Pietro merely shrugs in response.

"Maybe that just means you're supposed to stab the paper or something. I'll bring it up next time I run into Hisoka," he replies.

Wanda's eyes fly open, and she takes a moment to examine her surroundings. Pleased that she'd managed to enter the spirit world, she climbs to her feet and exits the training room.

"Let's see..."

As she walks down the hallway to begin her search for answers, Wanda attempts to whip up one of her signature red bolts, wondering if she could actually use her magic this time around.

After bidding farewell to BE!Tobajas, the Sons of Odin exit the Silver-Blood Inn and resume their travels.

"Hopefully he won't be as cryptic, but from what little I've seen of him I'll be surprised if he isn't."

Botar, meanwhile, finally seems to remember to drop Pilly... who at this point wasn't expecting it anymore so she falls on the ground.

"Ow!"

"... Sorry."

She just gets back up again, looking pouty for a moment before looking back at Pietro.

"Wanda's taking a long time talking to Ninten. Do you wanna get something to eat while you wait for her?"

Wanda would probably be disappointed to find that nothing happens. Last time wasn't a fluke, she really does not have access to her powers here.

As she walks down the hallway, she may notice that it seems a little different. More run-down, seemingly a bit darker all around, and parts of the walls having collapsed in places that were completely fine last time.

After less than a minute of walking, in fact, she'll come face to face with collapsed debris that's completely blocking the path forward to the rooms she and Ninten had been to last time. The debris is too large and heavy to move for a single person. Even two people would have serious trouble with moving it.

It may be best to turn around quickly. If she stays at this dead end for too long and Nightfolk or one of those giant worms shows up, she would be trapped.

Zenobia gets caught, struggling to break free of Sarah's grip.

As Sarah is slamming her down towards the ground, she uses the wind to push herself out of the Sister's arms, slipping free and watching the impact below with an appreciative whistle. She responds in kind with another explosive axe slam, stirring the winds so violently on impact with the ground that it forms tornadoes!

"Just not now, little flower," chides Floren.

Gremlin Chara stands up, seemingly intending to follow her counterpart.

Flowey subtly glances back at Floren as he's going back to Frisk, pondering to himself to keep an eye on the Blade.

Chara does float through a wall, but there's a door right next to it, so nothing's stopping Gremlin Chara from following.

Chuckling when Botar drops Pilly, Pietro gets up from his chair.

"I was about just thinking about grabbing something to eat, if you can believe it. Who knew working to bring down a whiny Nazi psychopath could work up an appetite?"

With that, he heads off to the base's cafeteria.

Frowning, Wanda attempts to conjure one of her bolts a few more times before ultimately giving up. She didn't like being powerless in such a nightmarish place, but she wouldn't let it stop her. Not when she had questions that needed answering.

As she heads further and further down the hallway, she can't help noticing how much different it looked compared to her first visit. Had one of the monsters gone on a rampage recently? She hoped she wouldn't have to find out the hard way.

Then she reaches the room she and Ninten had been to. Or rather, the pile of rubble blocking it off. Sighing, Wanda turns on her heel and begins heading back the other way.

"If only I could use my magic in this godforsaken place..."

About twenty seconds later, before Wanda even gets back to her original starting point, a part of the nearby right wall disintegrates. A bit of light seems to shine through, meaning that Wanda will be able to take a peek outside.

... though going by the known layout of Pseudo's base, which these halls seem to mimic, they should be underground, under the mountains. Yet here there's clearly light shining inside, as if the broken part of the wall somehow does lead to the outside.

Upon noticing part of a wall disintegrating, Wanda stops dead in her tracks.

"Wait a minute... I thought Pseudo's base was supposed to be underground. So where the hell is that light coming from?"

Remaining cautious, she approaches the wall in question and attempts to peer through the newly-formed hole.

Looking outside would reveal a long path that, after a while, splits off into a forest and a large hill. There are no mountains in sight, and the shape of the land looks nothing like the actual island that Pseudo's base is on.

