Car
Prospa let out a small snort and began driving away. "Your Highness, you could empty the royal treasury and it would still not be enough to convince me to be your driver. And Ritcher, is delusional. She cannot decide if she wants a group of perfect spies or ruthless assassins. If she knew that last test would not have been so ridiculous."
-dramatic music ensues-...Oddly enough, Archie had vanished. Or rather, paradoxically enough, he was walking after those who were getting to the city by 'normal' transport.
The hooded figure didn't even look bothered as he just kept trekking forwards, getting left behind and not even batting an eyelid.
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.Lilac then looked at Maria with a smile when she came over asking to ride with her, Dahlia, and the other man near them. This was almost gonna be just like old times.
"And I guess you have no more room in your car for anyone else now, Dahlia. So, are we ready to go out and stop that bank robbery?", Lilac said.
"Never let anyone tell you that something is impossible." - Monty Oum, 1981-2015"Sure guys." she said leading them to her car. "Roof or no roof?"
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. It's not far.
That message clicked out across everyone's Scrolls—new communication technology for now only allotted to successful Hunters such as our heroes. Included was a pixelated map and a list of directions—directions to the bank, in the small frontier town of Garde a little ways south of the base. And a map
◊ of the bank itself.
Alex eyed it cautiously then popped open his Scroll, checking for nearby Hunters. "Alright guys, I'm going to link up with you now. We should use our Scrolls to stay in contact on this op. We'll want to plan carefully before going in, I know from experience that scumbags like these'll have taken plenty of hostages."
Dahlia got into the driver's seat and took off as fast as she could to the scene.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing."So we go in, save the hostages, and stop the robbery. Sounds simple enough for Hunters like us.", Lilac said as she rode in the back seat of Dahlia's car.
"Never let anyone tell you that something is impossible." - Monty Oum, 1981-2015Earlier: Stealth Test
“Alright Feros,” he whispered to himself as he looked at the simulated bank. “You can't screw up this test. You've already failed two easy ones.”
Flashback: Agility Test
“Almost there!” Feros yelled, jumping towards the last island… and missing by a foot and falling down towards the ground.
“Damn it!”
End flashback
“Yeah, that was easily preventable,” he muttered to himself, “But I've got a kickass plan to ace this one…”
A few minutes later, Feros seemingly charged in, Rodblomst in hand. Most of the droids spotted Feros and proceeded to fire at him…
…Only for “Feros” to vanish in thin air, revealing himself to be a copy.
“The droids still react to visual and aura triggers,” Feros muttered from his vantage point in the vents as another aura copy appeared. “Now for copy two.”
He kicked open the hatch above the door. “Split.” The new copy jumped out and charged at the Knights. After a few seconds, he jumped down, opened the door and grabbed the package.
“Copy three,” he muttered, straining to create this one due to having already done two in such quick succession. “Split”
The final clone charged out, ready to distract the droids. Meanwhile, Feros aimed and fired an explosive charge at each droid that came close to the copy.
“Done,” Feros said as he walked out, a cocky grin on his face.
Stealth Test Passed.
Now: Hero time!
“There’s no room for any else in Rodblomst,” he said as he walked towards his bike. “Not unless you're willing to hold onto me as I'm driving.
Driving a bike one-handed seemed like a really stupid idea. Ada was experienced enough with stupid ideas to do such stunts peerlessly though.
Plus, she needed to check the map of the bank. "Coordination it is then." She mused, riding close to Alex's ride. "Am I seeing two entrances to the main hall?" The red-hair raised her eyebrow. "At the very least we can flank the bastards."
"Send me in first." the masked woman suddenly cut in, her voice still distorted by her disguise.
"Alisa" continued on, elaborating on her idea. "I can read minds, and I have a fairly large range. Just park me outside the building and I can find out how many bastards there are, their positioning, their plans and if any of them got laid in the recent past."
"I'd probably be too weak to do anything else if I do that, though, so it would be up to you guys to stop them."
"Any objections?"
The sleepy town of Arid Mesas was spared from Grimm by its position in the middle of a desert. Wide sight-lines made sure that no Grimm could sneak up on the town's fairly sparse watchforce. The Arid Mesas Bank sat squarely on a plot of land with a road on either side, cars parked up and down the road. A police blockade had cordoned off the block it was on, parked at intersections to give them breathing room. The bank itself was one story, with a flat roof dotted by ventilation emplacements and a skylight. Differing from the floorplans they'd received, the teller booth had been smashed in, and a massive drill
was bolted to the vault in back, glowing brightly as it churned away at the lock with both heat and friction. Across the lobby, and from there through the cubicles filling about a hundred square feet of ground, a heister sat working the chunky, loudly humming computer, scrubbing their faces from the equally chunky and abrasive cameras throughout the room.
