Resolution Goddess Sealed in a Disk (Beach)
Kikuri turned to face the rising Murasa.
While the goddess had never encountered Murasa previously, something about her seemed familiar as well.
Long ago, Kikuri had spoken with Byakuren a handful of times, back when the goddess would travel between different places - Makai, Jigoku, and Yomi were her usual "stomping grounds" so to say, but she'd show up almost anywhere if she needed to - in search of those needing her assistance.
"Hm... I can't say we have, but I've got the same feeling."
Walter's Bar
A strange, fully black drawing-like portal suddenly opens up right next to Eddie. Out of it pops a strange face. ... or actually, it would be more accurate to say that it's someone without a face, as there's just a smaller version of that hole where his face should be.
He looks around, turning his head left and right, then tilts his head as if confused.
"... oh, wow, okay, I think I took a wrong turn somewhere, I do not recognize this place one bit."
He then looks at Eddie.
"Hey pal, can you help me out for a moment? Are there any Spider-Men in this place?"
In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.Oca decides to take a reactive course of action, touching down to the ground of the temple and awaiting Eddle's next move. If it were him in that situation getting knocked out of sight, he'd be up to some bullshit too.
"..."
Okay, he figures something's up when her power signature suddenly splits and flanks his position.
... Aaaand he smirks when he figures out her game before she can even put it into play. It might have worked if she hadn't lowered her own power level - a critical change that he picked up on letting him differentiate her energy from the decoys.
"...."
And takes the Double Flickering Flower head on, having whipped around at the last possible moment and charged straight on through it - taking no small amount of damage in the process.
"TIMES FIFTY!"
Hopefully, the recoil of firing off a super attack like that keeps Edelgard unable to react long enough for Oca to land this sonic speed Shoryuken!
/\。。/\Eddie nearly falls out of his seat when the strange newcomer suddenly pops into the bar via portal. He looks down at the drink in his hand before setting it aside.
"I think I might've had a little too much of these."
His gaze flickers to the new arrival.
"Honestly, pal, I've been wondering that ever since me and my friend wound up here."
Cue Venom emerging from his shoulder.
"You'd think it would be easy to find at least one Spider-Man swinging around this place," the symbiote chimes in.
Edited by IchigoMontoya on Sep 27th 2023 at 9:43:18 AM
"Oh, you know him too?", the guy asks, now letting his arms rest on the side of the portal as he sees Venom.
"Whoa, kinda funky. Kinda reminds me of Spider-Man to be honest. Are you Spider-Man?"
He sounds so strangely casual as he talks, as if he isn't just hanging out of a dimensional portal.
In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay."He knows that guy, actually," Eddie replies, pointing to Venom with his thumb. "Y'know, I was actually gonna see about finding this Spider-Man before we kinda got sent here instead. Name's Eddie, by the way. Eddie Brock."
Venom shakes his head, smiling an amused little smile at the newcomer's question.
"Oh, no. I... am Venom, the Lethal Protector," he says. "So, who exactly are you? The Dot? Rorschach?"
"I think that last one's already taken, buddy," Eddie remarks.
Edited by IchigoMontoya on Jun 22nd 2023 at 8:27:28 AM
"Close. I'm The Spot. No idea what a Rorschach is.", he says while pointing at himself.
"Well, guess I gotta keep an eye on this place then. I've got some BIG stuff to get back to, but when that's done I'll probably wanna pay a visit to this place again if it really has a Spider-Man. Anyhow, see you."
He goes back into his portal. Walter, who was standing next to the portal from the other side of the bar, just blinks. He takes a bite out of a bagel he's holding...
And then The Spot re-emerges again solely to slap it out of Walter's hand.
"What in-"
"Bagels suck, kid."
And then he's gone again. This time the portal closes. Walter looks flabbergasted, then wordlessly goes back to cleaning the counter.

In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.Uh oh.