It may also suddenly dawn on her that, unlike last time she and Ninten got here, she didn't start out in a dream-like state of the Arena before the world shifted into this creepy realm. She got in the realm from the start. And judging by how Ninten described his dreams to have gone, it seems the same happened to him.

Beat

The hole in the wall is large enough to climb through. But there doesn't appear to be any indication that the other path through the hallway has caved in anywhere. What way should she go? It's all up to her.

Wanda stares out at the path leading outside for a moment, then glances back at the other path through the hallway. On the one hand, she was admittedly curious as to what was out there. Maybe that was where she'd find what she came for. But on the other hand, there was no evidence that the latter route had been blocked off by rubble.

"This would be a lot easier if I had someone to check out the other hallway..."

Hoping that she wouldn't end up regretting her choice, Wanda climbs through the hole in the wall, then begins walking down the lengthy path towards the forest and the hill. All the while, she looks around at her new surroundings, just in case there were any Nightfolk or giant worms out here as well.

Deeper Layer

Walking down the path and looking around, she'll find that there's some smaller hills to both her left and right. There's also a small fence that, especially compared to Pseudo's base, looks to be in pristine condition.

Despite the light that shone through the hole in the wall, the sky is cast in such gray that, under normal circumstances, one would be expecting a storm to come. There is no rain anywhere though.

She may get a fright when she'll eventually see a cluster of Nightfolk standing on a faraway hill to the right, looking right at her. But if she looks at them long enough, she should be able to come to a puzzling realization...

They aren't moving towards her. They're looking, and she'll know they are because they'll move their heads to keep staring right at her as Wanda continues to walk, but they are keeping their distance.

She'll eventually come to the crossroads. Forest to the right (and thus closer to the Nightfolk) and the large hill to the left. And, of course, the base is back the way she came.

As she takes in everything around her, from the grey sky to the fence that was in surprisingly good shape, Wanda catches sight of the Nightfolk staring right her. Jumping in surprise, she grips the hilt of her sword... only to realize that they weren't advancing on her. Relieved, she continues on her way until she reaches the crossroads.

After a moment of contemplation, she heads into the forest, figuring she could investigate the hill afterwards.

The Nightfolk continue to stare all the way through until she enters the forest, yet still do not approach despite how much close to them Wanda is now.

The forest itself is dark and eerie, more unnerving than any area in this realm Wanda had been to before. Luckily, the path, while overgrown with some plants at parts, continues to just go straight. No sudden turns that could result in her getting lost and trapped, but a clear way forward.

It would take at least ten minutes to walk all the way through, but eventually she would emerge on the other side of the forest... and find herself at a beach. The sand spreads in both directions for several miles, and the water in the sea is completely black. The area appears to be just as dark as the forest itself, despite the fact that there are no more trees to block light.

But she won't be totally in the dark here. There is a lone lighthouse nearby. A functional one, considering a ray of light emits from the glass casing up top. Seemingly a safe haven within this dark realm.

... Then again, with light as bright as this ray, surely there are Nightfolk or other creatures that can see it too. There are none around right now, but there is no guarantee that this will stay this way.

The entrance door is open. Entering the lighthouse is an option. But it'd be up to her.

Both Frisk and Flowey just stare with the most dumbfounded expressions ever conceived upon hearing Floren's reveal.

"... wait, you guys thought he was a girl?", Alphys asks, looking so genuinely confused that she clearly recognized Floren as a boy from the moment they all first saw him.

While she was beyond glad that the path through the forest was straightforward, Wanda remains alert throughout her entire stroll, half-expecting a monster to jump her at any moment. Upon reaching the beach, her gaze flickers from the miles of sand and murky black water to the lighthouse.

Hoping that the lone building in this area might contain something, she walks over to the lighthouse and heads through the entrance. She just hoped there weren't any Nightfolk waiting inside to greet her.

The room inside is small, but empty. It would take her only about ten steps to have completely gone across the room and to the ladder leading up.

