Abandoned Pool
Doombox sees an opportunity in Medusa's stall. He doesn't care that the opportunity is risky, this damn woman kicked him. And she's gonna pay for it.
He flies up towards the motorcycle and tries to grab the ball right out of Medusa's hit, throwing it directly at her if successful.
If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong. From the side of the Ledge Enjoyers, Odin and Subaru's opening strikes are pretty efficient, with the latter blowing away the guards posted near the entrance and weakening the Sorcerers. Thanks to having high resistance to attacks such as this one, the Sorcs do survive for this part, simply kneeling where their bulkier allies are blown off their feet... and then Odin's precision strikes bonk them in the heads, causing them to collapse, since Subaru's blasts already did badly weaken them.
UP ABO- a Sorcerer farther from the entrance sees herself cut off after being shot in the head, her blood splattering her teammates as she spins in place and collapse. Said teammates barely have time to pick up on her words, being that they immediately find themselves under attacks from Jeridan's magical spells, blowing them away and leaving the distoriented Sorcerers to get picked off by Mordecai.
Then, the sound of running footsteps greet those near the entrance, their attention split between two deadly avenues, and here come the first of the Melee Mangos, smashing skulls in and making a mockery out of their helmets and armors. There are survivors in his wake, or rather people trying to attack him from the back, but Sawdust and Cardboard respond in kind, stabbing them in the back before they can try an altogether probably futile attempt at backstabbing Ban first.
Yammers come last, since she webbed up the stairs. Still, she's able to efficiently block some wiser guards from simply running away to the entrance, neatly immobilizing them with her web throws before they can even realize that their path to safety is already compromised. Overall, between the Melees Mangos and Ledge Enjoyers, the guards find themselves quickly whittled down.
Between all of this sudden violence no less than 45 guards fucking die, but Hoshidan's standards for cowardice seem to be different from the usual, because they still don't give up even as magical explosions, bullets, super-fists, actual web and shurikens fly about.
Meeting Ban head-on, about 10 armored soldiers try to bash him back with their shields and spears, trying to first stun him with a collective shield bash before shanking him with their spears, to push him back into Sawdust or Cardboard and Yammers, challenging the Melees Mangos
Five archers and five mages, meanwhile, try to somewhat pointlessly fight back, the mages pooling their powers together to overwhelm Jeridan's own mastery over magic : by making all of five of their Fire tomes spin in the air in front of them, they're able to create a huge fireball, punching unhindered through Jeridan's amped Comets and attempting to slam into the Ledge Enjoyers with great power and fanfare.
Should the fireball reach its goal, the ledge naturally explodes along with a good chunk of the wall into a large explosion, flaming chunks of stone raining over the dungeon-turned-battlefield. This could be bad for the group, who's already going to deal with archers trying to pin them down with a small-scale rain of arrows, so as to stop them from interfering. particularly bold archer even try to snipe Mordecai with an arrow. Through his scope.
And in the meantime, the two guards react quickly to Jeridan's words. Although not immobilizing them nor paying that much attention at all is going to prove perhaps unwise. For the guards know damn well that they're probably going to die at the end of this, be it by execution at the hands of their superiors or at the hands of the intruders. Still, the one that was in the dungeon to start with simply nods.
A-alright, good luck! And off he goes back to the shortcut leading to the second floor, to "hide".
Or rather to run the fuck away. Once he's satisfied with being out of sight, and after he starts to feel the overwhelming heat and sound of a combined Fire spell being thrown the way of the Intruders, the older Nohrian decide to make a run for it, banking on his captors being too distracted to return to him. He decide to make a full sprint back to floor 1, with the firm intention of warning his allies to send every force available in the castle to the dungeons.
Running off the shortcut into the 2nd floor, he
gets caught in Yammer's webby wave!
What the fu-gyagh!
But the younger guard doesn't think that tactically. Observing Mordecai's bird, since he's seen it do tricks for him, he pick his targets, deciding that, ultimately, Jeridan's proven to be versatile, ruthless and powerful. As a result, he grab a discarded arrow from one of the corpses in the room and attempt to run up to Jeridan to stab him in the back of the neck and slam him in the back, to hurl him down the ledge and into the cold hard stone floor below.
Only if the fireball is fended off as a threat or if Talon isn't watching. If the conditions aren't optimal, then he hide in a corner, being too cowed to dare anything so long as a pair of eyes are on him (although it's understandable that he would not take action when a huge fireball is blasting off his way).
All the noise up above causes Salazar to glance up, and he nods to Morgan, recognizing them as his allies. Holding up his shotgun, he crawls to a grate and shoot through it right as an archer was standing on top of it, causing the archer's body to explode into a red mist as the gun-toting Salazar emerges from his hidey hole. Remember, just because their heads are off doesn't mean they're dead! He attempts to join with the Melees Mangos because of proximity, waiting for Morgan to crawl out as well. After all, it's better to team up with allies rather than stay isolated and end up overwhelmed anyway.
Salazar get a few shots off with his shotgun, Nohrian armor and flesh faring poorly against Spanish god-bestowed lead flying at 425 m/s. But then he has to reload, getting closer to Morgan. Annoying how we have yet to manufacture bottomless ammo for our guns hm? Hoping that Morgan will protect him, Salazar reloads a few shells at rapid speed before switching to an handgun, at which point he returns fire.
Salazar killed about 7 guards but now four sword-wielding ones are heading his way as he reloads. Morgan's gonna have to handle them in his stead on top of those he's already attacking!