Other!Edelgard did not really expect Oca to have a refined enough energy sense to pinpoint her among her decoys, and she pays a hefty toll for that. Oca's Sure You Can and her own Flickering Flower together effectively pulverize the central platform of the water temple- though much of it remains floating and scattered about.
Dodging Oca's attack is fully out of the question with how hard she committed to Double Flickering Flower- so she takes it on the chin, and is sent absolutely fuckin flying for it, smashing right through one of the Water Temple's outer sections and into the open sky.
...And she falls.
Ah shit
She uh. Didn't take that very well.
It takes her a concerning bit of time, but after a pause, she manages to manifest a platform beneath her- one made from dark magic.
There, she stands back up, and activates Kaioken x40.
...She doesn't shout it out, though. Oca definitely broke something(s) with the Funny Uppercut.
Yatta! He takes a second on a floating chunk of ground to breathe. Whoof! His blue Kaioken aura fades to a simmer as he collects himself after that high-commit attack.
His eyebrow raises when he sees her do Magick.
"Hm? You got weird bullshit too, huh?"
She probably didn't hear that.
Oca dispels the Kaioken aura, and with a shout turns ominous . By which I mean, he's activated the Pseudo Super Saiyan
form.
At this point, Other!Edelgard assumes that Oca's got her beat in power somewhere. She could try and outsmart him, but something tells her that wouldn't quite work.
So, she comes up with a third plan, disregarding brute force as well. This new plan is, frankly, very simple, and a little stupid.
She stills her trembling, focuses, and charges Oca head on, flipping around moments before impact to deliver a two-leg kick like a ki-guided kinetic missile, hoping to catch him with the misdirect.
Can't help being a little tricky- but her real plan has yet to be implemented.
It all rides on what Oca does next.
(For the record, her plan is to stick uncomfortably close and beat him with the power of martial arts. Which sounds stupid on paper and may be stupid in practice, but whatever.)

Yatta!Pantheon
Ms. Grey flies over the boss (I never got right their name, sorry), and shots sugar floss from her fingers to trap them, as if she were a Spider-person.
Annihilation Aftermath
Altough Susana and Paty tried to stop those men to steal Luin's monsters, they couldn't do it.
I have hopes all will going well soon. If you want, we could help you to track those men.
But while Susana was proposing her idea to Luin, Paty found something among the rubble of the marketplace...
... It's Tatiana...
...or whatever left of her.
Both girls flew to a solitary place to give her sepulture. Probably the Arena will revive her, but meanwhile she will rest in peace.
Hyrule Fields
Upon seeing Laxin, both Maxi and Lulú walked one step toward him.
Darth Laxin! Do you remember us?
What business do you have in this place?
Three freaking ghosts!FUCK YEAH HEAD ON CLASH WOOOH - oh
Upside! He had pumped himself up with the Kaioken yet again, bringing his total up to x50.
Downside! He got kicked in the fuckin' face by someone who is STILL like a quarter stronger than him (i used a calculator). He's blown back hard before catching himself.
"... Mleh."
o shit blood??
Upside two! - this form of FSSJ comes with minor damage regen. As Edelgard watches, the damage accumulated throughout the fight starts to stitch itself back together. Not quickly by any means, as he's taken some reckless big damage, but it's still helping offset the attrition.
He starts priming a buildup of energy.
/\。。/\Other!Edelgard, rather than just watch as the guy soars away from her due to the knockback of her kick, continues to fly to keep up, practically staying in spitting distance the entire time.
So, when he finally stops getting blown away, Other!Edelgard is basically already attacking him again, which on one hand does stop her from realizing he's regenerating, but on the other hand she's already trying to punch him in the face again so-
If her first strike hits, she'll follow up with another- and another, and another, and you get the picture- she'll keep on punching the guy until he helpfully provides a reason to stop.
And this is not just a mindless rushdown, either. She's targeting weak-points, trying to interrupt the flow of his Ki by targeting select portions of his body.
