Lucina and Samsara dodge once more, since they'd get crushed otherwise. Samsara activates Demon Mode and prepares to activate Astra, while Lucina prepares Aether again.

"Vul... Shul Dov!"

Now covered from head to toe in armor reminiscent of Xeno'jiiva's human form, Viserys ends up being rammed and thrown back by the Old Everwyrm's charge, though Sapphire Starlight manages to absorb the brunt of the attack. Shaking his head, the Nord Dragonborn spreads the wings granted to him by this Shout and takes to the air alongside Awkeff, then performs a horizontal power attack with the Infinity Sword, launching another blast of fire at the behemoth's wings.

The Spartan activates armor lock to tank the wing slam attack, disengaging it and rolling out of the way from the charge.

"Roger that."

Joshua fires a blast from his cannon towards the beasts back.

The Old Everwyrm, as expected from something so big, bulky and made-of-rock, hardly reacts to the attacks (although it should be noted that without a way to get higher up, Joshua's shots all hit its body instead of its back). It slams down the tips of its wings on either side of itself, not directly attacking anyone... but then its wingtips start vibrating.

The vibrating intensifies, more and more, until it's so intense that the sand around it starts rippling like liquid and the Old Everwyrm is able to 'submerge' itself in the sand, leaving only its back and wings exposed! And what's more, the sound of the vibrations at this intensity is so great, it sounds exactly like the Old Everwyrm's song!

Reyna has to jump off before she can attack, or else risk being buried alive. "That song... it was those vibrations all along! No wonder it was causing seismic activity and driving monsters up the walls!" She keeps attacking at the Old Everwyrm's now-easy-to-reach back in sword-and-shield mode.

Awkeff muses on it. She descends, then gives a shout of "Hun... Kaal Zoor!" summoning forth the spirit of an ancient warrior.

The ghost of Hakon One-Eye sees the Old Everwyrm and briefly looks back at Awkeff incredulously, but then shrugs his shoulders and rushes in with his Ancient Nord Battle Axe, hacking away at the Old Everwyrm's wings.

"By the Nine, this beast is durable!"

Putting the Infinity Sword away for now, Viserys raises his hands as they begin to crackle with electricity, then fires a Lightning Storm right at the Old Everwyrm's back.

The Old Everwyrm's back and wings are chipped and cracked substantially, making them more susceptible to damage.

Instead of getting out of its self-burial, however, it plants its wingtips down in front of itself and begins emitting vibrations again, causing the sand in various parts of the battlefield to liquefy. If a combatant ends up in the sand, they will be caught up to their waist, slowing them down greatly until they can escape.

Reyna narrowly rolls out of the way as a patch of liquid sand appears under her feet. She charges her phials, then transitions into a Morph Slash, her Charge Blade entering axe mode (although with the nature of this blade, it's more like just the sword becoming larger) as she slashes at the Old Everwyrm.

Hovering over the ground, Awkeff tries to stab the Old Everwyrm in the barely-exposed neck.

Hakon gets caught in a sand-trap and mutters a curse in the draconic tongue as he tries to get out.

Safe from the sand trap on account of being airborne, Viserys launches a couple of fireballs at the Old Everwyrm before flying over to Hakon and attempting to pull him free.

Joshua fell into the liquid sand, and sunk entirely. He called out,

"Going to need some help."

Samsara and Lucina both try to pull Joshua out of the sand.

The Old Everwyrm swings its wings to try and knock Viserys and Awkeff out of the air.

Hakon narrowly gets free with Viserys' help. He then tries to clamber onto the Old Everwyrm since it's being so polite as to leave its back halfway in the ground, and keep hacking away.

Awkeff gets swatted down. "Damn, this thing can give as good as it gets."

Reyna starts to perform an Amped Element Discharge, but then cancels it into an Elemental Roundslash, trying to strike the Old Everwyrm for minor damage but also temporarily powering up her Charge Blade's shield form.

That black shape streaks overhead again...

Viserys gets swatted like a fly and crashes to the ground beside Awkeff with a pained grunt.

"Damn it! Perhaps we should have brought Tanjiro along with us..."

The Nord Dovahkiin fires an Icy Spear at the Old Everwyrm before climbing back to his feet, then moving to help his Altmer wife up.

"The way I see it, we're going to need an actual strategy if we plan on emerging victorious this day, Fahliil Lokaliin."

Gateway Ruins Past

Geralt would attempt to approach Vashasia with his steel blade, Rushing in for a quick slash, trying to keep on the move. He'd seem to be building up some form of adrenaline rush.

