Lapis laughed a little, "True, I'm an earth manipulator, if it's metal, rock, or soil, and I can touch it, I can manipulate, once I touch it, I can hold it up in the air and throw it, etc. Ummm, my power manifested at age 7, and that's when everything went wrong for about five years, but let's not ponder on that," Lapis thinks for a moment, "Oh yeah, and I'm 17 and my name's Blake Barrelknocker, but everyone calls me Lapis, which is Latin for rock. Came up with it myself in my street years." He smiles at his finish, "Perhaps we'll be friends, you seem fun to hang out with."
After finishing, he hears the several loud screams, "The hell's going on over there?"

With the curious noise came the curious probing of Matt's mysterious mind, sneaking in through the backdoors of his classmates' minds, jumping from one to another to glean what information he could. He closed his eyes as he focused on this task, opening them when he felt satisfied with his conclusion.
Just people being silly, he replied to Lapis. No one's in danger yet. Holding his hands between his legs as he settled his elbows on his thighs, leaning forward slightly, Matthew gave Lapis a curious look.
Tell me, Lapis: how good are you with your powers? You've had them for ten years, and I've had mine for only four.
Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%...Matt, in his search for info and such, came across Blake Westman, currently rooming just a bit further down the hall.
His thoughts were a deal more frantic and for less silly reasons.
He was looking on his phone at a news feed, saying that; Accoutable sources, remaining members of Selene's Inner Circle have regrouped and are moving toward the outer San Jose area. Similarly a duo of lesser criminals have been sighted heading for a destination in the same area.
Matt blinked when he came across such a frenzied mind, his focus and his mind disturbed by the information he read behind Blake's eyes.
...well, that was something else. Deciding he was done eavesdropping on other people's thoughts, he tried to focus on getting to know his roommate, hoping that what he saw wouldn't be important.
If not, I know who to confront first...
Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%...Rachel sighed. "I should probably try to unpack some of my things. Ugh. There's a lot of things I'd rather do than unpack."
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Cassidy sighed, "Well, alright...good luck out there."
Cassidy then looked one last time at her phone and gasped at the news, "Like...you would not believe what I'm seeing here. Surviving members of the Inner Circle seen in San Jose near the outskirts..."
She then got a contemplative smile - if she could assemble a team of competent badasses and bring down the Circle, then she'd be like at the top of her class...!
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
"I think so, but where are we going to get Stormtrooper costumes around here?"
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics."No idea, but do you know how good it'd look on a group of students if our entry credentials included "whupped Inner Circle ass"?"
Especially for the gorgeous, talented psychic in charge. That'd be sure to get Nate's attention.
She did admit that sneaking out after dark - when the Circle was probably gonna be out and about - would be a challenge.
"I'm guessing only marginally better than 'got their asses kicked by Inner Circle and had to be rescued by the real Avengers'," Rachel says. "We're kids with basically no experience with our powers, and no idea what we're doing. Even in the off-chance that we did win, the fact that we snuck out to fight dangerous supervillains without letting anyone know where we were going would probably get us, like, all the detention. Which, you know, is nothing new to me. So I'm willing to go along with this. But I think you might want to think it over a little more first, because it really is a terrible idea."
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Daniel will realise he almsost feel asleep up on the roof watching the sunset and will port back to his room and actually go to bed. Giving a curious look at the electric tape covering various nooks and crannies.
"After time adrift among open stars, along tides of light and through shoals of dust, I will return to where I began."“Oh come on, its not that terrible an idea...I mean, I've heard there's, like, only two of em left. One who shuttled Selene all over the place with teleportation, the other has a deadly touch. But, I mean, I'm a psychic...you, you look tough. I know some tough people...think of it like a placement test. How much trouble can these two be?”
Cass was completely sold, it seemed, on her idea to take down Mortis and Blink and then...then...take them to class the next day as show and tell?
Okay, so what we'd do with them is a loose end, but I'm sure if we put our heads together we can figure something out.
Rachel shrugged. "Famous last words. We'll probably get there and find out that, like, they're still working for Selene, or they're working for Shaw, or they've got, like, 50 more mutants with them or something. This is superhero shit, and superhero shit never goes the way it's supposed to. Especially not for teen heroes. 20 bucks says at least one of us ends up dead. Or at least near-dead. I'm willing to take that chance. Are you?"
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics."I can take the chance. And I will personally make sure not a one of us ends up dead or near dead."
Her outer, sudden and icy confidence belied an inner question; How am I going to commit to this? Hmph, if worst comes to worst, I need to...do what is best for the team...y-yeah...
Though the mention of Selene did give Cass a notable shiver, "And...I heard Selene's toast. So no need to worry about...her. Alright, meet me by..." She took out her room info card, "I'll get some other interested parties. Meet me by my room, C32."
Meanwhile with the so mentioned team of supervillains, the death dealing Inner Circle...
...They were on rather hard times.
Mortis looked around as she and Blink appeared out of their teleportation, this...yeah, this little outlying bit of San Jose looked like where The Provider had said to meet him.
Seemed there was an old abattoir near by. Matched the description. Ever since Selene's death and the group's break up, Mortis had awoken from her coma to find some "Provider" responsible and asking the remaining members of the Circle to assemble in this little outlying area.
What made the two nervous was there was a school for heroes not too far away, and most likely they'd be spotted and used as fodder for some sort of test.
Mortis sighed as she and Blink kept on, "...I kinda miss Kevin and the others."
Blink had taken the news of some of the deaths pretty hard, considering the condition she was in, "Kev was kinda prickly, but he was alright. Okay, as long as he didn't get thirsty. I swear, once we team up with Provider, there will be a reckoning!"
She then almost slipped and fell during their trek.
"All right. I'll go get changed into some fighting clothes."
Rachel went to her room, and changed into a pair of jeans that already had some tears, and a white t-shirt. She considered leather pants, but she always thought she looked really good in those, and she didn't want them to get damaged. She decided against a leather jacket for the same reason, and instead put on a "Magneto Was Right" hoodie.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Instead of talking, Lapis pulls out a somewhat ok sized stone, touches and then melds it into an exact replica of his roommate, without much thought, he forms it back into the stone and the around his arm, like an armor, "That's how good my powers are," he says as the stone turns back into its form.
Mike, after a few moments of unorganized chasing, loses Scarlett in the dorm. He decides its best to get to sleep, probably having stuff to do in the morning and not wanting to ruin his 1st week here. Upon reaching his room he quickly gives it a once over with X-ray vision before quietly heading to bed
Sometimes it best to leave the lights OffCassidy, after Rachel leaves to get dressed, decides to go see if any of the guys would be into her idea of a placement test.
She ran by Lapis and Mike's rooms, and sent a mental message to them, "Hello, guys, I'm Cassidy Caroline, and I've got some news. Supervillains sighted on the outskirts, two of em. I am gathering a kickass team of Teen Avengers willing to bring the Inner Circle's last dregs to justice. You in?"
Jake was also sent the message, and he sighed - immediately he remembered some story a friend of his had told him about the Necrosha thing. He knew it was probably not gonna end well, but at least if it did he might be able to do something about it.
And possibly get some experience.
Daniel then likewise got the same message from Cassidy.
