When everyone's done eating, Beerus stands up, leaving payment on the table, and walks to the door, where he turns around with his hands behind his back and watches Flandre.

Noodles

Flandre pays (a bit too much) and steps up to Beerus, twirling her pink parasol.

"So who are you exactly anyway?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Seemingly ignoring Flandre's question, Beerus steps outside (where the fight between Min Min and Saki Kurokoma has seemingly escalated to involve Nikaido, Tae Yamada, and ARMs), rises up on his tip toes and looks to the sky.

"The sun is rather harsh today, isn't it?"

He holds up a hand, palm out and fingers close together, pointing at the sun.

"Wouldn't you like it if it were gone?"

Flandre of course doesn't look at it, she'd burn after all, but she does sigh in annoyance.

"I suppose, it is rather bothersome for vampires like myself." she huffs. "Why do you ask?"

"Hakai."

A purple glow spreads from the core of the sun all the way out to its edges... and it bursts into sparks that rain down upon Hub Centralis, leaving a cool evening-esque breeze.

"Now, isn't that better?"

He turns around to face Flandre. "I'm Beerus, the God of Destruction. Pleased to meet you."

Meanwhile somewhere else

Okuu Black abruptly winces, before then looking confused for a moment.

"Huh, wonder what happened." she hums, somehow not noticing the sun being gone.

Hub Centralis

Flandre's eyes widened for a moment, though not from fear or anything. No, she looked more like a child who just saw the most delicious ice cream in the world.

"My, my. Impressive I admit." Flandre says, smirking in a way that shows off her prominent canines. She then tosses her parasol over to Daiakuma (who is panicking a little but catches it). "I always wondered if I could do that but sister said her plants need that to survive so never tried."

Not sure how much of that is boastful bs.

"I'm Flandre Scarlet." Flandre says, looking over at a nearby news helicopter and making a crushing gesture with her hands. It suddenly finds itself abruptly collapsing in on itself and effectively being deleted from the universe, not even a shred of debris left. Beerus might notice her rainbow colored wing crystals glow purple for the briefest moment when she does that. "Some call me the Devil of Destruction."

The vagrant — Starbird, he called himself — eventually follows Zeloai, glancing about as he enters the vehicle, although his focus seems to be lingering on the mechanisms within.

"Do the others have names?"

Mega-Paco when his electric attacks are heavily resisted (he was fighting a Donphan)

He noticed too late his electric attacks were doing nothing on Gedon, and when all you have is a hammer...

He fies upwards to avoid being hit by Gedor's swinging, and then he attempts to dive-punch her on her head!

Melia & Nia (and Aofushi's) apartment.

"...Is it just me, or did the sun just bloody disappear?"

Melia, interrupted from what she was doing (the laundry), takes a look out the window and, yep, the sun's gone. Weird.

"Hmm. Can you tell the reason?"

"If I knew, I'd already be looking into it."

Melia hums. "There is little to be done, then."

She calls the Sword of Origin into her hands.

"Until it returns, let us be on alert."

Nia gives an affirmative nod, summoning her Anima Sword.

...At which point, Melia resumes doing the laundry, Sword of Origin floating at her side (for lieu of a sheathe to place it in).

Life does not wait for disaster, and in the arena... there's a lot of disaster to go around.

Beerus makes a pog face at Flandre destroying the helicopter.

"You know, I had my suspicions... but that settles it. My appetite has been sated, but now I hunger for battle!"

He points at Flandre, welling up with a roiling purple Battle Aura. "You and I shall face off!"

Flandre smirks, though does stop to think for a moment.

"Hmm, what kind of fight? I'm fine with either a ritualized duel or a plain slugfest." she asks, though she still summons Laevateinn. "Either way I'd prefer elsewhere so my attendant doesn't get destroyed. I do like her company."

   "Ah! Thank you Lady Flandre!"    Daiakuma smiles before going back to looking nervous.    "A-and yes please."   

Zeloai laughs, not sure if Starbird is making a joke or not.

"Yes, they all have names. I'm sure they'd much rather introduce themselves, but there is Ben. A fellow Jedi, Joshua, who is something called a Spartan, and another Jedi named Nial. There's Warrick, a Mandalorian, and Terra, a keyblade wielder. "

He pauses for a moment.

"We'll also be having help from a reptilian man named Kroq-Gar and his army in our assault against the academy. There is Arad, a mercenary for hire, and the clone commandos. Sovereign, Silver, and Bogey."

Rattling off names isn't something Zeloai would normally do, but considering how paranoid Starbird seemed, he decided it may be best to oblige his request.

Beerus scoffs. "I'll be starting off small, but if you prove to impress, we'll ditch the rules and just throw down, sooner or later."

He clears his throat. "Whis! You're on collateral prevention."

