Noctillum Depths

Chris would be slightly alarmed by the change in this thing he was fighting, but he'd smirk still, Keeping his gun aimed right at it. "I think that's a bad thing..." He quickly casts Rakukaja on himself and his demons, if just to get some breathing room against any new attacks. (Rakukaja: Defense increase to party. Not too ridiculous usually, but could make a lethal blow only near lethal. Boosted due to smirk somewhat.)

Oni would back up from it's assault, seemingly overconfident, thinking the fight's over, and would leave itself open, and begin gloating.    "Hah, That's why you dont mess with the oni! Ran that big bug right through, I did!"    Zhu tun she would keep glaring at the carnifex, keeping it's guard up, as mothman lowkey panicked, casting dia on itself.

Geralt would also back up from the carnifex, using some insect oil on his silver blade, and casting quen again to keep his defenses up... "Could've sworn that thing was dead... What is this?"

Massive Setting Update

Vent takes a stance, embers crackling along his back. His spines twitch.

"Fire Storm!" he shouts, an fiery aura forming around him before a piece of it is blasted towards his opponent.

She leaps above it with some acrobaties and goes for a mild Cut.

He oofs, taking some damage from the Cut. His Fire Storm's aura has a high chance of passively damaging or burning her as she hits him, though.

"FLAMETHROWER!"

She does seems to be lucky with the ability, and is fast enough to dodge Flamethrower, moving around the area as a blur.

Deep Noctilum...?

"Whatever it's doing, I don't like it," Thranix said. Before anybody could really protest, he rushed back into combat, and, lifting his hammer high overhead, he went to bring it down on the twitching, charred Tyranid's head, seeking to end the battle definitively.

The Carnifex, if it were capable of grinning, would have done so. The spikes on its back melding into its carapace, which then proceeded to modify itself. The creature's chest shifted and expanded slightly, to accommodate the growth of something new. It's scythe limbs readjusted as well, taking a more side-oriented position. As Thranix's blazing maul came crashing down like a meteor, it drew it's head back, stepped back, and screamed. It's chest, and the depths of its throat, glowed with an otherworldly, sickly, biological green, and heat radiated off of it's now-smooth back carapace. It didn't seem like it had much in it after this, but it would damned if it didn't put up a fight.

CARNIFEX SUBPECIES: SCREAMER-KILLER

Something else seemed to be changing as well. The old, alien jungle of Noctilum seemed to be fading out of existence, as all of reality readjusted around them. The world had changed... but to what?

Reprium, Deep Jungle

Thranix nearly dropped his hammer, but retained enough of a grip on it that he managed to return it to his back as he fell to the ground. The noise felt like it was piercing through his skull, right into his brain. He thought he felt something warm and wet running down the sides of head and neck... Did his eardrums rupture? He wasn't sure, since all he could feel right now was blinding rage. He needed a moment to recover from that, so he got up and stumbled backwards, hands over his hears.

The Carnifex then reared back it's head, and, with a thunderous growl, loosed a short-ranged, conical blast of hellfire-green bioplasma at the assembled fighters.

Reprium, Deep Jungle

As reality reforms around him, Chris would Panic slightly. "What the hell is going on? Is this thing doing this? No... It can't be... Nevermind... We need to focus on the matter at hand!" Chris watches the zhu tun she keep its guard up, And looks at mothman healing itself. He'd be relieved, until he sees His oni giving it's back to the tyranid, triumphantly spinning it's glaive. Chris would see the bio plasma coming, and would yell at oni, "GET DOWN, ONI, YOU FUCKING IDIO..." But would be cut off by the attack, and the screams of utter agony coming from oni, as oni is quite literally vapourized by the bio plasma attack, due to having it's guard down. Zhu tun she would be somewhat injured, and mothman would be fucking dead if it weren't for the rakukaja. After this, Mothman Casts dia on itself again to heal a bit more, and zhu tun she begins to trod at the ground a bit again, preparing to charge once more. Chris would be rather injured, but, possibly to the tyranid's suprise, Still solid, alive, and even more suprisingly, Concious, despite being hit by bioplasma. Chris would begin to summon a new demon after oni's demise, And would begin talking. "Oni, You're Fucking useless... I know someone who wont fail me though. Matador!Come on out!" Chris's gauntlet would begin to glow again, as the summoning program takes its time to summon something powerful..

