Metroid Prime fight

Homura watches as a person sacrifices their life for her, as the shock begins to wear off. Homura begins to get up, ready for action the next turn. She begins to ponder her options, before looking at what the beast she's facing is doing... She yells... "I don't think that thing's running away! Get ready for anything!"

Some sheperds are leaving the castle, to try and get themselves some place to train. There's a whole group of them, including Ryoma, Xander, Samsara, Camilla, Beruka, Sakura, Emmeryn, Oboro anndd Takumi, phew!

Alright! It's training time! She says, as they reach Dayspring Canyon

Thor attempts to shatter the ice containing the frozen Hunter with a blow from Mjolnir, then deflects one explosive sphere with Stormbringer before another finds its mark, knocking him back.

Shaking his head, he fires a retaliatory blast of lightning from his axe at Metroid Prime and hurries after Kumatora.

"Kumatora, stop! I fear the beast might be leading you into a trap!"

With the Metroid Prime still running, the ice bomb, Thor's lightning and the fuel rod, while they hit their target, don't reach the face, so they don't do a lot of damage.

Kumatora hears Homura and Thor and stops just in time to be able to see what Metroid Prime is up to.

It turns around, arches forward, and then charges towards Kumatora at great speed, performing the same attack it had sent Claus flying with.

She's barely able to evade, though scrapes her knee on the rocky battlefield. Wincing, she forces herself back up on her knees, but is unable to counterattack right away.

Metroid Prime launches more of those green spheres. This time, however, if they hit anything, they'll release a toxic (not deadly toxic, just damaging) gas.

Regardless of the effectiveness, the rings then turn red.

The frozen Hunter is freed. It pauses and kneels to Thor, along with its bond-brother, as a sign of gratitude. They use their shields to "catch" some of the gas, ensuring it doesn't cover as much area as it otherwise would.

Of the other two, the one that was charging fires an explosive high-speed Fuel Rod Cannon shot at the Metroid Prime, while the other in turn begins a charge of its own.

Doom Slayer suddenly launches towards Metroid Prime in two quick aerial bursts of speed and attempts to stab his Doomblade into its eye. If successful, he will then brandish the Crucible with his free hand and do a diagonal armor-melting slash across its body before falling to the ground!

Homura's planning

Homura takes a grenade launcher out from behind her shield, wading through the poison... She begins to load it, one round at a time with different grenades. The first one she loads is labeled "Thermite", The second is labled "White Phosphorous". She continues with a high explosive, and repeats the pattern... She then takes aim, before looking at the person in the way... "Get out of the way! This thing's going to hurt!"

Dayspring Canyon

Dimitri, Claude, and Edelgard arrive at the canyon alongside a small squad of soldiers, setting up some tents, each with the respective banners of their houses at the academy. Claude looks over in the distance at the other group at the area, yelling out to them. "Hello strangers!"

Nodding to the pair of Hunters, Thor moves to cover the downed Kumatora, spinning Mjolnir rapidly in order to repel any poison spheres coming for them. He then tosses his hammer into the air, smacks it towards Metroid Prime's face with Stormbringer, and moves to help Kumatora to her feet.

"Are you alright?"

Alright group! No death, no grievous injuries! All wholesome training, got it?

Waiittt!

Cynthia arrives, carrying Lucina on her pegasus! Samsara smiles at her, and just repeat what's being said.

My friends, let us win against the Hoshidans today!

Hoshidans! Let us surpass Nohr!

After getting some hyped reaction (except for Beruka, who simply raises her arms a little), Xander and Ryoma walk together into a circle, pulling out some wooden swords.

Before we settle this on the battlefield, let us settle this on the training circle!

The results shall be no different on either side, Prince Xander!

Indeed, victory shall be mine twice!

I fear that you are misled, victory shall fall into the grasp of Hoshido!

Have at you!

They leap into battle! Annddd get a bit cut short when they notice the three strangers. They also fail to notice that the whole group was ready to speak with Edelgard and co for some minutes now, since they got so distracted in their hyping.

