Venom flashes a grin at Eddie before patting him on the head with a tendril.
"Now, now, Eddie, you know she didn't mean that. She was just a little embarrassed, that's all."
Eddie blows out a sigh.
"Like I said, she's not my kid."
"Denial isn't just a river in Egypt. What part of 'our little girl' aren't you understanding here?"
Not bothering to answer that question, Eddie glances at Freddy and nods to him before accepting his day pass.
"Hey, buddy, don't worry about what happened just now, alright?"
After heading into the Pizzaplex, he lets out a low whistle.
"Well, I'll be damned. It looks just like Pietro said it did."
"Speaking of which, if his family's here, you think he'll finally introduce us to his nephews?"
"I don't know, do you want those boys to have nightmares?"
"That's crap and you know it. They're probably just dying to meet a cool alien!"
After Eddie makes his way towards Fazer Blast, he greets Emma with a slight smile.
"Hey, uh, sorry about what happened outside. You mind if I join this game? I figure it's the least I can do."
"How many guns do you think I should hold, Eddie? We could win this singlehandedly!"
"Since I don't wanna get thrown out for cheating, none."
"...Party pooper," Venom mutters before retreating back into Eddie.
Ben watches as Terra and Aqua finally reunite with Ventus after the Force only knew how long, smiling with approval.
"It's a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one," he says, approaching the Keyblade wielders.

Velika's eyes follow the spider deftly. He suddenly holds one of his Power Carver weapons over his shoulder, though the spider wouldn't have to worry because he's holding it with the hollow side inwards, meaning all it accomplishes is covering the spider. The mere fact that Velika sees a need to hide the spider from the view of the others probably already answers its question.
Plus, holding it over the spider like that will muffle its voice even more, decreasing the chances of it being overheard even further. Velika does look kinda weird walking around like that, but a lot of the Matoran already thought he was weird anyway. They only rallied behind him so much recently due to him having nudged them into the direction of guessing what their premonitions were about.
"What a foul word, 'scheming'. Like smoldering magma, unpleasant in tone and odor."
Can the other Matoran really be blamed for thinking he's weird when he says stuff like that as a response?
Velika walks through the entrance/exit of the Coliseum. There are others walking near him too, so he keeps his voice low.
"I hope your function differs from smoldering magma. The Vahki would not be appreciative otherwise."
Basically telling the spider that if it's here to get in the way, Velika would not hesitate to reveal him without hesitation.