Jeridan let out a huff of satisfaction when he saw his teammates doing well, as he proceeded to cast another Luster Candy to buff all of his allies and quickly taking another sip of Cerulean Tears and practically shoving a Chakra Drop
down his throat after noticing that his mana is running low.
The young man then decided to keep up the offense and refrain from using support spells for now, continue to sling Night Comets at enemies until he noticed the massive fireball radiating visible waves of heat as it flew at the Ledge Enjoyers. Immediately putting the Staff of Loss away, Jeridan grabbed both of his war fans as his face becomes invaded by features of the 2nd strongest Upper Moon demon
. Most notably, his irises became a rainbow color while the kanji for "two" in his right eye became more distinct.
With a deep breath, he first created two humanoid constructs out of ice that blew cold air at the giant fireball, while he personally sent waves after waves of cold wind to shred down the raging ball of flame until the size becomes manageable. The honorary agent grabbed the Staff of Loss once more, using a sorcery to repel the smaller fireball while sending a barrage of glintblades at the sorcerers as retaliation.
Of course, this means the guard he captured to lead the way would now have enough courage to stab him in the back, and luckily for him, Jeridan isn't wearing the PIL exoskeleton at the moment. Unluckily for him, borrowing the powers of the Upper Moon Two demon comes with a powerful regeneration and a significant resistance to pain. After his flesh was pierced, PI-092-1 looked at the guard with a gloomy mix of disappointment and regret, before fully turning around and gently placing a hand on the man's shoulder.
"Maybe you're not as much of a coward as I thought." is the only thing the guard would hear before he can feel his shoulder being firmly grasped. PI-092-1 then took the Misericorde dagger he borrowed at the start of the mission and shoved the sharp blade into the guard's throat to silence him while patting him on the back. "You've done well." is all Jeridan said before he pulled the dagger out and sliced the man's head off with his war fan, just before catching the falling head and placing it on the side with care along with the body.
With a sigh that is visible in the warm darkness of the dungeon, he returned to battle to assist his allies, holding a fan in his left hand to generate cold wind that slows down enemies and make them more vulnerable for the Melee Mangos, while holding the Staff of Loss in his right to launch Night Comets at vulnerable enemies.

