Rosa and Crisol feeled a bit uneasy at the idea of attacking children, even considering to leave the mission. Thankfully, it wasn't the case.
"Your ideas are good. We could infiltrate the ship, leave a couple of good ol' bombs, and leave. Or attack the ship directly from the ground. But, what if Laxin isn't in the ship?"
Meanwhile, Rosa nods, and leaves briefly the briefing (
) to make a telephone call to her boss, Hannah Wells.
Good day, I'll need you to send some agents to a certain location... No, since it's stealth and recon, I'll need a petit comité... Two, yeah. We'll keep in touch. Thanks.

Three freaking ghosts!Dark Lord Nergigante makes a huffing sound akin to laughter as he spreads his wings. He rears up in preparation to strike, only to pause.
... No, this battle is already over. He's already made his point; his enemy comprehends that he is dangerous. And that's all he sought to affirm. He drops down on all fours, then springs away in a trail of Force Lightning.
Maestro is knocked back by Super Bass's blasts. Having no mouth and very simplistic eyes, his expression is unreadable, but the fact that he promptly focuses his shots on just Bass should indicate he's heavily damaged and trying to claim at least some kind of win.
Fallen Sunny nods his head to Eddie and lets him leave...
But he turns to where the Stitchwraith ran off to and runs in pursuit of it. He's not letting that feeling go.
"At the rate things are going, defeating Laxin right now is impossible," Terra calmly replies. "I gave it everything I had in our first battle, and his power and resources have only grown since then."
"Nial" nods.
"... Do you know something?"
"He's fought Laxin himself recently, so he says. He certainly wasn't winning that."
Terra's eyes narrow and he taps Kroq-Gar on the shoulder. "Keep an eye on him."
Though not the subject of the request, Raeii nods in the background.
Star Knight spreads his mitten-clad nub-arms and releases a swirl of tiny stars, which flow into Abeloth and restore her energy.
"There. Better?"

Kroq-Gar nods to Terra regarding Niall. Skarnsnik looks at him with his own two beady red eyes, the Goblin pouting as he wished someone recognized him for his super cool braininess.
Kroq-Gar however felt more than just Terra or Raeii's eyes on him, and takes this as initiative to engage in conversation. He stands up and somewhat appoints himself the center of attention, simply because he believes he has a adequate feat to bring to the table.
"Killing Laxin will be challenging, if what I hear is true. But there is a way to gut a man's pride beyond defeating him physically. I come from many schools of thought. I am a weapon. The tip of a spear. And The Rest of My Army! It is my blade."
He emphasized that last point point with clenching his Hand of The Gods, golden flame coming from the palm and snaking it'd way between the crevices of his Cybernetic fist.
"Now we are in the moment of being the strong hand that will thrust into our enemy throats. You propose he has a force. We will occupy his force. On three fronts! If not, maybe even four.
Most of you would be adequate enough to get into his flagship... But tell me... Where the bulk of his ground units are. And we will overwhelm them. No places to hide or call for re-enforcements."
Skarnsnik seemed a little curious by the prospect of four fronts. Before immediately whistling, and this time rolling into the room is the rotund and muscular Cave Squig Gobbla, who skids into the room, his head moving around as if concussed. Skarnsnik pole vaults up his Spear-Staff and lands atop the Squig.

"Yes!"

