Getting close was a biiiig mistake...
Although Namielle is indeed injured by Megan and Nanza's sword attacks, it proceeds to spray a huge torrent of water down at the ground, flooding its surroundings, then slams down full-force with an electric shock, making a gigantic lightning-explosion.
When the light fades, Namielle has dried up, losing its saturated colors and become more dulled-out.

And then Reyna comes falling in from the sky with a Clutch Claw to the face.
Agent 8, out of the danger zone, tries shooting ink at Namielle now that it's seemingly dried up.
Toothless begins to turn around in midair...

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Vs. Namielle
Megan slammed into the ground at velocity, landing next to the Wyvern Esper. She forced herself to her feet, and clambered up into the machine — though, she was too battered to do much this round.
"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalousReyna latches onto Namielle, making it flip out. She then fires a Slinger Burst directly at its head, sending it stumbling directly into the nearest wall. SMASH, and the Abyssal Dragon is concussed.
And it also gets Agent 8's ink on it, making it more susceptible to attack.
Toothless comes swooping back in, firing another divebombing plasma blast to help seal the deal!
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."The volley of attacks finally take the life out of the concussed Namielle.
Namielle
Slayed!
Paintra picks herself up just in time to see the final blows. She gasps in surprise, but soon begins laughing. She can't believe she survived that.
Reyna lands a safe distance away, watching the fireworks with a cocky smirk.
Agent 8 simply stares on coldly.
Toothless pulls up and lands on top of the wall, then jumps back down to meet up with the others.
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Namielle Aftermath
Megan put her Mech into a suitably unstraining stance, and disengaged from it after a moment. She clambered down to the ground, and stumbled her way over to the Abyssal Dragon, and began looking over it for recoverable materials. On her way, she spoke to Reyna, and said, "Heyo, Reyna.... It's been a while, hasn't it?"
"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalous"Yeah, sorry about that," Reyna remarks sheepishly. "Been getting all caught up in another world's problems. You been doing alright?"
She walks over to Namielle's corpse and starts carving it.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.""I've been on-and-off, better here, not so good there... you know how it goes," Megan said. "I have some interesting dragon sightings that you might be interested in, if you'd like. Any idea where this thing came from?"
Megan also started carving some parts from Namielle, keeping a close eye out for gems.
"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalous"My world," Reyna comments. "And there's probably more where it came from."
She tells Megan about Velkhana's appearance in the Arena.
"What sightings?" she adds, momentarily tilting her head in the direction of Toothless.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.""Hm. I see. As for my own dragon sightings...."
She recounted her observations from the Dragon Fight in Sovngarde.
"I worry that something far worse than just draconic migrations is afoot... But it is likely some ways off yet, mercifully — and at least this black-scaled dragon seems to be more on the... friendly? side," she said. "What was that claw, by the way? I don't think I've seen you use your slinger like that before."
"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalousToothless retracts his teeth and smiles so as to appear less threatening.
Reyna doesn't even register the comment about the Clutch Claw.
"... Tell me again what the first of those dragons were."
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.""A black dragon with a long, snaking neck, and wide wings. It had a malevolent intelligence to its eyes, and it seemed... angry. I could have sworn that it saw me, even as far away as I was from the epicenter. It breathed a strange torrent of fire, if I recall correctly," she said. "Another from your world?"
"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalousReyna's eyes go wide.
"... Fatalis," she mutters.
Toothless prowls closer, wanting to know more about that one dragon that had first picked a fight with him.
Reyna's breathing quickens. "That thing is dead, right? It's not alive and well and rampaging as we speak?"

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Reyna breathes a sigh of relief. Agent 8 and Paintra look on with concern.
"That... thing... is the greatest known threat of any Elder Dragon. There are tales of it regenerating from the very armor fashioned from its remains, killing the hunter who wore it. The Ancient Civilization - my progenitors - were destroyed by members of the Fatalis species. I'm glad to know that one was wiped out without a trace."
"Anyway... to answer your earlier question, this is the Clutch Claw." Reyna brandishes the Clutch Claw. "It's a new gadget developed by the Research Commission to make grappling onto monsters way easier."
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Hmm... wonder if that thing would give The Elder Tyrant a run for its blood-stained money? Megan thought. Reyna might see a malicious glint in her eyes.
"Ah, really? That thing looks pretty useful... Might need to rig up something with my Grappling Hook to echo that, actually."
"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalous"Good luck with that," Reyna replies.
"Now, I hate to cut our reunion short, but I should get these supplies back to base. Think we should have a day together soon, though."
Agent 8 assesses the situation and departs. Paintra looks at Toothless, but after inspecting him for a bit, she leaves as well.

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.""Alright. It was good to see you again, Reyna. And yeah, a day together would be nice," Megan said.
She did one last check of the Elder Dragon's corpse for materials — gems, bones, scales, wing membrane, photophores, anything that seemed useful or full of elemental power or could otherwise be used in sturdy creations. She had an idea in her head for a sword... but she wouldn't be able to make it on her own.
"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalousMegan finished collecting her share of materials from Namielle, made one last check over the state of the survivors — and herself — and then climbed back in her Mech. She would depositing what she gathered in her "temporary house" back in Hub Centralis, then heading out on patrol again. What she was patrolling for, she wasn't sure — but things felt dark these days.

Space and time begin to rupture.
Of course, time is an illusion. Probably space, too.
Space Fortress Gravitas, The Void
Narktus' eyes twitch. Then widen. Then twitch harder. This is the only emotion conveyed beneath his mask, yet it is - plain as day - true fear.
"I want Boros..."
"Offworld, sir."
"Zod -"
"Him too."
"X -"
"Currently off doing something about his own former allies."
"Filia -"
"Haven't found her."
Narktus grabs the Mook addressing him by the collar and throws the hapless man into the nearest wall hard enough to dent it, shattering his back. He promptly begins screaming in pain.
"How many?!"
"Wh-whuh....?"
"HOW MANY OF OUR LEADERSHIP ARE PRESENT?!"
"N-n-n-none... sir!"
"WHAT ABOUT FREELANCERS?!"
"Th-they're understaffed, but... Momon is..."
Narktus picks up the mook and drops him back in his seat, but with ruined lower body functionality... yeah, he's gonna die pretty soon. Or become a cool cyborg mini-boss that'll be fought later on...
The interdimensional overlord then pops over to Freelancer Corp. HQ to pay them a visit.

Nanza leap acrobatically, spin in mid-air, and goes for one heck of a wallop with her sword!
