She shakes her head and begins to quickly write down. If it present any closure, she's being approached by Samsara, so she's not alone.
Thanos's massive ship is in the horizon, floating above Primordia.
The Masked Man, as he's looking around while flying towards the Floating City, notices Thanos' ship way on the other side of the Arena.
"Thanos, huh? He sure likes to spend his time in that ship while we do the dirty work.", he mutters to himself.
As he turns away to fly further, he pauses, and glances back at the ship for a moment.
He's hesitant, and a little nervous. This is the guy who not only humiliated Porky, but also almost turned the Great Light against him, which would've been the end of Porky. Not to mention that, according to Psycho!Ness, he isn't afraid to speak his mind towards even Mara, who the Masked Man knows to be dangerous.
A big part of him is warning him that what he's thinking is a horrible idea. But all the rest of him figures that, maybe...
He grits his teeth and balls his fists, the right arm changing back to normal as he does this, and turns around, now flying towards Thanos' ship. He does so at a slow pace though, giving his own mind a chance to talk him out of doing what he's thinking about doing.
It doesn't take it.

"Seems you don't want to talk. Fine by me."
Seeing as negotiations were impossible with the tyranid, Chris aims his gun and begins opening fire. Under the sound of gunfire one might here a geiger counter clicking, as Chris is using depleted uranium rounds.
After Chris opens fire,The Zhu Tun She casts Rakunda in attempt to soften the carnifex's chitin, the Oni comes in wielding a Glaive of sorts, attempting to bring the blade down on the carnifex with the "Fatal Sword" attack, Followed up by Mothman casting Agi (Low tier Fire spell) at the carnifex.
After all that, Geralt Comes in attempting to Bring his silver blade down on the carnifex, doing a quick cast of quen afterwards (Witcher signs are cast REMARKABLY quickly in witcher 3) followed up by saying "Let's kill this thing quickly."

Thanos spot him and, arrogantly enough, a big door open, just for him. Entering will reveal a... surprisingly elaborate lay-out.
Outsiders, four-armed beasts, are working on lifting heavy weights, being prodded by Chitauris whenever they step out of line. Larger outsiders are also present, but appear more stable, though they beat their chest when they get too close to one another.
The halls of the ships are visited by various aliens in general. Some are blue-skinned, while others are wearing tattered armor similar to Loki and Thor's own, yet look human. They all look up towards the Masked Man but appear to look away, though some are intrigued by his appearance.
The Black Order dwells close to Thanos's entrance. Seems like he figured out why his ship is being boarded.
Few are allowed to enter this ship so easily. May your words be full of wisdom, for Thanos, above hate, hate stupidity... which is why certain members of this place have earned his ire.
... Just don't say stupid stuff. says Corvus. He grins "amiably" but it's clear that he's faking it. Proxima and Cull are silent.
Thanos's room is suitably large in spite of the small door that lead to it. It's filled with various items, some mystic, some technologic, carefully protected away beneath protections. Thanos himself stand upon a throne. The Cosmic Gauntlet lays on an altar next to him. He's clearly not worried about thieves.
You are one who seek answers, am I right ? he says.

The Carnifex was quick for it's size, but not nearly quick enough to dodge bullets. The first few round cracked the carapace next to it's right shoulder, while a few more shot through some of the razor-like spines on it's back, causing the beast a degree of pain but not really hurting it in a significant way. That crack in it's armor, though...
The casting is success, weakening the the Carnifex's armor in some very important places, and generally lower it's resilience. The Carnifex went to block the Oni's glaive with one of it's claws, stepping into the strike, and attempted to retaliate with a blow of it's own!
This was interrupted by a combination of the Witcher's silver sword, which bit into the beast's leg muscles, and the casting of Agni. It screeched in disdain as the flames washed over it, and the force of the oni sent it slamming into the trees. It quickly rose to it's feet, swinging it's tail like the grim scythe of the reaper at Geralt.
Weakness Exploited — Fire
Thranix came charging in, hammer in tow, and, with a mighty spin, clashed his hammer with the tyranid's steel-hard blade-growths. The flames washed over the tail, but due to this being a blocking hit, it didn't really matter all that much for his attack.
"C'mon, you great big bug, you can do better than that!"
It, in fact, could do better than that. Withdrawing it's tail, it got back to it's feet, and rushed forward in a mad frenzy of scything claws, right at Geralt and Thranix.
".... Fuck," the dragonborn exclaimed.