Geralt was lucky to put up that quen, as he would've likely been killed, or nearly killed, by that bio plasma. He'd take a moment to further analyze the tyranid's movements, preparing a cast of yrden to perhaps slow it down. "What... What was that? How was that? I think I'd better cut off whatever it used to do that..."

"Geez, fast!"

Vent used Rollout!

Appropriate, considering he's a porcupine-like creature. It looks like he's spindashing.

She look at his rollout in amusement, it does increase his speed to the point where she has to put in effort.

He twists, trying to hit her with a flamethrower again. He's gotten better, but he's still a novice when it comes to combat.

Hunter!Reyna's World, Astera

Reyna walks into her own room and kicks open her Equipment Chest. She pulls out everything inside, laying them out one by one.

Chrome Blade II

A lavish insect glaive of rare steel able to smash even the hardest of shells with ease.

The maximized upgrade of the Iron Blade, the most basic starting Insect Glaive, the Chrome Blade II is a simple, yet powerful weapon, with a hidden Blast element that grants it the chance to make huge explosions every few strikes... if one knows how to free the element.

Catastrophe's Light

Forged from Nergigante parts, its twin horns point heavenward to show the way to sinners.

This weapon has a powerful Dragon element, high Elderseal, and the highest base damage of any elemental Insect Glaive... but its sharpness (a meter-based mechanic in Monster Hunter games which is largely ignored in the Arena) doesn't go beyond the blue level, and it has 0% base Affinity (crit chance).

Firedance Rathmaul

An insect glaive made host to a Rathalos' fury, said to be able to rend earth and sky apart.

Made out of Rathalos parts, this Insect Glaive's main selling point is obviously its mighty Fire element, but it does back that up with an impressively high base power as well.

Ya-Ku Wrath III

This perfected Kulu-Ya-Ku insect glaive grants the agility to dance circles around any mark.

What the Ya-Ku Wrath III lacks in notable base power or sharpness levels, it makes up for by making its wielder faster as long as they hold it, along with an impressively high 20% Affinity (every 1 in 5 hits is a critical hit) and a powerful hidden Sleep effect (hidden like the hidden Blast of the Chrome Blade II), that makes successive hits build up towards a chance to make an enemy spontaneously fall asleep.

Destroyer Bo III

Polished to a blinding shine, this Tzitzi-Ya-Ku insect glaive emits a flash with each swing.

Made out of materials from Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, the less brazen cousin of the Kulu-Ya-Ku with a built-in organ that emits blinding light, the Destroyer Bo... unfortunately does not have that same light. What it does have is a hidden Thunder element (electricity) that adds a staggering 300 extra Thunder to the base power of every hit (for comparison, Firedance Rathmaul's fire power is 180 Fire, Catastrophe's Light is 150 Dragon, Ya-Ku Wrath III is 210 Sleep).

Okay, long story short, she has one of every single max-upgraded Insect Glaive on the weapon tree. Aside from those already listed, there's Freeze Gale II, Datura Blade III, Gama Cane II, Aerial Rod II, Hazak Entoma II, Gnashing Flammenkaefer, Water Glaive III, Tyrannis Glaive II, Kadachi Pillar III, Vice, Dragonbone Glaive III, Verdant Levin, Daora's Tethidine, Xeno Shmaena, Grunge Storm, Empress Cane "Blaze", Empress Cane "Ruin", Empress Cane "Styx", and of course her most recent signature weapon, True Gae Bolg.

With the large majority of Reyna's weapons out of the way, only the interesting ones remain.

Sapphire Star Lance

Modeled after the First Fleet banner, this lance displays the grit needed to challenge the New World.

... She forgot she had this Lance. Huh.

Aloy's War Bow

A bow crafted to battle the Machines. Features fantastic piercing power thanks to its steel-tipped arrowheads.

Reyna basically just made this because she could.

Azure Star "Dragon Dance"

A Long Sword that gleams with the light of an azure star. It radiates with each wish asked in its name.

