Pica-Verse
"Gimme a chance to explain, sheesh!" Sora rubs the back of his head.
"I'm Sora," he introduces. "I opened a way forward on my own adventure, and it led me here. I think my path led me to help you guys."
"You don't even know what's going on."
"Yeah, but I don't need much to tell that you're good guys stuck in a weird situation. I've run into this scenario a million times."
Altina sighs. "Well, we are currently moving between many alternate versions of the same world, pursuing a felon by the name of Goyo Richard who is attempting to bring ruin to the group known as Pica-Pica in each version. However, mass transit between alternate worlds destabilizes the fabric of this reality, so we have to keep our group small to avoid damage."
Sora chuckles. "Oh, that shouldn't be a problem for me."
"How is that possible?"
Sora holds out a hand and manifests the Kingdom Key in a shower of sparkles. "With a Keyblade! It can open any seal and seal any opening! It's also handy as a weapon."
Altina narrows her eyes. Who is this boy? He seems to fit too perfectly for the predicament at hand.

Peppino wipes his forehead. "Oh, come on... I'm enough of a sweaty mess as it is."
As he makes his way through the level, he comes upon a Superball Flower. However, since nothing can go right for him, using this new powerup turns him into a projectile, ping-ponging all over the ground and whatever ceiling is available, but soaring high over the level when he bounces up into open air.
"Eeeyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!" he screams in a heavily bit-crunched voice.
Oh hey the pineapple Toppin is hidden all the way on a floating platform up here! He figures out how to change back out of superball form in time to land on its cage and grab it.
Which leaves him looking down at the ground far below, nervously wondering how to get down from here.
Game
Delilah narrows her eyes. In her head, she's calculating potential ways to save the party by force if she has to. Unleashing her power could forcibly separate them from the game, but she still doesn't have enough control. It would also put them and everyone else outside the game in danger—even more danger than when she risked deleting a city just by teleporting.

"Do we have enough to buy the ultimate armor now?" Charlie ponders. Though as for prompts, she and Victoria ask about the last two minions.
Confluence of Fates
Under her breath, Reyna says, "Motherfuck."
She jumps away from the Turf War and readies herself. Regular hunting tactics won't suffice for Soulstealer—she might not have seen it before now, but she can tell that at a glance.
Fortunately, she has options.
The Grand Resurrection
"Yeah, we have veggies. I'll go get 'em."
Majima heads into another back room, the building's cold storage, to get some greens for Drumstick.

Refia sighs and addresses PC!Areui. "That said, next time, don't introduce yourself with an attack."
Eric scoffs. "Like he's gonna change his attitude now after however many thousands of years."

"Oh, I'm nobody special. You can call me Demyx. Couldn't help noticing you two and thought it'd be fun to tune in!"
Kirike continues stammering in the background.
Raex
Somehow, Narktus remains level-headed and unfazed as Raex reanimates, just tanking his punch with a dull expression. The Ultima Weapon flies back in between them, deflecting the beams before Narktus grabs it. A magic circle forms on the ground around Narktus' feet.
In a flash of a heart-shaped sigil, the wing-like protrusions above the Ultima Weapon's hilt fly off and grow to encompass the length of the blade, then the blade itself grows. Everything folds in on itself, leaving only three shimmering rainbow crystal edges, two orbiting around one in the center. The handguard, which is in the shape of that same heart-shaped sigil, bursts off the hilt and also grows and begins orbiting around, all while numerous different blades of shimmering crystal fly out of spots of light all over the ground.
Finally, the three-piece blade and handguard merge back into the hilt and shrink back down, completing the Ultima Weapon's Formchange from a Keyblade into a simple crystal-bladed sword.
Ultimate Form.
Narktus brings the Ultima Weapon down in an overhead arc, and another rift in reality splits open in the wake of its edge.

The GREATEST JAGRAS growls as it turns around, the slime disappearing from its forelimbs as it goes quadrupedal again. It then... flies up, as if flapping invisible wings. Guh? Sebastien blocks the first few strikes but knows he'll quickly get overwhelmed. So he does what THAT FUCK LUCENT NARGACUGA always does when I'm doing a combo and jumps back before vanishing. Reorienting mid-air he reappears behind the Poacher with a rush of his own slash attacks.

Killer Moth suits up, checking his wrist guns, his moth drones and his various gadgets. While inside an abandoned Taco Bell. Not his most dignified changing spot.
"Time for some payback." He mutters, intent on storming out and finding Kenjaku to gun him down. Or sabotage his plan at least.
Except there's a sand wall in the way.
"...Fuck's sake." he grumbles, heading out the long way through the back instead. This means it'll take him a whole ass other round to fly up from there and back to the fight.
"That was a pointless encounter with a pointless person."The Arena is an odd world. A nexus of realities. I did not see too much of its streets but I still informed myself before leaving, if only to see if I could perhaps acquire some help in dealing with the being. They appear to be worshipping odd gods but their technology is very advanced if I say so. It is certainly a world worth revisiting - not as a conqueror, but as someone who could try and shape all that chaos into pure, purposeful, efficient order.
Venturing into the depths of the entity's palace, I found myself assisted by a gallery of people quite fit to be adventurers, with the way they proudly exhibited their neurosis to the world. One was a man clad in the colors of his country, wielding a mighty shield. Another wielded considerably more advanced armament, though he had an unfortunate tendency to repeat Kenjaku -or so he calls himself-'s words during simple explanations. There was a woman wearing half a white mask, with an enchanted slender sword by her side, and a small man, with antique cannonpowder weaponry, who boasted of the power of his beams, whose name I shall erase from my memory to spare myself the embarrassment.
The fifth member of our group was the most special one - an automaton much more advanced than my Steel Watchers, also much larger in size, who could shift into a vehicle form for easier transport or locomotion. He spoke fluidly, with great wisdom matched by the shocking naivety in his words. I do not know yet how useful his bulk will be given the description of the mission.
Still, the sixth member of our group was one I had expected least : It was the Dark Urge, my old friend, back from the shadows. To my chagrin, we soon deduced that we belonged to different worlds. He was scouting this world on behalf of the "me" from another world, and though I was not expecting any help on his part, he'd told me that a cooperation would be fruitful, for old time's sake. And that it suited him that the Cult of the Absolute would spread across multiple worlds.
A bizarre decision - I am not from his world. And acquiring Ketheric's netherstone would give him the upper hand over the "me" in another world. Nevermind that the cult of Bhaal fully intend to make a crimson sea out of Faerun. I doubt that my friend's endgame would involve merely spreading our beloved sham across the worlds.
I was also left wondering how exactly he had managed to discover this nexus so unprompted - Questions he had avoided or dismissed. As I am writing this, the sad reality of this become apparent to me - this particular Dark Urge...
Is my friend
Looking past his gallant presence, I've managed to rally the team into taking time before jumping into the mission, with assistance from the Urge, so as to better pool our strategic minds together. For it seems apparent that the odds are against us, alone and isolated in that cold world. I've managed to convince them that we should instead make a small enclave within Moonrise Crypt and force Ketheric's hand in dealing with us directly.
This will help "Solid Snake" (what kind of name even is this? questions to be unanswered across the cosmos) sneak into the enemy's heart to destroy the source of his immortality. Granted, there are several problems with this, which I'll gladly notice at a later time, but none of them matter to me. I will only need to disappear during the fighting to acquire the Netherstone - the fate of Ketheric and my team matter little to me.
Although I will still defend my friend.
Kenjaku will give me the Netherstone's localization before heading out. I will need to doublecheck it. Perhaps Snake could do it in his recon mission? I have a night before our final decision is taken. And I can only remain cavalier in the face of my circumstances.

