Akainu shield himself from the attacks with a wall of magma deployed from his shoulder, but seemingly underestimate Vanitas's speed: The Admiral is struck in the shoulder, though what spews out of his shoulder is more magma than blood. In fact, as his body reforms, it becomes apparent that his Logia fruit allowed him to walk away from that with a notable but still survivable wound to the body.

You can slice through my defenses? Intriguing.

Akainu lashes out with a wild lava haymaker, widening the range and power of his strike by transforming his arm into a wide lava claw.

   "Too slow."    Vanitas turns into a blurring 'bolt' of darkness that arcs around behind Akainu before returning to normal. He then lunges at Akainu with an overhead slash, but afterwards freezes in place. Then another Vanitas appears and does a follow-up strike as the first one disappears in a poof of black flame, sort of like an afterimage trick - except this afterimage can harm.

"It's not really armor," Aqua remarks, watching the current 1v1. "Most Keyblade wielders use small amounts of magic to create a barrier over their bodies that prevents serious injury, but our combined attack overwhelmed his version of that and allowed you to cut through. Underneath that suit is little more than living darkness with a face."

As he watches Vanitas go straight for Akainu, Ben listens intently to Aqua's explanation.

"I see... how effective do you think that ploy will be while he's distracted? Provided, of course, he doesn't summon any copies to intercept the blow for him," he replies.

Akainu keep track of Vanitas's attack and raise his arm to stop it, cladding it in black armor thick enough to stop the keyblade outright. When the second Vanitas attack, the Admiral react by jumping over his attack and put his hands in his pockets, though his face remains very grim so he's probably not toying around. Either way, he land on the ground with enough raw might to shatter it, and avoid the clone's explosion.

He does notice the blast though, and actually tilt his head to the side. Oh? So you fights with tricks?

Sakazuki raise his left hand and does a casual palm strike outwards, without so much as a grunt. It sends an invisible wave of Emission Armament Haki that, like Luffy's, will explode violently after a few meters of distance. If it hit Vanitas, it'll pass through him before trying to explode from within. At the same time, Akainu raise his fist, transform it into an enormous lava arm, and toss it forward, intending to burn Vanitas to death with it. It's so strong that it sails past him even if he's struck and flies into the distance, melting through whatever it hit.

Akainu then regenerate his stump, forming a new arm out of it, without so much as blinking. He clench his fist to see if it's a good replacement first though.

Angel is... not doing anything. She doesn't much care about the goings-on, at least outwardly. Inwardly, she does care, but has neither the opportunity nor the patience to express it at the moment. Besides, intervening might cause unforeseen consequences.

Also, she's busy pondering on the taste of apple florgaborb. Don't ask what that is, I don't know either.

   "Not a chance."    Vanitas once again does the funny darkness-bolt-dodge, ending up in the air above Akainu this time. He floats there for a few seconds, then swings his Keyblade, sending massive crescent arcs of black-and-white energy from it, which furthermore rotate as they fly to make them harder to avoid.

"I'm not sure. He's very good at sensing incoming danger."

"I have a safer idea." Terra moves towards Akainu to get his attention. "Aqua, Ben, hold him down with your powers and let the two of us strike him together. You in for that plan, big guy?"

Akainu leans back and does an uppercut, hurling his giant lava fist upward and just burning through the attacks on his way as he tries to hit Vanitas with it. This at least fend off the move though!

When Terra propose his plan, Akainu stare at him briefly and express his approval by once again transforming his arms into lava, nodding slowly.

"He really does have a lot in common with the Sith. Replace his Keyblade with a lightsaber, and you could easily mistake him for one of the Emperor's agents," Ben muses before nodding in agreement with Terra's plan.

Turning his attention to Vanitas, he thrusts out his free hand and attempts to hold him in place with the Force.

Vanitas manages to slip past the uppercut. When he feels Ben's hold on him, he starts stomping towards him, dragging his feet but refusing to stop, until Aqua contributes with Graviga, creating a miniature event horizon centered on Vanitas that causes the ground to shatter beneath his increased weight like he was hit by Echoes Three Freeze. He collapses, immobilized.

Terra aims his Keyblade at Vanitas and begins to build up focus.

"Lightning Ray!"

He then takes off, clad in lightning, dashing through Vanitas back and forth over and over and over and over and over and over and over again! He waits for Akainu's attack, and delivers a finishing electric slash in tandem with it!

Akainu does the amazingly complex tactic of wrapping his arm in magma, coating it in haki, and punching with the intent of spearing through his foe's body, intending on donuting them.

MEIGO! He yells, as he strive to impale Vanitas on his right arm.

Ben continues to maintain his telekinetic grip on Vanitas, even as the latter begins advancing on him. When Aqua joins in to completely bring Vanitas to a halt, he watches as Terra and Akainu move to execute the next part of the attack.

Vanitas gets combo'd hard, unable to fight back.

Unfortunately, him being down on all fours, hitting him through the chest isn't an option. Fortunately, the combined attack is still plenty strong enough to send him flying into a wall, obliterating his mask on impact and revealing his face.◊

Darkness leaks out of the cracks in his suit, but he quickly heals it.    "Well, what an accomplishment. You made me angry."    He stabs Void Gear into the floor and pulls himself up by it, then launches several orbs of roiling darkness up into the air. They fall towards his foes in slow, parabolic arcs... until he launches identical orbs straight forward and much faster. When the second orbs hit the first, the first orbs split into several smaller homing fireball-like blasts, setting up for a one-two punch.