Hello! Says Samsara. Apologies, we were doing some training! But you're not interrupting it yet, who might you be?

The Fuel Cannon charge shot does more damage this time around than it normally would, insinuating a weakness to fire.

Metroid Prime, about to try to attack Thor and Kumatora as the former is helping the latter, suddenly shrieks when it finds Doomguy's blade stabbed in its eye. It trashes around violently as Doomguy descends, though his armor-melting slash does less damage than he might have calculated it'd do, as its armor merely looks slightly cracked in a few spots instead.

Still, considering what all that armor took so far, it's still an improvement.

It tries to turn, but then gets hit by Mjolnir and gets stunned enough to grant Thor the time he needs to help Kumatora. Kumatora shows Thor a grateful smile.

"Thanks. Now hear this, I think there's a way to nearly always deal a lot of damage to this thing. It looks like it has elemental weaknesses that match whichever one it's using. When its rings were purple and it used that electric attack, it recoiled from PK Thunder. Now it's red, and that shot one of them fired seemed to feel fire-elemental. If this thing attacks with fire now, then we'll know for sure if my theory's right."

Then she hears Homura and looks at Thor.

"We may want to do what she says.", she says, after which she tries to get some distance from Metroid Prime as best as she can.

Speaking of Metroid Prime, it turns to look at Doomguy, not noticing what Homura is about to do, and spews a torrent of flames at him, solidifying Kumatora's theory.

Doom Slayer is engulfed in flame. He grunts as he stumbles away from it... but promptly attempts a second Crucible strike. If this slash connects, its blade will start to flicker, indicating that it's running low on power.

"Farla! Neru! Fall back!"

The Hunters stop and withdraw from the action as Thel Vadam◊ steps forth to take their place.

"I have faced the Flood and silenced Truth. I will quell your thunder and douse your flame."

Following that dramatic entrance, he pulls out a Type-51 Carbine and starts shooting precise shots at the Metroid Prime.

After summoning Mjolnir back to his hand, Thor runs alongside Kumatora, briefly turning to watch as Metroid Prime's attack on Doomguy confirms his friend's theory.

"So the next time those rings turn purple, I'll hit that bastard with everything I've got!"

Friendly Fire

Homura unloads her grenade launcher, firing all rounds at the eye of the metroid prime, yelling as she does so. Thermite's heat, followed by the burning white phosphorous, followed by high explosive, and the cycle happens again. With no regard for friendly fire on the local doomguy. Homura backs off after this, preparing for whatever's next. "Told you to move!"

Three Houses

Claude walks over to samsara first, smiling, bow and quiver behind his back. He smiles, saying "I'm Claude von Riegan, heir to the leadership of the Leicester Alliance, and leader of the golden deer house at the gareg mach Military academy. Although, thinking about it, It might not mean much here in this place. This isn't fodlan... Anyways, I was just here with the others setting up camp. Sorry to be a bother if that was the case." Dimitri and Edelgard would take notice of this meeting, and would both approach.

I see! Well, Claude of Fòdlan, I'm Samsara! From Ylisse! Those are my friends from also Ylisse, Hoshido and Nohr respectively! The name of the continent is-

BunaktsuDreiz.

Beruka and Saizo glare at one another.

The second strike, unfortunately, misses its target, but before Metroid Prime can counterattack, the grenades and shots hit it in the face, shuddering and shrieking during each strike.

Luckily, thanks to Thor, Kumatora got out of the explosions' ranges just in time, and she takes this opportunity to cast a weak PSI Life Up to heal her leg.

"Yup, and I will too.", Kumatora grins as she's healing.

After the attack, Metroid Prime is still standing, armor still intact, but it's moving around much more than before, clearly agitated.

And as such it goes all out immediately.

Its rings turn yellow, and it launches a whole lot of purple spheres at Thel Vadam like missiles.

Its rings then turn red again and it launches two spiraling spheres towards Homura. If they come into contact with anything, they'll burst into flames.

