He looks at every one, and blinks back tears. But these ones are happy.

'Th-thanks guys~.'

He leans into the hug, taking as much advantage of this as he can. This doesn't solve the underlying problem, but, well, hugs are nice.

"? MMMBBLMBLMBML!"

He waves Miles over to his little picnic.

A head pops over his shoulder. Looks like Junior is with him.

Let's get going, then. Wilder starts heading south.

Shaymin follows him excitedly.

They also follow, clearly happier than before.

Garchomp's yellow eyes pop out of the sand, far behind. He grins and sinks into the sand.

The two sisters gasped, "Junior!!" They left Miles side and started flying towards the little guy, "It's so good to see you! You been a good boy?" Nebula quizzed.

Miles chuckled as he walked over, "Hey, it's been a while. Man, I got some crazy stories to tell you about..." He then noticed what he was eating, "Uh...is that jerky?"

Vent follows along. He still misses his friends, but… these are his friends too, aren't they?

He looks back out of the corner of his eye, and scampers to keep up with his friends. This shiny Porcusinge has a lot more to learn.

'Still… I wonder what Psicris is doing?'

The ancient psychic pokemon slowly approaches a leaf, and takes a bite. He savors the sap.

It looks like he's moved three meters since Mark spotted him half a year ago.

Junior nods and hops over to Nebula and Corona. He grins and twirls his tail.

"Fuck yeah, bro. Ripped right off of a megamutant. Fried it myself~."

He rips another chunk off the mound of jerky and hands it to Miles.

Miles eyed the piece of meat with a raised eyebrow before shaking his head, "Thanks for the offer but I'm good with just some apples. Gotta get my vitamins and all..." He took another bite of his apple to prove his point, "Mmm...juicy apple..."

The two sisters giggled and flew in a circle around Junior before Nebula went to land on his head.

"So, how are things going in your universe, Oca?" Miles quizzed him as he tried to keep his eyes off the meat.

"Sure, whatever."

'! Bah!'

Junior sends his tail up, trying to grab Nebula with it. He's gentle, but there's definite mechanical strength in his motions.

"Real good! Salda in Sector 6 was almost iced by an X Tier, but then Kajika from their division of the Counter Chaos Patrol burst in and showed why he's a registered Specialist Elite. My god, he was demonic. Or, uh, the opposite of that."

"Only a dozen or so planets left to move, and we've started evacuating inhabited pocket dimensions. Terra's last on the list along with Purater, and hell has started to be emptied, though that's probably going to take until the end of the Ninth. Chaos is gonna find a surprising lack of resistance next 'march', I can tell you that~."

"Well, at the very least, you guys are almost home-free," Miles smiled at Oca before sighing, "As for me? Well...I died recently," He shrugged, "It's actually a rather long story but..." He then proceeded to go over recent events, namely teaming up with the likes of Thor, Sonic, a Saiyan who had the power of Super Saiyan Blue, and a bunch of other folks to take down a revived Void Termina.

Only for Miles there was the handicap of not having access to most of his powers since he had given them to Nebula and Corona...which then led to him dying, only to revive with the powers of said Destroyer Of Worlds. Overall, a pretty crazy story.

He seems only mildly interested, though he perks up when Callis is mentioned.

"Oh, man, Callis! I should hang out with her again sometime, it's been like a month."

"And, huh, little pieces? … Those sound like the 'small tasties' that Enforcer had found here and decided to eat. Hope cause anything to fuck up."

He's also sympathetic when he mentions dying, though he reacts as though he had said something far more minor.

"Callis, huh? Well at least I have a name to assign to the face..." Miles leaned back against a tree as he ate some more fruit, "I don't think I ever asked but...where exactly are all you guys planning to vacate to?"

Corona flew around Junior's head before turning into a ball for him to play with.

Junior giggles as he tries to bounce the ball up into the air.

"A universe Cinke found while scanning. Seems pretty empty, though we're gonna change that up. Either way, it looks like we're getting a better ending than most."

"… Hey, have you seen our universe?"