"Then we should buy it so that we'll have an easier time going forward.", Gregory says.
"I WOULD SUGGEST THE SAME. IT IS BECOMING MORE AND MORE DANGEROUS TO TRAVERSE THESE WORSENING LANDS, AND I DO NOT THINK I WILL BE ABLE TO FIND NEW EQUIPMENT FOR YOU BY THE NEXT TIME WE MEET."

"THE THIRD MINION IS A REAL POWERHOUSE. THE UNSTABLE NATURE OF THIS AREA IN PARTICULAR HAS CAUGHT HIS HP IN AN INFINITE LOOP, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO DEPLETE HIS HEALTH TO 0, THOUGH A STRONG-ENOUGH ATTACK MAY STILL STAGGER HIM. HOWEVER, HIS RUGGED APPEARANCE IS KEPT AS IT IS THROUGH DARK MAGIC, AND PIERCING ATTACKS WILL SAP HIS MP. PERHAPS, IF YOU DEPLETE HIS MP TO ZERO, YOU WILL WIN THE BATTLE. IN ANY CASE, BE READY BEFORE GOING ANY FURTHER, BECAUSE THE THIRD MINION IS WAITING FOR YOU AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS ABYSS BEHIND ME. AND BE WARY OF WHICH STANCE HE'S IN. HE WILL CHANGE STANCES EVERY TURN, AND DEPENDING ON WHICH ONE HE IS IN, HE WILL EITHER RAPID-FIRE ATTACKS, OR HE WILL TRY TO TANK YOUR ATTACKS. STRIKE AND HEAL AT THE RIGHT TIMES AND HE SHOULD GO DOWN QUICKLY, PERHAPS EVEN FASTER THAN PREVIOUS MINIONS."
"THIS ONE WILL BE UNLIKE ANY OF THE ONES BEFORE HIM. HE DIRECTLY WIELDS THE UNSTABLE NATURE OF THIS WORLD TO HIS ADVANTAGE, WHICH HAS MADE HIM MORE POWERFUL THAN THE OTHER MINIONS COMBINED. I ADVISE SEVERE CAUTION IN DEALING WITH HIM WHEN THE TIME COMES. THE ULTIMATE ARMOR SHOULD AT LEAST PREVENT HIM FROM BEING ABLE TO STRIKE YOU DOWN IN ONE HIT, BUT THIS WILL NOT MAKE THE BATTLE ANY LESS DANGEROUS."

"IT SEEMS THE DEAD KING HAS BECOME ACTIVE IN RESPONSE TO YOUR SUCCESS. HE MAY BECOME AWARE THAT I HAVE BEEN ASSISTING YOU, AND IF YOU VANQUISH THE THIRD MINION, HE MAY CHOOSE TO INTERVENE."

Should everyone in the party agree that they should buy everything, then Grape has them buy the Endo Armor Quantums, the Group Potion and the Glitch Byte, getting it at an opportune price of only 5$. There was a shot at 1$, but Grape wasn't fast enough in clicking when it passed by.
Anyhow, they now have all the armor pieces, multiple HP restoring items and all three Bytes.
After that, given that they are fully healed, if they approach the abyss they'll find a warp panel leading down into it. Stepping on it will indeed warp them to the bottom of the abyss (where it's even more cold, to the point that they'll feel some of it through their winter clothes), and then the next boss appears. Terapagos gets slammed into by Soulstealer and is left vulnerable to having its power sapped away. It's powerless to do anything about this, and the attacks on Soulstealer are unlikely to force it off of Terapagos until it's too late; Terapagos de-transforms back into the state it was in right before the battle began, dazed and slowly falling to the ground.
Soulstealer has successfuly stolen Terapagos' Terastal energy, and this shows, as many of the crystals that it formed in the cavern start to turn to dust around everyone.

On the bright side, the customers left, which gives Mark an excuse to snatch up all their utensils for later and run after Kashimo and Corrin fighting soon after. He swings his chains to the poles to drag him around town, he builds momentum whilst trying to chase the two fighters.
Opportunity presents itself when Mark finally sees Kashimo drive Corrin down a building, he launches the chains to the building, the hammers lodging themselves through the concrete, and slings himself up into the air.
He quickly recoils and relaunches the chains at the apex of his ascent, around the rims of the holes. He immediately shoots himself downwards, hoping to dropkick Kashimo at breakneck speed and leave a crater on impact
There's a resemblance Corrin can pick up on, but that isn't necessary for now.

Soulstealer snarls at the Close Combat but well, he's actively stealing life force right now. So those present will be treated to the sight of it simply regenerating the injury back to normal.
Once Terapagos' Terastal energy is gone, Soulstealer actually drops the now smaller turtle by accident. Shaking his head, the Elder Dragon stumbles a little as he's never tasted energy like this before. Energy pulses visibly over his body as it processes the Terastal Energy. Tera crystals grow over his forelimbs and head like armor before he lets out a triumphant roar
, the ground shaking.
Terastalized Soulstealer then simply swipes his claw to bat Terapagos aside, like a broken toy. Those present might recognize his expression as smug. He roars
again, Terastal energy building up as the crystal armor glows red, enhancing his natural fire attacks right before he drags a fire beam across the arena.