The next floor would be the exact same as the ground floor. The floor above that one, however, has a painting in it.

It's a painting of a book that Wanda has never seen before. There are no words on the cover that would indicate anything. The book in the painting does, however, look old.

Suddenly, Wanda would hear what sounds like a pair of screams. Not any montrous screeches like the ones from the Nightfolk, but actual screams. Human screams. And they don't sound familiar, though they do sound young.

Should she choose to try to see what's going on, she can either go up one more floor (where she'll end up in the glass casing with the light) or she can go back down two floors and exit the lighthouse.

After going up the first two ladders, Wanda notices the panting of what appeared to be a rather old book. Walking up to said painting, she takes a moment to examine it.

"Nothing here. Maybe if I could use my magic, scanning it would-"

Her train of thought is cut off, however, when screams that sounded unsettlingly human cause her to jump in surprise.

"...What the hell?"

For all she knew, it could be meant to lure her into a trap, and she promised Ninten that she wouldn't take any unnecessary risks. But those screams sounded young...

After a moment, Wanda pulls her sword free from its sheathe and heads up to the lighthouse's top floor. If it was a trap, she could always just hurry back down. And if part of the trap involved blocking the exit, well, she'd break through the glass and pray that the ocean wasn't filled with monsters.

Heading out to the top would allow Wanda a surprisingly far view of the area. The light ray is right besides her, but it wouldn't get in the way of her vision.

The screams seemed to have come from a part of the forest, which makes it impossible to see what the ones screaming look like. However, she may notice what appears to be a trail of leaves being kicked up incredibly rapidly, the trail moving deeper into the forest and towards the other side of it. It's looking like, whoever they were, they likely escaped.

... but... that trail was much, much faster than any normal person could have ran. And Wanda would definitely recognize that, considering that her own brother has super speed. Does that mean that, whoever they were...

She wouldn't have much time to think, because if she were to look downwards, at the beach, she'd see a horde of Nightfolk sauntering towards the entrance to the lighthouse. Hell, with how many there already are, the chance is incredibly likely that they've already entered the lighthouse. Her emergency plan of breaking the glass and jumping into the water below may actually have to see use if she wants to escape. It's completely dark, making it impossible to see if there's anything in it and thus leaving her defenseless, but it'd be wagering a chance at being attacked versus staying here and knowing for sure she'll be attacked.

Once she reaches the top of the lighthouse, Wanda hurries to look in the direction the screaming had come from. Realizing that whoever had kicked up those leaves had escaped much more quickly than a normal person, she allows her thoughts to unreel once more.

"No... no, that couldn't have been Pietro. He was safe in Pseudo's base the last time I saw him. So who was-?"

Before she can theorize about the being's identity or even think to head back down to the entrance, she notices the horde of Nightfolk making their way towards her location. And once again, she reminded herself, she didn't have access to the magic she would normally use to fight her way out.

"Shit! Next time I run into Stark, I'm borrowing one of his suits for my next trip here!"

Without a moment to spare, Wanda moves to shatter the glass before her with a swing of her sword. She then sheathes her weapon, takes a running leap off of the lighthouse, and dives into the murky water below with a splash.

Sarah look up at Zenobia's attack but get caught in it, being slashed and blasted out of the area by the sheer power of the attack. Whistling appreciatively at the sight, she doesn't let that slow her down and immediately charge back in, attempting to hit Zenobia with a clothesline blow to the head, wrecking the ground all around them.

If that works, then a Bullet Time ensues as Sarah uses her speed to briefly make time look frozen. She switch position, raising her left arm over her head before bringing her elbow down towards Zenobia's stomach, intending to smash her deep unground. Her smile grows wider, but not in a Axe-Crazy way, moreso that she enjoys being cornered like this.

Regardless of success, the sister back off with a jump and raise her arms over her head and uses her power to get some metallic tools to fly to her fingers, which she promptly hit with lightning to imbue them with electricity.