The Masked Man, while he figured Thanos would see him nearing, didn't expect him to willingly let him inside. Well, now there's no excuse for changing his mind anymore. He sighs and flies in, landing on the ground once he's inside, and retracting his wings. He looks around the room while slowly walking through it. He takes special notice to the people wearing clothes like Thor and Loki, recognizing the clothes. At first he wonders if they work for Thanos, despite Thor and Loki being his enemies, but then he notices their clothes are tattered, and he wonders...
After a while he stops looking at the rooms he goes through, and doesn't stop walking at any point, not acknowledging anyone, not even if they look at him, continuing forward with a military-like stoicism, until he reaches the entrance to Thanos' room.
He doesn't ignore the Black Order though. He doesn't know who they are, but if they're standing in front of what he assumes to be Thanos' room, judging by what one of them just said, then they must be important.
He gives a short, yet respectful nod to them in response to their words. He then enters Thanos' room, and is surprised by its size. He can't stop himself from looking around again, intrigued by the items that are kept here. His eyes eventually land on Thanos, and while he tries to remain as stoic as before, Thanos immediately guessing that the Masked Man is here with a question gets him out of it, looking a little shaken.
"How did you...?"
My work requires... quite a lot of analysis. he says. More often than not, the beings in my universe are able to control reality or perform immense feats of strength beyond my own. Thus, I am forced to use planning and understand how they act. As a result, I am quite confident in my ability to understand people and their silly desires.
He smiles, it's actually chilling, but it seems to be his default grin.
Though I have other methods of guessing... anyhow, going by your reaction. Am I correct, what may require the attention of the great Titan, uniter of the Arena in the face of annihilation ?
The Oni would get on guard after his failed hit, while the Zhu Tun She would start moving it's leg like it was about to charge. The smirking mothman would move in for a melee lunge. Geralt would take a hit from the scything tail, but would be protected by the sign he previously casted. Chris would seemingly concentrating on preparing for his next attack, preparing his mind for a spell. (CONCENTRATE USED, NEXT MAGIC ATTACK DOES 2.5 TIMES AS MUCH DAMAGE if it actually hits)
As the carnifex's claws come down, Geralt attempts to dodge out of the way, but takes a relative "Graze" from the claw, Injuring geralt moderately. Geralt downs a swallow after this and goes on the defensive, trying to look for an opening. "This thing's fast for how big it is. Gotta find a good time to move in..."

The Jagras that were struck by Reyna earlier go down easy, leaving three behind. And then the one attacking Baba gets yeeted into the horizon with a surprised yelp. Two to go.
Reyna resumes stabbing at the Ancient Leshen. It roars yet again, only to get a knife inside the mouth, causing it to stagger.
It seems to be having trouble staying on its legs, weakened by Reyna's persistent stabbing.
She draws her Great Sword, charges up power for three cycles, then smashes it against the side of the Ancient Leshen's head and rips it loose, creating a wicked gash that drops it back onto all fours as she jumps off to safety. She immediately begins setting up for a True Charged Slash while the Leshen is down.
"Control... reality?", he asks, actually looking the slightest bit intimidated now. After all, if such people exist in Thanos' world, and Thanos is here, able to talk about them, then he must be able to contend with those people.
He regains his calm, sighs, and puts his arms behind his back in a proper stance becoming of a general, commander, or even warrior king. He switches his voice to a more 'Commander'-like tone, the tone he formally used before Galeem showed up that made him sound like a much more sinister and lower-voiced Claus, but is still talking with respect.
"You... have a purpose. A laid out path that's completely clear to you, and all of your efforts are all in the name of that purpose. I don't have a lot of data on you, pretty much nothing, but I know this much. You live to see your purpose fulfilled no matter what happens and who gets in your way. But..."
His stoic glance wavers, a hint of insecurity seeping into his eyes.
"... have you... ever... at any point..."
He glances down and to the right.
"... doubted... your purpose?"
Thanos smiles and rub his chin, he actually look interested in that question.
Why, yes, I have. he says.
He bothers to get up and goes in another corner of the room. He casually put on a golden gauntlet, leaving the original gauntlet behind, near his throne. Of course, he likely has plans to deal with thieves, so approaching it is all-advised.
One day, I desired to please Death. For that purpose, I tracked down the infinity gems, put them on, and ascended to the title of most powerful being in the universe.
Looking nostalgic, he snaps.