As the giant beam sweeps across the entire cave, Gronny instinctively dodges...
...but Rayne is nearly frozen in place with fear. The beam washes over him and he squeezes his eyes shut.
...nothing happened?
Sure enough, there's a golden shield around Rayne- one shining with the symbol of Arceus. His Arc Phone had flown out of his bag- it shimmered a bright gold before transforming into some sort of oversized rifle, with the four-pronged symbol or Arceus near the front, acting as a sort of shield emitter.
Basically, it's a heavy bowgun, but Rayne doesn't know that. He does somehow know how to use the damn thing, though.
"-Gronny, use Extreme Speed!"
As his Mega Lucario becomes a blur of movement and aims to strike out at the crystals on Soulstealer, Rayne hefts the Arceus Cannon up in his arms and fires off a shot- it doesn't fire physical projectiles, as Rayne doesn't have any. Instead, it shoots golden bolts of light, which don't have any damage type... yet. Something within Rayne's bag is shimmering- the Type Plates he'd collected from his time in Hisui. He doesn't notice it yet.

Frilda hesitated…but nodded at Hange’s statement. For now, though, she gave no answer to Joy’s inquiry: this was not the time nor place for an explanation of any length. She heard the assessment of Medicine and seemed relieved at the news—even she couldn’t hide that. "There are practitioners…with my sister. They may know the magic needed to heal this in full, but we’ll need to get her there fast. Em…Em, can you hear me?" Weakly, the girl nodded. "We must go. Are you able to stand?"
With Frilda’s aid, and maybe Medicine’s as well, Emilia staggered to her feet. "Mia," Frilda waved the younger of two daughters over. "Take your sister. I’ll lead the way." The woman did just that: any hint of hidden animosity or subtle jealousy was vanquished in that moment, for only concern existed on her face as he wrapped an arm around Emilia’s shoulders and held her drowsy sister close.
The prisoner, watching Taye approach, is wearing that same awful smile he’d lost however many minutes ago. He broke out into a maddened giggle as he was bound to her, and did not resist in the slightest. "Dhagn nevhûn cenn…Dhagn went nevhûn cennun ash har." He whispered in a high voice, a smile spread wide on his lips.
"Shut it," Ladwin hissed at the prisoner as he passed by, making for Frilda. He stood by the door as she hesitantly turned to it and pushed it open, taking a last glance at Emilia behind her before slipping out into the unlit hallway.
It was quiet in here. All the fighting was either too far away to hear, or had simply ended…and which side would be victorious in such a scenario was obvious. Trying not to think of such things, the Queen took point, with Medicine hopefully just behind her and shining a light around them. She led them around various corners in their winding stone path to freedom, moved swiftly but quiet down long castle halls. Before long, they emerged into the longest and largest hall yet. To their right was the end of the tunnel, the faint amber glow of the late day just outside the keep, freedom and safety, and to their left was nothing but emptiness, a tunnel that stretched on endlessly. The black void was almost terrifying to behold, some strange fear creeping into the hearts and minds of those who gazed upon it..
The darkness lining the walls to their right was strange as well, if one stopped and paid close enough attention. It seemed to move…formless shapes twitching and folding in the abyss. "Something’s wrong," Frilda whispered.

Hange felt a bit less on-edge with two ultrahard steel blades in hands, but, she knew that was just a psychological effect, or something like that.
"Wait," Hange said as they advanced, "I have to agree. Are we being misled somehow? Someone produce us more light, if you can."
With absolutely no magic resistance to speak of, Hange clings to the familiar feeling of the grip of her swords as she gazes down the long dark hallway.

EXCELSUS
Weak points are hard to find in spite of EXCELSUS' size, many of the legs and appendages are seemingly without fault, but thanks to Kado's force abilities, he can probably notice that there are a few gigantic rivets alongside the joints of the behemoth of a machine.
They're tough to pull out, but eventually come off with enough effort. Given their weight and how long they've been attached to one another, they're still stuck together. But their absence gives Vincent a prime weak point to strike down the leg alongside the Jedi.
Plenty of time, considering EXCELSUS is not moving as a result of focusing their efforts to batter and smash Croque with its blades, sweeping widely and then smashing overhead.

William's tactics are playing to his favor again, he decides to further hammer it in by forming a pair of glowing glasstic blades and then blocking — by thrusting the blades forward and making them shatter. It snaps his right arm the wrong way and he winces in pain a little.
"I can't do that, but you can...
Once the cleave comes, his legs go limp to get on his knees and dodge. A bit of his hair shaves off but he uses this chance to conjure another pair of glasstic blades. This time, he empowers them properly and, hoping to catch Okksbad off guard, attempts to skewer the ork's abdomen and disembowel them.
"Stand proud, you're strong!"
....
Donte looks visibly overwhelmed by the amount of swords he has to contest with and rolls away in time. He's fought Vergil's mirage blades but Dante's usage is completely benign to him.
Worse yet, he's asking to use pull out his devil trigger as if a test of strength when in reality he was going to pull it out anyway just to catch up. Thankfully his line of questioning lets him pull it out without revealing that thought.
"Heh, fucking 'bring it!"
Donte's hair goes from black to white, his eyes glow red, his skin goes pale, his veins glow a sinister red, and his coat changes hue into a bright red, and his body emits a — you guessed it — red misty aura. A side effect of his devil trigger is an anti-gravity effect but it wont affect Dante, it only uproots parts of the roof they're on as platforms.

