"I suppose no harm would come from trying. After all, such a weapon could prove incredibly effective if coupled with the element of surprise."
After grabbing his discarded shirt and putting it back on, Viserys takes a seat upon one of the steps leading to the doors of Sky Haven Temple, then gestures for Awkeff to join him.
Viserys smiles at Awkeff, then clears his throat and begins.
"Where to begin? For starters, Reyna has yet to return from that scouting mission to Castle Volkihar we sent her on. At this point, I'm beginning to wonder if Faradare has discovered and either brainwashed, captured... or killed her afterwards."
Awkeff sighs and fusses with her crown. "Who knows? I doubt Farandare is the type to take prisoners. If Reyna was brainwashed, I think it'd be fun to beat that gung-ho attitude out of her. If she's dead, that's a much bigger problem."
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.""Whatever the case is, her disappearance has indeed made things... difficult for our plan moving forward," Viserys replies, taking out a Venison Chop and biting into it. "I've actually been considering doing this for a while now, but I have a feeling that recruiting someone especially powerful might just increase our chances of finally vanquishing Farandare and her monster for good."

Markets of Minira, Estraole
By several stalls where fruits and vegetables are being sold, a figure wanders almost idly, plucking out an apple from one of the stands and taking a bite out of the thing, before continuing on with his stroll. Overhead, a few birds are flying in the air, circling the area nearby.
A few metres behind him, another figure is present, but their pace is slower and more deliberate. Much more calculated, as if they were examining the area closely.
"The place is almost devoid of people," the one in front begins, tone noticeably idle and casual, taking another large bite out of the apple, "I don't see why you're so tense."
The other person is silent for a moment, but he soon decides to reply, in turn, sighing and glancing at the stalls with a hint of suspicion.
"Best to be careful. This could be an illusion set for someone to spring their trap on us."
"And as far as I can tell, we're the only ones present here. Believe me, if someone else was present, I'd know."

Through the area devoid of people, someone or something is roaming. They're keeping their presence mostly to out-of-the-way regions, just in case. After all, no need to rush things too quickly, and while the area is quite devoid of people at the moment, there's no telling if there might be some soon. Yes, probably best to keep subtle until he's figured out getting around the location. And also made sure that there's no risk of something having followed him here, either.
The main sign of him being around at all is the slightly out-of-place and faint smell of gunpowder and blood accompanying him...
The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me.Ambiguous Minira
The strange man in armour might take note of a black-and-white bird in the air. It seems rather huge, and it seems to have noticed him, given that it begins to fly closer to him, landing on one of the stalls and regarding him curiously, its reddish-violet eyes flashing as it folds its wings and stares, making little to no noise, preening its coat.
...The large bird also happens to have three feet.
Markets of Minira
The dark-haired man suddenly stops in his tracks, throwing the eaten core of the apple away. Behind him, the figure in blue falters, already drawing out his sword in preparation.
"I'm taking that as a cue that you've caught someone," he says gruffly, already looking around and reaching into his coat just in case.
The dark-haired man doesn't seem to be as wary, although he has stopped his idle wandering in favour of keeping himself alerted if things go south.
"...Yes."

While at first he doesn't notice the bird, a casual glance upwards while pondering whether to climb up a wall causes the man to notice the bird in the sky. He's very quick to notice the odd detail of it having three legs, immediately cluing him on something being wrong here.
"...Hm."
Not much to say about it, since he's not got actual talkative company with him, but he does flick off the safety of some gun hooked to his hip, preparing himself in case the creature turns out to be hostile. He then turns his attention away for a moment, back to the wall he was going to climb, and quickly scales up the wall far faster than a normal person ought to be capable of doing. He doesn't seem to have any special climbing gear or any other notable feature that would let him do that...

The bird, this time, doesn't seem to follow the newcomer, instead taking off into the air and back to the skies.
...And, on top of the wall that the armoured man is scaling is a figure with dark-green hair,
◊ a similar three-legged bird perched on his shoulder, and a smile on his face, red eyes shimmering as he looks the fellow in armour over.
"...So, what brings you here?"
The blue zip might find itself being followed by another large black-and-white bird with three legs, meanwhile.

Creator of the Avatar Arena and its Discord server. The flicker-creature(?) zips up to a nearby roof, as though gravity is no object for it, and then transforms itself into a vortex which seems almost... half-built, stray line fragments falling into place even as the strange portal opens wider, going from the merest flicker to about human-sized. Which of course it needs to be to admit the girl emerging from it, who seems like she would look entirely ordinary (besides her modern clothes, mismatched against the background) if she didn't share a similar "half-built" aesthetic, line shards and light sparks completing her own form too, colour filling the remaining gaps as they lodge into place. And of course, the obligatory Eyes Always Shut.