After everyone has donned their disguises, the shuttle takes off, piloted by Sovereign, disguised with his fellow commandos as Imperial infantrymen. It soars through the air, leaving behind the MOC.

There was no opportunity for second thoughts now, fear had been cast aside the moment they took off. Now was the time for action, although it seems their objective has lost patience.

The Avenger - Hangar Bay

Wrustoiz had managed to waltz by the Imperials, using the controlled chaos of the already busy dreadnought in combination with the force, his presence was entirely unnoticeable. This dark shroud surrounding the force had only served to strengthen his own power, a smirk stretching across his face.

He chuckled to himself, a man in prison garb able to waltz out of a military dreadnought would be quite the feat, Wrustoiz was impressed with himself. His eyes wander across the hangar, his eyes eventually fixating on a lone unattended fighter at the far end of the hangar.

It looked in working order, and it was his best shot. The Sith Lord quickly made his way across the hangar, even the scarce Sith Warrior being too un-attuned to the force to notice him. Wrustoiz was enjoying this, more than he thought he would, it was comical.

He reached his mark and leaped up onto the cockpit, opening it with a swift motion of his hand and entering the fighter. Wrustoiz was quick, engaging the engine without even attempting a pre-flight check of his choice of vehicle. A choice he would probably come to regret.

It took only a few moments for him to take off, and blaze out of the hangar. Unfortunately for him, while his escape may have gone unnoticed, the unscheduled launching of a fighter, did.

And not by any normal Imperial.

The Avenger - Bridge

Lord Tenzen has taken up particular interest with the launch of the fighter. A lone officer, stood next to her, can't seem to think of an excuse.

"We've no idea why it launched, comm unit is barely functioning, and those engines could-"

He was cut off by the sudden and brutal snapping of his airway, the officer collapsing to the ground.

"I want a squadron tailing that shuttle, and someone get into contact with the detachment sent down to the detention level. I suspect an escape."

The Skies of Onyxis

A standard flight so far with no issues for the rescuers, all of them having assumedly sat in relative silence for most of the ride thus far, contemplating the mission ahead. The clones were especially out of character, having not uttered a word the whole time.

As for Zeloai, he looked down at his disguise a look of contempt forming on his covered face. He stood up, and moved his way to the cockpit. He waved open the door and beheld the gargantuan fleet above the Imperial base below.

Their target stook out like a sore thumb from size alone,

"Not any less terrifying looking at it."

A transmission hails the stolen shuttle from The Grip, and Sovereign wastes no time answering it. A small holo-image projected at the center of the inner console of an Imperial appearing. The woman spoke in a complete soft monotone, her voice higher in pitch.

"Greetings shuttle can you transmit proper authorization codes, identification number, and why the hell you're in my airspace?"

Sovereign rested his hands on the steering and engaged in conversation, his helmet muffling his voice enough to not be recognized, not that the clones did much speaking in front of the Imperials on their ops anyway.

"We're here with some prisoners, caught a few of the rebels trying to plant explosives in the fuel depot we have setup in Riften."

A surprised expression dawns on her face, soon replaced with a slight smirk and a more happy tone when she speaks again.

"I shall inform the Emperor then, have them separated in different detention blocks immediately."

She looks down at a console for a moment,

"Codes received, you may dock."

"Understood."

The comlink fizzles out, and Sovereign lets out a relieved sigh.

"Well, easy part's out of the way now. Everybody ready?"

Ben follows Zeloai into the shuttle's cockpit, fully garbed in the signature black attire of a dark side acolyte while both his lightsaber and one of the stolen Sith lightsabers hang from his belt. Gazing through the viewport, his eyes go wide at the sight of the massive Imperial fleet.

"By the Force..."

As Sovereign converses with the officer, he takes a moment to calm his nerves. They had a plan, and provided this whole operation wasn't an elaborate ruse meant to lure them into a trap, he wouldn't need to worry about all of those guns blasting their hijacked craft into oblivion.

Turning to Sovereign once the transmission ends, he answers the clone commando with a nod before raising the hood of his robe.

