Dedf1sh walked into an arts and crafts store of all things, and came back out a few minutes later with a pair of scissors, attempting to cut the wires off of her hands

"Why are these wires so strong?"

Her voice wasn't as cold and commanding as it once was, not exactly a warm voice but it wasnt evil sounding.

Seemed the scissors weren't strong enough to cut through her wires, and she tossed them in the trash, beggining to walk again

Pepsiman grants those who requested complimentary Pepsi™, in can form.

With this done, Pepsiman takes a moment to think on their next course of action. "Obviously, we have to find this evildoer before they can steal the faces of any more innocent people! Who is with me?"

Hm? Oh I paid them. People will do anything for a reward! He chuckles, pleased with having a fan. Gather some folks, promise them a lot of money if they build you actual... an actual castle out of cards, and they'll just grin and ask "with a throne, good sir?"

He then ponders. I'm an old ghoul. I can't really fight. I could get Grog to help but he's... absent.

Argalia shakes his head    "First, I cannot fathom that small hamlet being called a city. Secondly, I have no quarrel with this settlement. In fact, I don't know what this place is...   

Argalia locks eyes with Ruby, before saying    "Lastly, a question for you. Do you have any affiliation with roland, or the library?"

Te sips her can.

Ahhh... An ability like yours could be useful in our quest.

"It was a city by the standards of the people who built it."

Ruby cocks her head at Argalia's question. "... No. Why?"

"Hmmmm..." The girl taps her chin with a pen, studying the people around her.

She then points the pen at Stanislas. "Your history says you were modified by Neptune."

Oh god, she's another one of them. "I could... temporarily... augment you into a super-cool, powerful and suave monster!"

Agent 8 fires a shot. However, she hesitates, and thus fails to actually hit Dedf1sh, leaving a very visible line of reddish ink from the former's location to the latter.

Uh-oh.

Dedf1sh seemed a bit worried, she could defend herself against 8 of course, but didn't really have the drive or want to fight.

She spoke, still plain English given she hadn't adjusted back to octoling.

"I'm not here to eliminate you"

Jin stands up.

"Wait. I will... help too. If I am given the chance, I will cut through this unknown specter. Additionally, I may know a way to find out where they've gone."

Pepsiman gives a thumbs-up in approval. After all, it's not like this guy has a murder problem or anything? Right? Right guys? Haha?

"Well, that's a load off of my mind. With our power combined, there's no way this mysterious dark thingy will stand a chance!"

Oh? You speak my language then! I'd love to have a body that's strong and healthy again! When I was young and human... oh christ, I was strong! I would've been a strongman, but I find that luck favors wisemen! He laughs cockily and light up a cig.

.... Wait shit it hasn't favored me at all.

The 3 girls shout with emotion: YEEEAAHH!!

After that, they pose a la Ginyu: We are the Tateti Triplets!

Ta...

Together: Nice to meet you!!

Argalia nods to Ruby.    "I see, first of all, that lack of affiliations means we're not enemies. Secondly, this city is smaller than an entire district, but I suppose to the ones who made it, this neighbourhood constitutes a city."   

Argalia looks to Ruby, before saying    "What does this city mean to you, anyhow? I can tell you're not from here, and not from the city, or any of the corporations nests... the fact you don't know who I am tells me that much."   

He then quickly asks    "Would you mind telling me who you are, and where we are?"   

"My name is Ruby Rose. This place is Riften. I can't tell you what it means to me; that's classified info," she says teasingly.

The girl starts madly writing in her notebook. "If nothing is off the table, then I'll just start by combining every shark!"

Stanislas first turns into what looks like a humanoid hammerhead shark, then his arms sprout tooth-like spines akin to a sawshark. Then his left hand becomes something like a goblin shark's mouth, granting it the ability to shoot forward.

"Add a defensive layer..."

His ribs suddenly splay out and morph together into a turtle shell.

"And for the finishing touch, a super move!"

He can now spray his toxic, irradiated blood from his eyes like the horned lizard. After it's all said and done, he looks like an abomination from the depths, but he will feel like a mighty god.

"... Is that so?"

Agent 8 raises her Charger and jumps down to the floor below.

"I know who you are... who you were."