Dungeon Assault
Ban continues to beat down on whichever unfortunate soldier comes his way, looking like he's having the time of his life. He's not going out of his way to kill any of them though, just knocking them out unless he has to kill them to win. Subaru and Jeridan may appreciate that, depending on if they even notice in this chaos.
He looks briefly surprised when the armored units come his way and crosses his arms without stopping, allowing for the armor knights to bash him and for him to take it without getting knocked over. He gets impaled by some of the spears moments after, staggering back with his head lowered. For a moment it looks like he's about to collapse and die like any normal person would...
But of course that's not what happens. He looks back up with a grin, then holds out his hand. Suddenly the armor knights will feel a force pull on their lances, as Ban is attempting to use Snatch to take them from them.
If successful, the lances will all fly into Ban's hands, after which he'll chuck them with great force behind his throws, aiming not at the armor knights but at the archers that are trying to pelt them down with arrows.
As for the armor knights themselves, Odin switches to Nosferatu (for in case he gets hit by a stray arrow) and starts to assault them from the ledge.
Upon noticing what the mages are planning, Laslow runs a bit further and jumps down, then attempts to slash at the mages with his Nohrian Blade. The mere sight of someone who should be on their side for all they know attacking them instead may shock the mages enough to drop their guard, at least for long enough so that Laslow and anyone else attacking the sorcerers can deal with them.

Morgan hears them too and gets the same idea. Once Salazar (brutally but efficiently) gives them a way to get back out, he follows his new ally out and nods.
"Yeah, I've got experience with beings that don't need a head to fight.", he affirms as he takes out Thoron again, though of course leaves out that was leading said beings back in his world and the Arena.
"I could say the same about tomes. They run out of magical power at some point too."
He gets in front of Salazar. And while he briefly considers allowing the guards to strike him to take advantage of his Counter and Vengeance skill combo, he ultimately decides it may not be best to take such risks right now, especially since he has no escape path if things get dicey.
But power can come in many forms. Morgan briefly shines as magical power flows around him.
"Time to even the odds!", he shouts before unleashing a Critical Hit Thoron towards the guards. The massive beam of lightning is powerful enough to potentially even reach past the four and reach some other guards that are further away before fading out.
In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.Mordecai sees the arrow coming and lowers his rifle, taking the hit to his shields instead. Without bothering to re-scope, he fires at the archer who shot at him.
The sound of the shot is like a thunderclap echoing far and wide, and the impact makes a burst of Slag to coat whatever it hits and everyone around it in an icky substance that severely lowers their defenses against other attacks.
For his own 'other attacks', he sends Talon out to divebomb five enemies in a row with surprisingly vicious claw and beak slashes and return to him.
RF!Anna pops out. "I heard that from inside the orb. Was no one gonna tell me the fighting started?"
Medusa has just enough time to see Doombox coming up to meet her, but with Turbo Mode only lasting ten seconds, not nearly enough time to do anything about it.
"Son of a-"
With the force of a bomb, the ball crashes into her face and sends her hurtling off of her bike, into the ground.

"Hmm, kind of glad I didn't bring Tsuki and Taiyo along. They need to learn to fight but this is a bit much for them." Yamame thought to herself as she hops up on the wall, spider limbs extended again. It's true that as a tsuchigumo she's tougher than she looks even without armor and could break someone's spine but she doesn't enjoy the idea of being dogpiled.
So instead she stuck to the walls and alternated between sticking people up with webs, hitting them with danmaku magic projectiles or simply briefly jumping down on them to show them the benefits of having 8 limbs via violence, avoiding staying on the ground too long to not get swarmed.

