Great, Zari is now a Kardashian.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyLadies and gentlemen, I give you...Ava and the Sharpes!
They showed Trump over Legends in Murica. What did I miss?
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I really don't get it. How can this new Zari already be an adult, when the Dragon thing is what made her famous? And no, you can't explain it away with the Crisis, given that Behrad was there too and was the same age as now^^
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianI don't get it either. My guess is that they just wanted to get her back on the show as soon as possible.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadZari is still from the future, it's just a different future now. You didn't see the "2044" timestamp, did you?
My bad.
Btw the new intro kicks ass
Of all the new intros, Legends of Tomorrow's is by far the best. Holy crap, that's awesome.
I like the concept behind this one, even if the twist is really easy to see coming. But then, it's supposed to be. Freddy's mother was the killer all along - a la Friday the 13th - and he took the blame to protect her or something, leaving present day Freddy full of rage.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Goddamn, I love this stupid, silly, awesome show.
Re: the killer being Freddy's mother. It not only made sense, but it creates another parallel between him and Nora. She knows what it's like to have a killer parent and she knows the bad path he could go down, because she went down that path. But man, I love her and Ray's relationship — when he just puts a blanket over her, it was such a heartwarming moment. Especially because, apparently, all kids want these days are ponies.
Also, Beth Riesgraf? I totally didn't recognize her until late in the episode.
Also, one of the writers of the episode tweeted images of the rough draft whiteboard for this episode. Apparently, originally, trying to make the serial killer cooler just resulted in him becoming more confident and never caught, while Charlie had her own storyline about not knowing where she came from. I'm guessing the first was changed because they realized it would be better if he wasn't the killer and the latter was changed because there just wasn't enough time.
Man, you can tell just how much fun this crew has doing their jobs. Awesome episode as always.

I am always surprised by how much they can make a thief so damn likable. In second place for me is Nora's plot. I just love Ray's and her's chemistry.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadYou know, I do kinda miss when the Legends were actually Superheroes.
Ray's going to leave soon, and most of the rest of them don't wear uniforms. I must be the only person who misses how they were in earlier seasons before they started to emphasize the screw ups for the greater good angle.
Not that I don't enjoy how off the rails they can be, but when was the last time Nate seriously used his powers?
Edit: Also any thoughts on Zari V2?
And any guesses on Sara's business in Star City? Perhaps this takes place around the time of Ollie's funeral and that's what she's going to?

One Strip! One Strip!this was filmed at the same time as crisis also sara already did oliver's funeral
Oh. That makes sense.
One Strip! One Strip!according to synopsis's sarah is still gone next episode and in two episodes ava will confront her about what she was really doing. also darhk is coming back to interupt ray and nora's date
This is a more heinous crime than anything else he has done.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobThe show never really did the costumes or other superhero hallmarks that much, since they're usually trying to blend into whatever time period they're visiting, so the normal secret identity issues don't apply.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoJesus Astra, you really are a deranged little puppy at this point.
The Constantine and the Legends storyline were really in stark tonal contrast this episode, but I liked it.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% Scandinavianok so we got our 90's kung fu/john woo inspired episode. but its next episode that i'm really looking forward too
Damn, this episode was good. And it was directed by Caity Lotz! Our own Sara Lance directed the hell out of it. (See what I did there?)
So we finally got some backstory for Charlie beyond simply "she's a shapeshifter." And it's pretty interesting, too. She's Clotho of the Fates.
Matt Ryan as Constantine killed it in this episode. The scene where he pushes everyone away was just 100% Constantine. And then the conversation he had with his, uh, bulldog cane — just the right amount of weird. And of course he had a plan, but even he didn't know if it was going to work. And he cut it super close. (The best bit, though, was after Gideon tells everyone he has terminal lung cancer, it just cuts to him trying to light another cigarette. "Well, there's no point in quittin' now.")
And finally, I love the fact that the writers remember everything, including that they didn't actually get rid of Marie Antoinette last episode. She's still there! I hope she shows up throughout the season, just giving advice in a ridiculous French accent. (It's one way to keep Nora's actress around without Nora.)
Oh and I guess we have another weapon that can kill Encores, with Genghis Khan's sword. This one won't run out of bullets, too.
Also, Caity Lotz posted Constantine's will. For those who can't read it:
I appoint Gary Green to be the sole executorof this will. I leave him my manor and everything inside except for the following:
1. The Sword of Night - give this to Papa Midnite (under the stipulation that he not be told what it is and that he open it in public).
2. The Shards of the Black Diamond - give these to Chas Chandler (tell him to guard them well).
3. The Sacred Kusa - return to Nommo (with an apology for having stole it from him in the first place).
John Constantine
All of these are references to Constantine episodes:
- The Sword of Night is the Nightmaster's sword in the comics. It showed up in the Constantine episode "Rage of Caliban."
- The Black Diamond is connected to Eclipso. It shows up in the Constantine episode "Angels and Ministers of Grace."
- The "Sacred Kusa" is a blade that shows up in the Constantine episode "A Feast of Friends." In that episode, John stole the blade from a friend named Nommo.

Those are some deep cut callbacks.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoBut no mentioning of Zed
Still, great episode. Matt Ryan is perfect for this role. Also, seems like we are having a Big Bad Ensemble this season.

Wow. New Zari is very different isn't she?
Edit: And Ava seems to have really settled in with the Legends.