"You're sixteen!?" , Monty asks, agasp. Which earns him a shove from Chica.
When it's clear why she looks so young, Chica shoves him again. Normally that'd piss Monty right off, but right now he gets it.
When Cassie and Gregory run off towards Roxy Racers, the title character herself follows suit.
"This I have to see. The winner of you two gets to go up against the very best, which is me!" , she eagerly says.
Eddie's comment received silent appreciation from Freddy. He would then follow Eddie and Emma to Fazerblast, mainly to explain the game to them if they need it.
Chica, Monty and Bonnie would go on their merry way too. In their case, they plan to check up on Mr. Hippo and see if everything is still going well with the place.
That leaves Mike with Charlie... the latter of which letting him know she's going after Grape. Okay, so now he's fully alone.
...
Might as well explore the place and see what Fazbear Entertainment managed to build up despite their shady and damaged reputation.
-
A Map Bot rolls past Gregory, Cassie and Roxy as they're on their way to the elevator leading to the Atrium (which they need to go through to reach Roxy Raceway). It turns to them, clearly about to offer them a map, but...
...
It somewhat hesitates after taking a better look at Cassie. For a moment, it-
Some sparks come out of its head, after which it turns away and approaches some nearby guests.
"Please, take this map. Take a map. Take a map."
—
Grape, currently walking through Rockstar Row, doesn't immediately notice that Charlie came after him. He has his hands in his pockets and seems somewhat downcast as he glances around.
"Didn't think I'd ever set foot in this place again...", he mumbles. "Last time I was here..."
He doesn't like to recall this moment, but he's unable to stop his mind from wandering back to it.
-
"Gregory! How could you hurt my friends!?"
"They tried to kill me!"
"You lied to me!"
"I defended myself!"
Glamrock Freddy sighs.
"I knew I shouldn't have believed you. I fell for a lie. And there is no bunny lady- it's just your excuse to stay here."
The otherwise supportive and gentle animatronic bear, for just a moment, shows a frustrated glare.
"I'm so disappointed in you."
The boy, who was about to try to defend his actions of scrapping the other Glamrocks further, freezes right in his tracks upon hearing those words again. Those words, coming from him, they hit him so much harder than he'd ever dare to admit.
Freddy, not immediately noticing this shift, continues to admonish the boy who had hurt his friends.
"I decided to take pity on you, but I should have handed you over to Officer Vanessa right away. But I felt sorry for you."
The boy could feel from the start that something was up with her, even though he'd only just woken up from a deep sleep before he'd tried to run from her and hide in Freddy. But of course Freddy wouldn't believe that Vanessa is suspicious anymore.
A small bit of anger flares up in the boy though.
"I don't need your pity!"
One more sigh.
"Why couldn't I get a cute and well-mannered kid to watch over?"
"Why didn't I get a good kid?"
Freddy hears something hit the ground. He looks over and-
Oh...
Freddy visibly pauses in shock as he sees the look on the boy's face. He realizes what he's done. On the ground lies a broken Faz-Watch, and tears are rolling down his face. And that expression of hurt... that's not just the expression of someone who feels they've disappointed someone they looked up to.
It's the look of someone who's heard those words before.
He only now understands what an awful thing he's done. But he's so in shock that he cannot immediately speak again. And the boy, before Freddy can do anything, turns and runs.
"I don't need your help OR your pity! Go have fun with all the kids who are better than me!", he screams as he runs. He's out of sight by the time Freddy manages to properly function again.
If Freddy calls out to the boy, if he tries to catch up to him, the boy wouldn't hear it. Because as he's running, before he even has a moment to let his emotions settle...
A pair of hands grabs him from behind a split in the hallway.
Hands covered in white fabric and fur.
...
Next time Gregory would wake up, his body no longer belonged to him alone.
-
If Charlie is walking/floating in any position that'll let her see Grape's face, she should notice the angry tears that are forming in his eyes. And when the boy finds a discarded Freddy drink cup on the ground near Freddy's green room (and when he thinks nobody else is around to see him), Grape kicks the cup at the window of the green room.
... of course, this doesn't do anything but dirty the window a little.
"I don't need his help or his pity.", he reaffirms to himself. Even if he's not the same Freddy, they're robots. His reaction should be the same. It would be the same. Either this other Gregory who's been with Charlie and co longer either didn't damage the other Glamrocks this much, or he didn't tell Freddy that he did, because clearly if he did scrap them Freddy would have turned on him too.
"That's right. We don't need anyone but each other.", Glitchtrap affirms to him in his mind. In his vulnerable moment, Grape doesn't respond with any sass or brash rejection, simply nodding once as he walks.
As horrible and annoying as Glitchtrap is, he'll always have Grape's back. Because both of them are stuck with each other, and they don't have the option to betray one another.

