Legends of Tomorrow, the Flash/Arrow spin-off

Loving the premise, hate the name. I was hoping for "All-star Team up."

Figures they would have Arthur Davrill as Rip Hunter.

It couldn't have been a more obvious Actor Allusion if they'd used Matt Smith or David Tennant.

The latter is probably only out cause he's playing The Purple man in an upcoming MCU production (I think it was one of the Netflix shows).

As a fan of Rory Williams and of Arrow/Flash in general, I am thoroughly excited for this spinoff.

...I could see Tennant playing Per Degaton. He'd be hammy enough.

Does that mean Vandal Savage?

That's one comic booky premise. I like it. CW DCU continues to impress.

I wonder if it'll continue past the season - it seems like its plot geared towards telling a very specific plot and not necessarily being a long runner if it doesn't have to be (like Agent Carter).

Personally, "All-Star Team Up" sounds more like an episode title than series name.

It should have been called World's Finest.

I was gonna say the Brave and the Bold, but I think they already used that as an episode name.

In fact, wasn't that the title of the Arrow half of the crossover.

Yes it was the Arrow half of the crossover.

They probably could have used Worlds Finest but that is now almost exclusively related to Batman and Superman. Even though it featured other characters before they became synonymous with the title.

They should have totally called it Marvel Team-Up.

Interesting. I'm behind on The Flash and I don't watch Arrow but I'll keep an eye on this.

Honestly, it could be called "Enlarge your Penis", as long as it features Hawkgirl I would watch it.

Know there's a joke for this, but for some strange reason I can't think of one.

I would have opted for The #&*ing Justice League Yo but I suppose that was never in the cards. As for the threat I'm hoping for something truly epic like the Anti-Monitor.

Nah, I think "Immortal" calls for Savage. Plus, he is a low-CGI supervillain. It is better for TV series.

The Anti-Monitor is a threat too big for this cast. Like Darkseid, he is the kind of guy that tends to bring all the AAA-listers in.

Plus, we already know the Crisis happens (sort of) in 2024.

Not a huge fan of the name, but it's better than "All-Star Team-Up", which sounds like a sports match.

I mean, it sounds like part of the team is based on the Forgotten Heroes (Rip Hunter + fighting against an Immortal Foe) and part is based on the JLA (Atom, Hawkgirl, Black Canary, Firestorm).

I wonder if they could portray Vanishing Point in this show. That would be awesome.

So Rip Hunter seems to be the leader of the team? Interesting... When the spin-off was first announced, I assumed it was going to be the Atom given his considerable resources. But this is probably more interesting, and given the nature of the threat the presence of Captain Cold and Heatwave on the team makes a lot more sense.