The armored fellow doesn't seem to be too concerned when he runs into someone at the top of the building, though given he didn't see anyone up there earlier, it does briefly make him wonder how that other person got there without being noticed. As a precaution, one hand eases down to the gun
he prepared prior, poised for retrieval at a moment's notice should it be needed. Internally, he decides he ought to say something as a cover for his presence, so he uses the first excuse he can think of.
"Official scouting and mapping business. This region hasn't been explored yet."
He closely scrutinizes the green-haired probably-bird-owner behind the mask, although the dark glass covering his eyes make it really hard to see him doing that. No questions from him just yet, or any reaction other than caution...
The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me."Huh. We aren't the only ones present here, then. So, who are you?"
There's something a bit worrying about the dark-haired man; perhaps his eerily carefree attitude, or the fact that he has an entire group of three-legged birds that seem to act as his eyes and ears, but appearance-wise, he seems fairly harmless, wearing pink robes, with a white shirt underneath, and a dark cloak of unknown make draped over his attire.
The bird on his shoulder seems fairly relaxed, simply tilting its head at the armoured figure, but otherwise rather happily perched on its owner's(?) for the meantime.
As for the newly-appearing girl with closed eyes, she might find the obligatory black-and-white bird with red-violet eyes seated nearby on the roof edge, observing her curiously.
And, of course, a blue-haired man in a travelling coat running towards the roof down below, a blade in his hand, and a frown on his face.
Creator of the Avatar Arena and its Discord server. The girl extends her hand towards the bird, much like one would towards a cat... only to then raise her hands as she sees the guy with a blade running towards her rooftop.

"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."By the look of it, the one clad in black armor does not trust the birds, or the choice of attire of the other person. In fact, he probably doesn't trust anything about the other person... He considers what to say for a moment, then shakes his head, trying to indicate he doesn't feel like answering that question yet.
"Your name first."
Internally, the man clad in armor wonders if he might be in an area where he doesn't strictly need to feign (relative) normalcy. A quick glance around at least confirms he's probably not at risk of someone making a mistake if anything... "incriminating" were revealed about him, so there's less pressure in that sense. He decides to try and see if he can observe anyone else around the nearby vicinity, get a feeling for what passes for normal over here...
The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me.The blue-haired man is surprisingly a lot stronger than he looks like, quickly climbing the building by taking advantage of every ledge and crack to properly scale the wall, even using his sword as a makeshift platform at times when he has nothing to step on, and then leaping onto the rooftop, wielding his weapon and eyeing the strange woman.
"The bird alerted me to your presence. What are you?"
Well, for the man in armour, the place is a bit... devoid of people, so finding out what passes for normal in this area would be hard, to put it simply.
The dark-haired man himself, meanwhile, seems more than happy to answer, flashing a friendly smile and bowing a little, the bird on his shoulder almost appearing to mimic the gesture briefly.
"Call me Grimm, I suppose. Now, your name?"

Human. Magical girl. Witch. All are true. she says. She regards the weapon with what would be a derisive eye if they were, you know, actually open.

"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."Nothing nearby. Certainly nothing he can pick up, and by all accounts he should be able to see something if there's many people of note around. However, he does have a good enough view to potentially get a glimpse of the other interaction going on some distance away... And upon seeing that this place doesn't really have "normal" people, he grins beneath the mask.
"Well..."
There's a violent shift from his body as the armor seems to buckle, then come away effortlessly, revealing the person who had been clad in it up until now. He still has clothing on, and his weapons are with him, but he's gotten the armor off and put it... somewhere that isn't really that obvious. For a time, his flesh is quite visibly exposed as his body shifts around, but it soon settles back into position to make him look normal again. Now that he's comfortable, he grins at Grimm, evidently glad for the opportunity to show off.
"I am everything humanity could become, and I am named Nero."
The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me."...I see."
The blue-haired seems a touch wary of the seemingly teenage girl, gripping his sword... and then reluctantly sheathing it, breathing out and eyeing her.
He seems fairly normal-looking, although his pupils are strangely slit and golden, something that sets him apart from most people. Perhaps that could be a line of inquiry, given how he's otherwise very quiet.
Grimm tilts his head at the sight of Nero, red eyes sparking at his rather prideful proclamation, the bird on his shoulder cawing and shifting its three feet.
"That's a bit of an assumption, isn't it? You're just one person. The potential of humanity is multi-faceted, by contrast."
His smile seems almost dangerous if one inspects it carefully, that edge hidden behind a friendly veneer.
"That, and... I'm not human, really. I'm not quite the target audience for this."

Creator of the Avatar Arena and its Discord server.Nero doesn't seem to think too much of Grimm's words to him, or the expression, just responding with a smirk and a slight shift. His eyes briefly glance at the bird, as though a bit annoyed at it speaking up, but turns his attention back to Grimm again soon enough.
"Perhaps. Or maybe I just haven't let you see everything yet."
He smirks. The slight danger on Grimm's expression seems less a threat, more a personal challenge to him. And, come to think of it, a prompter for mild curiosity...
"Maybe you'll see later. Maybe. I'll consider a demonstration later. For now, how about you explain what you are, if not a human?"
The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me.The girl, on the other hand, seems surprisingly chilled out for someone who just had a sword pointed at her, taking a cross-legged seat on the rooftop.
Any further questions? she asks, not really seeming inclined to ask any of her own.

"Well, what do you expect from that weapon?" Awkeff comments. "It's just such a spectacle to watch in action. Especially when I'm just sitting here throwing knives and casting simple spells."
Her mind wanders. "I wonder if I could enchant a throwing knife to create a magical explosion on impact...?"