"Oh, them. Funny that, I just rearranged some bits and bobs, nothing too unseemly."
N hops backwards, but Batman's low leg sweep puts that hop off-balance. Aofushi's plasma claw rakes across N's flank, piercing through her golden armor and leaving a burning wound behind.
And N, she honest-to-goodness laughs at that, like the pain is an encouragement to her.
"Don't say I'm a monster. I've 'eard enough of it."
N's guns are a set of peculiar weapons, as is well apparent at this point.
Her first weapon, Waning Moon, is a very particular weapon, one of a set of five black heavenly guns, each unique among all of creation. It's demonstrated power does not quite reflect this notable uniqueness, but it still outclasses any regular gun of its size.
Her second weapon, Roaring Anima, is stranger still- a six-shot revolver that fires life force instead of bullets, each shot taking life force from its target, in turn reloading the weapon to be fired again. The gun itself looks like it was shaped from a substance akin to blue ice, crystalline in its every detail.
In N's hands, these exceptional firearms don't seem to be living up to their potential.
...
(unwisely) ignoring Batman for a moment, N fires two shots of Waning Moon at Aofushi, aiming for her eyes to take each out (or worse). Her aim isn't liable to be exact if Aofushi moves, but an only-roughly-on-course bullet to the face is still a bullet to the face. That's bad news.
For now, the only bad news to worry about, though.
Yatta!Whoof... she can't spam supers like that, she can already feel a bit of stamina drain.
Presuming that Odin or Jeridan had the fireball covered, she takes a moment to recoup. It's during this that she has the free time to note the Older Guard making a break for it.
"!"
Let's follow up on that, neh?
...
She uses her le epic karate skills to backtrack after the guard, only to find him... a little tied up.
"..."
She crosses her arms.
/\。。/\"Well, if you mean what I want in life, I want to kill everyone," Medusa replies bluntly. She groans as she slowly sits up.
"But if you meant what I wanted out of kicking you, I just wasn't a fan of your music in particular. Didn't think you'd be sentient."

"Monster? Hah!" The magical girl sneered as she ducked under the shots, which whizzed just above her head while the tips of her right hand fingers glowed with power. Aofushi then launched into a short sprint to position herself such that N is trapped between her and Batman, launching each beam from her fingertips in the process. The girl is more than willing to attract the attention of the enemy while Batman swoops in for more debilitating attacks.
"We're all monsters here! You, me, and perhaps even the knight that prowls in the darkness of this city!" Aofushi snarled as she raised her other hand and charged a more concentrated blast, and if N is observant, she may notice that there is a trace of tear in her eyes that appeared as quickly as it is blinked away. That's why I will have no trouble putting you out of your misery. I've killed a friend already, so what's one more, right?
With gritted teeth, the magical girl launched a thicker, more powerful beam directly at N's neck.
Melee Mangos
The sisters step backwards, barely avoiding the spears; but thanks to Ban, the armored units have just their shields to worry about.
I have an idea... Hop on my hands, Sawdust!
She leaps on Cardboard's hands, and then she throws her upward, attempting a flashy spinning attack with a very loud scream...!
...But Sawdust's attack was just a diversion: if the guards up their shields to block her, Cardboard will slash the legs of the guards with her glass blade!

