"Wait, what?" Nebula exclaimed as she and the others entered the glorified prison cell. The conditions were definitely something none of them were expecting. An even bigger surprise was when Yharim had the restraints put on them loosened.
"If your plan was to leave us genuinely confused, then congratulations, you've succeeded," Zero remarked as he took a spot on the floor,"But if you think this will be enough to win us over, you are mistaken."

Huh, I sure do... whu? He glances at the new arrival, and cock his head to the side, clearly baffled.
Who the fuck are you? He asks, politely.
...
The Courier decide to approach forth the Sith instead of Redacted, and throws a series of punches. Somehow, his brass knuckles can match a Lightsaber's blade!

Cortex looked at the mechanical totem in awe and mischief.
Nice that he gets to use it, because he gets launched into the sky by a nicely times swing from Lucille.
Irisu sticks out her tongue as Bryan laughs to the sky, Black Bandicoot running after one half of its pilots.
It's only then that Negan actually notices the machine.
Negan: "The hell is this thing?"
Bryan: "Looks like some processing thingy... Maybe someone should throw something in it?"
Irisu shrugs and throws her rocksock in, setting it to 1:1.
"DIO is the ultimate being! The being of the future! Dare you not to rival me!"Output: A single rock with the combined mass and material composition of the rocks in the input. Volume is far greater, suggesting a hollow structure, and when shaken, the sound of cloth rubbing against stone is audible from inside.
The figure climbs out of the portal.
"Eh, hello! I'm just a... a researcher, you could say! Also engineer, magi-physicist, and leading expert in the unending quest to determine the nature and limits of Imagination."
He glows blue for a second, then turns into a human.
◊ "You can call me Doctor Overbuild."

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to." "All in due time, Miles." Yharim turned around, stepping back into the airlock-like exit along with the guards. "For now, I am sure you all have much to discuss. Rest assured, I will be back. Farewell."
With that, the door slid back into place and locked, leaving them to their own devices.
Draedon seemed to have all but forgotten Zoro's presence for the moment, focusing instead on Overbuild. He approached the new arrival, dispelling his sword and crouching down to more closely examine him.
"Doctor Overbuild... A fellow man of science, then? And an engineer, at that."
He offered a handshake with one of his rather, uh, huge hands.
"Draedon. Head scientist and mechanic under the Lord Yharim. Pleasure to meet you, doctor."
You did just interrupt a fight. Zoro points to his wounds and the marks on the ground left in the wake of his attacks.
... I guess I should present myself beforehand. I'm Roronoa Zoro, do ya want to fight as well? He seems to be blue-balled, even if the doctor certainly saved his life.
Nautolan picture belongs to Bonesmarinated on twitterDoc Overbuild shakes Draedon's hand. While only looking at Zoro instead of the towering, imposing machine.
"Actually, I would rather not fight, but if you wouldn't mind a mission that may or may not involve some action, there's a missing colleague of mine I'd like someone to look for."

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."The Sith matched the courier for several blows until one of the Courier's brass knuckles thrust into Ranus's helmet, cracking the glass visor. Ranus lost his form, a singular shard of glass falling into the murky water. The Sith Lord groaned in rage, he was dazed but only for a moment. His fury welled, pulling him from his temporary haze in a focused rush of adrenaline. Ranus moved in a blur, rising his blood-red blade to attempt to slice the Courier through the throat.
"I am Lord Ranus, did you not hear? A Lord of the Sith."

Ricardo's Diner
Syana finished her root beer and did an alarming quick mental calculation of how much money she would need to pay, leaving exact change and a tip.
"That is indeed our transportation, piloted by Captain Hael Storm. He's no slouch in strength, though he does have some interesting quirks of personality. With our capabilities, I have no doubts that we'll conquer whatever powers stand before us."
Syana adjusted her neck, producing noises not unlike those of a human popping their neck.
"I hate to rush, but I'm quite eager to get things underway — and I suspect that you're all quite interested to get on with it as well, no?"

"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalousRedacted saw the strike heading for the Courier, his hands morphing today normal, and dipping into the swamp’s mud, suddenly, a wall of mud got between the saber and the Courier, as soon as the saber touched it, the mud gardens into a carbon fiber mesh, hopefully stopping the strike right there.

"Just a humble peasant looking for work~"The construct descends, revealing it to be an entire, functioning, flying rowboat. Captain Hael Storm stands on the bow of the ship, looking down cheekily at those below.
Overbuild gives Draedon a Quizzical Tilt.
"That is what I said, yes. What of it?"