Stanislas the ghoul wereshark rises!

NYYYARRGGHHH RAW POWER FLOWS THROUGH MY VEINS ONCE MORE! NOW TO CRUSH COMMUNIST PUSSIES! He yells, before running off into a random direction, blasting through an house.

Pepsiman gives another enthusiastic thumbs-up, this time at the Tateti Triplets.

"Then we have no time to lose! Lets pursue this dastardly fiend!"

Pepsiman then clears his... throat?

"Hey, edgy guy, tell us where we're going, maybe?"

Jin can't help but groan, pinching his nose in absolute disbelief towards the level of sheer tonal disconnect he is experiencing.

"I need to get up to where the shadow vanished, first."

"Then allow me!"

In a single, strong movement, Pepsiman tosses Jin into the air, just kind of hoping things work out from there.

For his part, Jin doesn't seem to actively protest being picked up and thrown like a spear, but he certainly doesn't look to like it very much. In the air, he swiftly turns, an explosion of sheer, violent cold erupting around him. He himself freezes in place, and he tries to decipher something about the location the shadow teleported to.

It... sort of works. He knows how teleporting is done, though has seen very little of it himself. In his brief battle with... them, he had seen much of it. Enough to understand how to trace where a target ended up after performing one, at least.

The shadow had gone south... south... to Ivarstead!

Jin then falls from the sky without much control, making a decidedly inelegant superhero landing that clearly causes him some pain.

"They've gone towards Ivarstead. We have no choice but to pursue on foot.", he says, standing up straight.

Argalia quickly says    "Word of advice, saying that something is classified only makes someone more curious. Simply saying "I'm currently living here" would be enough to make someone less curious. But now I know there's something to hide."   

Argalia smirks.    "Where are my manners? My name is Argalia, recognized by the hana association, corporations A through Z, and the entire city I come from as "The Blue Reverberation."   

He makes a polite bow, like that of a conductor of an orchestra, seeming... slightly insane, yet well mannered, in his transition between an indication that Ruby let on more than she should have, to an introduction.

   "I am hoping you don't have any artifacts of importance that other groups present may be seeking, if that's what is important. While I would not share such information with this group, a certain band of what I presume to be mercenaries has recently taken interest in such items."   

The triplets watch surprised how Pepsiman throws Jin towards the sky. Seems too funny!

After hearing him, Ta said: Ivarstead. Got it.

Te: We'll follow you, big guy. Guide us.

"I don't recall very much. The most I remember is music"

She said, she did remember she had some form of legacy, but didn't know what it was

"I don't recall my name, but yours has been in my mind for years"

Luckily, that random direction was the south!

Vague Whiterun Area

Oca is tinkering with a... chemistry set? With a lot of computers. In the middle of nowhere. He seems frustrated.

"Are you fucking kidding me?! I can recreate a goddamn space virus from nothing but I synthesize the right isotope of sunnubora for this?"

Red is out on a stroll! He has a wittle Cosmog sleeping on his head.

"..." :D

"zzz..."

Hub Centralis, Mall

Nicole is currently playing the X-Men arcade game at the mall's local arcade, eating the occasional cheese fry as she slashes her way through hordes of enemies as Wolverine.

Vague Whiterun Area

Courne◊ is flying over the area and notices Oca down on the ground. At first, he plans on just staying in the air, but he can't help but be a bit intrigued about what Oca may be working on.

His curiosity winning out, he decides to land somewhere near Oca.

"Huh, rare to see you be frustrated by something.", he says as he lands.

Hub Centralis

"There he is.", Cara softly mutters as she watches Red from behind a corner. Which would be a little creepy if she looked intimidating in any way. ... and if Gorochu's◊ big head wasn't also peeking out from behind the corner with her.

"He seems to be on his own. ... to be fair, I guess I don't need them to be with him all the time. I just hope he's feeling up to this or I'll have to try again later..."

She walks out from behind the corner, Gorochu waddling after her while looking rather indifferent.

"Erm, excuse me! Mr. Red?", she calls out to Red, hoping to get his attention. If he looks, he might remember her and Gorochu.

Hub Centralis Mall

Trina and Roy◊ are sitting at a table at the cafe right across from the game hall, the latter finishing off a cup of coffee while looking calm while the former finishes eating a sandwich while looking impatient.