In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.AIS
After the trio was done with the dummies, they went to the upper level, to try their flying equipment.
Simón flies around the pillars, practicing his maneuvers, and Luna tests if her thrusts on her skates gives her the ability to fly.
Nina, since she has a bit of vertigo, stays on the stead platform.
Three freaking ghosts!I think of the dead all the time.
The girl laughed and tore across the level sands. She heard him behind her, her brother shouting her name, trying to catch up and catch her so they’d be back in time for dinner. She found a bush and dove into it. Her heart thrummed as she stifled a giggle and tried to keep entirely still. Her brother let her have her fun, pretending not to see her as he stood over the bush for a full dozen seconds before finally looking through the bramble and directly at her. He smiled. He always called her Little Quicklegs. That was the last thing he ever said.
I think of the people I lost.
She snuck into the stables at night, carrying a bucket of kibble with her. "Hey, Tailwind." The girl grinned, setting the food down in front of the Pukei Pukei. The bird wyvern buried his face in the feed as she backed away and chortled. Tailwind grunted, pleased. He was her first mount, and the first to go.
And I wonder why they had to die.
The Bulldrome’s fur was course and short, yet she ran the brush along his hide. The beast, ordinarily furious and brash, was rendered placid by her care. Rush leaned his tusked head into Luin’s chest and she smiled. His corpse had been unrecognizable.
Was it fate? Or was it him?
Luin fastened the final knot and hopped off the stool, pacing backwards. The Barroth stood from his crouch, and the ladder from his newly fashioned saddle unfolded to the ground. She approached again, pulled on the rope some to ensure its stability, and began to climb her largest tame yet. Nothing remained of the saddle but ash.
Would they recognize this person I am now?
Luin stared into the abyss. She placed her hands firmly on her hips and sighed, before clapping her hands together. Two crimson orbs opened amidst the dark forest. The creature within growled and its tail rattled, but Luin frowned and clapped again, harder this time. The Nargacuga gave in. Quill hopped out into the light with a meow, nuzzling against his trainer. Not far behind was Plaguewalker, who would inevitably be Quill’s demise.
Would they have walked this path with me?
Plaguewalker had always been the problem child. But she remembered his good moments fondly. She never blamed him. He didn’t understand what he was doing, why she had to do what she did. That was the first and only time she’d ever turned her swords on her own allies. She promised she’d never fail them again.
Or would they have left?
Some promises could never be kept. Landslide had been her second chance, an assignment sent by the gods themselves to bring her out of a deep depression. She’d lost him to the Poachers, and though they eventually reunited, she’d still failed him. She was supposed to be there for him.
I need to avenge them. I need their sacrifice to be worth it.
The village. She still saw it, clear as day. The smell of smoke and burning flesh in the air. Charred corpses curled in blackened ruins, blackened sky, black shadow roaring away. Him.
But…I think about the living too.
Davik was still out there, somewhere. He’d escaped the village massacre, had been stolen by the Poachers, but was long gone by the time she tried to find him. She needed to find him.
They’re still here. They’re still with me.
She was used to the weight on her back; Landslide’s chittering, in his cocoon phase. He’d molt someday, but until then, she’d carry him. She needed to carry him, to prove to herself that she could.
I can’t throw that away.
Endless trials and hardships with Sebastien. They struggled together, and they won together. Oltura -ZERO- threatened the very stability of the Arena, but she was of the belief there was no problem they’d fail to solve if they had each other’s backs.
I have to protect them.
They breached the surface, and she heard Deluge’s wings unfold. Luin dug her legs into the saddle as she wiped the wet hair from her eyes and spread her arm, with wind whipping the drops from her face. The woman let out a victorious cry over the ocean, and the Elder Dragon joined in.
I have to do it for them.
Khars’Li cried out and tumbled backwards as the fish exploded from the lake’s surface, beating against the ground. The little guy raised hell, spraying water everywhere, but Luin hardly noticed; so preoccupied was she with laughing at the terror from Khars’Li. The towering Lizardman grumbled at his own reaction and her reaction to him. "It’s really not that funny…"
Everyone who’s here…
Aelun removed his helm as Luin did hers. There was a moment their eyes met, silver strings of hair pressed with seat against his brow, the golden dusk of a dying day behind him, and all her doubts faded with the light. Night settled, and she knew she was right where she was meant to be. But even still, something was missing. She missed her.
…And everyone who’s not.
She’d grown massively, and scars lined her form almost like morbid decorations, declarations of her survival, a statement that she had endured all that the world had thrown at her. She alone was the one beast Annihilation Nergigante could not so easily slaughter. She was the untamed, the true Queen of Earth, crowned with blood and coronated in battle. But even still, Luin saw only the baby Rathian stumbling from a cave, barely able to walk on its own two feet. In a life fraught with failure, this was her greatest success.
For them. Whatever it takes.
"I’m going to end it." She promised them all; the dead and the living, the present and the gone. "For good."
With great power…you know the rest.Stained Monsters
The Stained Rathian hisses upon noticing several combatants approaching. Unbeknownst to it though, this is exactly what its master was hoping to see.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 OST - Rage-Rayed Monsters
The monster charges forward, avoiding the lightning and hammer with a quick leap and largely ignoring the fire; though the ice makes it wince when it hits (something Luin is close enough to be able to notice). It follows up by swinging its tail at Dedede, sending Dark Matter (the substance) flying off and potentially hitting him if he doesn't dodge right. That would be especially bad as after a few seconds, the ooze coalesces into several small Dark Matter (the beings). One of them goes after Dedede and turns its eye into a tooth filled jaw, attempting to bite him; while the other two fly after Durian.