realJoshua looks to Nial.
"I knew a few silent types such as yourself. I don't doubt your capabilites to face Laxin, but to survive unharmed would indicate we stand a better chance than I thought."
Zeloai's suspicion of 'Nial' is gone by now, the mention of a green jedi facing Laxin enough to prompt a brief sympathetic look.
Wrustoiz gestures to Terra with a splayed hand and a neutral gaze locked to Ben, not uttering a single word. Zeloai moves to Ben, turning his gaze to Terra.
"Yet you did have him on the retreat, even with his gained power it is my belief that alone he stands no chance against all of us."
Wrustoiz chuckles.
"That's never been the case with Laxin, Zeloai. Never in you two's entire history has a number's advantage aided you. Even when my master was but a Lord."
Zeloai glares at Wrustoiz, his nose flaring for just a moment before he calms himself. An abnormal moment of anger for the Jedi Master.
"The rules are different here."
"Those who forget their history are doomed to repeat it Jedi."
"What the fuck are you two space wizards alluding to?"
Then the offer of an army strikes the ears of everyone, prompting a quick snapping gaze from Joshua.
"I figured you'd offer a stronger battle plan, not a whole God damned army. The portals from pixie here and you could probably take down the academy yourselves."
He gestures to Elifin.
"Or,we could ambush Laxin on whatever star destroyer he's stationed on and blow him to hell."
"I'm not sure if you recall but Laxin emerged from a smoldering wreck of a ship completely unharmed. So neither that nor a bomb would be effective Pyra."
Joshua nods to Wrustoiz with a sigh.
"You're awfully full of telling us our ideas suck ass but I've never once heard you offer one."
Zeloai has gone quiet, eyes glazed over.
Meanwhile, over on Laxin's side of things...
He had found the Metroid in its new form, identified as the Gamma stage by Raven Beak. This form had attacked him on sight, to his surprise. He was able to contain it with minimal harm, but he knew he could no longer hold off on retrieving Thoha DNA.
That meant he would have to uphold his deal with the psychic beast, Fecto Forgo. He had hoped to string it along, relying on the animals known as the Beast Pack for additional military force his foes could not predict in order to crush them first, but once he took that portal, there would be no more waiting, no more excuses. He would have to devote time and effort to capturing its other half, a task he suspected would be difficult if this other half possessed the same dimension-hopping powers.
Then again... if it meant getting his 'ultimate warrior' under control, perhaps it would be worth it.
He sought out the chamber in which Forgo rested and reaffirmed their deal, for which he received his portal. It was a time before the birth of Samus Aran, so he would not have to worry about possibly inspiring her future self to take revenge on him. The process was pathetically easy; these birds created the ultimate bioweapon yet severed their own neurological capacity for harmful intent. He slew a male who happened to be near the portal, extracted his blood into a vial, and that was that.
The hard part would be integrating the blood into himself. This could go terribly wrong if he made a single miscalculation, but fortunately Raven Beak knew the very process by which Samus had received Thoha DNA, and they were able to replicate it.
And now that Laxin had the Metroid under his control again... he would soon have to begin the chase.
The tiny stars sink into Abeloth's skin, filling her with a feeling of vigor and replenishment. She lets out a sigh of relief as her body morphs into something far more human. Her tentacle arms clump together and morph into human arms, her face shifting to have more anatomically correct features.
What remains is a regular woman, with abnormally pale skin and dark soulless pits for eyes. If anything, she looks strikingly similar to Cate Blanchett.
"Thank you, my child."
This appearance is merely a facade, Abeloth smiling at Star Knight.

Nagadilotep looks up at Thor with those Borzoi pleading eyes, the giant serpent knowing it probably looked uncanny but he couldn't help it, the vaguely crocodillian head showing some slight chagrin.
"If I eat the bodies... More come. Crabs don't come to a filled bait trap do they? But I suppose... I can let you kill the next three.".
He looked to the new on-comers with a bit of a devious expression, looking them up and down.
"It's funny... It's usually the other form that freaks people out. It's the exact opposite back home."
Hyu and Mark
Hyu thought on this. And then she remembered if she could hold that up. So she remembered her cousins and her sisters and all their antics involving this field:
Books could only really shoot a Stubber, so Nagaya never let him near the Frontline. Then again Nagaya was the second best fighter of their kin period not a fair comparison.
Yoland and that... Weird Dude... He was a tool anyways.
Rosha was absolutely terrifying in every regard when it came to her utter transparency. Hyu felt her face get a little red before she visibly shook itr and thought more on Mark's offer.
Ody'nami was fine with Joseph being in the Frontlines. But that's because she was also terrifyingly good at shooting. They fed off each other's ego. But also worked well as a unit.
Hyu sighed and looked to Mark, gritting her teeth as if she was forcing herself to comply.
"I... I'll bite. You fight first."

