Tilra and Sarah
Tilra is pleased by Sarah's very punch-focused sentiment. She gets it, even if she doesn't personally like punching things very much.
.Be cautious. .But, also, I like the enthusiasm.
She smiles, even if it is only a little.
".Moebius is the enemy of the world." .That is something Angel told me, once. .I don't know exactly what it means, but I think it means you're on the right track.
She pauses.
.If you find a Moebius E, be extra careful. .She is the one I ran into. ."The world's only real human", is what she called herself. Aside from "E", I mean.
Yatta!M8R1
The cheer boost definitely helps Decidueye here, but it's not enough to power through the Pollen Puff-Aerial Ace struggle and he hits the ground, hard enough to be dazed for a moment.
And oh, things are about to get so much worse! Florence already feels the atmosphere of the situation before Peeb even attacks.
"Decidueye, get up and try to do-", he begins, but then pauses when he finally realizes what's been going on. The covered battlefield, the remaining arrows...
"Dodge, fast!", he calls out, even though he knows it's as good as futile. Decidueye does manage to get back up, just in time to get pelted by the storm of petals.
To Florence's credit, however, he doesn't give up even though the situation seems fruitless. He's defiant to the end, and so is Decidueye. And they see only one potential way out of this.
Florence goes for another cheer to bring the Sync Gauge to its max. And then...
"Sync Move!"
As its own arrows get redirected at it, Hisuian Decidueye's Sync Move activates. It goes for Infinite Variance Triple Arrows as it gets struck by the arrows, but powers through them. The Sticky Glob gets shredded as Hisuian Decidueye charges through the storm to reach Peeb, aiming to land the initial kick and follow it up with three simultaneous arrows. Due to Peeb having been hit by a prior Triple Arrows, its one defense drop boosts the power of the Sync Move.
However, despite the power of this move and despite the defense drop, Peeb had only taken damage twice so far, each from Aerial Ace. It's entirely possible that it can tank this Sync Move, and if it can...
... well, if it can, Decidueye will be vulnerable as its damage begins to catch up to it. If Peeb gets through the onslaught, victory will be guaranteed.
Ken
"See ya, dragon man.", Ken says.
"... oh, wait a moment!"
If Corrin turns to look, he'll find his spare change floating over to him.
"I ain't letting this place rob you too after you helped me out.", he says with a matter-of-fact tone. "Also, this makes us even."
He tucks his cap a bit more over his face as he grins and walks out of the store.
"Catch you on the flipside.", he says to Corrin before leaving.
In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.Corrin blinks and smile as he gets his spare change. Thanks a lot! Huh...
He doesn't get what Ken means but shrugs. He guess it's just a slang for kids in his world. See you on the flipside too? He tucks his "own" invisible cap and leaves, chuckling a little at his gesture. Also finding this funny is Mahito, who's keeping track of Corrin's departure and discarding his uniform.
See ya on the flipside, Corrin. With that, Mahito crawls off into the darkness, being off to do... spoopy things until then.
...
Hehe, thanks! She says, smashing her fists together. She was already glad about this fight: now all that was left to do was training intently to prepare for a threat she might take off later.
She'd need to talk to Thor, too.
... Are they all narcissists or...? She raises an eyebrow, snorting at Tilra's description of E. But she does harden her face to show her that she's taking E seriously.
I'll be watching out.

Decidueye has put up a good fight, fought well alongside Florence, and put a dent in the might of what just might be the single most powerful regular Lilligant ever.
So, is this the end?
Far from it, actually.
As the storm of petals subsides, Peeb readies for the next turn of Petal Dance, but she's a little tired from the last time. Just as with before, Peeb uses her superior speed to dodge Decidueye's first kick, kiting him by, unintuitively, staying as close as she can, weaving around the kick.
Then, with the arrows, Peeb tries what's worked before. Delicately, she redirects the first arrow, and then...
Fails, at the second. It's a Sync Move, much quicker and more powerful than with before. Her expectations have been set, and then, subverted- and so, she takes the second arrow. A glancing blow that staggers her, allowing the third to strike true.
Shame that it isn't enough.
From the beginning, Decidueye's greatest advantage has been his method of damage. Peeb's physical defense is lacking, and Decidueye has both power and the ability to decrease that lacking defense even further. A nasty combination, ripe for exploiting.
But Peeb has taken every step to keep that weakness from hitting her too hard. Florence and Decidueye's sync move, striking her so directly, would take down just about any other Lilligant.
But Peeb is near full health from Andi's cheer. And if any Lilligant could do it...
Well, it'd be Peeb.
It's unclear, how close exactly Peeb is left to being KO'd, but she pulls it around and, once again, Petal Dances all over the place.
(It's not like she has a choice, given how Petal Dance works)
Tilra and Sarah
Tilra lifts her shoulders in a very slight shrug, still standing up very straight and looking down at Sarah.
.She seemed upset about it actually. .I have no idea why.
She blinks. A sparkle of stardust falls from her eye, which she catches. She squints at the mote of light inquisitively, before shaking it off her hand.
.I am going to see Angel. .If you'd like to come with me, we'll probably discuss this problem more. .If I can find her. .That may be hard.
Yatta!Sarah think about the time she has available and how hard it could be to find someone like Angel when she doesn't want to be found. But, hey, she looks like she needs some help. And she could always ask for a rematch down the line to start her training.
After all, for Sarah, what better sparring trainer was there than someone whom she wasn't going to surpass anytime soon, if at all?
Yeap! I'd love to help. She says, snapping her fingers. I'm not sure how much I can help but I've got some really sharp senses!