A protective bubble surrounds Daiakuma as Beerus rises up into the sky. She can still move and the bubble will remain centered on her.

Starbird pauses. Amidst the sea of confusion some of the terms have wrought, a particular term seems to have emerged from the surface.

"A Mandalorian...?"

But that is washed away quickly, as the last terminology makes him freeze.

"Clone troopers?"

There's something almost akin to a silent scream in the Force, now that the full weight has settled on the hooded man.

   "O-oh dear."    Daiakuma gulped nervously even with the energy shield.

"Good." Flandre smirks then shoots at Beerus like a speeding bullet, slicing at him with Laevateinn where even if he dodges, a high speed slash of flame will fly out of the sword and forwards.

Beerus - Dragon Ball FighterZ

Beerus fwips to the side to avoid Flandre's slash, thus circumventing the fiery-blade-beam part of the attack entirely. He does a horizontal spin and tries to kick her across the chin with just his toes.

Zeloai raises a quizzical brow, feeling the slight tremor between them. The Jedi Master rises to his feet and places two fingers on the bridge of his nose. He grumbles for a moment, looking back up to Starbird.

"Yes, clone troopers. Your tone seems to lead on there is something I don't know, care to elaborate?"

Zeloai decides to press Starbird with a more serious tone, but doesn't take any aggressive posture.

Flandre is caught off guard but manages to barely avoid being hit thanks to her vampire reflexes.

"I admit you're faster than I expected." Flandre says, backing off to send another sword projectile at Beerus but this time the moment he moves to dodge he'll find crystal shaped danmaku bullets being fired at him from Flandre's wings like a machine gun.

"They... they killed the Jedi."

Starbird's voice is noticeably strained as he says this, as if this cuts deeper than anything else.

"Without remorse or hesitation. I watched them die."

Zeloai is taken aback by the news, denying the bombshell entirely. Though thinking back on the conviction with which Starbird spoke made it clear that he was telling the truth. Zeloai takes a deep breath, collecting his thoughts and words.

"These clone troopers, they fell the Jedi Order? Thousands of years from now?"

Zeloai is still confused enough that he's dropping details of his timeline without thinking. The Jedi Master swings around and grabs the comlink off his belt again, briefly turning his head back to Starbird.

"How do they accomplish it?"

He asks

The revelation of the timeline might as well be water under the bridge, now. Starbird certainly doesn't seem to be listening to that.

"...It was a plan to overthrow the Republic. We were dragged into a sham war by a Sith Lord who took charge and pretended to be a benevolent Chancellor."

He takes a deep breath, as if about to say more, but nothing else comes out of his mouth.

The grip on his weapon is so tight that he seems like he might damn well snap it in half.

"And this Sith Lord commanded the troopers to attack and kill the Jedi?"

Zeloai asks, placing the comlink back onto his belt and taking a few steps back to sit on a crate. Zeloai exhales long and hard, burying his face into his hands briefly.

"Why would they follow such a command? The clones have been nothing but helpful to us and have killed many Sith."

"Yes." Starbird leans back against the wall, sighing. "...And I don't know. I can only guess that it was a ploy from the start, for whatever reason."

"It doesn't matter, in the end. The Jedi Order's gone, the Sith have turned the Temple into a mockery of itself, and the Empire reigns supreme. We're trying to fight back, but..."

He trails off, voice strained and exhausted despite the scrambler. Had he known some of the Jedi, perhaps happened to be friends with them? That could've been the reason as to why this seemed to strike a particularly personal chord.

Zeloai nods, listening intently and staring at Starbird very closely. The Jedi Master sighs, trying to make sense of what he's hearing. It's truly alarming, but Zeloai calms himself with a few deep breaths, complete silence falling on the room.

"So, the clones are in on it. Perhaps they've been secretly aiding Laxin this whole time, but if that's the case why has he allowed us to evade him for so long?"

Zeloai's confusion continues to mount, endless questions bouncing off his head.

"How do you know? If it was some secret ploy to kill the Jedi and take over, how did you find out?"

Zeloai shoots to his feet and points an accusatory finger to Starbird.

"Are you ex-Sith? Did the guilt of what you had done set in?"

Quite the fiery accusation.

"Not... Not Laxin," Starbird corrects, his head hitting the wall behind him.

"Sidious. He spits out the name like a curse, with the tone of someone who had seen and known far too much of this particular Sith Lord.

...Then he almost laughs at the accusation, that world-weary exhaustion audible for Zeloai to hear.

"No. With my mistakes, though, I probably helped make things worse."

His face is concealed by his mask, but there's definitely something akin to a wry smile there.

"So I guess the accusation makes sense, somewhat."

There is definitely that barely-concealed self-loathing seeping through.