Miles shook his head, "Me and Nebula have seen some other worlds in our travels, but from what I've learned about your universe, I haven't been there and it...no offense, but it doesn't exactly sound like the most friendly spot in all of time and space..."

He then raised an eyebrow, "You thinking of making a jump back over there for something?"

"I mean… I live there, at least for now, so…"

"Wait, no, you have been there! You was at Oxa's place on Purater a little while ago!"

He shoves the rest of the jerky down his throat before standing up and stretching.

"If you're going, I might as well follow you. Get a chance to see it before everything collapses and stuff..." Miles finished his apple, "Who knows? Maybe my friends and I can actually do some good over there, though if what you and Oxa have told me that'll be easier said than done..."

He called out to the others, "Ok guys, we're heading over to Oca's universe!" Intrigued, the two aliens flew to Miles side again.

He snorts.

"Nah, I doubt it. You guys are, erm, rather low on the power scale. Like… under the baseline low."

Oca whistles for Junior, who jumps and wraps himself around him.

"Okay y'all, just grab onto my arm."

Miles did as asked while his alien friends held on to him in turn.

*bawoop*

Oca and company teleport in on a barren, rocky coast. The sea extends forever around them. The coast itself is… only a dozen or so meters wide, because right next to them is a massive wall with a machine mutant standing guard.

Behind the wall, glorious skyscrapers rise, signaling the presence of a technologically advanced metropolis. The bulky machine mutant watches them idly as the waves lap against the stony shores.

The entire world gives off a slight aura of uncomfortableness. Probably just the radiation.

Needless to say, Miles and his friends are a little shocked at the scenery before them, especially at the sight of the massive wall with the city looming overhead, "Wow...it looks just like a scene from a science-fiction novel back home..." Miles remarked in awe.

"So, this is your home, Oca?" Nebula asked

"Uh… no. I live like five thousand kilometers that way."

He points due north-northwest.

"A friend, or at least one of my girl's friends lives here."

He waves to the machine mutant guard, who seems to recognize him and waves back.

"But we're seeing my world, right?"

The trio nodded in agreement, "So, what exactly's the story behind this place?" Miles asked, gesturing to the city for emphasis.

"Hm… used to be a small village called Penguin Village, the last remnant of Neo Japan from the Lower Fifth Age. Was lucky enough to have the brilliant machinist Doctor Senbei Norimaki born into it in the 700s, and became a technological wonderland hub within the century."

"Penguinopolis is probably the most 'modern' city on the planet, probably cause it's filled with carbons instead of subsaiyans or triclops. They have casual vehicles and 'credit cards' and 'wi-fis' and all sorts of weird technology."

"Weird to you, maybe, but for people in my time, they're a part of everyday living," Miles said before eyeing the city again, "Think we can stop in for a quick visit? I want to see if this cash I been carrying around is of any use," He pulled out his wallet and revealed a couple of ten and twenty dollar bills.

"Nah, that stuff wouldn't work anywhere. Most people use Zencoin… and these guys only use their 'inter web credits' or whatever you call them. No physical money in sight."

"And sure, whatever, we can go in."

He walks up to the machine mutant, who nods. Seems like he's been here enough times for the big guy to see him as not a threat, at least. He motions for Miles and his buddies to follow. The robotic bulk eyes them suspiciously but doesn't do much besides plugging a few of its wires into the wall.

Miles followed behind Oca and Junior as he and his friends finally got their first taste of what the future may have in store for his Earth. "Wow..." He eyed the metal towers with wonder as did his alien friends. Sure, the Arena was a great place and all, but being able to step into what might as well be the city of tomorrow was something else altogether.

The machine mutant's wires spark a bit, and Oca and company are slammed with energy.

They appear on the other side of the wall a nanosecond later, within the borders of Penguinopolis. The megacity spreads out before them. If they look in the right places, they can see that it extends below as well as to the sky.

In addition, it gets way thicker the further into the island they look. The center is almost solid building with tunnels.

Someone pops out of one of the small teleporters a few meters away.

"Geez! Give me a heads up or something, why don't you?!"