Skarnsnik immediately jumped into the concept with a rather hot take, the goblin king having no filter.
"Because most umies are lousy plannas! Dey dont fink cleva-"
Kroq-Gar snapped his jaws, Skarnsnik looking offended yet again before pouting and resting on his biological mushroom friend. Kroq-Gar moved around the other members gathered and spoke, spear stiffly held in his biological hand.
"I will not waste my kin's or fellowship's blood on this... Laxin. I frankly believe the bud should have been clipped sooner. Now it has blossomed into a threat that requires this plan.
We need four separate portals. One for Skarsnik's forces to invade command rooms for the hangar and power grid. They take security down and wrangle control of their own ship against them for a while.
Enough for the second portal to release my forces into their hangar to act as a distraction yes, but also to destroy any enemies that may wish to leave or enter the vessel.
Third is where you all come in at either time. It would work to your advantage afterwards but time is if the essence. We'll have to do these portals at the same time."
He spoke with such a seasoned and militaristic flair it almost seemed, endearing. It was full of a sort of, professional and gruff sportsmanship one probably didn't expect from the large reptile.
"Fourth is a bit risky. We get some Kurnothi to aid in stopping re-enforcements to your battle with Laxin. They'll pick off the enemy like a game of cat and mouse, while Skarsnik's forces rotate around and continue to sabotage and maim the engineers."
Skarnsnik was very much proud to be seen as an appreciated asset, beaming with short king energy ad Kroq-Gar looked to Ben and the others.
"Questions?"

"... I can't do that."
Warrick cocks his head. "Oh?"
"Because if I do that... It'll sense me. My original self I split and ran away from. I have to refrain from opening more than one portal in a given time frame or it'll be able to sense them and trace them back to me. And then we won't just have to deal with Laxin's forces, but all the wildlife of an entire other world unified to capture me."
"And we can't just take that risk because...?"
"Things will get ugly fast."
Star Knight closes his eyes (which Abeloth can see past his mask) and nods to Abeloth. "No problem!"

The soldiers of the vessel are currently in the hangar, celebrating their "victory" through a giant feast and party where they obnoxiously blare whatever is on the radio. This victory being the procurement of new weapons, men (the skull squadron being readily accepted into their ranks), and technology.
Inside the vessel there's a stark contrast, large areas of the shopping mall-esque layout are empty save for a few men on scrub duty down in the barracks. The barracks is dead silent, and there were special rooms inside the facility were where they would question anyone accused of magic. These special rooms were pure white, had basic food, ample lighting, furniture, and is simply blocked off by a transparent wall.
This is where Izawano would be in. With a pair of the men in scrub duty staring at him curious with a tinge of animosity in the air.

"Enough, Wrustoiz! Enough with your insufferably smug attitude and unhelpful condescension. Joshua's right, you've done nothing but complain about everyone else's ideas while offering none of your own, just like always. Now, unless you're actually going to be useful, either shut your mouth or leave."
He lets out his breath in a deep, heavy exhale following his outburst before looking around at the others gathered.
"Apologies. I've always found dealing with Wrustoiz to be... exhausting."
His gaze flickers to Kroq-Gar.
"You should know that Laxin commands not only legions of elite warriors and war machines, but monsters unlike anything I've seen before. One of them can even wield the Force as if it were a Sith Lord inhabiting the body of a beast that makes krayt dragons look like womp rats by comparison. You and your soldiers would do well to exercise extreme caution, should you have the misfortune of encountering these creatures."

Abeloth notices his eyes shut and, believing him defenseless, drops the sudden change in appearance. She reverts to her monstrous eldritch form, unable to control her hunger.
"Become one.."
She quietly utters before a snarling sound unlike any other comes from her throat. If Star Knight opened his eyes, he'd see a gaping snarling jaw aiming to swallow him whole in a single bite. If not, I think it's obvious what happens.
Izawano is sitting down, burning blue eyes glued to the sanitary crew. Why was he here? He hadn't done anything wrong. Yet here he was,a Jedi Knight without his lightsaber, imprisoned. A dark presence has permeated around Izawano since the battle at the facility, and it's been stopping him from contacting his master.
Was that why he was here? Izawanos gaze flutters to the ground, briefly taken aback by the sight of his shadow staring back.