Ammeltunn paused in the midst of his walk to glance back at the group he was leading. All around them, the soldiers stationed at the fortress buzzed about, busy in the wake of the attack.
"I…appreciate it, truly, I do. For as long as Koro-Na has stood, we’ve rarely accepted the aid of outsiders…but these are far from normal times. I would gladly welcome you all…Whas’Intun—our leader—may be a little less warm to the idea, but I’ll convince him." The Lizardman said. "I can arrange for living quarters for each of you in Koro-Na for the duration of your stay. I cannot promise any sort of money or compensation for your help…but know that as long as you are here, you’ll be treated as one of our own. You’ll be fed, your needs attended.." Ammeltunn sighed and glanced to the sky, clear and blue.
"The Island faces a threat it has not faced in millennia. Winter is coming, and with it come the horrors. The savage tribes in the north mass. We hear the echo of their horns off the mountains, horns of unification which have not sounded in thousands of years, blown to convey a single intent: destruction and slaughter. The Winter War approaches steadily, and we shall need all the aid we can get."
——
The Poacher snarled out a laugh as Sebastien destroyed. He may not have seen the man in the dim room…but he was far from invisible. The Poacher himself was perhaps one of the greatest practitioners of stealth in the General’s army, and to have his own tricks used against him…
It was an admirable effort, but it wouldn’t be enough.
There was not a sound he was deaf to, not even Sebastien’s feet in the dark. He wheeled around to face the man, clashing against his blades with a shower of sparks before aiming to slam his head into Sebastien’s nose and follow up quickly with a kick to the chin. The man slipped out of Demon Mode (fuck you shroobert) and sheathed his dual blades, spreading his arms as though to mock the opponent.
——
"I was." Radahn huffed, and that was all he said on the matter.
When they emerged from the fortress, Luin and Khars’Li both seemed fairly surprised. The former leaned forwards in her saddle with crossed arms that rested upon the horse’s back, eyebrows raised. "Huh. Okay, Perceval." She smiled. "Nice job."
——
"Hope you got rhythm, Captain Hook," Lily smiled, pointing her weapon at the man of sand. "Cuz I wanna dance." One-liners before a fight. They worked for Mr. Cardell, right? She saw him use them during their more genuine exercises in the field (fancy term for when they got to just watch him beat up some threat that happened to be menacing a Children-protected settlement that day instead of doing work).
Lily was quick to brainstorm ideas. She had one that involved the properties of her Lun…she’d just need some water first. Lily glanced around for a fire extinguisher, perhaps, or even a pitcher of water…but her plan would need to wait. More immediately, she wanted to take some of the heat off Beruka and help the woman out. She lifted her free hand and snapped her fingers in Mr. Crocodile’s direction, performing one of the more challenging Skills, and one she’d only recently learned…
SIMPLE SKILL: BURN
If she triggered her Willpower just right, a few sparks and a tiny flame would be ignited between her fingers, just a hint of what was to come. Mr. Crocodile’s entire form would be engulfed in a blaze for little more than a few seconds before automatically going out, unless there was something flammable on his body to keep the fire going. She suspected it wouldn’t do too much damage against a guy made of sand…but if it helped Beruka out, good for her, right?
With great power…you know the rest.Jax
Jax listens intently to Lolbit as it divulges details about the remaining two minions, mulling over ideas in his head as to how best to deal with what waits below in the abyss. The Grandmaster at Arms was a hard hitter, but draining mana was not in his toolset, though he suspected Evan may, given the diversity of his demonstrated attacks thus far. He was happy to play tank and spam counterstrike when this enemy was in multi-attack mode.
After the young boy received Lolbit's letter, Jax eyed the envelope as the boy no doubt stored it, looking back up at the shopkeeper with an intrigued gaze. Perhaps Lolbit knew more than the game construct was allowed to let on, but Jax knew there'd be no way of figuring it out.
Jax adds his agreement to the mass purchase with a nod, twirling his lamp overhead and stepping toward the abyss, his expression sinking with each step. What horrible, disgusting, unfathomable horror awaited them in the depths? Jax didn't shudder at the thought, as much as he wanted to, awaiting the party to follow him before stepping in.
Teleporting down into the blackness, the hairs on the back of Jax's neck crept up, whether it was the fault of the cold or an uneasy feeling was inconclusive as the Grandmaster at Arms pressed his enflamed lamp forward, piercing the darkness.
Yet when their opponent is revealed, Jax is taken aback by the humorous appearance. Still, the wielder of Icathia's Last Light has cast aside his jokes for now, taking a few steps forward when the battle begins.
"Not going to be that useful this time around champs, but I can 'play' at the front."
Internally pondering which stance he was observing, Jax contemplated activating counterstrike but decided to play it safe with an Empower, swinging his lamp in an arc motion, the flame within burning brighter.
Raex
Raex's revival strikes were sloppy, and now that the adrenaline of another skirted death had worn off, the templar's mind calmed, facing his opponent with a tactical approach over one of brute force. Withdrawing his fist and taking a few swift steps backward, Raex's head suddenly formed around the eyes, bone, flesh, and blood coagulating from nothing to reform what had been lost.
Even the templar's helmet in shards on the ground erupted from its destroyed state to surround Raex's head and reform, all nigh instantaneously if viewed at real speed. As Raex observed the Ultima Weapon's transformation, he'd be impressed if Narktus had approached as an ally, but at the moment, all Raex could see was an insult to divinity with its grace.
As it finally reached its final appearance and Narktus swung overhead at Raex, the templar skirted the blow, dodging it swiftly, casting a glance at the shattered reality in the blade's wake with simultaneous awe and disgust. Riding his forward momentum, Raex spun in a circle, raising an armored elbow with a stiff form to strike Narktus with a stunning blow to his throat.
Whether it connects or not Raex follows this attempted strike by raising a knee to crash into the conqueror's outstretched blade arm, the templar's focus shifting from a killing blow to slowly whittling down Narktus's body.
Jack can only get so far underground before he'd have to grenade himself again, and considering the backlash he got from doing that once, he's not in the mood to do that. He also can't see properly due to the steam buildup around his body, but it makes sensing oncoming danger through other means a bit easier. Switching fully to the sledgehammer, he changes tactics from going deeper underground to fend off the assortment of fleshy beast tendrils, mostly by whacking whatever gets close.
Of course, that can only go so far as well - Tilra's fleshmonster arm has backed him into a corner by keeping up the pursuit, and while he can fend it off for a time, he just doesn't have enough physical ability to do that forever. He grits his teeth and focuses hard, flames rapidly burning hotter and hotter and charring his skin. He feels something tick over moments before the fleshmonster manages to land a bite on him, though he isn't thankful for his luck mostly due to having other thoughts on his mind... And it still took a larger chunk out of him that he'd ever want something to take.
<...At least in the previous battle, it took a while for anything to force my hand. This time I had to burn hot almost immediately. Once I get out of here, I'll have to do some serious innovating to stop this from being a crutch... Probably find a better way to gear up when separated from my arsenal.>
From the surface and given the confined space, when Jack goes fully nuclear, what happens is less an explosion like before, more a vertical pillar of atomic radiation blasting directly upwards from where he previously stood. In the actual underground space, his body is briefly ripped apart in full as blast shockwaves bounce off the dirt-and-frost-and-possibly-part-flesh walls and straight back into himself - nobody here would be fooled by him playing dead given what they've previously seen from him, but if they hadn't it'd be hard to believe anything living would come out of a mess like that. However, under the even-lower ground, Jack's body welds itself back together as he sinks even further into the earth, then pushes himself out in another direction. He at least has some reference for which ways are up and down, so he can direct himself upwards if he aims a flaming jet in the correct direction.
Given a bit of time, he'll get back up to the surface. However, well before that happens, the battlefield begins cracking open as wayward heat and radiation force their own ways through the paths of least resistance, congealed masses of molten matter pouring up like a more offputtingly-coloured version of magma. For anyone not capable of absorbing energy or shielding against heat, that kind of change would be a disastrous new environmental hazard to watch out for. But considering that everyone present can do that, what the dollar store lava represents is an opportunity for themselves to harvest energy and prepare for Jack's return.
As he rises, those on the surface would be able to hear his voice in their heads.
{I see this battle as part of the process of improvement. Testing each other, figuring out our shortcomings so we can work on covering those for later battles. Today has been very informative for me so far... Fight with everything you have, so that I may find my limit.}
The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me.Luster
Ha ha, the crowd has literally shrunk! Happy April Fool's!
...
Something's off with Leo Luster, he seems to be atop something instead of actually floating. Kaila has enough experience with funky game mechanics to tell. Thus, she holds her arms out again, an icon of swirling arrows
◊ appearing over the 'empty' space under Luster. After a few seconds of sparkles, two things should happen to whatever is beneath Luster:
- It turns visible, and
- Becomes intangible. Which may affect Luster's ability to stand on it.
Oh hey, a Yharon! Kaila's always found it odd he's a dragon and not a phoenix, especially with how fluffy he is. And the JAGRAS is throwing up oil. Seems dangerous, doesn't it?
Kaila gets to work, summoning semi-transparent planks to surround herself and the houseplant, hopefully protecting them from imminent explosions. The planks are attached to the tank-mech by some colorful round circles, presumably 'nails' of a sort. It's not clear what the planks are made of either, but surely they're fireproof.
Another thing about the planks - while they block objects and mindless creatures, any sapient person can just walk through them without trouble. Huh.

