Bismark turns to look at the way to the Dark Realm's portal, then back at the Sanctuary, unsure if he should wait until someone gets out of the ship, or if he should go on ahead.

After some considering, he decides, to even his own surprise, to go in alone, and he walks onto the steps and into the portal.

Sanctuary land, and the fighters are teleported outside. Laurent spot Bismarck and approach, while Takumi look in in surprise as Iron Man land next to him.

What kind of armor is... ?

Mark 51, you like it ?

Tony flies off for the portal, and Takumi follow suit.

Bismark has already gone through the portal by the time Laurent gets to him, but doesn't proceed to Dracula's Castle yet, standing in the middle platform and wondering which way to go, which'll allow Laurent to catch up to him easily.

"Um... this way... or that way...?"

Knowing that Bismark can be a bit skittish, Laurent does not attempt to greet him too loudly. Instead, he quietly raises his hand to get his attention.

It is good to see you, Bismark. he says. As for the way, we are aware of it. Allow us to guide you.

Glass Joe step forward.

Heu, je connais le chemin.

What is he saying ? says Takumi.

He know the road. correct Tony. It's French. It's a language at home. It's pretty complicated but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty smooth.

Hurgh... we're going to need a translator to get him. Bah, not like he's helping much anyway.

They set out on the path for the castle, though Laurent does glare at Takumi in disapproval.

Dark World

The trio step in behind them.

Phoenix: "An entire castle? How are-"

HABIT:    "If you had paid attention, you would know it's up ahead."   

They advance, keeping pace with the group ahead.

It works, as Bismark notices Laurent's group and doesn't appear to be very intimidated.

"O-oh, hey, Laurent.", he says, a little surprised and proud at himself that he remembers Laurent's name even though they haven't met each other a lot.

He then perks up.

"O-oh, then let's get going."

He goes along with the group, and looks a little worried when he notices Laurent's glare at Takumi, and then quickly approaches Takumi.

"I-I can understand him.", he suddenly says. "I could translate for you, if you want..."

Arena, Hub Centralis

A Young lady would fall out of the sky, Landing with an impact which would normally, Definitely be lethal. Civillians in the area would approach in shock, seeing the young lady's body with broken bones all over... Suddenly, a piano would play in the distance, and a young girl would begin dancing nearby, and the fallen lady's body would begin to mend, seemingly to the music, the lady's heart would restart, beating to the music... Cadence would stand up, dusting herself off... She'd take a flintlock rifle from a stall, paying the stall owner in gold, then she'd speak, something she definitely shouldn't be able to do after that injury... "I've made it out of the crypt, somehow... this isn't my home though... Where am I? Plus... my heart is still beating to a tune, but this tune is new to me, it feels... kinder, in a way..." She'd look around, and see a young girl near a tall shadowy figure, the tall shadowy figure is sitting down at a piano. "Oy, you two! Where are we?"

And let a new song be played on this day.

Dracula's Castle

Just in front of Dracula's room, ominous inclement weather rushes through - rain, wind, lightning, all that. However, it subsides as quickly as it came.

Dracula's Castle

HABIT mildly grumbles at the change in weather, and Cheelai tries to make her hair look nice. They continue on.

You can translate if you wish, then. says Laurent, with a smile.

[[goln:Hmm, Dracula is who we're fighting, right ? Should've outfitted the suit with garlic.]]

What ?

Yeah, you'll get it.

They head for the door.

During the trip towards Dracula's room, when they go up the stairs inside one of the towers, one of the windows shows the restored courtyard, as well as Tobajas' Spirit, who is still there, unconscious, after multiple weeks. He's floating in a somewhat different position though, indicating that he has moved at least once, so he isn't dead.

Bismark notices this, but doesn't really know what to say about it, and continues to follow the rest of them. Once they're near Dracula's room, he turns to Tony.

"Dracula? Who is-"

He then shrieks when lightning crackles outside, and pauses when it's over. He glances around and tries to pretend that didn't happen, now looking at the door and thinking to himself.

Please don't be a huge monster, please don't be a huge monster, please don't be a huge monster...

The door opens into a wide empty room.◊ Dracula◊ sits upon a throne, a wine glass of blood in hand.

Phoenix Wright is quick to step forward to confront him. "Vlad Țepeș. Alias 'Dracula', true name Mathias Cronqvist. You have quite the list of felonies on your head, including repeated accounts of occult resurrection to avoid a permanent end to your crime spree."

   "It was not by my hand that I am once again given flesh. I have been called forth by a greater power to carry out its bidding."   

"A greater power's bidding? Sounds like the perfect cover-up for your latest return to life, but careful examination shows you forsook your world's God for power! And besides, centuries' worth of historical records serve as evidence for your armed conquest of Wallachia, mass civilian slaughter, communing with demonic forces, declaring war on the entire human race, and domestic abuse against your son, the last of which I'm disgusted to say is one of your least heinous crimes!"

   "You seem to misunderstand the scenario, Mr. Wright. This is not a courtroom, nor are you a prosecutor. You are a defense attorney."   

"The law reaches all corners of the world, Mr. Țepeș. And an honest man would never let justice go unenforced on account of his profession."

