Rey releases Rbade. "Sorry about that. Got something for you."
He walks back to the table, takes off his backpack, rummages around in it, and places a plastic toy Master Ball in Rbade's basket. "Got a theory I wanna test."
Then he slooooooowwwwwwwly turns to Tiamat, reaches out and takes the DOOM Bible from her. "This is mine now and none of you will disturb me until I have finished reading it."
Markarth
Rin touches down in Markarth and dismounts from her hoverboard, which disappears. "Hoo... finally out of the cold."

"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Markarth
"Where the fuck am I?" Jack Noir mumbled loudly to himself, taking a moment to take in his unfamiliar surroundings, including the nearby Rin.
"Hey, girl! You look like someone who has half a fucking clue what they're doing, what the fuck's this city looking place?" He shouted at the girl, a tinge of annoyance in his voice... No, actually, about a metric shitton of annoyance.

Rin facepalms, developing ever-growing Cross-Popping Veins. "You don't exist in my universe. I don't exist in yours. We're not in either of ours. Make sense?"
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.""Wha- Damnit, no more of this universe-hopping! I'm fucking through with all these alternate realities, I could barely keep track of the first seven gazillion!" Jack exclaimed, starting to pace around and fidget/gesture with a knife. "I swear, if I have to hear about ONE MORE FUCKING UNIVERSE I will stab someone!"
"Alright, I've had enough of your attitude."
Rin attempts to smack Jack upside the head with her bass guitar.
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."Jack is sent sprawling to the floor by the attack, but quickly recovers, getting to his feet and spitting out a bloodied tooth. "Alright, if you want to do things like that..." He grabs his ring from his pocket, taking a quick look at it before putting it back. "No, you know what, this'll be a fair fucking duel. I'm not putting on that ring for a punk like you." He grabs a knife for each hand, giving them a quick twirl. "Go ahead, then. Make your move."

Due to Jack's positioning being inconvenient, and his momentary fixation on Rin's strange blood color, he only manages to move slightly aside from the guitar jab, enough to make it not quite hit dead on but still be more than a glancing blow. As the guitar makes impact with his carapace, there's a CLUNK as he's thrown a bit backwards, leaving two knives embedded in the girl's side. He quickly draws another two knives and prepares to defend himself from whatever Rin was planning to throw at him next.
Jack, on the contrary, seems unfazed by his injury for the moment. As Rin takes to the air, he drops his knives, reaches under his jacket and pulls a solid white revolver from a shoulder holster. He lines up his shot, takes aim and...
Click.
"Damnit, where the fuck are the bullets?" Jack exclaims, starting to pat down his pockets and giving Rin a perfect opening to attack.
Obviously, the double attack catches Jack off guard.
Crack. Jack falls backwards onto the ground, kneecapped and having just taken a hoverboard to the face. "Argh, fine, you've made your point." He says, attempting and spectacularly failing to get back on his legs. "What the hell are you trying to accomplish, anyway? You just suddenly smacked me upside the head! Why do people keep doing that, anyway!?"
Notes the relationship between Tiamat and Omega. Big oof. At least it doesn't look like a rage against the author situation.
"It's fine, man," he mumbles as he looks at the Master Ball. "Eeeexcellent..."
"Where have I heard the name Tiamat before? Was it in history class? ... Was it PART of history class or something I ended up finding on wikipedia?"
/\。。/\"... What the fuck does that even mean? What have you done to me? I swear, if this is some bullshit curse or whatever, I will have these knees fixed up, I will find you, and I will not go fucking easy on you next time, you fucking hear me!?" Jack tries unsuccessfully to crawl towards Rin, grabbing one of his knives off the ground and swinging it ineffectually at her.

Hotel Del Rey
Tiamat smiled. It was... mildly concerning — a cunning grin, but with enough warmth in it to know that she meant no evil. "Perhaps you should explain, O Warrior Mine?" she said, gesturing to Omega. Her voice dripped with unspoken knowledge, the cosmic weight titanic secrets yet unrevealed.
Omega reflexively swallowed, trying to ignore the sudden spike in pressure he felt.
"So... remember how I mentioned I was working on a TRPG thingy before I came here? In that, I had decided that Tiamat, as the Goddess of Magic, would have an entire dimension to play with — or, subdimesion or something, at least. The biggest feature was her archives, which hold more mundane books in the public area, and as you descend, the books are more and more obscure, arcane, and powerful. I don't know where anything is in it, though — I hadn't gotten that far. I guess... I guess since Tiamat's here..."
He stopped, not sure what to say.
"... Lady Tiamat, what does that mean?"
Tiamat merely smiled her grinning smile again, and said, "Secrets and mysteries, my dear. Everything will be made clear in time. For now, come, take a look at my offerings to you."
Omega approached his, and half-expected their to be dust on the cover, as he went to wipe it away. Tiamat, reading his motions, spoke up and said, "What do you take me for, some sort of fucking savage who doesn't keep her books clean? Nah, I'm just joking, don't sweat it, kid."
"It's... I can't— wait. Is it translating itself? 'The Grimoire of Eternal Night'. Sounds... nice?"
"An old lich from my home-realm wrote it a very long time ago. Name aside, it contains speculations on the nature of reality, arcane rituals, occult rites, maps, memories, majicks of old, and all other things aside. I imbued it with a little magic of my own — as I did with each of those tomes. You might find it most useful in growing your own power."
"I... I haven't written about any liches."
"Not yet, O Warrior Mine."
Tiamat stood there a moment, and then a lightbulb went off in her head.
"Oh, right, Rey, I'm so sorry. I had forgotten that I do also have a book for you, in addition to your other gifts from me. It may seem a little odd at first, but I suspect you find great use in it. It too has been laced with power, even though it is not native to my realm."
She reached once more into her Bag of Holding, and withdrew one final item — a dark-bound, demonic-looking tome, marked in crimson with the Sign of the Doom Slayer.
"Don't mind the aesthetic too much."
Frontier Village
Thranix walked downstairs, looking slightly different from the night before. He grabbed himself what he figured approximated a breakfast, and sat down across from Chris, also enjoying the music.
Mostly, a slight little retcon to keep him up to date with his Dn D self, who just reached level 18 earlier today, and had a few arsenal changes.
"Good morning, Chris. Did you rest well?"
He had a look like something was slightly amiss on his face, but he was waiting to be asked about it rather than stating it.