"Pyra"'s expression right now:
What the heck is even going on... This is going to be even more awkward than it already is.
Hold on, why does the right side of the screen suddenly feel hazy?
"Pyra" inspects their right hand. It's on fire (again, more visual than actually burning).
Hold on, why is the MP gauge draining?
"Pyra" glances over to the commands menu.
Above the menu is a block of text saying "Firaga".
Good lord, the new UI registered self-combusting as a Magic attack. Not too surprising considering that the usual elemental attacks comes from the scars igniting themselves to produce the elemental energy needed, but seeing a visual representation of how much has been used up is new.
Ah well, let's check equipment to see if it shifts between modes again.
- Weapons
- Orihime and Hikoboshi (Blitz Form, Fire Boost/Formchange Extender)
- Corvid Claw (Blitz Form, Aeroza/MP Hastega)
- U&I (Guardian Form, Harvester/Magic Treasure Magnet)
- Armour
- Trusty Scarf (Firaza Bangle)
- Accessory
- Flaming Gloves (Fire Cufflink)
- Items
- Solo Heal (Potion)
- Solo MP Heal (Ether)
- Refocuser
By the time "Pyra" closes the equipment menu, the self-combustion has fizzled out (as if it's a visual emotional response, and "Pyra" has calmed themselves down playing around with menus)
Du-Du-Wa-Do-It, Arena KatsudouLeo Luster
Hm. They didn't noticed my show. Maybe if I get closer...
Gadget continues spewing more fireworks, this time pointing directly at the probably oil soaked Luster...
And then he proceeds to dance with the crowd. That's a catchy song.

The two explorers are walking along the group through the tunnels, with their oil lamps burning.
At Hange's request, they turned the oil burning up to max, concerned about the moving darkness... And the limited amount of oil they carry.
Pica-Verse
A nice-looking guy, capable to open portals at will, with a cool weapon and experience? How could you say him "no"?
Carolina grabs the children's book she had and shows it to Sora.
Well, Altina there said all what you need to know. They are the Pica-Pica: Nacho, the one with the bowler hat, Emi, the one with the funny purple hat, and the girl is Belén. They were kidnapped by that Goyo Richard and went to chase him, but then we knew he's kidnapping other variants of them across the multiverse. Also, some beings called "Mirages" that feed on creativity are involved.
Drawing!Belén chimes in. My homeworld is, humbly talking, the core of the Pica-Verse, and was born from love and creativity. If Goyo manages to conquer all of those worlds, the multiverse is over.''
"It's ready!"
Finally, Hatch finished his ritual, and noticed Sora.
"And who's that guy?"
He's Sora, an adventurer. His key can open portals at will! And he wants to help us.
"Hm. How convenient."
Hatch shows a book at the group.
"With this book, we can carry the world of drawings with us, and summon or keep out our friends when necessary."
He flips the book, showing draw versions of every member of the group. Then, he walks with 80's!Emi.
"For example, if you want to take him off the group, you only close the book on him, and BOOM!"
As Hatch closes the book on Emi, he disappears in a cloud of sparks. He then opens the book again, revealing a sketchy version of Emi, turned into a book page.
"And if you want him again in the group, just rip the page and put it on the floor!"
Hatch does it, and Emi reappears.
Groovy!
"Also, I cast a protective spell on it. You don't want to have a thief doing mischiefs with us."
The Hunter interrupts Hatch.
Well, very pretty and all, but I have a question for Sora: by a chance, is in your world a variant of Pica-Pica?
Three freaking ghosts!Arlina is right in one aspect of Sarah's mindset and it's that anger is blinding her. Whereas she could acknowledge Arlina's horrible condition and still be prudent, here, she mostly see it as an opportunity to quickly finish her off before she can heal herself, wind back time, blast away with lasers or break space the way Tilra can. She had already seen her recover from complete bodily destruction here.
There's no way for her to just ignore a shot, a real shot at defeating Arlina. Sarah teleports forward straight into Artemis, swinging her two fists together in the hope of decisively driving them into her chest and skull... but unfortunately for her, Arlina is able to launch Ultima right on time. And Sarah find herself slammed backwards by a beam that entirely engulf her.
Yet as it goes off, Arlina may be able to see Sarah's silhouette going towards her, wreathed in destructive energy, preparing a punch that could break through the beam and definitely stun her. Her anger and frustration hit a boiling point at being blasted -the worst-case scenario- so close to victory that even give her the energy to start running, discarding teleportation to get closer to Arlina.
And as Sarah prepare to swing her fist...
... She's buffeted away by the beam and sent flying, screaming in pain and rage as the beam completly engulf her.
And perhaps it does more than that to the world as a whole, because it suddenly goes white shortly before Artemis find herself with Sarah on a repaired island, the damage to their bodies gone. Her limbs and body are both fully restored, but her overall stamina and mana have been halved for the match. A way for Gor to not make Sarah's efforts null and void.
Sarah herself is left lying in the middle of a crater, completly unconscious. It's unknown if the real one is awake somewhere in the Arena or if this is the real one, but her lips twitch slightly. ... sorry thor... she manages to get out in a groan, before apparently falling unconscious "for real". After a few seconds, the blue sky over their head then suddenly become a black void, and pieces of the sea and island around the warriors start breaking apart.
With Sarah and Arlina's rate of recovery, either winning and staying there would help them just camp it out and wait for them to regenerate from their injuries. As such, Gor intends for the world not to last. And as in-case, while Arlina could then take someone to another portal (or the same portal), it'll lead to a diffeent place this time. It's mostly a way of kicking the winner out of the place so that they won't camp.
The portal in the sky glow brighter both ways, for Arlina and the fighters in the battle royale. It'll help broadcast Arlina's arrival to prevent her from trying to sneakily make her way back, but she'll have a temporary invincibility effect after leaving with Sarah, to as to prevent spawn-camping. Gor thought of a lot of things, huh?
Of course, it'll only last for a second or two. As not to be exploited by her.
Either way, all that remain is for Arlina to take Sarah out of the doomed world and go back to the Fortnite session;