Three freaking ghosts!"I'm no lousy planner, sometimes there's just not enough resources."
Joshua responds fairly calmly to Skarnsnik, turning his attention back to Kroq-Gar. He's about to agree with the reptile's plan until Elifin chimes in, denying it entirely.
"Well, wish I had known that before. Still, the plan could work with shorter teleportation like Pyra possesses. It would just take longer. Maybe too long. Zeloai, what do you think?"
The Jedi Master doesn't respond.
"If we're going to attack that's just about our only-"
Wrustoiz raises a hand to block Ben's Force push, having seen it coming this time. The impact is still enough to briefly disrupt his seated position, prompting an annoyed look but a little more retaliation than that. Zeloai snaps out of his dazed state, placing a gentle hand on Ben's shoulder, and with a meek voice barely loud enough for everyone to hear, Zeloai speaks.
"No, Wrustoiz is right. Numbers are nothing before Laxin without skill."
"And we lack it?!"
Joshua asks, a little insulted—Zeloai, is still mildly muted while responding.
"Skilled, but Wrustoiz may be right. It may not be enough."
"And why the fuck not? Why is Laxin so impossibly powerful for us to defeat right now with the resources we have?!. This guy's offering us a fucking army!"
The Spartan retorts, quite muffled at Zeloai's sudden change of heart. Zeloai looks to Rosa when he hears her reasonable question, visibly shuddering. Zeloai takes a seat on a crate, pulling his saber staff from his belt and inspecting the hilt. How did Laxin always survive?
Wrustoiz raises a quizzical brow, but remains silent, observing Zeloai's slightly sunken posture; and the odd feeling of fear from the Jedi Master. Even to those un-attuned to the force, Zeloai's feelings may be obvious.
"Seriously, tell me why. I've gone long enough playing these shadow games without fully understanding this 'dark lord'. You are so afraid of what seems like fuckin' nothing. What's the point of planning all this out if it will amount to nothing?"
"It already has, and we have done the safest move every time. This is a dangerous game of Dejarik, one I have played many times before. Wrustoiz's cynical attitude, while too harsh, has its merits."
Zeloai pauses, taking a deep breath. The overhead red lights of the tank reflecting upon the saber staff hilt he holds take him back.
"The Battle of Corellia was the first time I encountered the true brutality of the Empire, and my first meeting with Laxin."
"The Republic won that battle."
Wrustoiz interjected.
"It was never that simple..."
Zeloai replies, burying his hands into his face.
"How?"
The Empire attacked a Republic World, Corellia. They set fire to the sky and relentlessly razed cities and slaughtered indiscriminately. Their armies marched through the city streets, taking control of district after district. The first time I ever met the gaze of Laxin was his first bait play that my master and I had fallen straight into. My master, Belura, was sure the enemy was retreating, not leading us into a trap. We had superior numbers, but he separated us from what remained of our platoon of soldiers, challenging us. I had faced Sith before, but never one so sure of himself, especially when faced with a full-fledged Jedi Knight and his master. His ego, the anger, it was like nothing I had ever felt from a Sith. He refused to surrender.
"Sith."
Belura, my master whispered, raising her lightsaber at him.
"A Sith Lord, Jedi, and you will respect that distinction until I cleave your head from your body."
Laxin spat back, rage in every syllable uttered. The rage took me aback for a moment until I regained my confidence, believing this duel was already over.
"Surrender now, you are no match for a Jedi Knight and a Master."
I commanded, raising my saber staff at Laxin as well. The Sith Lord drew his lightsaber from his belt and ignited the crossguard blade. He snarled at us like an animal, placing one foot forward.
"Yield!"
My master shouted, taking two steps toward Laxin.
"No."
Laxin responded bluntly, twirling his blade and rushing forward at us. I was eager to see this threat dispatched, so I rushed forward to meet the dark lord first. He struck me with strength and speed I had thought a Sith incapable of, but my use of a defensive lightsaber form was enough to hold him back from destroying me entirely. My master rushed behind him to strike at his back, but Laxin moved with such speed he was little more than a blur to my eyes whilst he swung to catch her blow with a parry.
He rose a single hand to my face, blasting me in the chest with a burst of Force Lightning, sending me into the back wall and returning his attention to my master. My master's blue blade shined bright against Laxin's darker blade, she was more than equipped to face him at that moment. I was dazed but rose to my feet quickly enough.
Already something felt wrong, a twitch in my gut, feeling as though Laxin's dark presence surrounded me. Perhaps it was that feeling of fear that robbed me of slaying him then, my inexperience against true dark lords of the Sith. I rushed forward again, matching each swing of my master's blue blade with one of my own, but Laxin struck away each strike as if it were little more than paper against his guard.
There were no openings in his form, no weakness to exploit, it was masterful, something even the greatest of both orders struggle to master. It was obvious to him who the weak link was, and each counter-strike he swung was aimed at me. With every strike my arms grew weaker, my form sloppier, while my master held firm.
We fought across that office for what felt like hours until Laxin struck me again with a powerful saber strike, shattering my guard and swinging his lightsaber at me for the finishing blow. I leaned backward, and the tip of his lightsaber grazed my chest. Had I been half an inch further, I'd have been killed. The pain was... too much. I could not regain control of my stance, and my master rightfully pushed me to the back of the room.