I was undone, though esoteric circumstances. And I dropped my obsession with Death temporarily and retired to a life as a farmer. For after all, what greater goal remained to me ? After ascending to the title of most powerful being in the universe, what remained for Thanos to accomplish ? Had I not proven myself ?
However, in the end, destiny called me back, and I found a new-purpose. Death blessed my immortality, and I set out to explore worlds where her grip was not quite as strong as it is in her universe.
He take off the gauntlet and set it back to its spot.
Wavering is good. It indicates the sign of a long life and maturity. Only the fool or the zealous ever refuse to doubt himself. Endless devotion in a cause is nothing short of stupid.
Thanos experienced doubt. And thanks to it, he emerged stronger than ever, and with a newer purpose.
Wendy uses Petal Storm, unleashing a large leaf cyclone. It attempts to crush/cut the Ancient Leshen before detonating with great power. Harenzo, meanwhile, focus his strength, and his tattoo glows, causing his beam to glow white and increase his strength
Tokza smash her own belly with her fist, lowering her health enough to trigger Blaze, significantly augmenting the power of Flamethrower as she toss it.

The Masked Man is surprised that Thanos said yes. He'd honestly expected Thanos to laugh and call him a fool or something. So he listens to everything Thanos says with intrigue and keeps his eyes on him.
"Death is a... person?" , he mutters at some point, not loud enough to interrupt Thanos, as it's more meant as something he's saying to himself. He continues to listen intently. One of his last sentences seems to strike a chord with him.
Endless devotion in a cause is nothing short of stupid.
He glances down again, this time out of thought more than uncertainty. He doesn't say anything yet though, waiting for confirmation that Thanos is finished talking.
Edited by DevilPsyco on May 17th 2019 at 1:36:26 PM
A conversation usually require an exchange of dialogue. says Thanos, after awaiting for a certain moment.
He snaps back to attention.
"I didn't want to interrupt." , he excuses himself. He then paces across the room, heading over towards the window.
"When Claus died and I was born, I was told my place directly by Porky himself." , he says. "He was the king, and I was to be his direct servant. I would tend to his every whim, learn how to be a warrior, and work my way to the top of the Pigmask army. I was to be his right hand man, plaything, and double, and that was my sole purpose in life."
He stops in front of the window, looking down through it.
"I accepted this fate. After all, he'd given me life, and all I knew about anything was what he told me. For about four years I trained to be the thing he wanted me to be, and everything had to be perfect, lest there be consequences."
Thanos may notice that the Masked Man suddenly reaches for his own neck with his left hand, seemingly in an unconscious manoeuvre as he himself doesn't deviate from what he's saying, nor does his tone change. His hand's gripping motion, as well as a very brief surge of visible electricity, does imply some things though...
"And until this day I've served him the best I could. I've learnt everything he's wanted me to learn, done everything he's asked of me, no matter how little I understood his way of thinking, and no matter what the consequences would be for me or other people. When his commands were to do something that would mean the end of the world and everyone in it but himself, I went ahead and did it. It was natural for me to obey without question, even to this day. I know what my worth is to him, I'm a possession, a living, powerful, obedient toy, and nothing more. I have never had problems with this."
His gaze becomes more serious and slightly upset.
"Yesterday, however, he said something that... made me realize something."
You will no longer question my orders! You will follow them until the very last one! Understand!?
"When he said that, I remembered that day in our world, when I pulled the Needle."
Lucas and his little friends will reach us soon. , Porky says, snickering evilly. I've waited so long for the end of our little game.
The Masked Man looks behind him, at the Seventh and final Needle. He's pulled three, and the boy named Lucas, Porky's mortal enemy, has pulled three.
Master Porky, why did you tell me to wait? Why not pull the Needle before he gets here?
Because that's no fun of course! , Porky says, grinning. I want Lucas to earn the right to get here by getting past me, if he can. And if he can, I want you to fight him, beat him down, and make him WATCH as you undo all of his work. Pulling that needle and destroying this entire world and everyone in it.
Master Porky, isn't that risky? What if he gets past me?
He won't. Because I say he won't. , Porky darkly says. Lucas... he's just like Ness. The big hero, the cool guy, the one destined to save the world. But in the end, he'll always come short compared to me. He'll play my game by my rules. Always so close to victory, but never achieving it. Only this time, at the end, it'll be game over.