A difference in organic components isn't likely to avert this- though anything mechanical Oca might have could reduce the effects.
Yatta!aw geez ow fuck ow badda bing badda boom. Oca hunkers down, taking the hits for a few seconds.
Unfortunately, a lot of those weak points are hrm. How should I put this. Covered in fucking plate metal under his skin.
*ding*
... Oh, ki's ready!
kaboom
by which I mean, Other!Edelgard was definitely prepared for this, she just wasn't... prepared for this. Right before Oca goes boom, she tries to kick him away, firing a huge generic wave attack out in his direction to power through the Super Explosive Wave.
It... works, it just doesn't work as well as she might have hoped. Her generic wave attack isn't strong enough to pierce the explosion so Oca's fine aside from maybe getting kicked one more time, but Other!Edelgard was... well, really close. Even being prepared, that's got to have hurt.
Definitely not as bad as the last few hits she's taken, though. Firing a beam through the explosion protected her from the full force of the attack.
So, fight's back in neutral and both fighters have meter, you already know this is a delicate situation.
But this is a distance Other!Edelgard is used to working at.
She'd shout out the name of this attack, "Raging Storm," but. Mouth injury. So, instead, she just Performs it, aiming for Oca (who else).
The attack itself is sort of like Broly's Omega Blaster
- a tiny energy sphere that rapidly enlarges into a gigantic, devastating energy bomb- though this attack is quite a bit faster, and quite a bit less powerful in innate potency. Also it is orange.
This lower power is for a reason, though- a reason aside from the fact that throwing out a broly-level attack like a raw super is kind of unfeasible for a mere mortal.
The attack will not travel far beyond Oca, whether it hits him or not- instead, it will explode midair in an impressively constrained manner, at which point all of the excess energy of the attack not imparted upon Oca himself will... return to Other!Edelgard.
Effectively, giving her a massive refund on the otherwise extensive energy cost of this massive attack.
Edited by Whoma on Jun 22nd 2023 at 11:05:30 AM
Yatta!Oca cools down. It takes long enough that Raging Storm is locked on.
"..."
Ah yes well the problem with attacks that explode on impact is.
Uh.
Impact them early.
He unleashes a stream of energy from both hands ASAP, the waves crashing into the Raging Storm sphere. Presuming that the attack really is explosive-on-impact, I assume it will. Go off.
Otherwise, the beams will struggle against the attack and slow it down, but not enough to stop its advance.
Oh yeah it isn't explode on contact it's. More controlled than that. It'd explode upon missing or carrying along Oca because Other!Edelgard doesn't want it to soar away and hit someone but otherwise.
So yeah Ocer is kind of in for a struggle here. Other!Edelgard ups the ante by pushing on it with her energy, increasing the rate at which it overcomes Oca's push-back.
probably
Edited by Whoma on Jun 22nd 2023 at 11:22:33 AM
Yatta!Uh oh!!!
Other!Edelgard cannot handle this level of laseritude! She needs to come up with a plan, and quickly.
So she simply:
Absorbs the energy of Raging Storm, at a particular rate enough to allow her to just about barely manage to edge her way above Oca's beam just at it reaches her...
...Keeping ahold of the remaining energy of Raging Storm as she does, using it to scrape her way past his beam attack...
At which point she increases her Kaioken to x50, rushing past Oca's beam, injecting the remaining Raging Storm with energy just as she approaches him, and-
She Dunks the condensed remaining energy of Raging Storm right atop Oca's head. If her strike is true, the energy will explode on contact, giving Other!Edelgard a hefty hit of recoil and lighting up the sky with orange light.
Though, of course, Oca will be much worse off in that regard.
...Er, it shouldn't explode his head, at least.
Ah, yeah, and if she misses, she'll rush past him and re-absorb the energy, because this attack is kind of bullshit yes. Based on a true story. Google Edelgard Raging Storm Overpowered.
(don't actually do that I haven't tested it)
Yatta!o shit she's stronger again aurgh!!
