Sub-Zero turns into an Ice Klone as soon as the spiked fists fly, and the real one jumps back, forming an ice spear before hurling it at the enemy.

Spike-man is confounded by the ice and almost fails to react to the spear, though at the last moment, he sprout a spike with a blunt end out of his back, using it to plant into the ground before elongating it so as to further extend himself. The spear does hit the spike itself, but it seems to be of sturdy material. It freezes, but it doesn't break!

Sophie, however, wraps her hand around his body and yank him back into the ground, causing him to bounce. Thanks to Sub-Zero's ice, Spike-Man fails to move in time to prevent that!

Quick!

Sub-Zero creates a block of ice with spikes on it in the air over the spiky man, giving Sophie a chance to get her hands out of there before it drops on his head.

Sophie does just that, and the spikes drop. The helmet ensure he's not pierced, but he is knocked out cold and drop at Sub-Zero's feet.

Nice! You're skillful with ice! Compliments Sophie, retracting her arms and giving Spike-Man one or two poke with the tip of her feet.

I think he's tuckered out.

"I will make sure he is no longer a threat," declares Sub-Zero as he walks up and places a hand at the middle of the spike-man's spine.

If Sophie wants to prevent a Fatality, she only has a moment.

Sophie makes a blurting noise and tries to yank him out!

Ah uh sorry, but we don't really kill super-villains in my line of work! Well, small-scales ones like that, unless they get really nasty. This one broke out of jail and ended up here before he could start to get his hands on civvies, so don't worry bout him!

She tilt her head to the side and it kinds of goes loopy. You're one of those vigilante guys, right? I mean, I get why some vilains deserve death, but Spike-Man's pretty chill. She grumbles the next words. And that wasn't much of a pleasant death you had in mind.

Final Destination

The Red Team sees the beckon/taunt, and Aleifr takes out a coin from his pocket during the moment of pause. He flips it in the air, then catches it. "Huh." He says as he looks, then nods to Lambert.

Once he's done, Martin takes a deep breath, then blows out a cloud of mist around himself to obscure his movements, along with his team behind him. A second passes... two seconds...

Then he jumps forward without his weapons - an odd choice, but maybe he's trying to catch Yashiro off guard with how obvious it is. While he's still in the air and a fair distance away, however, he aims his palm, and a tiny ball of light forms in front of each finger, before they shoot out in different directions. Their trajectories curve, then converge on Yashiro's position to hit him with a series of five small explosions!

Sub-Zero looks over at Sophie and lifts up his hand.

"Supervillains, eh?" He looks... oddly nostalgic.

"In that case, I will leave a warning for what happens when you toy with the Lin Kuei."

He creates shackles of ice around Spike-Man's wrists and ankles, specifically so that his limbs are stuck in an uncomfortable position.

She notes that and doesn't interfere, since he's still a villain and she doesn't want to look ungrateful for his help!

"The Lin Kuei are a clan of ninja. I am their Grandmaster, Kuai Liang." Sub-Zero puts his right palm against his left fist and bows to Sophie.

Sophie blinks in confusion but nods and imitiate him.

Oh? That must be why you're so skillful with ice. So, do they all wield ice? Or is it a specialty that you have? She says, seemingly curious.

"Some have it, some do not. However, I am the most proficient."

She stretches her arms. On my team, we have various powers, but some of the leaders have ones that are better for... behind-the-lines stuff. I'm just one stretchy gal but I strive to be kinda unique amongst them.

She scratch the middle of her back and smiles in a dumb manner. nrghhh thats the stuff.

Sub-Zero raises an eyebrow.

He then creates a back scratcher out of ice. "You're not the only one."

... Very clever. She demorphs a bit and fold her arms.

Ice is a pretty co-amazing power, ya know? But like, is it magic or do you use the moisture in the air? You also look pretty strong physically. Do you know... kung-fu?

She makes a chopping motion with her arm and a quiet "wa-yahhh"

Fighting skills are very important to heroes after all. Lots of times where you can't use your powers.

"Yes," he answers bluntly, "As well as Shotokan karate."

O-oh, make sense. Huh, what's Shotokan Karate?

"... Do you... not know what karate is?"

Sub-Zero seems genuinely confused at the idea that a superhero might not at least have heard of one of the world's most well-known martial arts.

Huh.... Nah. It's Tsuyoi-Ken in my world, why? She says, off-handedly bringing up a difference between the worlds.

It involves being like a mountain with rivers running over it. Be strong, but let stuff roll over you gently, huh, something like that.

"... I see." Sub-Zero strokes his chin.

"I have faith that you are of a strong moral quality. Would you care to join me for tea, or do you..."

He gestures to the unconscious Spike-Man. "not have time?"

Hmmm, it's fine. I just gotta make a call and he'll be picked up. She get a pink phone out of her pocket. You look like a man with an interesting story! And I like tea. Just gotta make one call.

She press on her phone and begins to talk in... an unrecognizable language at first, before glancing at Sub-Zero and quickly switching to english.

Yah it's me, it's stretchin' gal, I got spike-man with the help of a- yes, sorry, had to track him down because you were busy with Mud-Dud.

Silence.

Yeah he's tough as nuts.

Silence.

Just pick him up and we'll see, right? You're the one with the bike in the relationship.

Final Destination

While in the middle of combat, The Red Team suddenly start blinking out of the arena one by one.

"Damnit, not now..."

"Are you kidding me!?"

"Welp."

As they cannot continue the match, it looks like the New Face Team wins by default.

Sub-Zero folds his arms and waits patiently.

Eventually, a person in a biker outfit arrives. They're covered from head to toe in gear, and wear a ominous biker helmet, but Sophie still easily pat them on the back.

Yo! Huh, Spike-Man's over there.

The Biker nods and raise an arm before shooting some weird black substance out of their sleeves, seemingly absorbing Spike-Man. Sophie giggles and kiss them on the helmet, before they drive away.

Aren't her powers cooler than mine? She asks Sub-Zero.

"I could not judge, I have only seen her use them once." Sub-Zero actually chuckles.

"Now come, I will warm up the tea."