"As ready as I'll ever be, soldier. May the Force be with us."

After walking back into the rear of the shuttle, he goes up to Terra and Aqua, plastering on a grin as he adopts a raspy tone of reminiscent of Sidious' voice.

"With this, my disguise is finally complete, my friends. The ignorant fools will never think to search for us amongst their own ranks!" he says, laughing before going back to speaking normally. "So, did I sound arrogant and bloodthirsty enough to pass as a Sith?"

Terra and Raeii exchange a glance through their helmets.

  • Not bad.
  • You make it too obvious.
  • Needs more.

"Try comparing them to sniveling worms and saying, 'by the time they find out, it'll be toooooo laaaaaate! Mwahahahaha!' Like that."

Terra stifles a chuckle.

Zenobia takes the clothesline and is sent flying, but she's fast enough to keep up with Sarah even now.

Rubble, debris and wind, which seems frozen from how fast they are. She flings herself off of a 'floating' rock to avoid the elbow drop and into a tornado, seizing it with her axe and flying at Sarah while dragging the whirlwind with her, bending it towards Sarah as she swings to try and fling her into a tailspin with the torrential winds.

Chara is visibly about to make another 'WHAT' screech, but Floren puts a hand on her mouth to shut her up.

"Zip! Stop it!"

F!Mettaton, sitting in a corner after reverting to box mode to escape Gremlin Chara, stirs slightly at the revelation.

The fleet ahead was nothing Angel had not seen before, but it had been a long time. Her world was so deep in its stagnancy that nobody had really had the opportunity to do anything like this for... yeah, a while. The sheer magnitude of it all was enough to impress even her. And at its heart, The Grip, standing as the centerpiece. A ship like that could pack enough firepower to glass a planet faster than you could say "hullaballoo"... or maybe worse.

Hearing Sovereign, Angel responds with a quick. "Never not ready... sometimes not quite ready ready, but I think I'm ready ready."

She listens in on Ben's impression, and thinks it's way better than they're giving him credit for. "I don't know, I think he did pretty well. Sent shivers down my spine just hearing it.". This sounds kind of like sarcasm, but her genuine smile sells that is isn't quite.

Sarah quickly get back up and notices the tornado spin and punch forward, dispelling it with the strength of her attack. Then, moving swiftly again, she uses the material on her hands to block the axe-bare handed, blood and sparks flowing out of her hands.

Instead of getting too pissy about it though, she attempts to immediately headbutt Zenobia. If this happens, the resulting shockwave blows away all but the largest debris and hurl the Blade kilometers away. Sarah then grab the largest debris available and leap very far up in the air before attempting to crash down at her enemy, a cone of fire forming around her attack.

Wanda ends up doing so just in the nick of time, as Nightfolk appear from the stairway literally the second after she jumps. With Wanda gone, they just stare.

Once she lands in the water, she'll find that, at the very least, the only difference is the color. It feels just as easy to swim in as regular water, and since the lighthouse wasn't that tall, she won't have hurt herself upon hitting the water. The only thing to be nervous about is that she can't see what's below her, so if there's monsters there, or if those Bottom Feeders can swim, then she's risking ending up like the opening scene to every shark horror movie.

Nightfolk have gathered on the beach, though none of them enter the water. A good sign or a bad one? Nevertheless, they don't move away either, which means that swimming back to shore isn't an option right now.

"Alphys? You could tell?", Frisk asks.

"Y-yeah. I've seen a lot of anime, s-so, well, it's easy for me to notice.", she says.

"So wait, why couldn't you tell?", Flowey asks Frisk, who just looks confused.

"Why would I be able to tell? I haven't watched nearly as much anime as Alphys."

"Not because of that, because you...", Flowey starts, though pauses when Frisk starts looking annoyed.

"... because I... what, Flowey?"

"... erm..."

Flowey retreats underground once more. Frisk sighs, then turns back to Floren.

"Sorry about that. We didn't mean to offend you.", they say to him.