Medicine does indeed follow right behind the Queen, making sure to keep the light orb going. She'd occasionally glance at the injured princess but as she said before, there's not much she can do for her at the moment.
When Hange calls for light, Medicine gets a different idea from the two explorers. She conjures up two more orbs of light and sends one down each path to see if there's anything lying in wait in the dark. Or if there's some fuckery afoot.

Monica has her Vincent go for broke, swinging the MVS at the weakpoint to sever another leg. She hopes whoever it is down there doesn't get turned into scrap too quickly, lest the behemoth start focusing on the rest of them again.

Sebastien is mildly impressed at being spotted, but knows not to lose focus by dwelling on it. The headbutt does get him but he reacts and recovers faster than his opponent might have expected, avoiding the kick. That means when his opponent is cheekily sheathing and spreading out his arms, he's open to Sebastien tossing a poison gas grenade at him. Like his blades they've been upgraded, to Gigginox venom in this case.
"That was a pointless encounter with a pointless person."The grenade hurdles and twirls through the air, landing smoothly in the Poacher’s waiting palm. He glanced at it with a sense of interest for only a split second before tossing it back into the air above him, clearly expecting it to simply explode into a sphere of flame…which would explain the disappointment in himself visible in his face when a veil of visibly toxic gas descended around him like a curtain.
There was a fit of coughing audible from within moments before he burst from it, moving quicker than most humans could as he zipped towards Sebastien with a jab aimed at his gut. His dual blades still hung on his back—it seemed he’d forsaken weapons for fists.
With great power…you know the rest.Leo Luster
Leo Luster looks at Angel.png when she declares she'll fight him... only for her to get interrupted by herself.
This ends up distracting him for long enough to actually let the 'houseplant' punt him off of her tank/mech. He looks genuinely stunned for a moment. How could he possibly have been hit with his immaculate charm?
As for the thing that had been carrying Leo Luster a little bit prior, the punt seems to have knocked Leo Luster off, so the latter won't be dropping through the former. Still, whatever it was, it ends up turning visible, and it's...
It's, uh...
It's a lanky man with a TV head. He's currently brushing off his sleeves to clean them, as they'd gotten dirty from the explosions last turn. He is not yet aware that people can see him.
Leo Luster, meanwhile, in still such shock from getting punted that the oil spit hits him, and combined with Yharon's array of fire attacks and Gadget's fireworks... well, he's soon comically set ablaze.
"AAAH! Wrong oil, wrong oil!", he shrieks, his voice suddenly devoid of its charm. He himself is surprisingly rather fine from the attacks, but his hair has burnt up, turning him back into Bluster Kong
◊. With that, the supernatural charm of Leo Luster vanishes. The gathered people will start snapping out of it.
Darkness, Varik, the High Priest of Darkness, Ban, Niko, Bismark, Pride, Perfect Cell, Specter Knight, Liza, Ken, Briganti, Louis, Cyber, Hub, Metal Sonic, Mara, Eggman Nega (from his base), Mewtwo, Sothis, Copy Robot, Indigo, Piccolo, the Stitchwraith, Scraptrap, Ribrianne, Dr. Strange Supreme, Queen, Scourge the Hedgehog, Invidia, Pseudo (from his base), Pilly (from Pseudo's base), Weber (from Pseudo's base), Flowey, Ren, his wolves, Green Jr, Comacho, Claus, the G.E.M. soldiers, Columbo, Obese and Shadowman and Clover all stare. The only one of the initially affected bunch who doesn't see this happening is Sunny, as he stayed in Eve's hospital.
Bluster Kong awkwardly stares back at them.
"... erm... why hello, good people! I, erm, hope you enjoyed this brief show put on for you by me, Bluster the Beneloventâ„¢!", he quickly tries.
"Everyone in favor of kicking his ape behind?", Scourge speaks up with a grin. Perfect Cell readies Ki in his fingers, preparing for a Death Beam.
"I'll be doing a lot more than kicking." , he growls, eyes narrowed.
While not everyone shares the sentiment, alongside Scourge and Perfect Cell there's also Darkness, Varik, the High Priest of Darkness, Pride, Specter Knight, Liza, Ken, Louis, Cyber, Hub, Mara, Mewtwo, Sothis, Copy Robot, Indigo, Scraptrap, Invidia, Flowey, Green Jr, Obese and Shadowman who all look ready to kick Bluster Kong's ass.
"Uh... I, eh... quickly, give me more of the serum!", Bluster Kong calls out to the TV-Headed Man, who now looks in his direction, smiles and shrugs.
"Unfortunately I must give you a scare."
"What... wait, are you out of serum!?"
"No friend, but you are out of hair~" , the TV-Headed Man chuckles. Bluster slowly raises his hand to pat his head and realizes, to his horror, that all of his hair has indeed burnt away. He shrieks comically, then looks back at everyone else.
"... p... perhaps we can... settle this like gentlemen? With a formal apology?"
Doesn't seem like a very likely outcome judging by the way most of the people are looking at him right now. The TV-Headed Man puts one hand horizontally on a vertically posed other though, calling for a time-out.
"Friends, friends, before we start bashing and trashing, allow me to share a truth most abashing. To hear it may be sappy, but in truth, he did this to make you all happy~"
That odd claim at least gives them enough pause to not try to murder Bluster on the spot.