Riki would look towards Vash, in the meanwhile, and would grin, running over to a patch of Poisonous herbs growing out of a bit of soil, Munching it up. Riki, with his mouth full of highly poisonous material, would say, muffled, "RWKW TTWCK" (RIKKI ATTACK!) and would then suddenly attempt to spit out the grinded up poisonous goop at Vash, yelling "LURGY!"

Otto would begin to speed up further through the portals, essentially pulling the infinite fall trick from portal 2, building up momentum.

As for Chris? He'd Dismiss his demons, Running over to Iraaxos, somewhat worried. He'd simply say "I Don't think that thing's going to close anytime soon. Seems whatever's on the other side has the ritualistic equivalent of a battering ram. But... With a place this unstable..."

Chris would sigh, before looking to his gauntlet, saying "Override Summoning safties, Authorization Code Sierra Mike Tango." His gauntlet would glow, as he enters the demon summoning program's main function, and begins a special fusion of demons. He'd then say to everyone "I'm about to do something incredibly risky, but It's better than fighting whatever's about to break through without this kind of help! Prepare yourselves!"

Suddenly, Demons of all sorts would appear by chris, then fade away, with new demons forming. The process would happen again, and again, until eventually the point would be reached where two extremely powerful demons were summoned. And they'd be fused together.

The area would shake as the fusion slowly occurs and ridiculous amounts energy flows from chris's Gauntlet to the ruins around him, as a summoning circle forms.

Walter, Isabeau, and Jonathan would arrive at the desk of Charon, Ferryman of the underworld. He'd begin to speak, saying    "Welcome, fallen souls, to the bank of the river styx. You've lived out your youths quite qui-"    He'd then realize who he's talking to.    "It's you three again. Well. Normally I'd go through the same deal as usual, Macca opens all doors and whatnot, but it seems you have a special situation on your hands."    Walter would look confused, saying "Wait, Can we not pay for our way back? Isabeau, Jonathan, What bullshit be this?"

Charon would sigh, simply saying    "No, you all go back to life, free of charge. Welcome to the arena, kids. Glad you people don't clog up the line anymore. But, if you die, I could take some macca to revive you quicker... Nevermind. Just go."   

A light would flash... and...

Hub Centralis

Walter, Isabeau, and Jonathan would wake up, seated in a resturaunt in the city plaza of Hub centralis. Flynn would walk in through the doors, quickly saying "Seems Charon is aquainted with you lot as well. Funny how those sorts of things work out."

In the same resturaunt, there would be a strange mechanical door lined with caution lines. Flynn would look towards those doors, before saying, once more, "Shall we return to mikado momentarily?"

For now, once more, they begin to activate their respective skills.

The Spartan weighed incredibly heavy, but the pair managed to pull him loose enough for him to get the rest of the way out.

He immediately goes into action, grabbing his Gauss cannon and aimed it towards the old everwyrm and blasting at its face again. Although his HUD caught his attention for a brief moment, his map had detected the black streak.

"Dot,"

"Already on it."

The AI attempted to scan the air above the fighters for the location of the black streak.

The Old Everwyrm begins to emit vibrations again. The sand in which it is buried trembles, ripples, then explodes, in an effort to blow away anyone who's keeping to close range, as the Old Everwyrm rises up and back onto the surface. It spreads its wings and slams them down on the area in front of itself, like a giant open-palm two-handed slap.

Dot, if its scans are not interrupted by the slap, should detect the black thing in the skies flying far away... turning around and dropping low... coming closer... closer...!

There's a distant hum. Slowly, it begins to rise into a whine, and then finally a high-pitched screech as Toothless comes swooping down, firing an explosive plasma blast at the Old Everwyrm's face!

After pulling up to avoid collision and soaring far enough away from the Everwyrm, Toothless descends and goes sliding to a halt on the battlefield. A figure wearing a Metamo-Ring around his left arm proceeds to dismount from the Night Fury.

He is Omega Rey, because there's no rule that says a fusion has to have a cool portmanteau name, especially when just slapping the two names together in full makes him sound like some final form-type shit. Also he's here because Omega wanted to join but I felt like things wouldn't work out with the chosen amount of players, but still wanted to give him some measure of participation, and he agreed to SI!Omega and SI!Rey EX Fusing.