Its rings then turn gray again, and it suddenly unleashes a green beam from its mouth, which manages to attach itself to Claus, and it starts pulling him in, despite his resistance.

"Crap! Claus!", Kumatora yells, but before she can help him, Metroid Prime's rings turn purple, and it launches a purple, electric beam right at Thor and Kumatora, similar to the very first beam it had launched. With Kumatora now healed enough to have the agility to evade, launching a PK Thunder right at Metroid Prime to stun it, both to make it an easier target and to give Claus more of a fighting chance.

He's still unable to get loose, but he then shouts.

"Don't hold back for me! Attack it!"

Kumatora, while pained about the risks Claus faces, also knows that Claus will be safe if they can finish off Metroid Prime.

"Everyone! Electric attacks! Now!", she yells.

"I lack electrical attacks!" Thel gets blown back, but attempts to sneak in a Plasma Grenade toss. If it hits the Metroid Prime, it will stick to it. If it detonates while the Metroid Prime's rings are yellow... well, plasma damage while it's weak to plasma.

Doom Slayer grunts under pressure from the white phosphorus and thermite combo. But instead of slowing down and/or retreating, he keeps swinging, trying his damndest to cleave Metroid Prime's armor apart.

Vs. Data Dylan

Data Dylan turns around, Siren tattoos suddenly brightening. He stops the Charge Shot with his Keyblade, which only gets him to struggle for a few seconds before he disperses it. He then attempts to trap Omega in a floating orb of mystical Eridian power with Phaselock as a show of power, before turning back and seemingly vanishing.

Dylan: "Suddenly it all makes sense... crap, he's good. We need to get good, too, don't we?"

Vs. Demon Tide

The Demon Tide's preparation is disrupted by the brutal psychic assault, causing it to at last come falling apart at the blow from Lingering Will's Keyblade and Hakumen's sword...!

Right on our heroes' faces.

If they survive being drowned in the literal tide of collapsing Heartless bodies, then they've truly at last definitely won for real now.

Seth suddenly appears above the crashing Tide, landing safely.

Vanessa begins to punch through the tide, before guarding with her Keyblade and hoping for the best...

Vs. Metroid Prime

"Thel Vadam, in the flesh!"

Rash◊ drops from the sky, aiming for a spiked boot right to the Metroid Prime's eye; no matter where he lands, he bounces off and lands near Thel.

Rash: "Miss me?"

"Claus, grab onto this!"

Thor hurls Mjolnir towards Claus for him to grab onto, planning to have the hammer pull him out of Metroid Prime's tractor beam. Regardless of whether or not Claus follows through with the suggestion, he brings up Stormbringer to shield himself from the oncoming beam, resulting in a Knockback Slide.

In retaliation, the god of thunder lets out a fierce Asgardian battle cry before striking the ground hard with his axe, sending a truly huge column of lightning coursing across the ground towards Metroid Prime.

Hakumen is strong enough to avoid being drowned, and doesn't need to breath. He opts to try to make his way out the old way, though he attempts to grab Vanessa by the collar to try to help her get out of it.

Vs Metroid Prime

Homura narrowly avoids the flame attacks from metroid prime, Her shield Whirring once again. Homura, not equipt with any electric weaponry, Stays back, saying "Everyone, do what you can... I'm getting something ready."

Three houses "It's great to meat you all, that's for sure. But, I've never heard of that continent. Maybe It's uncharted, or, maybe something else. Either way, I'm sure the lands you come from are fine... Oh!" Claude moves out of the way as Dimitri and Edelgard approach. Dimitri begins to talk, saying "Sorry for listening in, It seems that you've already met Claude. Ah, To introduce myself. My Name Is Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd, Crown prince of Faerghus... Well... technically... Either way, I'm also the leader of the blue lions group in the military officers academy, as of my position. It's truly great meeting you."

Edelgard pushes Dimitri out of the way, saying "Dimitri, you're making a fool of yourself... As these two have introduced themselves, I'll say my piece. Sorry for putting our camp so close to here. I, Edelgard von Hresvelg, future emperor of the Adrestian Empire, and leader of the Black eagles group, Express my sincerest apologies, and, alongside that, pleasure in relation to this meeting."