YOU DISLIKE MY MUSIC? YOU HAVE NO SENSE OF TASTE.
"Honestly, I don't like 'Dominator' particularly either."
Looks like someone's been watching the match. A gray robot with a cappy, cargo pants and a skateboard is looking inside through a hole in the ceiling. He jumps down.
SWITCH. WHAT DO YOU WANT.
"What do you think I want? I'm checking on my turf."
The robot skates over. Despite the film of water, it seems to have no trouble doing so.
"Anyways, you're not half bad for a Lethal League beginner", Switch says to Medusa. "Who are you, and... why do you wanna wipe out humanity? There won't be anyone left to play ball with."
SWITCH, YOU ARE AN IDIOT.
Switch simply shrugs in response. He seems used to Doombox's manners.
If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong. The guard simply stares at Subaru and smirks slightly through his helmet, attempting to basically wink at her. I huh... was looking out for a good spot to hide in you know?
Elsewhere, less amusingly, the male guard barely has time to realize what's going on before he's decapitated and laid to rest, watching as his one attack is effortlessly shrugged off by his captor.
His fate is similar to his colleagues down below, who get their spears successfully snatched up by Ban, being that they were too busy reacting to his immortality to even try to fight back. Befuddled beyond belief and damn well aware of how strong he is, they don't even care for the slain archers in the back, who go down just as swiftly, with one falling down a second before as Mordecai cap him.
Instead, they raise their shields, backing off slightly as they try to react to Ban and Sawdust both. Which allows Yamame and Cardboard to take down the remaining guards, slashing their legs out. And then Odin also come in by draining their health away and basically they're not having a good time at all, their Nohrian hardiness allowing them to somehow live through the abuse but greatly weakened.
And where other Nohrians would try to fight on anyway, those... Ahhh! We yield! We yield! We'll do anything you want but we yield! And right as they say that, Jeridan's deflected fireballs smash into the mages, with his magic swords flowing into the smoke to make shish kebab out of the survivors. And they would have tried to form another bigger ball if not for Laslow providing key distraction. And Morgan culling some of their members with his critical hit, almost on accident.
Hahahaha, what a splendid hit! Perhaps I should be your shield instead of the opposite! Salazar aims at some guy's head but he immediately kneels down, surrendering after seeing just everything happen the way they did. All of these superhuman powers and advanced technology unleashed at once is literally too much. Needless to say, any of the surviving Nohrians are quick to surrender as well, laying down their arms and kneeling. Or simply holding their arms up.
Aside from one guard, who wait for Laslow to come closer and leap at him, her arms angled like she's going to try to punch his head off with a big clumsy punch. I'll tear your tr- but before she can do much of anything, she's struck by a familiar beam (to Morgan, Sawdust and Salazar) and stop dead in her tracks, frozen and helpless. A timely "save" courtesy of Foxy, who stands a few feet behind her, winking at Sawdust and the others. Changed my mind, kid.
You did nothing though, as Foxy instantly falls on his knees, Salazar glances at the group and wave his hand. Hello! You seem like a band of merrygoers! Would you mind if the fat pirate and I were to draft ourselves to that little group of yours? I am asking this but I don't know what I'd do if you refuse so I'm really anticipating an enthusiastic "yes", please !
That done, Salazar goes over to the dead Nohrians. Little does the group knows but he's actually picking up money, ammo and herbs floating out of their bodies.
... Well that is very convenient!
As for the group on the ledge, if they walk across the ledge to the door on the right from their perspective (aka the shortcut to the fourth level) they'll see the Hoshidan ninja sitting on a pile of dead Nohrian corpses, about fifteen of them. Except that she was visibly testing out ways to sit cooly on a bunch of bodies, meaning that they'll see her sitting cross-legged on the pile if they're fast enough, suggesting that she wasn't really waiting for them.
If they spot her she remains silent for five seconds, arms folded cooly, and then move on. You have done well, she praises them, although her voice remains flat. It is up to you to decide how to take care of the survivors. But I have my priorities. She get up walk off, revealing that she was sitting on a towel of a sort to avoid getting her clothes smeared with blood.
Are you sure that they should be spared? a prisoner says, being sent forward as a diplomat by the rest of them. His clothes are tattered, showing off his many bruises, his eyes are sunken in, his teeth are almost all blown off and his his skin is almost blue with more bruises. The rest of the prisoners curiously peer from a room they all went to hide in. You need to kill them all. They'll just get up to go warn their superiors or take us hostages while you're not looking.
I would agree that it could be a problem to let them go. But if so you wish, I would recommend you to tie them down in some way. Perhaps use a magic beam that can instantly freeze a target or something.
... Don't look at me! I can only freeze stuff up to 30 seconds!
Anyway, my name is Ramon Salazar! After the President of the United States kidnapped the village chief, the beloved Bittores Mandez, I went on a mission to rescue him. But cunningly-
Meanwhile, the kunoichi goes to the metallic door leading to the fourth dungeon. Holding up a finger to the others as if to tell them to be quiet, she focus for a bit on any noise past the door and then goes to a comically small lock on the door. Ninja trick... go! She kick the lock and the door proceed to almost swing open on its own, prompting the ninja to put her hands on her hips in satisfaction.
Are you all insane? You just kicked the- Foxy shut up, watching in awe as the metal door open to, at first, absolute darkness, with nothing for the human eye to gleam beneath. Wisps of smoke then emerges out of the darkness, as torches seem to slowly flicker in into existence, slowly illuminating a door that leads further into darkness. There's nothing but cold black stone beyond that point, contrasting with the almost cavern-like look of the first floors.
There's an eerie purple light peering out, just barely, out of the door. Brief chanting can be heard from beyond. The surviving guard, having probably been extracted out of Yammer's web, gulps.
I've been to that level once, he says, before turning to the crew, almost smirking. .. You thought what we were doing up in the second floor was cruel? Then prepare to step out of the chrysalis.
And as he watch on, two more purple lights appear within the very room. Down to a corner, next to the door, there's...
WELCOME STRANGER