The rocket thrusters cannot exactly achieve flight, but at higher gears it can make short horizontal bursts midair. The gaps are a bit large, so Luna may also need to compliment the dashes with wall clings.
Nina’s side is close to the wall, which can either be crossed by a high jump-double jump combo or simply clinging onto the wall. There’s also the option to grab onto Simon after he finishes his manoeuvres, or cling down to the lower route then wall cling back up on the other side.
(Versatility in the usage of modifications is a really important factor.)
If Simon flies high enough, he can see that the combo movement section is the final section before they reach the rating panel and the exit.
Meanwhile, the Squad is teaching the dummies to do the Kirby Victory Dance.

But also he tackled the shade, so good job Denji!!
Though the Shade attempted to swing the censer into the side of the Chainsaw Man’s head, it had moved too late; he had it against the ground, dark streaks emitted from the areas where the saws had sunk. Still it made measly efforts to fight back, swinging arms and attempting to scratch Denji. Behind him, the necrotic mist encroached ever nearer…but he’d not have to worry on it long. Avdol leapt between he and the fog, hands clapping together as a hail of flame in front of him took the form of Magician’s Red before spraying a wave of fire at the fog, pushing it further back.
The Scytheman jerked away from Yuki’s pillar, though not quick enough; the fire had caught the Shade’s left leg, inducing the release of shadowy mist from the injury. The Shade, smart enough to pick its own battles, vanished once again. In rapid succession came two throwing spears in Yuki’s direction, but rather than direct hits, they’d only sink into the sand at her feet…before exploding with a sinister power.
The whip-wielder swung its weapon upwards, intercepting Ti’s paper planes while only strengthening the hold it had on the student’s heel. While Te attacked from below, getting a good hit on the whipper’s side from which a dark mist spilled, Ta’s jump was interrupted by the scythe-bearing Shade, who teleported just below the leaping triplet and hooked the curve of its weapon around her to forcefully bring her back to the sand.
Liam wrestled to free himself from the whip, slowly dragged closer to the Shade, yet his insignificant kicking and thrashing did nothing. Lily caught a glimpse of her brother in danger and charged headlong towards the threat, when the scythe-bearing Shade materialized in front of her. The young apprentice’s eyes widened and her arms flew in front of her face as the enemy swung its weapon for her.
SIMPLE SKILL: GUARD — REFLECT
The scythe’s blade stopped just short of her arms, held back by some unseen force, before she pushed them out with force and the Shade was flung backwards. During this, Libby dropped into a slide at the whip, her blade tearing from its sheath and through the rope. But just as it seemed Liam had been freed, the two ends reattached themselves and Liam was pulled away even quicker. Then came his final hope: Ethan, like a valkyrie (albeit a male diversity hire cuz odin went woke) on sunlit wings. His dive towards the Shade ended with his spear in the shadowy figure’s chest and glimmering from the other end, but as its flickering fingers rose slowly to grasp the spear upon which it was impaled, eyes of glowing white opened on its otherwise featureless face. These eyes rose to meet Ethan’s.
With a sudden burst of strength, it lifted its elbow and smashed it down against the spear, intending to break the weapon in two. It’d next reach out—the whip vanished—and attempt to place both hands on either side of Ethan’s head, attempting to literally steal the life from him if it was allowed to do so.
Behind them, Libby watched this unfold and hauled ass towards the conflict. But a mere few feet from Ethan, a shadowy spear embedded itself through her shoulder from behind. She turned to face the direction it had come from just in time for the scythe-wielder to materialize before her, driving a knee into her face and knocking her on her back.