"...where am I?"
All Artemis remembered was casting her Black Sun Beacon... and promptly passing out. That took 15% of her mana at full capacity, and her max was... 10%, currently.
"...you passed out again, Main."
Another Artemis shell seems to be floating in this void. Stitch patterns across their pale skin alongside their white hair made them look even less alive than most of the shells. They're wearing a pair of rounded glasses that frames their eyes- one red, one blue.
"...Curse. You're here too, huh."
Curse!Artemis chuckles slightly before grinning. She upturns her arms in a little shrug before sticking her tongue out slightly.
"Nah. You're obviously hallucinating. Totally."
Main!Artemis lets out a small sigh before slowly shaking her head, slowly floating about this void. She looks down at the last System log she received.
Party Leader [Artemis] has fallen unconscious from mana exhaustion.
Ah. That'd explain it.
She looks over at Curse!Artemis with a small sigh. Again.
"So what do you want..?"
Curse!Artemis smiles slightly before outstretching her arms. One turns into a wing that she clearly copied from observing someone.
"Oh, nothing... Just wondering if you had a fight with my kind recently."
Main!Artemis sighs. She had molded Curse!Artemis to be able to copy techniques via World Barrier. If anything, it'd explain the slight change in look.
"...yeah. I did have a fight with a Cursed Spirit recently."
She doesn't explain further, simply trailing off and allowing Curse!Artemis to pout at the lack of explanation.
"Oh, come oooon... don't trail off like that! I want to know who... I never got to know my world after all."
Curse!Artemis idly prods at Main's cheek like an annoying younger sibling, to which Main glares.
"If you don't know your world you won't know the spirit, dummy."
Curse pouts at this before turning around with a small 'hmph' sound.
"You're no fun, Main."
"I'm not supposed to be fun."
They stare at each other for a moment before Curse tilts her head, as if thinking.
"...hey, if this is soul manipulation... do you think it can restore the shards you left in the other shells?"
Main places her hand on her chin in thought before shrugging.
"Worth a shot."
Curse places her hand on Main's shoulder, tapping into the collective mind of the Artemis shells to draw more Cursed Energy. It takes a lot of energy, but Artemis's soul slowly mends from its fractured, 10% state. Having received more mana, Main jolts back awake.
She's laying near that crater she made earlier. Curse is there too, having easily managed to track Main down. When they finally run out of energy...
Party Leader [Artemis] has recovered from unconsciousness. Additionally, [Artemis] has lowered their [Soul Fracture (90)] to [Soul Fracture (50)].
This was broadcast to the party. Then, something only Artemis can see.
Mana has been restored to a 50% maximum. Some skills have been strengthened. [Mana Strain] has been removed. Stamina has been restored to a 50% maximum. [Stamina Strain] has been removed.
She still laid there. She had a bit before she felt like getting up. Curse had disappeared again anyway.
aeiou: the secondLuckily, Altzaira was not expecting an attack from a different angle, and the impact of Baiken's flail is actually enough to make the ancient dragon lose her footing and fall to the ground. She spins towards the source with an angry snarl... only to see a monstrous pillar of lightning erupt at the location where she was standing just milliseconds ago, deep-frying Baiken through her weapon.
"To think a mortal would dare to take upon herself the full brunt of a blow meant for a dragon..." she grunts. "Brave, if reckless. I must admit, I am impressed."
She hasn't realized yet that Baiken is about to go berserk, so instead she focuses on piling up damage on Gaismagorm while she can. "Fools and braves, knights and knaves. May your weapons, once turned against me, find a new resting place in the flesh of my foe. Field of Fallen Blades."
An overwhelming red aura surrounds Altzaira before surging into the skies and detonating there, raining down constructs of blood-red energy in the shape of various weapons - swords, spears, morning stars, arrows - upon the battlefield. They are angled in an attempt to avoid hitting allies, but Gorm is so massive that, even with teleportation-like speed, avoiding this barrage in its entirety seems unrealistic.
M8R1
Sync Move now completed, Decidueye's returns to its battle stance. It's still eager to keep going, at least for as long as it still can. Which, given its low HP, isn't gonna be much.
Florence realizes this as well, and they know that dodging isn't gonna be very feasible given that the battlefield is still a big petal storm. As such they decide go for one final attempt.
"Break through with Aerial Ace!"
Decidueye braces itself before launching itself towards Peeb, going headfirst into the Petal Dance with the intent to strike true...
...
But everyone has their limits, and Decidueye has reached its. It stops and drops mere inches in front of Peeb and collapses, having the traditional 'fainted spiral eyes' on its face.
"... ah, man. Thought we'd last longer than one round.", Florence says, a little bummed for a moment as he's never really lost a trainer battle before. But it's not something that bothers him too much, and he recalls Decidueye.
"You did good.", he says to its Poke Ball before pocketing it again. Now, while approaching trainers for a handshake after a battle isn't a custom yet in Florence's time period, he saw it getting done here a few times, so he figures it's a sign of respect. As such he approaches Andi with the offer for a handshake.
"That was incredible, I've never seen anyone fight as creatively as you have!", he says, looking and sounding genuinely impressed.