Reyna knew how to forge this Long Sword for the longest time, but for reasons unclear, she was unable to acquire the materials necessary. Despite her desire for it, she sucks at using Long Swords.

Taroth Buster "Water"

A Kulve Taroth gunlance that fully harnesses the hidden power of the materials used to create it.

Basically, all Kulve Taroth weapons are acquired through random chance after completing a siege against her, and this happened to be a Rarity 8 (reserved for objects of ultimate power) Gunlance, even though she never uses Lances or Gunlances. Anyway it has a hidden Water element that blows the Destroyer Bo's Thunder out of the water at a whopping 450.

Zireael

The sword and an ash-blonde girl share this strange name. It means "swallow," a bird that conquers all despair.

One of the silver swords Reyna's been getting forged for the inevitable confrontation with Farandare. While Arena physics can probably ignore this arbitrary restriction entirely, it is considered a pair of Dual Blades. Every Witcher has a steel sword for dealing with humans and a silver sword for dealing with monsters, and in the case of Zireael, the steel and silver swords are dual-wielded with the Dual Blades style. Also, it has a hidden Dragon element.

Empress Cannon "Styx"

This Lunastra heavy bowgun resonates with Xeno'jiiva parts to help conserve ammo.

A Heavy Bowgun Reyna had built out of Lunastra parts which she then upgraded with Xeno'jiiva parts, for use in cheesing Behemoth hunts by spamming Cluster and Sticky ammo.

Wyvern Ignition "Impact"

A Great Sword with a propulsion system built in for added power. The final build after many trials.

A hunter much like Reyna had designed the Wyvern Ignition, based on Valstrax's absurd ability to propel itself at subsonic speeds by discharging Dragon element from its wings (because jet engines as we know them aren't yet a thing in Monster Hunter). "Impact", as its description explains, is the final build, and has the highest base damage of any weapon she knows to exist... plus, its Fire element is hidden, which means she can slap an Elementless Jewel on her armor and the sword will do even more damage. Who needs the elemental effect?

Taroth Arrow "Blast"

A Kulve Taroth bow that fully harnesses the hidden power of the materials used to create it.

Another Rarity 8 weapon acquired by random chance from Kulve Taroth, this is a Bow with few noteworthy features aside from a hidden Blast element and being able to use all arrow Coatings except Power.

Villainous Brace

A Bow that requires the strength of the user. Only those who have defeated a Deviljho can wield it.

Made from Deviljho parts, Reyna had this forged simply because she thought it looked cool and could afford it. Unlike most Bows, it's almost just a Power Fist, being a huge-ass gauntlet with the bowstring built into the side of it, rather than an actual full-size bow.

Taroth Hammer "Tar"

A Kulve Taroth hammer that possesses new properties due to clever material utilization.

It's not Rarity 8, it's not the best sleep hammer she could get her hands on, but the Taroth Hammer "Tar" has gotten her through more hunts than Reyna could count, and that's why it's her go-to weapon when she wants to turn a monster's skull concave.

Gold Ice Naginata

A Kulve Taroth insect glaive with unknown traits. Its true potential has yet to be realized.

Reyna couldn't give less of a shit about this weapon's true potential. She only has it for the sake of having a Kulve Taroth insect glaive.

Dante's Devil Sword

A devil hunter blade that bends to the will of the wielder. Alastor and Ifrit's power given form.

A mighty Rarity 8 Thunder-element charge blade, this 'sword' actually has a transforming property. In its normal form, the wielder has a ring of runic symbols to use as a shield. However, for its 'axe' form that all charge blades have, the runic symbols are merged into the blade and it becomes... just a bigger sword, really. Still definitely not one you want to mess with, nor are any of the other weapons Reyna made that belong in universes not her own.

Kjárr Fellsword "King"

A unique great sword made from the gold of Kulve Taroth. Houses the true might of the goddess within.

This great sword has its own utility separate from Wyvern Ignition "Impact", if only because it has more white sharpness and its fire element isn't hidden. WII is still far stronger.

Kjárr Pipe "Myth"

A unique hunting horn made from the gold of Kulve Taroth. Houses the true might of the goddess within.

Reyna can't use hunting horns to save her (or anyone else's) life, but she keeps it for the sake of having a Rarity 8 Hunting Horn.