Terra blocks the directly fired orb aimed at him, but the splitting orbs send him down on one knee.

Aqua vanishes completely to dodge the large orb and reappears in a burst of frost, dispelling the homing orbs.

Your anger is no more concerning than a child's wrath, to me. Akainu raise his hand and his eyes briefly glow red before he shoot his Haki forward to form a powerful barrier, blocking the blasts headed his way. It does briefly freeze him in place, but he does fine at avoiding damage, and extend the protection to Terra even.

Up! He orders, before dispelling the barrier. Taking the initiative for Terra, Akainu raise his finger and shoot forth several lava projectiles, using his Observation Haki to enhance his eyesight as he keep up with a steady stream... until he start to swing his fist, at least, hurling straightforward lava hands again.

Raising his sapphire-blue lightsaber, Ben deflects the orbs heading towards him. The splitting orbs, however, hit him squarely in the chest and knock him off the ledge.

"Kriff!"

He hits the floor beside Alduin's Wall with a pained grunt, his lightsaber tumbling from his grasp.

Vanitas goes reeling from Akainu's lava shots and punches, proving he's not as unstoppable as he was letting on.

   "You wish!"   

In the middle of it all, he slips free with a quick teleport, then blasts the top off the Sky Haven Temple, exposing the evening sun above as countless Keyblades come flying in from above in a coordinated stream that moves through the air like a snake, with Vanitas now riding his Void Gear like a surfboard at the front of it. Unlike Void Gear, Master's Defender or Ends of the Earth, which share the same 'energy' as their wielders when sensed, these Keyblades don't have any sort of presence. They've been reduced from arcane weapons of mass destruction to just fancy swords.

Terra nods to Akainu, then looks up at Vanitas. "That's his Desperation Attack. Prepare yourselves for a lot of dodging, everyone."

"How did he even bring all those Keyblades from the Graveyard?"

Well, that at least explains why the blades feel... empty, for lack of a better word.

Akainu shake his head when Terra bring up dodging and point at Ben.

... You. Boy. You can wield an energy similar to mine. Could you form a barrier? I will add mine to it if you can. If you can't, though, do not even bother replying. A simple nod will suffice.

Akainu raise both hands and emit his Haki again, forming an invisible wall. He'd do the usual Logia dodge, but he figure that it's way too many projectiles for him to dodge confortably without losing his mass at some point. Better deflect it all.

"Just think about it."

A woman with a large... red witch hat disappears, leaving Ansem alone with his thoughts.

Ansem:    "How interesting... But I have other matters to attend to."   

Ansem hangs back, as if waiting for something.

As he climbs to his feet, Ben calls his lightsaber back to his hand, then answers Akainu with a simple nod.

"I'm no Revan or Grandmaster Shan, but I should be able to create one strong enough to withstand his assault."

Igniting his weapon's sky-blue blade, he deflects the first couple of Keyblades, leaps back over to the others just in time to evade several more, and throws up the strongest barrier of Force energy he can muster. While he was curious as to what Aqua meant by this Graveyard, he figured it might be better to ask her and Terra for details once they didn't have Vanitas to worry about.

Vanitas rides the Keyblade wave high into the sky, then stops in midair, floating as the Keyblades swirl around him like a ball of death.

   "Despair!"   

Swarms of Keyblades fly out of the ball and smash against the wall, then pitch-black copies of Vanitas emerge from the points of impact with slashes before dispersing, putting even more pressure on the defenders. And it doesn't let up, constantly sending more and more Keyblades, and shadow copies with them.

Inexorably, it begins to start pushing through...

Aqua and Terra cast Reflega, adding their own barriers to strengthen the defense, but it won't last. Terra looks around for a way out of the constant bombardment...

And his eyes land on Angel. He silently pleads for her to do something, if she can.

Leesarix approaches Ansem.

Killer Bat hides within Leesarix's shadow, wanting to wait with showing himself until they've reached Ansem.

Angel meets eyes with Terra, and understands immediately.

"No, bad"

Angel raises a hand, and the entire attack slows to a crawl, almost unmoving in the air like it is moving through a super viscous liquid. The copies, the keyblades, they are left as almost non-threats.

With this, Angel rushes forward, nearly instantly appearing in front of Vanitas. Now properly situated in front of them, Angel punches them in the stomach really, really hard.

Ben continues to maintain his Force barrier in the face of the seemingly unending barrage, though the effort of keeping it from outright shattering causes him to drop to one knee. Before he can say anything to Aqua or Terra, though, Angel suddenly freezes the rain of Keyblades in midair and slaps Vanitas.

"By the Force..."

Hrm. I will melt them away all in an instant. Keep up the barrier.

Akainu pull his arm back and then the thing happens.

Ansem notices Leesarix's approach, nodding to them as if to inquire on what they've been up to.

Vanitas is frozen in a look of manic, sadistic glee until the punch.

Upon fist-to-body contact, he gets blown into Alduin's Wall, smashing through the mural and sending the Keyblades unceremoniously clattering to the ground.

He lies there, slumped over, seemingly gasping for breath that will not come.

"... Whoa."

   "I believe we are ready. How do you intend to open the way to the Darkness?"