"Stay there padawan!"
My master's fate was what sealed her doom, my weakness, her downfall. From that point on in their duel, I could no longer fight. I didn't know it yet, but his lightsaber had managed to damage one of my lungs. Blow after blow he slammed against her lightsaber, corralling her to a corner. Laxin pressed Belura into a saber lock, pressing tightly against her guard. The crackle of their lightsabers filled my ears, the only sound louder than the intense beating of my heart.
"Hrngh"
"Tired, Jedi?"
Belura defied his taunt by pushing Laxin off of her, swinging her blue blade overhead in a deadly flourish before reversing the dynamic and attacking him. I had rarely ever been so relieved, and my ears caught the quiet sound of something much better. Our platoon had beaten what remained of Laxin's troops, an unfamiliar voice amongst their cries of victory.
"Where is your general?"
I heard faintly through the closed door, turning my head to it with a slight smirk.
"Through there!"
Within an instant, the door was torn open by a Green Jedi, who rushed into the room and leaped to my master's aid. Laxin kicked Belura away, whipping around to face the Jedi I had not recognized.
"Corellian filth!"
Laxin shouted, grasping the Jedi with a Force choke. I grasped my saber staff and ignited it, throwing it straight at Laxin to force him to release the Green Jedi. My platoon commander, Val, rushed to my side, feeling the gash across my chest.
"He needs emergency medical. Get him out of here!"
The platoon medics rushed into the room, pulling me to my feet and pulling me from the room. All I heard behind me was the loud clashing of lightsabers and wild grunts from Laxin. I hadn't expected him or any Sith to nearly kill a Jedi Knight in a matter of minutes, but that was the least of what he did that day.
After I had been taken outside, the platoon medics signaled for an emergency shuttle, and a few of the soldiers came outside to guard me while we waited for it to arrive. It was only a minute or so later when the roars of the shuttle's engines echoed from overhead, but Laxin had other plans.
Suddenly one of the building's walls leading back out into the courtyard we were in was blown open, and Laxin was sent careening out of it like a ragdoll. He regained control of himself in the air, landing only a few dozen feet away from me. I looked at him, completely helpless. The soldiers standing guard opened fire, but they stood no chance.
Laxin deflected their blaster fire into their skulls with minimal effort, and I was helpless to do nothing but watch as much of my platoon was slaughtered around me. The Green Jedi and my Master leaped from the hole, rushing forward to grab Laxin's attention.
It worked to no avail, he was dead set on killing me. I could hardly stand to look at him as I fell to the ground, my breath becoming more and more labored. He fully sprinted at me, leaping high into the air to come crashing down on me with one final strike. The Force had other plans for me it seemed, as the Green Jedi matched his emerald blade with Laxin's sanguine saber an inch from my nose.
The Green Jedi pushed him away from me, and the two engaged in a duel as my master rapidly approached from the distance. What came next I struggle to.. recall. Laxin slunk beneath the Jedi's guard and cleaved his saber-wielding arm off. That wasn't enough to finish the poor man off, so Laxin quickly detached his other arm, and an instant later silenced the Jedi's scream with a decapitation.
"DIE FILTH! THIS PLANET WILL BURN!"
Laxin shouted at the corpse, the detached head rolled next to me as I struggled to stand, trying to hobble my way to the emergency shuttle that had finally arrived. Belura was on Laxin before he could attempt to finish the job again, turning to engage my master once more in a deadly dance.
From far off I saw the platoon commander, Val, still inside the building, the sole survivor, lining up a shot to try and kill Laxin. Before I could muster up the air to shout at him to not take the shot, he fired. Laxin broke away from Belura for but half a moment, and reflected the blaster shot straight through Val's armor. A merciless, quick killing of a soldier with an otherwise flawless combat record.
Twenty soldiers, a Green Jedi, he had crippled me, and now it was down to my master. I looked down at the mangled corpse of the Corellian Jedi and on his corpse, I saw my lightsaber attached to his belt. The emergency shuttle had already docked behind me, the pilot shouting at me to get on quickly.
I should have listened. Exercised caution, and retreated, but I refused to surrender the 'advantage' I believed I had. Instead, I called upon all the strength I had left to recall my lightsaber and rush Laxin. My master saw me coming, dropping her guard to Force push me with all her might into the arms of the pilot on the edge of the shuttle's boarding ramp.
Laxin cleaved her hand off, but still, my master fought. She quickly acclimated to a one-handed form, swallowing the pain and continuing to battle Laxin. The pilot struggled, pulling me into the shuttle despite my protests. I could not see what transpired next, but I know whatever did happen ended in the death of my master.
"The Republic ended up winning that battle, but Laxin made a name for himself that day. To the Green Jedi, he was named 'The Butcher of Corellia'. From what I had heard he slew dozens more Jedi, even slaying the grandmaster of their order. Whatever 'victory' there was for the Republic, it came at a cost far too great."
"I'm sorry."
"Only a Lord..."
Wrustoiz quietly comments with disbelief.
"All that to say, Laxin's credibility as a dangerous threat regardless of any perceived odds is still high, and any direct assault against him or even somewhere he is nearby is dangerous. Very, very dangerous."
He pauses.
"And that is why the Empire and Laxin must be brought down. I refuse to allow such destruction to spread across this place as it did Corellia."