Though
Good thing about having been used an only semi-defined stream of raw energy instead of a focused attacck
It's a lot less effort to disengage and react to this.
"WHAH"
He manages to avoid T H E D U N K with a haphazard dodge-lunge forwards, his beams sputtering out as he slams himself against the floor before managing to roll up into a kneeling position. also the distracc costs him the kaioken
Other!Edelgard powers down to Kaioken x40 after she misses.
Unfortunately, x50 is just not something she can sustain.
Still, refusing to succumb, Other!Edelgard continues- Raging Storm has done its job, and she persists with quite a bit of energy to spare- though she is still losing stamina to her injuries. And, y'know, the Kaioken, let's not forget about that.
Not wanting to give Oca a second to breathe, she rushes in and tries for an overhead, punching down to try and smack Oca into the ground.
And, if she can manage that, she'll follow it up with a Flickering Flower- a one-handed one this time.
...Uh, assuming the guy doesn't clock out there and then, of course.
Edited by Whoma on Jun 22nd 2023 at 11:56:31 AM
Yatta!Oh hey. Super Saiyan (the real thing).
Ok well it's Super Kaioken shut UP.
"Heh. You're really good."
/\。。/\aw shit.
Other!Edelgard pauses.
"You were holding out on me. I figured as such."
Her voice is low and distorted, like someone that's. Well, been punched in the mouth.
Other!Edelgard lets out a sigh.
"I yield," she says, though there is a tinge of bitterness behind it.
Not directed at Oca, though.
At that moment, she collapses, falling on her back.
...So, as it turns out, running Kaioken x40 continuously will DO THINGS to you if you're not like, a cyborg or whatever. She's well-adjusted, but not that well-adjusted.
She could have kept going for a little longer, but it would have been...
Enormously risky. Not worth it. Definitely not worth typing up at 3 in the morning.
"That's another loss."
Other!Edelgard takes some kind of weird. Medical patch thing, out of one of her pockets, and slaps that baby on her cheek. Her injuries begin to visibly repair, though not at any quick or easy pace.
"I have more, if you need one. I can't imagine why you would, though."
Yatta!

Hyrule Field
Angel!Pyra pauses, and raises her sword, the sum of Laxin's force lightning threatening her specifically absorbing into the weapon, briefly charging the blade with dark lightning.
She discards that power. Nothing good comes from wielding the dark side of the force.
Water Temple
"How strange!"
Other!Edelgard tries to jump over Oca's attack, but her over-caution leads her to hesitate, resulting in one of two beams striking her directly in the chest. Of course, she raises her arms to block, but the beam breaks through that defense with a bit of a struggle.
And, well, that shit hurds, sending her off the side of the temple, where she briefly plummets before organizing a half-baked plan that quickly turns into a full-baked plan as she considers it.
Despite being winded and most certainly injured and honestly probably missing a really awkward portion of her dress armor, Other!Edelgard flies beneath the center of the water temple, and then into it, releasing a scatter of ki decoys that do the same across the entire bottom of the huge central platform.
Other!Edelgard suppresses her energy signature, lowering the power she releases to less than her base- while the ki decoys remain just as powerful as they were.
To all forms of energy sense, Other!Edelgard and her decoys are now functionally indistinguishable.
So, with that advantage hopefully pressed, Other!Edelgard sends her decoys in along with herself. The decoys are only just above harmless on contact- but Other!Edelgard herself aims to sneak up behind him, power up as far as she can in such a small period of time (Kaioken x20), and deliver a-
"Double Flickering Flower!"
-at point-blank range, thus ensuring all ten ki blasts hit at the same time in the same place.
...
Of course, Oca can interrupt this process at any point along it if he has the tools. He just has to be prepared.
Cause if he goes in to interrupt her, Other!Edelgard will still use Double Flickering Flower on him, provided he gets close enough.
.
man that post was way too complicated for this why's other!edelgard have to be so stratergetic
Yatta!