   "You speak of honest men, but what is a man?! A man by his nature is the definitive opposite of honesty; nothing but a miserable pile of hateful secrets and lies! Now, I grow tired of entertaining your pointless 'criminal justice' play! ... Have at you."

Dracula rises from his throne, tossing his glass aside and letting it shatter on the floor, as he stands to his full height and dramatically throws his cape over his back. Then he vanishes in a column of light and reappears across the room from the party.

Vs. Dracula

Conditions:

• Take your strongest team into this no-frills battle

Dracula holds out a corner of his cape with one arm, launching a spread-shot of three fire bolts that all fly straight forward at different heights (Hellfire).

Takumi leap out of the way, materialize some arrows and nock a few arrows at Dracula. He was tempted to intervene but Dracula throwing his wine surprised him.

Laurent leap to the side, spin around, and cast a fire spell, heading for Dracula. Glass Joe, meanwhile, panic and cower down, needing Laurent to blast him out of the way with an harmless wind spell.

Tony is hit, though, and is sent skidding backward.

Bismark just stares at Phoenix Wright and Dracula when they're having a conversation.

Then Dracula's glass is thrown, the vampire's cloak thrown dramatically, and Bismark jumps back to attention.

"Whoa!"

As Dracula launches his fire bolts, Bismark leaps to the side to avoid them, hitting the ground. After a pained groan, he gets back up and breaths out smoke, having it wrap around his hands to form his signature Burnt claws.

Being ever the careful one, he remains on the defensive this turn, waiting to see what'll happen first now that he's prepared to fight. And at least, he thinks to himself, this Dracula isn't a giant monster as he'd feared he'd be.

Takumi's arrows pass through Dracula's body, creating small clouds of mist that quickly dissipate in their wake.

Save for one, which lands in his eyelid and gets embedded there. Dracula grabs the arrow by the shaft and yanks it out before tossing it aside like Kenshiro disposing of a crossbow bolt in his chest.

Similarly, Laurent's spell seems to harmlessly pass through Dracula's body, but grazes his chin from underneath.

He stays where he is, throws his cape back over his chest, and disperses into a swarm of glowing-red bats that fly through the room, trying to ram through everyone in their path, before congealing back into Dracula on the other side (Bat Moon).

If anyone remembers the Dracula boss fight I had run on Spiralblock Peak prior to Smash Ultimate's release, Bat Moon is one of the only attacks I remember him using there. I've also decided they're not the same Dracula.

Laurent squint his eyes, but the Bat Moon take him by surprise and he's pushed back and thrown around, landing on his back with his clothes bearing marks from the attack.

To his credit, Takumi is more agile and avoid the attack, grabbing Glass Joe to help him with it. He wait for his next arrow, spinning an energy-arrow around a finger while doing so.

Iron Man prepares to act but a mysterious force teleport him away.

Bismark attempts to slash his way through the bats, but they overwhelm him and he harshly lands on the ground near where Dracula reforms himself.

He then, after a second, gets back up and, having noticed that Takumi's arrows only hit his eye, makes a guess and attempts to slash at Dracula's face.

Bismark manages to scar Dracula, but the wound rapidly closes. Still, it was something.

Dracula teleports back to 'his' end and opens his cape, launching a barrage of spherical red fireballs that fly through whoever gets hit, each shot alternating between high and low (Dark Inferno) while simultaneously creating three flaming marks spread out on the ground in front of him that erupt into pillars of fire after a second (Eruption), trying to ensure that if the fighters avoid one attack, they will inadvertently move right into the other.

Some bosses get multiple separate attacks per turn. Dracula uses multiple attacks simultaneously per turn.

Takumi focus purely on defense for now, being forced to run around with the useless glass jaw in toe. He does manage to dodge most of the attack but a pillar succeed in burning part of his arm, to his frustrated anger.

Laurent make a shield to intercept the attack, and fire several sharp wind current at Dracula's face. He has two books floating nearby, with one glowing.

Bismark jumps over the first fireball, manages to land fast enough to avoid the second, but isn't fast enough to then again jump and gets hit by the remainder of the low-flying barrage, ending up on the ground again, this time staying down longer, making it so that he's unable to attack this turn.

Bismark opens his eyes. He could've sworn he just heard a voice not belonging to anyone in the room, but it was really unclear.

He decides not to question it right now and starts getting up.

Dracula folds his cape over his chest and teleports again - after being hit. He attacks now with another Hellfire spread-shot, along with a variant on Eruption where the pillars erupt under each combatant one by one instead of three evenly-spaced pillars erupting all at once.

Dracula's Castle

HABIT chuckles, phasing through the Eruption aimed at him before brandishing a katana and going for a slash.

Cheelai puts up a portable shield, but it breaks under the might of the Eruption. She is unharmed, and fires a shot at each eye.

Phoenix gets knocked back, but he finds a piece of evidence where he lands!

Evidence: 1/3

Laurent expands his shield to help his allies, shielding Takumi, the boxer and maybe his non-sheperd allies, but it prevent him from attacking, and the shield begin cracking.

Bismark avoids the fire bolts, landing on his feet this time around. He looks around, expecting another attack, and only notices just in the nick of time that fire is brewing underneath him.

He leaps forward to avoid it and tries, while in mid-leap, to punch Dracula in the face.

Dracula facetanks (literally) the attacks before attempting another Bat Moon swarming rush.