MOC Tank
Both Crisol and Rosa hear attently at Wrustoiz's story, visibly touched by it. It's almost like they were in the battle, too.
Also, that story explained Rosa (and Crisol) everything she must know about Laxin... And she understood it's a miracle Crisol and her partner survived him.
After the story ended, a brief silence followed, that Rosa cut out:
Well then, it seems like all of our plans amount to two things: to clash against Laxin head-on, as always you have done, with all the risks it implies; or to whittle slowly all of his resources, while he's still out for more slaughters like Corellia.
Not matter the plan, ITEI will be with you. And whatever you plan to do, it will be useless if we let our ego split us... She said that last sentence with a brief glance at Ben and Wrustoiz.
Suddenly, Crisol, who was looking at her phone, jumps out of her seat.
Pipeta: IM waiting u out the ship. Where you @?
"What!? I must have gone hours ago! Sorry, guys, but it was a pleasure to be with you. May our paths cross soon. Rosa, tell me please what they do."
She runs away, and out the tank she activates a Coke-and-Mentos jetpack.
"GODDAMN PIPETA, I TOLD YOU PICK ME AT THE TANK...!"

Three freaking ghosts!

Deciding now might be as good a time as any to propose the gamble he had in mind, Ben clears his throat.
"Who said anything about needing to challenge him directly? What if one or a few of us were to find a way aboard Laxin's flagship and eliminate him from within? With him dead, Imperial forces would be thrown into disarray and most likely retreat back to Dromund Kaas or Korriban," he says. "Yes, it's quite possibly one of the riskiest ploys in galactic history. If we succced, however, we'll have ended this war once and for all."
He casts a glance at Wrusotiz, predicting that he would immediately reject the suggestion without a second thought.
"Well, let's hear it. Say whatever "your plan would destroy us all, naive Jedi fool" speech you have rehearsed and get it the kriff over with."