In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.Kashimo's about to whack Corrin in the skull for the third time, definitely knocking him out and advancing on Kenjaku's mysterious agenda. It isn't something that he look pleased by. Not because he's hurting someone, but because what had seemed to be an occasion to have a fun fight with a foe so potent as to be considered a worthy vessel for the King of Curses...
... Was more akin to putting down a sickly dog. The owlman could have done this. Crocodile could have done this. Why had Kashimo been chosen to fight this weakling head-on? He didn't want to waste his time with those.
As Mark comes at him, Kashimo initially glance at him in boredom but then smile when he sees who's actually charging him at him. Raising his staff in front of him, and raising his right leg to place his knee against it, he's still agreeably surprised when the ground is wrecked at his feet, with Kashimo himself being flung back a good distance, being sent flying through a wall into the next restaurant over, and preventing him from being flung into more buildings by stabbing his staff into the ground to slow his flight.
When the lower half of said staff snaps from the street of withstanding Mark, Kashimo laughs, staring at his broken weapon amusedly.
I guess you've got much more of a bite! Kashimo dusts himself off and glance at a nearby table, with the abandoned cutlery left in there. Whistling, he advances to the table, still staring at Mark. This buy Corrin time to get up, recognizing a familiarity that he's a bit too concussed to acknowledge right now.
Corrin can heal - it's an useful ability. But as he does, and apparently without noticing, parts of his skin become like grey scales. Still, his brain stay rattled, and Corrin end up falling back to one knee after a little while. Thanks for the help, I'll be fine. But he's after me, we... Corrin groans, clutching his head. We're going to need to beat him down to stop him. He says, sounding horrified at what he's about to do.
He was about to say that they should do something worse, but he can recognize that they'd need to know who sent Kashimo.
Aghast at the thought of knocking out someone?! Ah! Kashimo approach the table, still clutching the remains of his broken staff. It's a good thing for you, then, that you won't be able to so much as lay a finger on me, princeling. Kashimo raises his right leg and let it rest against the edge of the table, streaming a portion of his Cursed Energy to skillfully apply it to the cutlery, salt, pepper, glasses etc on it.
Then, with a simple kick, he hurls the projectiles at the duo. While toughened by Cursed Energy, Corrin and Mark won't have trouble destroying the objects if they need : they'll just hurt to be hit by.
But there's more to it as well : spinning to the left off the momentum of his kick, Kashimo proceeds to jump slightly in the air, hurling his staff at Mark and Corrin with more Cursed Energy to enhance it. He aims it at the plates specifically, the staff's higher cursed energy infusion allowing it to smash the plates and hurl the shattered remnants of it at Kashimo's enemies, pellets-style.
Lastly, Kashimo kick the table straight at Mark himself, once again with Cursed Energy to make it tougher along the way.
Corrin's answer to this, unless Mark acts first or separate himself, is to unfurl his wings and raise them as shields in front of them. Which block the projectiles fine, but doesn't block the staff, the weapon gnarily piercing through the "membrane" of one of Corrin's wings and impaling itself on the wall behind them.
Gak! Corrin reflexively step back, clutching his right shoulder in pain as the wings go back to his body. He's an easy target, but one that Kashimo ignores, slamming a new hole through the wall on Mark's right, while the latter is busy with the table. Moving to grab his head, he try driving it into the floor below with a brutal slam.
Around Crocodile, there's a pretty big water fountain in the middle of the plaza. And some tables might still have glasses of water on them. Either way, she has her options, and though Crocodile is set on fire, he's able to endure it.
Tsk! Trying to turn me to glass, huh? Quite the old trick! Crocodile is still distracted by it, which allow Nuue to try to blast him with her Blast Breath. Crocodile take the attack seriously enough to dodge it, jumping off the ground and turning his lower body into a sand vortex to keep floating. He could tell Nuue was annoying just off that. For Beruka and Lily were human and vulnerable to dehydration whereas Nuue was a freakish dragon that maybe had no water at all in her body.
He had been careful with taking on Corrin because a "Water Dragon" seemed like it'd be a pain in the ass to handle -although he had explained it differently to the crowd-. A... whatever that was-Dragon was less of a problem, but he did dislike taking on a foe he couldn't simply dehydrate away.
Desert La Spada! Crocodile turn up the heat himself, raising his right hand and throwing it forward - separating it into a mass of enormous sand axes, so pressed together as to be sturdier and sharper than they looked. Each of them are roughly as big as Nuue's fell-form.
And one of them is falling towards the fountain : Crocodile's way of removing a key weakness early on.
Pst. Assuming no one intervenes, Beruka bend her knees and jump over the fountain, bringing her Vallite Axe overhead to swing it at the La Spada heading for it. She's able to successfully dissipate it with her attack, her watery axe smashing through sand it instantly make more brittle and fragile, preserving the fountain from immediate harm.
If someone intervenes, Beruka decides to immediately throw her axe at the source of the La Spada. Despite the Vallite Axe's size and weight, her newfound strength and skill allow her to throw it like a boomerang. Not expecting such a throw, Crocodile feel a sharp pain on his fleshy arm, and a sense of coldness, like dipping his hand in water. He reflexively pull his arm back, holding unto it to see that his sleeve is now wet.
But yet, untarnished. Not a mark on his skin or clothes.
Beruka herself smiles after her manoeuver, but another big sand axe has the time to crash upon her, slamming her into the ground, with some smoke to conceal her fate.
Jason is tracking Owlman. And he won't need to wait on for too long to find him down the hall, running towards him, having already suited-up with his cape and helmet. If his reflexes are too sharp, he'll be tempted to simply shoot him. But if he pull back, he'll quickly see that Owlman is running in an uncoordinated manner, screaming in shock and fear. And really, just the fact that he's screaming is kinda telling.
If Jason hold back, he'll see that "Owlman" is actually just a man. But not one that's running at Jason because he happens to be stupid : if Jason stops him physically or by tripping him, the poor lad, face unknown beneath his owl helmet - a faithful, if likely still cheap recreation of Owlman's outfit - immediately try breaking free to keep running.
Help me - Bomb! He stammers out, a loud beep being heard. On his back, concealed by the cape to force Jason to waste further time, is a small explosive, tied to the man's back by crude but efficient tape. 5 seconds until detonation.
Walking out of the hotel is the real Owlman, clutching a blonde woman by the neck with one arm -and holding her in front of him-, holding a fucking owl-shaped gun of all things in the other arm. The target was a Manakete - a dragon. So Owlman had prepared himself adequately for Kashimo's probable failure. Wrymslayer bullets. Acquired through simple multiversal traveling, adequately shaped and tinkered with until he could make actual bullets out of it, even if they were brittle.
Brittle enough that they'd shatter on impact, entering the victim's innards like a ballistic jigsaw puzzle. A pleasant result for Owlman.
Aiming at Nuue, he fire about six bullets at her, intending to pierce her flesh. The exact spot didn't matter - the pain would turn her a liability to start with, and the substance was akin to poison to start with. So he aimed for her body in general, preferring center-mass. The woman screams with each shot, to Owlman's muted annoyance.
Please don't be afraid. You were only one amongst so many yous. He whispers to the lady. Raising his rev-owl-ver overhead, he proceed to lightly jerk his hand to the side to make the cylinder jut out to the side, letting the smoking-hot cartdriges fall to his feet, clattering around the ground. He then lower the weapon to his hip and slam the barrel against a certain part of his utility belt, opening up a specific compartment slightly.
From his belt, more Wrymslayer ammo falls into the cylinder of his barrel one at a time, with Owlman spinning the cylinder to make each one fall into the proper chamber each time. Once done, he simply bring up the gun again and slam the cylinder this time, closing the compartment and fully reloading the revolver by way of putting the chambers back in place.
As for Kenjaku, he jumps above a sewer grate and simply try to fall his way through it with a simple kick, grabbing his apron and work uniform to avoid dirtying them upon making contact with the dirty water below.