Samsara quickly look at each of them as they speak. She knows their on-the-surface demeanor so far at least, which is always good news for her.

I'm honored to meet you as well! Don't worry about the camps, in fact, we're glad to see more people here!

The Sheperds, one per one, present themselves!

R7039-X now falls back to the ground, hitting it harshly. Greyface uses what little psychic energy is left in it to make a single PSI Shield above it.

For all other intents and purposes, the robot is completely defenseless against the collapsing Demon Tide. Whether or not that shield is enough for the robot to hold out remains to be seen...

Metroid Prime won't get another chance to change the colors of its rings.

A Plasma Grenade explodes in its face right as Claus catches Mjolnir and gets pulled out of its beam, landing safely on the edge of the battlefield again.

Metroid Prime staggers and gets hit by a spiked boot in the face as a result. Doomslayer's swings still don't seem to do that much damage to the armor, but they still do some nonetheless.

And that's when Thor's wave of lightning strikes, the powerful attack reaching high enough to reach its face. And that's all it needs to administer the full force of its power to Metroid Prime.

The behemoth screeches and shrieks as it gets electrocuted. It shambles backwards blindly, which ends up with it taking a misstep and stepping on a fragile part of the battlefield: a hole hidden under only a thin layer of land, not nearly strong enough to hold its weight. It had raced over that spot before when it charged at Kumatora, so it had become even more brittle as a result.

It falls into the hole rather clumsily, tipping over its right side and crashing into it, revealing the underground area to be a big cavern.

Claus also allows himself to get pulled towards Thor once Mjolnir returns to him, and he and Kumatora run over to the side of the hole, looking down.

The sight that will be shown to all who look down will be Metroid Prime's cracked, broken armor, completely totaled, with some blue ooze leaking out.

"That stuff's the same as that big Space Pirate had.", Claus says, narrowing his eyes, both the functional and broken one. "It apparently made it go berserk, so I suggest that none of us touch that stuff."

"Sounds good to me. I don't want another Metatron situation on our hands."

As such, it seemed that Homura could relax as well, now that the threat is over.

Rey rolls on the ground to extinguish himself, huffing and panting as he pulls himself up afterwards. "Yeah... let's hope our training montage happens soon."

Lingering Will flies up to avoid the tide.

Sonic momentarily panics before regaining his composure and jumping, then air-dashing over it to stay out of the thick of things until it has dispersed.

...It's over. That boy and I will have words next time we meet.

"Sounds harsh," comments Sonic, rolling his shoulder. With the battle won, he simply revs up his legs and goes dashing away, on to his next challenge... whatever that is.

His Crucible now out of power from multiple strikes, Doom Slayer puts it away.

Thel lowers his Carbine and approaches the others. "Hail and well met, strangers."

He says 'strangers', but the way he glances at Rash as he says it makes it clear he's just pretending not to recognize the Battletoad.

Once Mjolnir returns to his hand, Thor greets Thel with a wave.

"Hello there."

His gaze flickers back to Claus and Kumatora, and he nods in agreement.

"I shudder to imagine what someone like Thanos could use that blasted substance for..."

Vs Metroid Prime... Maybe?

Rash playfully furrows his brow.

Rash: "Be that way, Mr. Warrior Appearance. Anyway, What's up everyone?"

Elsewhere...

In one of the many ancient castles dotting the lands of Skyrim, a cloaked figure in the shadows shakes its head and sighs upon observing the defeat of the tide of Heartless through a divination orb.

"Even that... wasn't enough. I can't believe it..."

"Teacher was right. These people are too powerful... too dangerous. And unlike the chaotic mess that was our forces, they were aware of each other's strengths, while also covering each other's weaknesses. Such great teamwork... if only they weren't using it to undermine everything we stand for."

"Teacher said that watching this would be a valuable lesson. How right he was... Now that I know what we have to deal with, I guess we really do have no choice but to fight fire with fire."