The Hoshidan ninja simply approach the Merchant, a tall hooded man with a cloak full of weaponous wonders, and casually buy a RES tonic for herself. Lifting her helmet off very slightly to reveal her lips, she drink the tonic and then turn to the crow, not lowering her helmet for now, probably to make herself heard better.
If any of you still have faith in humanity, then wait for us here.
The Merchant overall has all the items that the intruders would need for themselves right now, at an hefty price. Want ammo for a rifle found on Pandora? He has it. Want a Nosferatu? He has it. Want glass blades? Yeah.
They'll need 'em for the fourth floor.

Sawdust gives a thumbs up at Foxy. At least they are with them. Then, she gives another at Ban: Your powers are so cool, too!
Meanwhile, Cardboard tries to take a couple of shields from the corpses.

Shortly after seeing the ninja girl exit from the door, the sisters go with the merchant. Sawdust looks at the glass blades they sell there, but she says: Nothing like good ol' Fores blades.
Um... How much you can give me for these?
The sisters show the daggers they stole from the armory, altough Sawdust cleans with her clothes blood from the guard she killed with it.

Three freaking ghosts!Moment of Victory
Ban pounds his fists in victory and laughs.
"Now that was liberating after playing the hapless prisoner.", he says. He then looks at Sawdust and happily pats her head.
"Thanks, kid! You did real well too."
Laslow pockets his blade, looking up at Odin and about to say something to him. Then the guard leaps at him, with Odin not being fast enough to warn him-
Thankfully Foxy saves the day, taking down the guard right before she could have landed a potentially lethal blow on Laslow, who now turns around.
"Holy... thank you... erm... wait, who are you two?", he asks Salazar and Foxy.
"They were prisoners that Sawdust and I freed.", Morgan says as he pockets Thoron. "They can help us free Corrin, and in return we help them get out of this place. ... wait, weren't you with the other group?"
"I came in as backup. We successfully spoke with Lady Camilla.", Laslow says. "Anyhow, I see no reason to refuse-"
"Ha, yes! Some extra pals to take along the road!", Ban says as he (while still bleeding and having spear holes in his body) walks up to Salazar and Foxy and gives them both a friendly pat on the back.
As for Odin, he does indeed notice what the ninja is doing once he reaches her. He doesn't say anything that can embarrass her though, he understands the importance of appearing in a cool way. He follows her down as well.
"I guess we can't let them just leave. But tying them up seems more humane to me than just killing them after they've surrendered.", he says, now pocketing his tome as well.
Morgan looks conflicted on the matter, but he ultimately agrees with the notion too.
"Well then, I think spider-lady can web 'em up fast and we can go!", Ban says. "Cover their mouths too so that they can't make noise."
—
Once the surrendering guards have been tied up, Odin, Laslow, Ban and Morgan look on as the Hoshidan ninja opens the gate. Morgan looks up at Odin and Laslow.
"Don't either of you know what's down there?"
"No. This basement level doesn't exist in our world-"
Cue the Merchant. Erm... well...
Ban approaches without question. He wonders if they have a four section-staff similar to his Sacred Treasure
◊. Sure, a regular one of them wouldn't give him any sort of power boost, but it would let him fight at range. He also looks for anything that can restore stamina. Those are the only things he could ever really need, and since he didn't buy anything in the My Castle he should have enough to pay for these in the event that either or both are in the Merchant's stocks.
Morgan shrugs and approaches as well. Perhaps a fire-related tome could be useful. He can't really think of anything else that he could get, so that's what he searches for.
Laslow had wanted to buy a Brave Sword in the My Castle, but he hadn't found one in time before they had left. Perhaps the Merchant has one?
Odin is content with his Excalibur and Nosferatu. So instead he looks for an Elixer, as well as Antitoxin. You know, just in case...

