they're done, the Good Hunter kneels, briefly out of it, not helpless but unable to attack... but not unable to raise their hand towards Phantoon to warn others of its presence.