"You did well. I'm impressed."
Still not actually talking- lets hope Florence understands sign language- Andi congratulates Florence despite herself being the winner here.
"So did poor Decidueye. But that's alright, as long as you're both learning."
She holds out a hand for him to shake. From over where she is, Peeb walks to Andi's side, arms crossed.
Is she mad about almost losing, or...?
Andi lowers her arm before Florence can shake her hand, and gives Peeb her attention instead.
"Sorry. I thought you were doing better."
She scoops up Peeb in a hug, awkwardly extending her arm in a manner that could still allow Florence to shake her hand if he wanted to.
Yatta!Sarah raises a slight eyebrow but start walking along. If what Tilra said meant anything, it's that going to Hub Centralis fast wasn't the "goal".
So she just start walking by her.
Hub Centralis. It's a bit like latin slapped together but it gets the meaning across, I think. It's... kinda big. Has to be to house that many people. There's a church that could house a town in it probably just for scale. It gets quieter around the suburbs but I'd say it's a bit bigger than the average metropolis on my planet. And they can be huge.
Sarah blinks, taking in the sight.
So from one to ten in terms of strength, where'd you put me? She asks, with a coy smile, blinking twice behind her glasses.

He kinda doesn't, because sign language isn't really a thing yet in his time period. Thankfully his Arc Phone, after beeping to let Florence know he should look, translates what she's trying to tell him.
"Thanks!", he says.
Florence goes in for the handshake, but then comes the Peeb interjection. He's briefly confused, then a little amused that Peeb seems to want attention from Andi too. So, even if it's a little awkward, he still shakes Andi's hand as she's hugging Peeb and chuckles a little.
"I'll be sticking around till the end, I wanna see who ends up winning. And, as you said, maybe I'll learn more new stuff from it. Good luck in the next rounds!"
With that he returns back to the stands, letting Decidueye back out of its ball so that it can sit and rest in a chair.
"What do you say we cheer for them next round?", Florence asks as he hands it some berries to eat. Decidueye doesn't hesitate before nodding and chomping down on said berries.

However, before its mindless approach can bear fruits -or spell its doom-, it back off and jump back.
Did you know that these are... reflections of the soul? Formless entities given form and purposes by the whims and beliefs of men? Sukuna says, as Ongyo-Ki roars and throws its polearm back. It starts to get surrounded by Cursed Energy.
I think it's pathetic. And Ongyo-Ki throws its whole body forward as it fires several Dismantles at William, swinging the polearm once but cheating nonetheless by tossing several air blades at him. Individually, they might not be able to hurt him if his defense is up to par, but they can still affect him. And what's more: they do carve out a decent chunk of the forest below.
It's like Myriad Slashes but it only digs into Sukuna's cursed energy instead of his own health.
Heh. Sukuna still hang back as Ongyo-Ki charges at William. It charges forward for a stab but aim to barely miss, meaning to let William dodge in any way or try to block. And if William isn't slow enough, Ongyo-Ki will pull back its polearm. Which ends, in both sides, with a crescent-shaped blade meant for decapitation.

Onyxis - Icy Wastes
Few things were as reminiscent of home as Onyxis for Filia
. A cold wind billowed through the region, testing the hardiness of what plant life could survive the vast tundra. A flat plane amidst an icy lake covered in several inches of snow is where Filia stands, facing a massive frozen pillar with a single fist clenched. Her robes billowed in the wind, the icy chill unbothersome for her bare skin. Taking a deep breath, Filia grits her teeth and rockets her fist forward at the pillar.
With a thunderous boom, the pillar cracks into innumerable chunks, a sumptuous shockwave of sound screaming across the region. Filia breathes out as the chunks swiftly fall, picking up momentum until she yanks her fist back. Opening her palm, the boulders of ice stopped falling. Chunks of ice levitate in the air for a few moments before flying back to their previous positions, recombining to reform the cracked pillar. Stepping forward, Filia places her open palm on the pillar, causing a cascading repair of the cracks, restoring its structural integrity.
Clenching her fist, Filia takes a deep breath, preparing to do the same thing again. It appears to be some exercise.