I was convinced of this when I saw Apocalypsis - a giant machine shaped like a three-headed animal, with tank treads for feet. And when I say 'giant', I mean it stepped on skyscrapers. Its footfall crushed whole battalions."
Medusa props herself up on her lancesaw and rises to her feet. "It was like a walking nuclear weapon, and it was built to win a war. It was said it could reveal the truth of the world, and I saw that truth firsthand: that humans are naturally bent on destruction. If an ally of mine hadn't sacrificed himself to destroy it, it would've wrecked the only continent we had left to live on in a flooded world. And all because they thought they deserved to rule over it."
"But I've decided that the only thing we all deserve is to die. By killing everyone, there will be no destroyers left." Medusa shakes her hair. "You may think 'but what about the good people?' They may exist, but the way I see it, the virtuous don't deserve to live in the same world as the sinful. Let the gods separate them for eternity in the afterlife."

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Somewhere, somehow, Omori Plush can sense that the gamer menace had been defeated. It would clap if it was capable of doing so.
Meanwhile, Obese and Shadowman do not sense anything, and Obese is still butthurt over what happened. They have agreed to never ever mention it again, ever.

"AHAHA! TAKE THAT YOU SLAGGER!" Crosscut cheers, indulging in a brief victory dance until he gets a loud comm-link ping.
"Where the FRAG have you been, you scrapbrain!?" Ratbat growls, obviously pissed the fuck off. "You were supposed to report in with your team a MONTH ago!"
"Ah... well, they sort of died and then I got dragged into this fight with some weird wizard and-" Crosscut meekly explains before Ratbat cuts him off.
"Why do I bother- You know what I don't care. Just get your worthless chassis at base! NOW!!!" Ratbat shouts.
"Y-yes sir!" Crosscut replies. He grumbles something under his non-existent breath about having killed a superbeing then transforms and flies off.
"That was a pointless encounter with a pointless person."

Night at the Museum
The vigilante watched as the guns were lifted once more in his direction. Bang, bang. By the time both shots were fired he was already in motion.
The first whizzed past his head, the whistling of the bullet audible through his double-pronged helmet as well as the cracking when it became one with the wall behind him. To avoid the second would have taken superhuman speed, speed the man did not have. It smashed against his chest, sparks flying as black paint chipped from his armor to reveal the gray beneath. He recoiled back, the breath stolen from his lungs. Already he felt the welt on his skin rising beneath his suit. Still better than being dead.
As he fell backwards he disappeared into the darkness once more, until he reemerged moments later from an entirely different angle, aiming to ground the criminal with a low kick aimed to her legs so that his temporary ally may get a chance at dealing extra damage. For now, he remained silent with lips sealed—There was nothing to be spoken in the midst of the heat of combat, at least not from him. To engage in dialogue was a distraction.