Bristly Grudge

A hammer that looks like a friendly Bristly Crake. Have you been lucky enough to meet one?

Bristly Crake is a type of bird in Reyna's world that is incredibly hard to find. Bristly Grudge is a hammer carrying a strong poison effect, whose head looks like a voodoo doll of a Bristly Crake, complete with pins sticking all over it as if put in by a very spiteful hunter who couldn't find a Bristly Crake for many days and nights. To make matters worse, when a charged attack with the hammer reaches full power, its button eyes light up with the red pinpricks of a hell-demon. It has more base power than Taroth Hammer "Tar", and poison is an easier effect to activate than sleep, but she doesn't often use this because... well, it's creepy.

Empress Shell "Styx"

This Lunastra light bowgun resonates with Xeno'jiiva parts to help conserve ammo.

A light bowgun that Reyna upgraded from the Lunastra LBG simply called Empress Shell, using Xeno'jiiva parts (same way she got Empress Cane "Styx" and Empress Cannon "Styx"). The difference is that she ended up with this on accident, because she had gotten Empress Shell and Empress Cannon mixed up. She hasn't sold away Empress Shell "Styx" because it's the only LBG she has, and, well, it's Rarity 8.

Anja Arch III

The scorching arrows from this Anjanath bow cauterize flesh as they penetrate their prey.

Reyna made this powerful fire bow in preparation to hunt Arch Tempered Kirin, which she hasn't done yet.

Witcher's Silver Sword+

A sword made of silver possessing the power to ward off evil. Ideal for slaying monsters.

Like Zireael above, this is a Witcher's steel and silver sword. Unlike Zireael, this is considered a Sword & Shield weapon. Only the silver sword is used despite the apparent presence of the steel one. The "shield" comes in the form of Signs, mystical pseudo-spells used by Witchers due to their ineptitude in full-powered spellcasting. The shield is a Quen sign when used for defense, and an Aard sign when used for bashing purposes. Also unlike Zireael, Witcher's Silver Sword+ has a large portion of white sharpness and its Dragon element does not need to be freed in order to access it... also its Dragon element is stronger than Zireael's... Basically the only reasons to ever use Zireael are because it has higher base damage and a larger decoration slot.

Reyna adds another Witcher's Silver Sword+ and Zireael to the arsenal. One of those was made using the corpse of the recently-slain Ancient Leshen. Both are expected to see some use.

Oh, and she happily goes to bed with her assortment of weapons strewn about the room, blissfully unaware of the developments just a short dimension jump over.

Why did I subject myself to writing all this? 1. I felt like it. 2. To convey how Crazy-Prepared Reyna can be for any fight.

Skyrim

The Dark Realm portal closes as the dimensions shift... and reopens over Skuldafn. How quaint.

The time to investigate that portal again is probably almost upon us...

Despite what I just implied, I'm actually gonna hold off on running the Dracula boss fight right now, due to the fact that Bolded and Psyco, who mean to be a part of it, are offline, and Def is MIA.

Travelers Tower: Bakery - Central Hub

Pinkamena:    "Uh, guys?"   

Pinkamena stared out the window, motioning a few people in the kitchen over.

Seconds later, Pinkamena, Sanji, Mr. Mix, Chef, and Ignis are all standing at the window, watching the world shift around them.

Mr. Mix:    "What. The. Hell?"   

When the world reformed, Travelers Tower was in the Central Hub. It had seemed to update itself into some sort of shifting magitek structure, floating in an island in a small lake, ordained with purples and golds.

Bowser's Castle - Estraole

The castle shook, the location changing a lot less than before... The problem was, the castle was now halfway up the mountain. Bowser, Vegito, Leona, Kevin, and Bandana Doo stood in awe as the castle launched itself up the mountain, far away from where they were standing.

Kevin sighed in defeat.

Kevin: "Now what are we gonna do?"

Leona: "Climb."

Kevin looked at her funny...

Onyxis - Old Guard

Xigbar and BEN watched as the world turned cold and futuristic.

Xigbar put a finger up to his ear, contacting HABIT.

Xigbar:    "You seeing this?"   

HABIT:    "Crystal clear."