I've heard you speak of this 'Ness' many times now. Why do you not wish to say who this person is? He's in that movie in the theater, but aside from that-
I have TOLD you, that is NONE of your business! Stop asking me useless things and wait here. You are not to pull the Needle until either I come back, or until Lucas arrives here, and if Lucas arrives here, you will take him and his friends out, pull that Needle and destroy the world in the name of King Porky Minch!
Porky's Spider Mech points at the Masked Man.
That is my final order to you, servant!
The Masked Man is silent for a few seconds, but then salutes.
Yes, Master Porky.
"I remembered those last words he gave me. That was his final order. To end his game his way, even if it seemed illogical to me." , the Masked Man says, now taking off his helmet and dropping it on the floor. One of his hands balls into a fist and it starts shaking.
"It's made me realize that I have fulfilled his final order, and with that, my sole purpose in life, and after I realized this, I started asking myself something I have never asked myself before."
He glares at the window, his eyes shining red.
"Why am I obeying Porky?"
Edited by DevilPsyco on May 17th 2019 at 1:53:31 PM
To his credit, Thanos listens patiently, though he doesn't bother to feign sympathy or empathy. Instead, he walk around the room, looking at the masked man and smirking when the mask is dropped.
Ha, yes, him. Good of you to ask that question, truly. he says. Beyond your valid questioning, he is but a ghost at this point. I know nothing of your world, to my frustration, but I know the mark of a god. If you wish to serve Porky forever, then, soon enough, you will not be able to fulfill that task.
And that would be unfortunate.
His eyes stop shining. He looks unsure again, and it's more clear than before.
"... I always assumed I would just serve Porky until the very end. Even though I survived past the end of the world, I figured I'd no longer be useful to Porky one day and get scrapped. But that thought never bothered me back then. Now, however... I realize that I've already fulfilled my purpose long ago. I don't have to serve Porky. His word isn't law. But if this isn't my purpose, then..."
His expression turns to a conflicted one.
He then turns to Thanos.
"Since I knew of how you handle your purpose, I figured that, despite the incident that occurred between you and Porky a few months ago, you might be the only person I could talk to this about who would possibly understand my doubts. It was a risk to approach you, but despite my hesitance I had to take it. And now I've learned that you too have already fulfilled your purpose. But you have a new one now, one you're just as devoted to."
He approaches Thanos a little, but doesn't get too close. He doesn't want to risk anything.
"How? How can I do the same? Is it even possible for me to do the same? As pathetic as it is to beg, I..."
He visibly swallows his pride.
"Please. I need something. Anything."
Greatness come with mercy. says Thanos, though he seems to enjoy the sight of the groveling individual.
I have a small offer to make. A "fix", if you will. If you join me, first, you will detach yourself from Porky, thus allowing you to, at the very least, get rid of your old purpose. Then you shall be able to find a new one. he declares.
Of course, I am not offering it out of compassion. I wish to strengthen my army. If you fail to do well, there shall be punishment.
He blinks in surprise, and he does seem to genuinely think it over.
"I... can't make a decision on that at this very moment." , he eventually says. He grabs his helmet from the floor and puts it back on.
"I'm grateful that you made time to talk to me. I think I can deal with my doubts a little bit better thanks to you. I don't just want to leave without giving you something worthwhile in return though. I will tell you something that Porky told me, some information he picked up a couple of days ago. He'd probably get angry if he found out about this, and I don't know if you already know this or not, but I'll still tell you."
He glances at the window.
"There's someone out there killing puppets. Not defeating them, but genuinely killing them, tearing into them and severely damaging their bodies. It does leave us with less opponents in between us and Dharkon, but it could be a problem."
He turns back to Thanos.
"If they die in the Arena, they'll just come back to life. But if they die in the Dark Realm, nobody knows what will happen. If they stay dead, we will lose out on a lot of allies, even if they're only temporary. Not to mention that there's no telling if this person will or won't attack the allies we already have or not. I haven't seen any puppet corpses for myself, but I was told that the wounds were brutal. Like they were made by a wild animal, but with such precision and depth that they could only be made by a person. Whoever is doing this isn't defending themselves, they are intending to kill."
He nods once.
"I hope this information is useful to you, and that talking to me wasn't a huge waste of time for you. I will sincerely consider your offer. Thank you once again, and farewell."
The Masked Man starts to walk away.

The cerebroid feigns offense, cackling as he whirlwinds one of the corpse's arms before falling in line behind Hit.