With great power…you know the rest.A soft breath escapes Alderoth when Severus puts forth his suggestion, the Summoner still braced against the tree.
"Sealing is... ineffective, from our experiences... a temporary measure at best."
His single eye peers at the trio of elves, watching their attempt at protecting Milo, and he sighs out and extends a hand in a gesture akin to a half-shrug.
"...The corruption should hopefully ebb soon— something like this is hardly permanent, even if it is not pleasant to experience."
Then, a question, aimed at Eve this time. Alderoth settles his weight against the tree, and it may not escape the notice of the others how the wood creaks from his weight: something that shouldn't be happening under normal circumstances, especially from a sturdy thing.
He shuts his eyes. "What do those crosses do, anyways?"
Rather disappointingly, albeit not entirely unexpected, it does seem that the artefact that Milo uses is at most only somewhat effective, even if the magic itself seems unaffected. Really, it appears as if it is the gem itself that weathers the brunt of whatever corruption this is.
As for Oni (and Milo, should the vampire accept the assistance), moving out of the corruption is the best route, even if simply walking feels strangely tiring, an added weight with each footstep, and as they leave the area, the discolouration fades at around the same time as the effects, the air outside fresh and probably relaxing compared to the stifling atmosphere within the affected location.
The silence all around the area is still telling, however, and even as the 'pulse' of corruption begins to recede, albeit far more slowly than its spread, the quiet remains.
A foul thing, whatever this is, enough to either scare or force the fauna out.
Creator of the Avatar Arena and its Discord server.Severus takes a moment to haul himself back to his feet.
"In other words, letting it be is our most viable option unless someone manages to discover another solution," he replies. "As for her crosses, I would assume they're meant to lessen the corruption's more unpleasant effects, at the very least."
He raises an eyebrow once he notices how the tree Alderoth was leaning against seemed to been feeling the pressure.
"That tree, was it weakened by the corruption just now?"
That'd be a good guess, but this particular magic wouldn't react well to interferences on it. Eve says to Severus, being polite enough to let him have his theory. She doesn't fully trust everyone in the group. So her explanation on the crosses will lack some details in case something goes wrong.
It's worth noting that the real natures of the crosses is very carefully hidden thanks to Eve's sheer potent skills as a mage. They can emit a warning to beings approaching the corruption and block them if necessary, since floating crosses could actually make people too curious as well. They're also kept away from the corruption and I can use them as a viewpoint - if it grows, I'll know and I will take appropriate measures to stop them from spreading.
In pratice, they are no more than a simple barrier.
Eve's eyes linger over the tree but she lets Severus call it out, having been busy with her explanation.

... well, it's somewhat natural that sayings would differ between worlds. He enters a building and closes the door behind him. Now they can talk more freely.
"But I believe I understand its meaning regardless. If I'm right, your ambitions seem to coincide with mine..."
His eyes narrow a bit.

In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.Stained Rathian
Dedede jumps over the tail swing and counters the incoming bitey Dark Matter with an aerial hammer spin. Upon hitting the ground, he slams down his hammer, launching a shockwave at the Stained Rathian.
Fight Against Culex
Culex doesn't respond to B-Zoner's logic, but he does take damage from the laser cannon (not that it's super clear since he doesn't have a 'getting hurt' animation besides shuddering in place). He casts Meteor Blast, raining down stylized stars all over the battlefield to attack the whole party for moderate damage.
The Fire Crystal (red) is weak to ice, taking extra damage from Filia's ice beam. It doesn't take so much damage from the Dark Matter attacks. Just like Culex, its only sign of taking damage is shuddering in place. It uses Fire Saber, shining an evil ray on one of the Dark Matter blobs that makes a screeching noise, dealing substantial unblockable damage.
The Water Crystal (blue) is weak to lightning, taking extra damage from Filia's electric attack is NOT weak to lightning, that was an error. It retaliates with Diamond Saw, creating a blizzard-like weather effect before firing a pair of razor-edged snowflakes at Filia. Their damage type is non-elemental, oddly enough, though I guess it's fine since it's a cutting attack.
The Earth Crystal (yellow) casts Blast, making a series of chain explosions just appear on Ringabel, dealing high damage if he can't block or dodge it.
The Wind Crystal (green) uses Electroshock. Sparks start to appear in the air around Dark Star, before a bolt of lightning strikes from above, potentially encasing him in a sphere of harmful electricity.
Vs. Kurt Zisa
The left orb takes enough damage to destroy it. It disperses into darkness, and while no one gets any power back, it releases a burst of cartoonish green orbs that are automatically absorbed by anyone near them, healing them.
The right Silence orb takes a bit of damage, but Kurt Zisa jumps back to one end of the arena, then leaps into the air, orients its entire body horizontally, starts spinning with its blades, and apparently achieves flight as it hurtles at its foes, racing over the ground like a sawblade. Upon reaching the edge, it stops in the air, twists its shotel-wielding arms to orient its attack vertically, and goes in for another spin attack across the field.
After that, it lands, leaving an opening to retaliate.

