Severus looks at Asura and the caped man.
"A valid point, as some particularly skilled and clever mages are capable of returning from death. In Malkoran's case, however, he was fatally impaled and cast into an abyss by myself and the academy's Achmage, respectively, after an intense battle. I'm not sure even he could return from that."

Asura nods at the caped guy.
"He may send some other stuff too, so be alert."
He turns back to Jules.
"I guess not. Still, if any of them show up here, I'll help out."
"Seems physically dead, but there's a possibility his soul didn't get completely erased."
The guy with the cape sighs, before he waves his cape around and something appears to drop "out" of it into his hand.
"Things could've turned out differently, but as it stands, his elimination was the right way to go."
The caped man makes a calm face towards Asura. "I'm ready for anything if it happens."
Finally, he inquires Jules.
"So, extradimensional horrors or something?"
He makes a grin.
"Like the kinda stuff that I remove in my day job?"

"If Malkoran's soul wasn't destroyed, then chances are it was banished to Hell itself," Severus says to the caped man. "And while I agree that his death was necessary, I can't help but wonder how things would have been if he could have been talked out of his attempted conquest..."
He looks at Jules and Asura.
"Should either of these dark forces you speak of invade this world, I'll gladly aid you in destroying them if I'm available."

Asura turns to the caped guy and stares at him for a moment before turning and leaving.
"A pity indeed. At least there's a good chance he won't be back."
The caped man nods towards Severus.
He then gives a warm smile to Jules.
"I'm always interested in removing threats."
He gives a farewell wave to Asura.
"Best of luck, man!"

Severus bids farewell to Asura, then returns the caped man's nod.
"Indeed. And in the event that he does return, I'll be ready to end him once more."
He shifts his gaze over to Jules.
"Think nothing of it, Jules. Should I be otherwise occupied, I'm friends with two other mages who'd be glad to help as well; one's a white-haired elf named Cereus and the other is a dark-haired young woman named Thalia."

The caped person gives a thumbs-up as he tosses that weird object that dropped from his cape.
"Heh, glad to see you've got friends around. Me? Gotta do stuff alone, really."
He doesn't tell the others that he does have friends back at where he's from, but they don't join him in his travels.

The caped man gets up from the chair as he tosses the object into his hand back towards his cape, where it appears to be "absorbed" back in.
"More a personal preference, I'd say."

The caped guy gives an internal sigh of relief as he thinks to himself.
(That, and most of my friends are the kind who would break so many legal barriers. Hacking/stealing, counterfeiting, assassination, and all that stuff? And when you're from the Dark Web, you tend to keep things less covert and subtle.)
He begins to walk away from his seat as he sighs, having received a message from an unknown sender.
"Anyway, got a job assignment to do my side. During my 'vacation' no less. A pity, wish I could stay longer."

Severus bids farewell to the caped man, then gets up and heads off to one of the inn's spare rooms.
After a huge absence, Luke the cute, awesome and fluffy Mew is back! He's playing Final Fantasy X on his Laptop, enjoying the end-game. After beating the newest boss he shouts louldly and happier "YES!! Take that you evil freak!!", and quickly flies around their mid-air psychic bubble in joy.

*Someone way off in the distance, sitting cross-legged on the stone floor of a fortress built into a mountain that was then moved to a place where it shouldn't be, seems to be observing the situation over at the tower. Just don't ask how he's doing it, it's kind of complicated and there's a lot of shenanigans involved with spacetime and gratuitous use of powers.*
The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me.

*Even that soft thump seems to have been registered, especially considering it happened very close to the time that the tower disappeared. The guy on the mountainfort responds by opening his eyes, glancing down at the new object near his fortress, then spending a moment in his thoughts before starting to get up.*
