"Oh, that must have been what I witnessed. I am glad everything is alright now." Mata Nui lets his shoulders sag.
Something gradually changing about one of the home doors in Falkreath may catch Zeref's eye.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Mata Nui follows Zeref's gaze.
Where they look, the door to Dead Man's Drink completes its transformation into a much more modern-looking door, with a brass doorknob, and a stylistic depiction of a cat on its surface.
◊ The Japanese scripture underneath reads 洋食のねこや, which is read as "Yōshoku no Nekoya" and translates to "Western Dining Nekoya" (Neko meaning cat but the 'ya' makes it weird).
"... I suppose the size of this place lends itself well to all sorts of phenomena."

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Mata Nui walks up to Zeref. Upon getting close enough, the Mask of Life starts flashing and glows violently bright...! And then it subsides and nothing happens.
He opens the door, and a bell strung to the other end jingles, startling him. The sight of a tall, death-immune cyborg stumbling back in surprise because of a simple restaurant bell ought to make for an amusing sight.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.""I told you, you have nothing to fear from whatever curse is upon you so long as I am here." Mata Nui regains his composure and opens the door fully, revealing the inside of a quaint little restaurant - definitely not the same place as the inside of the Dead Man's Drink.
His body is obstructing the doorway, but the Great Spirit sees something that causes him to reflexively freeze up. If Zeref peeks or squeezes past him, he will see a female elf in an all-black waitress's uniform, with piercing amber eyes.
◊
And if he has any ability to sense magic, he will feel the near-tangible looming presence of death emanating from the woman and permeating the room. It's so strong it rivals - nay, maybe even surpasses his own aura.
Welcome to Western Restaurant Nekoya, she says telepathically.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."The Future
The young man stops singing, taking a bite out of the boar meat, before turning around to face Gangrel, drawing his handgun reflexively. The handgun is of Fine Make, every last part custom made. Not like Gangrel would Know that. A flashlight under the gun would shine on Gangrel, before the young man lowers his aim.
He oddly says, before holstering the gun, "I'm having one of those dreams again, Aren't I? Here to remind me about my family's Sins, again?"
Mata Nui hesitantly walks in the rest of the way.
The lady bows. My name is Kuro. I am not cursed; this is my nature. In our world, I am also known as the Black Queen, or She Who Brings Death.
"... Oh..."
Kuro gives a troubled glance, apparently reading Zeref's inquisitive thoughts. My existence was an unpleasant one until I found Nekoya. I'm much happier working here. Here, I can be among weaker creatures without their immediate disintegration. In fact...
She turns her head to the kitchen. A man's voice hollers, "Oi, Kuro! Are there new guests?"
Thanks to the Master's culinary prowess, I can help make them happy instead.
"So this is a place of food?"
Correct. Please, take a seat wherever you like.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."I.... I see. Well, I haven't eaten in a while so....
He sits down but shift multiple times, having seemingly forgotten how to properly sit. He seems to be a little happy.
...
Gangrel now knows what a gun is (thanks Mordecai), so he freeze up, aware that he can't quite dodge at the distance. He doesn't look too worried though, and when Mar muses, he raises an eyebrow.
Get closer and let me show you just how real I am! He taunts.

Nautolan picture belongs to Bonesmarinated on twitterMata Nui sits at a separate table, both to give Zeref space and because being taller means he needs more leg room.
Kuro comes by with water and menus. After only a glance, Mata Nui orders some kind of fruit sundae.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Got it. Kuro heads for the kitchen.
A few minutes later, the sundaes arrive, and boy do they look fancy. Lots of kiwi fruit, strawberries, bananas... basically anything brightly-colored and associated with confectioneries is there.
Mata Nui eats around the ice cream, simply consuming the fruit.
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Confusion
The young man takes off his helmet, letting his hair be fully visible, alongside his face, as he stares Gangrel in the eye, Confused, before saying "Well. That's new." He's definitely one of the exalt's bloodline, but also definitely not someone that gangrel knows.
He tosses the helmet to the ground, and offers a hand, saying "There's no way you can be real, though. Gangrel, Mad king of Plegia, died centuries ago. And I'm not one to believe in ghosts. But, If you insist..." The young man reaches out, offering his hand for a handshake.
Gangrel does something while Mar is busy for the smallest second. And then grins, though he's annoyed at the idea of constantly running into members of the exalt bloodline.
Sure thing, boyo. He says, shaking his hand and getting some nasty dirt on it. Gangrel slaps his knee, laugh and point at Mar, pleased with his little joke.
Ah! You sure are from that bloodline!
...
Thanks...
Zeref begins to eat, though he does so at a patient pace. He seems to appreciate the food he's chewing, and is determined to kind of drag on the feeding itself.

◊ from seemingly nowhere.
He offers Mar a sympathetic look. "I suppose you could say I'm the one with whom your troubles began. And I am no ghost."
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."History
The young man looks shocked as he touches the dirty hand of Gangrel, stepping back, stammering, before looking towards the newcomer. Out of a historybook, out of the paintings in his family's great halls... The young man steps back, stammering... "How... why... wha..." The young man looks between the two figures of his family's past, before saying "What in grima's unholy arsehole is this!"
He's visibly breaking down, somewhat.

Oh for the love of... Gangrel grumbles but catch himself in time to snicker at Marth's confusion.
I'm back from hell, kiddo, to foist a hundred years of Plegian justice on you! Oh, and that guy is here to save your soul bla bla bla. He jerk his thumb at Marth. Alright so how do you wanna start of?
Nautolan picture belongs to Bonesmarinated on twitterMarth's eyes are drawn to Mar's Falchion blade. So he really is...
"It may be a lot to take in, I know, but I am Marth, the Hero-King. The only figure in my bloodline who wielded the Falchion before me was Anri, and our times were both well before Ylisse came to be."

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Envy and Regret
The young man looks towards gangrel, simply locking eyes, staring, shocked, Before calming down as soon as he realizes that, of course, Gangrel's fucking about.
After marth says his piece, the young man sighs, before saying "I know who you are. Pretty much everyone does. THE Hero King." The young man's voice has tones of mild hostility in it as he speaks. "At the very least, I'd know my namesake, and the name of the face which Judges me whenever I walk my family's halls."

Didn't I tore those down? He asks. I really disliked seeing all those Ylissian rulers staring at me, like I was some nobody, even when I brought the country to its knees! Oh well, I guess that our dear prince repaired them and put on even smugger paintings! Gangrel gestures.
If you ask me, legacies are overrated. You can't be outstripped in achievement by a son or daughter if you don't have any! Gangrel taps his head.

I was, yes... until a great being destroyed it whole. I survived but was left stranded until a voice guided me here.
He look around.
It is... much bigger.