Awkeff raises Tenebrae in defense and gets pinned under one of the Old Everwyrm's wing-finger-appendages. As she slowly pulls herself out from underneath, she sees Toothless and the rider's attack. "Maybe not," she says with a faint smile. "Mul... Qah Diiv!"

She manifests her Dragon Aspect and prepares to continue the fight.

Reyna gets blasted by the sandsplosion, but conveniently ends up in between the Old Everwyrm's wingtips, ie. not crushed. She gets up, then goes back to slicing and dicing with her Charge Blade's sword mode.

Both women are blown back farther than the others, avoiding the slam as a result and allowing them to strike back with swings of their swords !

Viserys, briefly distracted by both the new arrival and sand being blown in his face, winds up smashed by one of the Old Everwyrm's wings and pinned beneath it. Snarling in pain, he begins slashing at the appendage currently holding him down with the Inifinity Sword.

"Get off of me, you overgrown, rock-covered snowback! Awkeff, dear, I could use your help right about now!"

Dots scan wasn't interrupted, but the Spartan certainly was. Barely not fast enough to dodge the slap, Joshua was thrown into the air, landing hard a few feet away. He mutters under his breath,

"Motherfucking dragon..."

"I told you the heavy armor wasn't smart."

He stood, activating a frag grenade and throwing it towards the beasts forehead

Awkeff starts moving to help Viserys...

The Old Everwyrm stumbles back and pulls its wings back at all the attacks to its wings... and the two big explosions on and around its face.

The rocks begin to fall down. The Old Everwyrm's body is crumbling.

No it's not. It's... emerging!◊

As the dust settles, spires of rock form around the battlefield from the remains of the monster's shell, and the true◊ hideous form◊ of Shara Ishvalda is revealed! It rises up on its hind legs and cranes its head to the sky, letting out an earsplitting shriek as it flexes its wings.◊ The shriek unleashes a shockwave that blurs the air, destroys the outer walls of the arena (making it wider), and sends everyone near it flying away from sheer pressure!◊

A Single Bloom In An Eternity

As Shara Ishvalda falls back on all fours, however, it quickly becomes apparent that its eyes aren't even open. Seems it's only just adjusting to the light.

As Reyna goes tumbling to a stop and slowly picks herself up, clutching her head, she gazes up at the monstrosity before them. She simply narrows her eyes.

Awkeff shields herself with Tenebrae as she goes sliding backwards through the air.    "Bron Lokaliin... Did that 'Xeno'jiiva' do this?!"   

Toothless tumbles into the nearest wall, which collapses on top of him. Rather than leave suspense as to whether he survived or not, he immediately frees himself with an explosion of electricity, entering his Alpha mode.◊

Omega Rey yells in protest, "I just got here!" as he activates Omega's Stand, turning himself into what looks like a desiccated corpse in the early stages of decay, and creates a mystical barrier to shield himself from the wind pressure. It doesn't work and he gets laid flat.

Hakon gets blown away.

By the way, those spires of rock are meant to be used as cover. And I plan to make sure the combatants need to use it.

The Spartans AI companion dampens the sound incoming towards Joshua, slightly relieving the pain of the ear splitting shriek.

Joshua immediately fired on the drake towards its head, assuming it has the same weaknesses as before. However his AI companion is not thoroughly convinced, and attempts another scan on the beast.

"Shor's bones!"

Viserys is hurled back almost as soon as he'd been freed. Gripping the fiery Infinity Sword, he stares down the fearsome true form of Shara Ishvalda.

"No, Fahliil Lokaliin... Xeno'jiiva never did anything of this magnitude..."

Lucina and Samsara are stunned by the roar, and are made to witness the beast's hideous form. Still, they brace themselves in time, and adopt a combative stance.

   "Reyna?"   

"No clue. I believe I had mentioned that we didn't actually know what the Old Everwyrm was?"

"... Shara Ishvalda."

"Okay... stranger."

Scan results◊

Shara Ishvalda backs away from the group until it gets to a favorable distance. It stabs one of its wings, which now resembles a hand more than ever, into the ground, and scrapes sideways in an arc in front of itself.

Reyna rolls in to avoid the scraping wing, then charges her phials and attempts to get off a powerful Condensed Element Slash.

Awkeff flies out of the way and begins charging her Plasma Cannon spell.

Hakon is defeated by the scrape attack and disappears, returning to Awkeff's version of Sovngarde.

Toothless, at a safe distance, fires another plasma shot at Shara Ishvalda.

Omega Rey spots Samsara and shouts "Hey, come here a sec!"
