It wasn't that much of a mistake, she's outside the splash zone. Oca powers down as well after making sure Zel is stable.

Garchomp, however, would have made a very terrible mistake if the Stardust Breaker hadn't blasted most of the corruption away. Only a few drops should splatter on him as the remains of the daemon are blown apart.

Oca plops down into base form.

"Geez…" He looks over at the collapsed yet angery Zel, before looking around for any signs of the other two daemons.

The Set Animal gets split in half by the blade, but it is Bloodless Carnage because the monster is a sand construct. It dissociates into lifeless particles, and its khopesh dissolves with it. Whether it is dead or its consciousness has escaped to elsewhere, the result is the same: it has lost this fight.

Narktus' eyes go wide as he sees the blade bearing down on him. He vanishes out of the way in a speed blur. "... Who or what the hell?"

"So... is it dead?"

Set is standing in the middle of all the carnage, with purple whispers coming around him, healing his wounds and causing part of his armor to dissolve into flesh.

   Yes....   

He looks at Narktus and pulls his silent vanishing trick again, appearing close to him. He actually pull his blade away though, slamming it into his cyborg body as the weapon seamlessly meld into the armor.

   No. I can't kill you now. And your removal would be a tremendous waste of chaos.

Garchomp begins to roll on the ground.

"I M GONNA TAKE A LONG NICE SHOWER ! AND STREAM IT !" he says, between panicked screeches.

"And more," she replies. "It has been so long since I've acquired such a sum of knowledge without having to battle something for it. It almost feels like cheating."

"Well, we all need to be cut a break once in a while," Miles admitted as he kept his eyes on the water, "...I have to warn you though that you might see some...unpleasant things included amongst my memories of these...what I like to call "echoes"."

Narktus flinches when Set does that. "... Tesekh. I suppose you're not attacking simply because you have more to gain from me?"

Set doesn't answer at first and merely look around, glancing at the cliff created by his attack. He then watch the Arena repair itself and let out a weird grunt.

   Yes... you will bring more chaos in the future. And chaos is good. This place is stained by order. Balance has been compromised. Only a great act of chaos may fix the balance.    he says, losing interest in the conversation once more.

"..." Narktus' eyes narrow. He then shakes his head. "For the future, we are not allies. This is only a matter of convenience to you, and I do not see anything more to gain from working with you."

He teleports away.

Set sit down and blinks as Narktus vanish.

   Allies. What a funny way for a mortal to say "puppet".   

"Thanks for the warning, though I like to think I have been to enough places said to drive people mad with a single glance and kept my sanity to be mostly prepared for anything," she replies. Miles can see that this is no empty boast. Effectively nothing she may see in his memories causes her to so much as flinch.

"After the dozenth evil incomprehensible abomination of darkest despair, they sorta start losing their edge, you know," she says, as her astral form begins fading from his mind, having completed her little tour and filled several books in the span of some half an hour.

Finally back in reality, Miles groaned and massaged his temples, "Well, that was...an experience."

After making sure he was ok, Nebula then addressed Tokiko, "Alright, so time for my end of the deal, I guess. What did you see that interested you most?"

Krampus makes a snow globe suddenly appear in his left hand, he puts it on the ground; and a massive explosion, almost equivalent to a ballistic missile; then jumping into the hole.

Mr. Pew Pew nods to Wendy.

Crank casts Heroes' Feast, conjuring a magnificent feast whose food will mend the injuries of the consumers.

Blade Wolf approaches the group. "So, the time is coming."

This scene is timefrozen until Gamer and possibly Arachnos get involved in it... and it's up to them to discuss how that might happen.

"Quite a few things," she says, going over the books that have written themselves while she was in Miles' mind and indicating some of her notes to Nebula. "And you are truly able to channel the powers of any of these entities? Are you absolutely certain you wish to part with some of your strongest abilities? Even just what I have already seen is a great boon," she says with a gesture that encompasses the new books. "I would not hold it against you if you changed your mind."

Nebula took a deep breath before nodding, "I am certain. Me and Miles have seen what happens when one has too much raw power on their side....it drives them to do terrible things believing that they're in the right. We...we are not ready for that kind of responsibility,"

She put up a finger, "But I have a condition to add...I want you to make a binding contract. You will not exploit what we give you nor let it fall into the wrong hands. Lock this knowledge up, use it to make lives better, I don't care...but break the contract and I will hunt you down. Do you accept?"

"So, you wish for me to become a guardian of your powers and prevent them from being misused. Very well. I can do that."

