Caring little for signals, let alone communication, the Colossus dives beneath the ground, safe from the wild explosion.
The tremors circle the town at breakneck speed, like a horse in full gallop, before a giant serpentine form EXPLODES from a building near the Purple Worm, bifurcated insectoid mandibles spread wide, flying straight for the flank of the Worm’s head.
pffft hahahahahahahahahhhaahhahaha noDirge gets its teeth on the Purple Worm nice and good, but that neck be tuff.
Big, Slithery and Angry thrashes around, trying to shake the Colossus off. Braum and M O T H 's efforts manage to briefly get it to stop.
Snorlax must recharge!
Braum rears up and smashes the barrier he and Marcia made, sending the fragments of ice and scrap metal at the Purple Worm like a shotgun!
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Dirge manages to topple the Purple Worm down, leaving the great monster dazed. Unfortunately, this means the other attacks miss its mouth, but oh well. The less of a chance it has to blow them all to kingdom come, the better, right?
Braum approaches with caution, hoping there's a chance to get at least one of the two giant worms to back down.
Snorlax will do no such thing. It comes stampeding in and goes for a leaping body slam, which is just as likely to misfire and hit Dirge as it is to hit the primary target.
Homura keeps close to Marcia in case something else happens.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."After its successful attack, the Colossus rears up in a triumphal and threatening gesture, snapping its bug-like jaws at the worm. Stone plates on the giant's head begin to shift, revealing a set of two piercing and unsettling orange eyes. It remains there, chittering with an equally unearthly sound, much more like a scared deer than any fearsome beast...
That is, until the Colossus is accidentally blindsided in the side of the head by a big blue furball.
Purple Worm ignored, the eyes snap shut, and the sand snake leaps away with a loud screech. It spins rapidly in an attempt to shake the Snorlax off, diving beneath the ground to escape. No attack is made this round.
pffft hahahahahahahahahhhaahhahaha no"I do not know!"
"Me neither."
Snorlax gets tossed away like yesterday's trash, landing headfirst in the ground. Its bulk is so great it ended up half-buried.
"Oop, friendly fire! At least... I think that thing is friendly now?"
The Purple Worm groans as it starts to rise back up.
More bad news: a new challenger has appeared!
"Power... is an illusion. Absolute power is a seamless illusion."
It's... a big purplish floating head made of polygons.
Polygon Man laughs, disappearing as soon as he came, but leaving a squadron of goons
in his wake. Each is shrouded in dark magic, indicating it has been powered up by an unseen source.
Homura aims her bow side-to-side, between the Purple Worm and the polygonal constructs. "Which do we fight?!" she yells.
Time Patrol Path Updated!
- Defeat the Purple Worm
- Defeat the Fighting Polygon Team
Fu Path Updated!
- Destroy the Small Fry Corps.
Quick elaboration: Time Patrol Path means the course of actions that will set history straight, or as straight as it can be with the changes made. Fu Path means the course of actions that would cause the 'best possible ending' for that part of the timeline. Defeating the Purple Worm isn't part of the Fu Path because the Purple Worm is a neutral party, and allying with it would technically result in a better ending. Also, the Fighting Polygon Team is but one division of the Small Fry Corps., but if the Purple Worm is also defeated, the rest of the Corps. won't show themselves.
The Mario polygon runs up and does a cyclone-spin, whipping up a miniature tornado around itself as it tries to ram into Marcia.
The Donkey Kong polygon physically grapples Snorlax. "SNOR-?!" is all the Pokémon can bellow before getting yanked out and smashed back into the ground.
The Link polygon fires its hookshot at where Dirge ought to be, trying to get up onto the rock-snake's back.
Lastly, the Samus polygon begins charging up a charge shot.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."The Colossus is beneath the ground at this point, the Hookshot ricocheting off its smooth stone fin with a comical "KAPWING" - barely missing the rest of its furry body.
It's more than attracted its attention, however. The Purple Worm is down for now - it can wait.
A brief flash of intense orange eyes peeking over the ground heralds a massive explosion of dirt and stone in front of the Polygon fighter, followed by a fucknormous magic stone snake cresting through the air like a majestic whale, its alien jaw spread wide to reveal a maw shining with unnatural yellow light.

pffft hahahahahahahahahhhaahhahaha noPolygon Mario shatters like glass. No sooner is it gone than does a Polygon Yoshi appear in its place.
Snorlax manages to right itself. Polykong tries to slap it, but... CHOMP. In pops a Polygon Kirby.
Polygon Link, having no concept of self-preservation, tries to hit Dirge with an overhead slash. Since it also has no concept of where to aim, it probably won't hit a weak point, in which case it will explode into harmless light the moment Dirge eats/blasts it. Upon its demise, a polygonal construct of Fox McCloud will appear to replace it.
The Purple Worm begins building up energy once again... only to get a fully-charged energy blast right in the mouth, courtesy of Polygon Samus. It roars and dives under the earth, just like Dirge did.
Braum and Homura get on either side of where the polygons are spawning, swinging and shooting at them as they appear.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Dirge easily consumes the Polygon, no weaknesses to be abused in its impervious stone maw, eyes firmly shut. It dives beneath the ground gracefully, slithering under the cityscape.
However, it warily maintains a solid distance between itself and the Purple Worm, now underground as well.
Orange eyes peek intermittently above the ground, gazing at both the underground Worm's path and the new Polygon opponent as it circles like a shark. The Colossus leaps to consume the new Polygon, hoping to get it out of the way before it re-engages the Worm.
pffft hahahahahahahahahhhaahhahaha no... They have bubble shields. They blocked the attacks.
Oof.
"What defensive strength!" Braum fires a blast of ice from his shield.
Polygon Yoshi jumps over the blast, swiping its tail at Braum. The warrior is knocked off his feet for the first, and possibly last, time.
Polygon Kirby ASCENDS into the air. It descends upon Homura with a drill kick.
She jumps back and unleashes a rain of arrows down on the battlefield. "Go for the one with the charge blast!"
Polyfox is just as stupid as Link and gets cronched. Next up: a polygon Captain Falcon! It leaps over Dirge's head while the Colossus is exposed, trying to stomp-kick downwards on its forehead.
Polygon Samus jumps aimlessly.
Snorlax's eyes emit red light like the Glowing Eyes meme, which is kind of terrifying. It's rearing up for a big attack, that much is clear.
There's a rumble as the Purple Worm passes underneath the battlefield, its intentions unclear.
Did I miss anyone?