Arlina feels a momentary disorientation before she gathers her bearings, Looking up at the sky.
"Doesn't last, huh. Well..."
She grabs Sarah off the ground, hefting her over one shoulder.
"...sorry, Sarah. We knew only one of us was coming out of this fight victorious."
She takes off through the portal, using her two seconds of invulnerability to set Sarah down somewhere safe before returning to...
Church - Battle Royale
Arlina looks down at the people fighting amongst themselves and decides to wait until someone attacks her instead. She takes a meditative stance, boosting her mana recovery... as long as she doesn't have to actually move.
Also, that's... a lot of lava. And radiatio- hey wait a minute.
While Arlina can't absorb straight-up energy like others can, she does have radiation-induced healing she picked up from who-knows-where. Which is convenient, seeing as the entire place is currently being bathed in it. As for the lava...
Sploosh
...she's made some into a literal bath using telekinesis. This is supposed to be a fight, Arlina, and you're just...
...taking a lava bath. Okay?
Centralis - Luster
oh hey it's ove-
SMACK
The houseplant is cut off mid sentence by Yharon smacking him. He blinks as he takes damage (the invulnerability blinking, not the eye blinking) before taking off and having an epic battle with the Phoenix Dragon that will not be described here.
For now, though, everyone gets to hear this overhead.
Centralis - Market
"-woah!"
Upon seeing the giant axes headed her way (and sensing Owlman's approach) Nuue reverts to her Manakete form. This means most of the bullets do end up missing...
...but one strikes her body, and she howls in pain, the bullets being made of materials to slay dragons having much the same effect on her as they would anything else draconic. She can feel it- eating away, withering her flesh.
Pain.
It's something Nuue hadn't felt in a while. And something she hated feeling- this withering reminded her of something else.
The very thought of which is enough to make her howl in rage, a black aura exploding from her to force the shards out of her flesh, but with a side effect-
For the next three turns, Nuue can only target her most recent attacker.
"YOOOOOOUUUUUU!!!"
Despite being in her smaller Manakete form, Nuue's yell still sounds like a roar as she charges for Owlman, her fingers elongated into fangs. She doesn't exactly care if there's a hostage in the way, as she'd claw right through them to get to her intended target.
Nuue's back still has a clear hole from where the bullet entered her. Her aura of rage didn't heal the damage, just expel the shards.

cool o neat! I don't know if Fighter understands the concept of a 'kill-steal' because he gives Liana a cheerful thumbs-up for scoring an epic win against that guy. Well, thumbs-somedirection given that he's busy using those hands to hold swords, but. Y'know.

The houseplant pulls out a supercharged Gravity Gun
and simply tries to punt Luster off. It then summons Heavy TF2...
...which instead of attacking Luster like the houseplant intended, instead joins in on the dancing, though it's more like someone's throwing a ragdoll around.
dammit
It then pulls out a odd-looking egg
◊ and simply holds it up.
Wait, why is there boss music?
It's Yharon, who isn't affected by Luster by virtue of just being lines of code on an attack pattern rather than anything sentient.
get his ass
underneath the christmas-themed vanity the houseplant is wearing, they have a full set of Auric Tesla armor
◊ (with the rouge helmet) on. Along with some other accessories, they basically have the lowest aggro rate of anyone here. And with Luster's charm, he has the highest aggro rate of anyone here.
So naturally, Yharon does his first subphase attack. 2 charges, a line of fire orbs, another dash, a loud-ass roar, and then an even faster charge...
...and then a big-ass fire tornado. Do I need to mention this is all aimed at Luster?