She takes a blank scroll out of a void, chants a new incantation, ending with Blood Oath, then takes out a small dagger and makes a cut on her left hand. She then recites:

"I, Tokiko, in virtue of this oath taken before the individuals that follow: Miles, Nebula, solemnly pronounce that I shall not use any power granted to me on this day to partake in or commit any action that would traditionally be defined by a majority of Earth M-2314's residents to be immoral, cruel or violent without necessity, including but not limited to violence against or exploitation of any person for any form of gain on my part, be it material or emotional, if such violence or exploitation would be defined by a majority of Earth M-2314's residents to be a form of unlawful attack on one who is innocent of any crime against me or others that would be justly punishable by such means, excepting any case where such measures are necessary to ensure the survival, well-being and prosperity of a population that is greater in scope than myself. I agree that this contract be binding indefinitely and that any breach of it for any reason be discussed prior with the aforementioned individuals and authorized by them. I agree that no changes to this contract may be made without the knowledge and consent of the aforementioned individuals. I agree that on this day, this oath becomes effective."

As she speaks the names of Miles and Nebula, she motions for them to hold out their hands and draws sigils on them in her own blood, which shimmer and seem to be absorbed into them. As she continues to speak, her blood pours out of the cut and forms into letters on the Blood Oath. As she speaks the last line, a large drip of blood falls and forms into a seal at the bottom of the Oath, which then rolls up by itself. Tokiko then hands it to Nebula.

"If I break the terms of the Oath, you will instantaneously become aware of the circumstances of said infringement, my location, and gain the ability to travel to said location, wherever it may be. If you choose to enact retribution for my actions, my ability to take any measures against you will be hindered."

The two did as requested, before Nebula decided it was time to get this over with, "Alright, I'm ready. Do what you gotta do." She closed her eyes and braced herself as Miles held her hand.

Tokiko draws an arcane circle around herself, then around Nebula, reaches into another void to draw some reagents (which include some expensive-looking precious gems), which she turns to dust in her hands and scatters around the circles. She then begins chanting again, and a raging flux of magic begins flowing from Nebula into Tokiko as the latter starts losing her grip on some of her abilities.

As the transfer happened, Miles caught the gaze of the Hollow Knight who looked down at his own damaged body before looking away. "Hey, you think that you can give the Hollow Knight his Echo? We've done what we can to heal him but having some semblance of the Void with him might help speed his recovery a lot."

"I see. I was looking forward to experimenting with the powers of a void entity, but having received so much, I am not exactly in any position to refuse."

She repeats the ritual with the Hollow Knight, this time in reverse, though instead of a torrent of magic, only a single dark horned shadow with milky white eyes emerges from her body and fuses with the Knight.

The Hollow Knight's body, having received an infusion from the Void, began to stagger back and forth, his body convulsing as bubbly warts of Void formed on him, only for a new arm to explode forth to replace his missing one and the cracks on his body fading while his cloak filled out again only now covered in the energy of a Shade.

He stood there, examining himself as a sense of completeness was now around him. He looked to the group and nodded in gratitude as the crack in his mask began to fade too.

Miles caught Nebula as she finished the transfer. After a moment, she smiled at him, "I'm fine. My head feels...clear now, actually." The two hugged.

"Thank you, both of you. You have advanced my research by leaps and bounds and reduced the risk of me being caught unprepared again."

Tokiko suddenly smacks herself on the head. "I can't believe I forgot. I should have made sure we weren't being observed before undertaking rituals like this. Not everyone is as kind as you are, and I can't afford to grow sloppy. Triple Widen Magic: Detect Life, Dead, Construct. Triple Widen Magic: Detect Positive and Negative Energy."

She suddenly looks in the direction of the Old Dragontail Tree. "Well, I am heading this way. I am sensing tremendous negative energy and I wonder if I could learn something from its source. You are welcome to join me, if you will." She mounts her ghost ibis again and prepares for takeoff.

"Hmph. Well, that's been sufficiently taken care of."

Defense powered down, Future!Chris walking up to him.

"Ah. Is the conflict finally over?"

"I think so."

"Okay, that's good to hear."

"Old Dragontail Tree, huh?" Miles looked off in the direction Tokiko was looking, "Sounds interesting. Shall we go, partner?" She nodded and the two fist-bumped before fusing together as one again. The Hollow Knight stepped up beside them as they sprouted butterfly wings on their back while growing an extra foot or two to carry the Hollow Knight on their back, "Lead onwards, Tokiko."