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Of course! With our powers combined, nothing can stop us! Except someone with similar powers to us I guess, because unstoppable force and all!
... I think they actually gave you beer.
They look up and Kakashi does look impressed this time. So does Sophie, who waves back at Hael.
...
The Courier steel himself but is saved by Redacted, whom he... thanks, with a thumbs up. Then, he attempts to get around the wall and attempts to do what he does best, again, though he's mindful of the Lightsaber, since it did nearly pierce through the defense and he knows that his mere helmet won't protect him.
> (Attack) And I'm the lord of New Vegas!
> Yeah you are sith huehue!
Nautolan picture belongs to Bonesmarinated on twitterNebula waited until Yharim's footsteps had faded away before letting out a sigh of relief,"Finally. I thought we'd never get a moment's peace from that guy's recruitment pitch," She turned to the others,"Alright, guys. Let's spread out and find something we can use to get these cuffs off."
They all nodded and did as told...except for Miles who seemed lost in his own thoughts,"Hey, what's wrong, partner?"
"Hmm?" He glanced up and shook his head,"Nothing, I just...ok, a lot is wrong but I'm not sure where to start. I mean, I thought before I just wanted to drag Yharim's name through the dirt and expose him as some corrupt, power-mad lunatic but...now that I've met him face to face...I don't know..."
"Miles, I get that he seems charming and well-mannered on the surface, but we should still take what he says with a grain of salt," Nebula argued as she gestured to where the golden man once stood,"I mean, Yharim was willing to threaten the life of one of his closest followers just to get her to bring us here! And you heard him say that he doesn't care what rights he has to trample over to keep the peace!"
"He's in charge of keeping an entire kingdom safe, Nebula!" Miles shot up out of his chair,"And maybe this is the only way he knows how to do things! By force! Who knows, maybe he's right that his actions have stopped worse things from happening!"
"Need I remind you that you yourself said that the road to hell is paved with good intentions?" Zero pointed out as he also stood up,"And that he's planning to steal the Moon Lord's power? To invade our home and steal its power too? Maybe his intent is good, but should others have to pay for his supposed good intentions?"
"And what do you guys want me to do??!" Miles shouted, causing everyone to take a step back. Upon seeing this, he hung his head in shame and took a seat,"...I'm sorry. I just...this isn't like when we fought The Doctor or Glitchtrap or anyone else with a supposed god complex...this is a human being who hasn't lost his soul yet..."
"Besides, I think you guys are missing something crucial..." He looked up with sad eyes,"...Even if we do defeat him, what then? Hundreds, maybe thousands, will be out of a job, and the kingdom he's built will be thrown into chaos!"
His lip quivered as he stared at the ground,"...So answer me this, can we honestly say that the group that replaces Yharim will actually be better? Can we honestly say we're deserving of deciding the fate of an entire kingdom?"
He looked up to see everyone else opening and closing their mouths before just looking away or at the floor,"...The Devourer was right. I'm not just a fool...I'm an idiot too.."
The Sith's lightsaber slashes right through the carbon fiber like a knife through butter; however, the wall itself was enough to prevent the attack from reaching the Courier. Ranus sees the man swing around the remnants of the wall, quickly repositioning himself to dodge the flurry of blows. He transitions his two-handed grip on his saber into a reverse one hand.
Upon dodging the final blow of the combo, the Sith slashed upward attempting to cleave the Courier's right arm from the elbow down off; With his free hand he reaches out with the force. The Sith had hoped to catch Redacted in a force choke.
Wrustoiz looks up to the arriving Captain, this strange sense he had certainly came from this Captain. The Sith chuckled,
"I'm more than happy to get to business."
While the emotional argument between the group was met with little more than silence from the otherwise empty rooms, their search did give them a better idea of exactly how the place was laid out: A little hallway branched off from the living room that they entered at, leading to four bedrooms and an room somewhat akin to a little workshop and repair station for Zero. On the other side of the room, a small kitchen, and at the far end opposite the vault-door entrance, a balcony, although one with some rather hefty glass, overlooking the jungle. Most of what one would expect to find in a normal apartment was there - the fridge was even stocked. Plenty of stuff to use to try and pry the cuffs off, if anything.
Statis merely turned away from the table, towards the direction Hael was approaching from. "Let us not hesitate. While a brief wait was certainly refreshing, each second we spend here is a second the Tyrant may spend reinforcing his foothold in this world."
"I believe I may be somewhat familiar with this 'Imagination,' in the sense of a tangible force, although I have only heard of it from secondhand sources." Draedon responded. "I would be quite thrilled to know more of it."

Redacted then made space, dashing back a good 5 feet, turning one arm into the rubber material from before, and his other one into a giant metal spike, taking his arm to the shoulder as he moved his feet to stand defensively.
"So, you going to tell me who you are? Or are you just one of those random murderers around here..."