"Don't tell me this is an used map that some kid drew on. ... actually, knowing the company, they probably would reuse maps between costumers.", he says as he looks it over. The letters... really don't seem to make any sense when put together.
'retrcpoeht'
Yeah, this is probably from some kid having drawn on it. Sighing, he decides to just deal with it and walks off.

Grape pauses too upon hearing the footsteps, looking around and practically jumping as well as he now notices Charlie.
"Jeez, Charlie. Why didn't you say you were tagging along? I thought I was alone."
Wait, those footsteps sounded way too loud for Charlie to make. Who else is here?
In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.Pizzaplex
Charlie gets closer to Grape, almost back-to-back.
"If I told you why, you'd avoid me on purpose. But now we have bigger problems."
She looks back and forth...
And then hears a noise...
From above!
"Oh no!" a towering, spindly figure with a bag over his head rasps out as he falls facefirst toward Charlie and Grape, giving the kids just enough time to look up and see a lovely close-up of his gleaming red eye before he crashes onto them.
High Hrothgar
"I believe it's too faint to be Laxin. Most likely remnant forces trying to salvage his work."
Terra takes Ventus aside to explain the Sith while Aqua continues on with the main conversation.
"Still, if there's anything he was doing that the other Sith would want desperately enough to linger around the ruins of the Academy, we should stop them from finding it."

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."

Metru Nui
Mata Nui smiles at Umbra.
Vale yawns dismissively.
"I'm just surprised at the lack of weird looks I got."
Meanwhile, the Golden Spider climbs up on Velika's shoulder.
"Hello there, friend! You seem like a scheming sort!"
Erk, he just straight-up said it. Well, at least it's not that loud, and in a friendly tone.

"I'm sixteen," Emma blurts out. "I don't need a new dad, okay?"
Cassie stares in surprise.
"...I mean, I knew you were older than us, but wow."
"You look, like, twelve," Charlie says.
"That's because she's been sick for basically her entire life. Stunts the growth."
Charlie winces. Having spent thirty years dead, she knows how it feels to grow up mentally but not physically.
"...Forget I said anything." Emma rushes to grab her pass and head in.
The other girls follow suit. Cassie runs along with Gregory.
"I have a racing champion title to keep!"
Charlie stops upon seeing Grape head off on his own. She reaches back and gestures to get Mike's attention while keeping her eyes on Grape.
Whether or not Mike notices, she then starts following the alternate Gregory.
The U-Virus's mouth closes and disappears.
One of my hosts was a laser tag pro. Want me to share his memories with you?
Cheating isn't very fun. Lemme see how I can do on my own. Emma heads toward Fazer Blast.
This time, the virus doesn't have any quips about Emma to throw back.
High Hrothgar
Ventus laughs.
"They're your friends too, right? So you're just as lucky."
It only takes a few more seconds. Streaks of blue and orange light come hurtling toward High Hrothgar like comets, Aqua and Terra on their Keyblade Gliders. They stop in the air and jump off the gliders, which turn back into their Keyblades and fall into their hands.
They run up and pull Ventus into a group hug.
"H-hey, it hasn't been that long..."
Terra pulls away.
"But it's always good to celebrate an unexpected reunion."