Fuck you Yamoshi, he's having a fucking psychic seizure.
At least heeeee's probably not going to die from it.
Your information is appreciated. he says. I shall announce it to my troops soon-enough. You may leave.
Thanos sit down and his interlocutor is free to proceed out of the ship easily, with its master in deep thoughts.
The Masked Man leaves the ship, moving as stoically as he did when he came in, and once he's back outside and flying, he is lost in his thoughts and doubts again.
This time though, he feels more at ease about it thanks to the talk he had with Thanos. He glances at the portal to the Dark Realm.
Experiment 19 1-24 has escaped! If people find out about this, it'll be all over for me!
If the Great Light is given ANY reason to suspect me of ANYTHING, I'm doomed! Do you understand!?
We will search for the experiment and you'll take it out before anyone else gets to it! Nobody can see it, or even know that it exists at all! This takes the highest priority.
He stays in midair, crossing his arms and narrowing his eyes. A slight, yet still evil grin forms on his face.
"... Does it really though?"
He glances at the Floating City, then starts heading towards it.
Megan felt her wounds closing up, and got back to her feet, rolling her neck as she did so.
"That burns like the gates of Naraka, right there...," she mumbled.
She holstered her gun once more, and channeled her ki and mana both into her sword. The mix of ice-blue and bright-golden light produced a spiraling, blinding, bright green glow that raged along her blade like an mighty flame.
She ran up to the fallen leshen, and focused on the way Domon had taught her to extend the range of her sword. The power ran in an unstable loop, as likely would knock her out of her Hyper Mode if it hit. She focused on the hit to come, the way the power would explode outward, and leapt into the air.
""BURN, SWORD OF MY SOUL! EXPLODING... WYVERN... SLASH!"
"You're telling me! This thing moves like a demon high off of thunderdust!", Thranix said, as he hoisted his weapon over his back and sprinted away, trying to gain some distance.
The Carnifex charged after him, not sensing any kind of trap from the black-armored dragonborn.
The Oni's guard saved it from a stray claw which whipped its way, and from getting slapped with the tail of the creature — although it was possible that the bladed portion might have looped over the guard and gotten some mild chip damage in on it. If the Zhu Tun She was n the creature's path, it might want to charge sooner rather than later. It was only a matter of waiting for the right gap.
As for mothman... well, smirking was not a sufficient defense against the bulk and savagery of a ravening tyranid warbeast. It did save him from the worst of the damage, however, so he likely wasn't completely fucked just yet — moreso just battered. His melee attacks caused the creature to flinch slightly, but didn't seem to do all that much to it.
Thranix did what could only, at this point, be described as trademarked levels of stupid and ballsy — he prepped his hammer, and tried to smash the Tyranid's knee in. The prior softening of the chitin would make the hit more potentially damaging, and Thranix's own monstrous strength might be enough to stop the beast in it's tracks. To his surprise, the hit connected... but not quite where he had intended it to.
The Tyranid tripped, planting the lower two of its blades into the ground to try and regain some stability. It looked genuinely sick after a hit like that — maybe even a little shocked. It trashed it's tail behind it, trying to hit something, anything. Meanwhile, it located Thranix, who got bowled over as the beast had tripped, and grabbed him in his leg.
Via the Tyranid's mouth.
Not even the mightiest of magical armor can long resist the sheer ravening fury of a tyranid in rage. Or maybe the arena was just acting odd today. Soon, it's jaws were clamped firmly around the dragonborn's leg, and it turned to face the group, new prize in hand. Thranix swung his flaming maul around wildly, trying to smash the beast in really any part of it's body, but he would prefer to hit the head.
Sadly, he did not — not yet.
"PUT! ME! THE FUCK! DOWN!"

Tokza adopts a stance, barely deploying her claws.
"End. Now!" Baba shouts as she pulls out a skull at the same time Dawn charges energy into his spear. Both flank Leshen and fire beams (fire and light, respectively) at the beast.
Reyna joins the onslaught with a fully-charged True Charged Slash.
The Ancient Leshen's arms and legs are fractured before it has a chance to get up, severely weakening it.
Still, it rises to its feet, and launches a huge wall of Revoltures at Dawn, Baba, Megan, and all of the Pokémon.
One of the last Jagras lunges to bite at Tokza, while the other attempts to snap its jaws on Megan.
Reyna remembers Viserys and Awkeff, and their deal to jump in if they saw her SOS Flare. Where are those guys, anyway?