"Are you almost done? I want to get going.", she asks him after swallowing her food.

"Yeah, just finished.", Roy says as he puts his cup down. "I don't see why you're so impatient though, it's not like we have any leads yet."

"That is exactly why I'm impatient.", Trina angrily says, getting up from her chair. "We have been searching for two years now and still nothing at all."

"Well, we haven't had much chance to look over time, considering all these disastrous things that kept happening. Galeem, those Cyber Angels, and then that one evil god."

"Set, dummy."

"Right, Set. I'm not really well-versed on Egyptian stuff.", he says as he gets up as well, leaving a tip.

"I say we just start doing things my way. We kidnap some people and make them give us information."

"You know why that isn't an option, Trina. Information may leak out and we'll just make ourselves look suspicious. Remember our mission, we need to be as discreet as possible."

"Ugh.", Trina groans, not really having a comeback to that.

"Now let's just go to that gaming hall. Those tend to have a lot of people in them most of the time, maybe we can overhear them talking."

"Sure. Just don't start wasting money on them.", Trina says as she starts walking, Roy then doing the same, entering the hall a few seconds later.

He deigns to look up from his work.

"Oh, heya."

"Science is hard, man. I haven't been fucked in the ass by a problem like this since I had to figure out how to make my teleporter work on an inter-multiversal level."

Oca holds up a shard of a dull, gold-looking metalloid.

"This is sunnubora - a pseudo-magical material with the ability to completely disrupt the flow of ki. I'm trying to find a way to structure it so as to be as tough as katchin without compromising that property."

"Oh! Hey!"

He seems a tiny bit put-out, but he hides it well enough.

"What's up?"

After dispatching her remaining foes and reaching a certain point in the current level, Nicole finds herself facing none other than Juggernaut.

"Alright... let's show him why you're the best there is what'cha do, Logan."

She wolfs down her remaining cheese fries, hurls the empty container into a nearby trash can, and cracks her neck before sending Wolverine charging into the boss fight. Given that she's currently focused on the game, she doesn't yet notice Roy and Trina entering the arcade.

"Mercenaries?"

Ruby suddenly gets serious. "Describe them."

"You were DJ Dedf1sh. That music you remember... it's probably the music you made."

Agent 8 looks at the floor. "It really hurt me when I had to kill you before."

Mall Arcade

A specific part of the arcade is suddenly reduced to a smoldering crater, occupied by some random NPC cowering in fear before a demonic-looking girl◊ who seethes with anger.

   "For the last time, STOP KILLSTEALING!"    she roars.

Courne raises an eyebrow and looks the sunnubora over.

"Sounds dangerous as all hell if you manage to make it work. Be sure that the Time Patrol doesn't confiscate it for themselves if they happen to hear about it."

"AHAH!", a voice suddenly rings out from the air. Courne looks startled for a moment, then looks like he's done with life itself.

"... goddamnit.", he mutters as he glances up for a moment, seeing Viche◊ descend as well. Courne then looks back at Oca.

"... you know my opinion of you, but I'm still sorry for you that you have to be here for this..."

Viche lands, crossing his arms and looking cocky.

"Running off on your own, huh? Didn't know you were scared."

"I'm not scared, I'm annoyed. By you. ... you're annoying.", Courne says, looking and sounding deadpan.

Viche just grins, then appears intrigued when he sees Oca.

"Who're you?"

Cara shyly twiddles with her fingers.

"S-sorry if I interrupted you. I was just wondering... I know I said I'm not nearly as good a trainer as you are, but... would you maybe want to have a Pokemon battle anyway? I'm curious just how great the gap between our skills really is."

Gorochu glances up at the sleeping Cosmog and seems to actually show a small smile for once.

As Roy and Trina start wandering around with the intent on listening in on people, Roy can't help but notice how intensely Nicole is playing. Unable to help himself, he walks over to her arcade machine and watches her play, looking as entranced as a child would and remaining silent, so at least he wouldn't be distracting her.

He doesn't even notice the epic entrance happening a little bit further into the arcade. Trina does though, and she immediately heads over to the location, though tries to remain hidden between and behind the arcade machines.