"Back off and I don't have to hack all your guns into a rebellion!" Declared the Faunus on one street of the bank, a fashionable youth
◊, seemingly completely unarmed. Making up for it, however, was the intense light emanating from his Aura, lashing out at nearby cars, lamps, parking meters, anything technological. Where it found purchase it would briefly wrap around, grasping like a creeper vine, but nothing would come of it. The robber's Aura wasn't given the go-ahead. The cops had declined to attack him so far, but also let any operatives through that came down that street.
On the other end was an actually armed man, much older than his comrade,
◊ sharply dressed in a suit. He said nothing, simply eyeing the cops and playing with what was presumably his weapon: a long length of wire, wrapped around his fist. He wound and unwound it from fist to fist, taking in the sights. He held a cigarette in his hand, and judging from the area around him this was the latest in a half dozen or so.
Inside, another more rounded-looking guy
kept an eye on the hostages, a simple bulky pistol clutched in his hand. His Aura, like the man out front, twisted and wound out from him, but instead latched onto people. It wound into their ears and caressed them in an aggressive and invasive manner. He casually pointed it at random civilians, stating classic robber platitudes like "Nobody needs to die," and "We aren't here to hurt any of you." Reassurances.
This was the first operation of the VCDD, and Officer Johanson was worried. Weathered and aged, he had the same wear and tear a good sword got under constant loving use. He sat on the hood of his car, decked out in the same assault gear as everyone else, waiting for the chucklefucks to show themselves in case he needed to give anyone the rundown of what was going on.
Porspa, Fran and Lu
Prospa pulled the truck into an alleyway several streets over from the police position and parked. The witch pulled her hair into a pony tail and put on the surprisingly sylish mask
◊ she had looted from the base's equipment locker. "Sure thing you're highness. Just hang back and provide whatever support you want." She said before stepping out of the car and putting her wands and the rifle in place. The huntress then leaped up to a low hanging fire escape and used it to climb to the roof of the building before heading towards the bank by rooftop.
Lance Matrix had been walking for a long time.
As he wandered into the town of Arid Mesas, the futurecop was quickly drawn to the commotion by the bank. Realizing nearly-instantly (no doubt thanks to the many cybernetic implants in his brain) that there was almost certainly some form of injustice going down.
Approaching Officer Johanson, Matrix flashed his badge before muttering (in an ambiguously foreign accent) "What's going on here?"
Operation Zone
Francesca frowned upon seeing the scene, her teeth gritting together as she saw the man up front. "Wonderful..." She sighed as she held her head in her hand. The Dragon faunus reached down and pulled pulled out the mask
◊ from the bag she had looted, giving it a spin in her hand. The reflective surface would do well to hide her face, but her hair would be another matter entirely. That's what the hood and jacket she had "borrowed" were for.
Her hair was contained into the the clothes she wore, the mask slipped on over her face, while a pair of black gloves were placed on over her fingers. Once she was finished, not a centimeter of white scales or skin could be seen as she stepped out of the car. She headed straight for the Officer on standby, her features well hidden as she addressed him. "Officer Johanson, correct? We are here as part of the task force, your cooperation would be most welcome." She addressed him, her voice modified by the mask as she looked at him. Her masked visage turned to the...man, who looked like something out of a sci-fi novel. "And I take it you are our latest recruit?" She asked.
"I am nature's weapon. You are unfit to carry on your species, and I shall ensure that you do not do so!" - Charles Darwin, XCOM Sniper"Bank robbers," Johanson pointed to the new guy, then shifted to Francesca. "and yes. He's a loon, but he'll get the fucking job done. I seen him in action." He thumbed over his shoulder. "The man on our street is a hacker. I think. Unarmed, but that don't matter. He hacked the cars to attack us earlier. The man on the other side's your normal thug, just with the training and gear of a Huntsman. Wires, nasty piece of work. Cut up Sergeant Mackie pretty badly. Seems he's got a Semblance running too, some kinda crazy tremor shit. Stay off the ground. Nice guy, though. Very polite, never maimed nobody, let us recover folks once he cut 'em up and wrecked their guns. It's gonna cost a damn fortune to get more, but to be honest he's one of the better perps I've gone against."
Johanson pointed inside the building. "They got someone working hostages and another working the computer. They haven't done anything since they broke in, though, and we can't see through the cams without getting a direct line to them on the roof—all the external circuits are cut. Pretty sure they're cutting the vault open, though, then they'll leave." He grimaced. "But apparently we just gotta hold the line, and ain't none of the rest of my men gotta die today, that right, ma'am?"
Dahlia sped to the scene as fast as she could. When she arrived at the scene she was confronted with images of ordinary people causing great chaos. "Allright then. What's our plan of action?" the faunus asked.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.

"Hey, Lilac, wait up!" In a red blur Maria appeared next to Dahlia and Lilac, giving the Faunus a little wave. "Hey, I'm Maria."