Murkwater
From within the walls of Murkwater stood one particular soul. One from ages past, its old body long reduced to cursed relics, meant to parasite a body to reincarnate into the modern age. An old evil from the Edo era, in search for a fight, eager to find one within the "Arena". Yet, to Hajime Kashimo's dismay, he had yet to find a foe who could satisfy his thirst for battle, even in a realm such as this.
Even the premise of fending off an army couldn't satisfy the sorcerer. He'd done that often, hadn't he? Legions of weak men would band together, that their combined weakness might imitate strength, and he'd defeated them all easily nonetheless. But this particular army was apparently quite unstoppable. Enough to pique his interest.
The youth hanged back from now, refusing to bond or socialize with his lesser. He'd simply hanged back with his staff, with his staff tucked behind his neck and resting on his shoulders. The way they were readying themselves, none of these soldiers, or their leader, were expecting to make it out alive. Or were expecting a costly victory.
Kashimo didn't care either way. And as the army bore down upon the fortress, he waited until the last moment, until their claws were pressing upon the cold stone, to jump in.
The god of lightning simply jumped off his spot on the battlements and jumped directly into the horde, staff at the ready, electric Cursed Energy flaring around him. While any Sorcerer had that energy to them, Kashimo's was particular, akin to lightning. And while he couldn't unleash it in great bolts with his bare hands, or manipulate it with the skills of one Sarah Tripadora, his subsequent lightning shockwave as he intended to crush demon skulls beneath his boots was quite powerful.
But restrained enough to shoot outwards in half a circle, meant to let the fortress stand.
Kashimo wanted to enjoy this himself.
I'll tear my way to the strongest amongst you, hahahahaha! With speed and strength expected of a man who had dedicated his life to supernatural fighting, Kashimo attempts to charge through the demonic creatures, looking to punch or tears big holes or gashes in their body with his blow. Since he was surrounded, he meant every hit to be as devastating as possible, the air snapping with his every punch, kick or swing from his staff.

Icy Wastes — Onyxis
Drip, drip.
An oddity—from above Filia, something drips down. First onto her shoulder, then to the top of her head and the ice around her feet with increasing regularity. A glance at the liquid will reveal a dark crimson fluid, unmistakable in color and consistency. It no longer drips and instead dribbles down in an inconsistent stream. A puddle forms at the Lucifer’s feet. Should her eyes lift to the sky, the source of the blood would make no effort to mask himself.
Crouching on seemingly nothing but a mass of liquid darkness, levitating about her, was a blackened figure with deep crimson eyes glaring back at her. This thing dissipated into a torrential downpour of velvet, spattering onto the snow some few feet away. The puddle reflects the cloudless sky above but there is something else in the reflection—a grotesque hand that reaches, reaches, ‘’reaches'' before breaking the surface from beneath.
Out of this bloody pond crawls some sort of creature, a mere five and a half feet in stature but this may also be due to how hunched it stood as its nauseating form drew forth from the liquid. The thing was purple in color, like the skin of a strangled man. Covering the majority of its form was an odd armor, stark red and visibly thick with ridges running all across it. Oddly, its surface seemed to writhe, tiny fingers stretching out from its almost liquid-in-texture surface before being plunged back into the armor. Only his hands, clawed fingers stretched out further than what could be considered natural, and head, misshapen and twisted to the point of resembling a bat’s head, were unprotected by this armor.
A series of clicks and almost giggle-like hisses escaped the humanoid’s twisted lips before at last it spoke with surprising clarity.
"Filia…" He smiled. "I am KAIN. "I’ve been watching you, Filia…Hunting."

Coral Highlands — Intrigue
A massive terrestrial coral reef
stretched on for miles. Cold winds powerful enough to knock over the average human blew harshly on account of the region’s height and the massive amount of wind tunnels. The terrain here was stark, almost blindingly white, with the sun’s powerful glare bouncing off the coral plates. On the surface,
strange floral growths littered the locale. Overhead flew pterosaur-like creatures, pale in coloration and with sensory organs that flowed from their head behind them.
Monstrous tracks, imprinted in the dust, led through the winding passages and pathways of the location and into a small crevice between a rock and a particularly sturdy-looking coral. Within this crevice was a strangely fluffy
creature terrorizing a small but armored Lizardman Skink,
the latter hopelessly batting at the thirty-foot wyvern with his stone staff while spitting vile obscenities at it.