Skyrim

Thanos' signature ship, the Sanctuary, is on fast approach to Skuldafn, with some... unlikely passengers.

Glass Joe, trembling as usual, taps Thanos on the shoulder.

"What is it?"

"Heu... Monsieur Thanos... Why are we taking Le Sanctuaire? You just arrived, said 'This way,' and stole us aboard."

Thanos smirks wryly. "It's simple. According to our fastest scouts, the portal to the Dark Realm has shifted to a place called Skuldafn. It is said nothing can reach Skuldafn save for a dragon's wings. Of course, those same reports indicated the original inhabitants of this world never developed terrestrial flying machines, much less spacecraft, so we'll put that claim to the test. I will not ferry you every time, though, so someone is going to have to create a teleporter network for easy access."

The Sanctuary touches down atop the Skuldafn Temple, the Dark Realm portal being a short flight of hard-light stair steps away, behind the Sovngarde portal.

"We have arrived."

Sanctuary

An odd duo stood with Glass Joe and Thanos.

On the one side was Phoenix Wright, who was trembling... just a bit.

On the other side was HABIT, who along with Xigbar and the Old Guard had begun to make peace with the Travelers just before the world shifted, under the noses of Xehanort and his other comrades. This was a little test of loyalty for him while Xigbar and X were having a... "Peaceful Interview" with a couple of Travelers agents.

HABIT:    "The legend himself... I'd figure I'd come to blows with him at some point."   

Phoenix: "You mean Dracula?"

HABIT:    "Would there be anyone else I'm talking about?"   

Phoenix: "I mean, Thanos is pretty strong."

HABIT:    "I'm not gonna catch smoke with the guy giving us a ride. Does this ship have pizza?"   

Skuldafn

Bismark is walking around the temple, anxiously looking left and right constantly. How he managed to get here by himself is a mystery.

"Everything changed again... I don't know where anything is anymore. What do I do..."

He jumps when he hears a noise approaching, turning to look at where it's coming from, and sees the Senctuary.

"Wait, that's... oh!", he says, recognizing it. Once it lands he immediately runs over to it, and once he's close he can see the way to the Dark Realm portal as well.

"Oh, isn't that..."

Main Entrance - Hit and Brain

The castle suddenly drops in temperature, and the outside that was once a desert region is coated in Ice. The voice of Krampus echoes through the castle,

   "Where.... are we? Something is different, but I still feel this realm's erratic energy..... Strange. Leave my castle, your master awaits you."   

Onyxis - Yamoshi and Bardock

Gunnor makes a sudden recovery, smacking his left temple. He rushes forward towards Yamoshi, preparing for whatever was next.

Hit nods and vanishes.

Yamoshi throws his energy spheres into the air, flies up, and spikes them at Gunnor. The first one will encase him, the second one will make a giant explosion.

Thanos smiles and a pizza is delivered for Habit.

It has pineapples on it.

Learn, lawyer, that Thanos is not merely pretty strong. I could take on every single one of you and emerge triumphant. he says. Not fighting me is not courtesy, you are simply aware that suicide is stupid.

Speaking of pine-apple, Takumi is near, arms folded, along with Laurent.

Onyxis

Somewhere in the deep frozen lands of Onyxis a heat was rising up. If one were to look into the sky a fire was falling out of it. For about five seconds this fire got closer and closer to the ground, until it eventually impacted with the frozen ice covered land. Snow and ice instantly melted, and a small crater was left. A dent in the ground.

What looked like a man in the middle of the crater stood up, cracking his neck from side to side with a sigh. This entity was made out of fire and brimstone. He looked more demonic than anything else.

   "I have arrived. Order... I am coming for you."   

With that, the demon stepped out of the crater, and started slowly walking across the frozen land of Onyxis. With each step snow melted.

Sanctuary

HABIT and Phoenix stare incredulously at the pineapple pizza, barely registering Thanos's well-earned flex, simply nodding.

That's when Cheelai walks up to the pizza, takes a slice and eats it, completely undisturbed. The duo's attention turn to her as she munches away.

Cheelai: *gulp* "Why are you looking at me like that? It's sweet and savory!"

HABIT:    "I can't believe I let that pincushion talk me into this."