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."The Colossus' joy (do magic stone snakes even feel joy?) at consuming its new opponent is quickly interrupted by the unexpected arrival of a polygon heel straight into its left orange eye, which was unwisely left exposed during its leap.
A piercing screech like a shot deer rings through the city, and the gigantic serpent, briefly blinded, thrashes and spins wildly in pain, pinwheeling forwards at breakneck speed with no regard as to who stands in its way - Polygon, or otherwise...
...including, unfortunately, Marcia and Braum.
pffft hahahahahahahahahhhaahhahaha noPolygon Samus is beat up good.
Braum gets sent tumbling away by Dirge.
Thankfully, the colossus' rampage blows away the Fighting Polygons, leaving Polygon Luigi, Ness, and Pikachu left to bring down.
Polygon Luigi runs at Marcia, swinging its fists lamely. Even if she gets hit, it'll barely do any damage.
Polygon Ness leaps at Dirge, trying to pursue it in its rampage.
Before Polygon Pikachu can do anything, the ground beneath it caves in, and then explodes in a glorious fireball, leaving nothing behind... but the final polygon fighter, Jigglypuff.
"Is it... on our side too?"
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Dirge is still stuck in its blind charge, paying no attention to its surroundings - careening straight into the side of Dragonsreach.
The Colossus comes to a dead stop, its head jammed good into the foundations of the great building. It thrashes wildly, arching its body into the air, trying to free itself, but it's definitely gonna take a little moment.
pffft hahahahahahahahahhhaahhahaha noWhiterun
I don't k-know. Be b-blessed that, um, it's around, though.
(Marcia flies out of Dirge's way before pulling off a move she saw in an anime starring a gigantic robot piloted by two cute girls on Polygon Luigi. This robot has to fight off space aliens who want to remove humanity from the galaxy at all costs. Man, that show was really cool.)
(gets pummeled by Polygon Luigi but she still stands.) Super Inazuma Kick! (attempts to divekick right through Polygon Luigi)
Edited by josh6243 on Dec 19th 2019 at 6:31:33 AM
BEEZHT. Luigi is gone. Also I never watched that anime sorry.
Polygon Ness blasts at Dirge's back with PSI.
Polygon Jigglypuff jabs at Homura.
"LaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAX"
Snorlax tramples the last two Polygons, sending them flying into the air to be easy pickings for finishing off.
Braum slowly picks himself up.
The Purple Worm digs back down.
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Polygon Ness' shots hit all over Dirge's furry back, but enough strike the first Sigil on its back - previously weakened by Homura's arrows - for it to shine brightly, spewing clouds of black ichor, then vanish completely.
Otherworldly shrieks emanate from the Colossus, and it suddenly rips free from the building with a burst of strength, burrowing beneath the ground once more.
The Polygon Ness, now airborne, will soon find the ground beneath it very quickly replaced by a giant angry stone snake head, jaws wide open.

pffft hahahahahahahahahhhaahhahaha noThe last two polygons are destroyed, Ness in particular by cronch.
Well, since you asked so nicely, Marcia...
Two wireframe constructs,
four constructs that look like a fusion of polygons and wireframes,
and finally just a bunch of Miis.
"Starting to feel like us versus the world here..."
"Indeed, but we must stand fast!"
The Purple Worm roars as it bursts out. It keeps its mouth closed and, like a punch, carries the Wire Frame Fighters off to deal with them separately from the rest of the pack.
Braum puts up his shield again. Homura whips out A (nondescript) GUN and opens fire on the Red Alloy.
Red Alloy shields the bullets before running at Snorlax.
Blue Alloy launches at Marcia with a magically-empowered flying kick.
Yellow Alloy throws a fireball off randomly.
Green Alloy turns into a rock. ... Oh.
Mii Brawler 1 throws a big metal ball at Marcia.
Mii Swordfighter 1 goes into a counter stance, instantly retaliating at the first thing that will hit him.
Mii Gunner 1 starts charging up an energy blast, much like Polygon Samus did.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."

Homura takes to the air, just underneath Dirge, and lets fly a volley of arrows. Perhaps, she hopes, the Purple Worm's mouth is more exposed than the Colossus'.
Snorlax used Hyper Beam!
With a roar of "LAAAAAAAAAAAAAX," it spews a death laser from its mouth, sweeping it all over the Purple Worm's face, before steam hisses from its body as it is forced to recharge.
A light begins to emit from the back of the Purple Worm's throat. Something big is coming, and it's looking bad...
2/3
But then its charge is interrupted by the hits in the mouth, causing it to spew a literal explosion - off in the wrong direction, missing its targets. It roars with unbridled fury!
... The fury of a mother whose children have been lost, even?"Now is the time to strike!" declares Braum, slamming the ground to send a fissure of ice the Purple Worm's way.
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."
