Alba walked toward the address that Aisha had given out for an invitation to dinner. She had figured that making sure there was a closer alliance with the Master of Shielder would be of great benefit to her. And- after all, she did not want to portray her aloofness as sign of a betrayal- that would lead to burdens, and inefficiencies.

She made sure that Lancer was with her, regardless. Even if they are supposedly a team, it helps to be prepared. "Lancer. I leave it in your hands whether we approach with you materialized."

Hassei Villa
Soon enough, the bounded field, familiars, or anyone with eyes, would detect a silver Dodge Grand Caravan driving up to the estate. The familiar mug of one Giorgio Cassandra was behind the wheel, and with some maneuvering, he managed to park in whatever space was indicated by a servant.

In the back, amongst several packages of chicken, a box of twelve unlabeled shakers of herbs and spices, and some large plastic jugs of avocado oil, sat a large deep fat fryer. It was all able to comfortably be held in the back due to the folded-down third row providing 83.3 cubic feet of storage space, while still having enough room to carry four passengers comfortably.

In his hand as he stepped out, he held a six-pack of Toblerone. The cardboard hexagonal prism was wrapped in a bright red ribbon with a bow - a gift for the lady of the house.

Understood. With that simple word the air beside Alba thickened. The night appeared to tear open as Lancelot materialized. However her clothing was more formal for the occasion. With a soft click of her teeth she moved her head from side to side before continuing. "Care. I sense a bounded field," she remarked under her breath.

I'm heading over to that homunculus' apparent address at the moment. I don't have any elaborate plans other than eating dinner and trying to learn more about these allies of ours, Sam responded to his Servant's question as he zoomed down the road on a motorbike, the cape he'd decided to wear for the occasion billowing out behind him. Are you still intending to scout? You could come join us if you wanted, you know! It's not like most enemies are likely to be moving about before the War officially starts.

Lancer would probably notice the approach of his motorcycle before her Master, though it was unusually quiet for something that should have been running on a combustion engine. "Oh my!" he exclaimed, "Look who it is! I was beginning to think nobody but me was going to even take up our host's gracious invitation!" Sam had, of course, noticed the conspicuous minivan pass him earlier, but chose to ignore it entirely after surmising who was inside.

"Why are you two standing just outside the Bounded Field anyway? Don't tell me you're afraid?" The redhead raised an eyebrow at his fellow Master. "Or no, you were just waiting for a pickup or something, right? Well, I don't have a sidecar, but there's enough room back here for you to ride along if you want." He shimmied up slightly and adjusted his cape, indicating the rest of the seat behind him. There was indeed enough room for someone of Alba's size.

The Hassei Villa

The Bounded Field seemed well made and powerful, though not an outright threat... at least not for Masters of the Violet Team. As soon as they touched the boundary, they may feel the tell tale impression of being watched, as the bounded field reported their presence to Aisha... but as soon as their identity was verified, all pressure would be lifted from them, allowing them easy entrance.

Archer of Violet - On top of the Trinita dei Monti

"Hmmm? It was my impression that we already had started the War. I believe I'll do greater good out here scouting and keeping guard than eating at a party... though if you require me for plotting or a plan by the other Masters, just call on me... As a fast runner, I recon I can get there fast enough. I imagine the location should be secure from attack... but if not, call me with a Command Spell"

Alba looked at her fellow Master, she could try to hide disdain. And she did try to hide it, just a little under the radar. She sighed, acknowledging Lancer's comment on the bounded fields.

"I was just surveying it, before entering... I was going to walk there."

She then looked at the back of the motorcycle for a moment.

"But, I suppose... A lift is easier. Lancer- you should be able to keep up, right?"

Apollo was woefully overdressed for the occasion. No, he was not decked out in platinum rings and coats of ermine, he did not carry a diamond-tipped cane, nor did he wear a top hat and monocle. No, just a pair of light, thin blankets muffling the sight and smell of his worn and ragged clothes. He did shave though. By Apollo's standards, he did overdress.

"Well, Assassin..." Apollo shrugged. "We were too busy sniping at each other to do anything, so someone had to take the first step. I'm sorry, but it seemed it had to be me. They were too scared. Besides, it certainly got you Archer's attention, didn't it?" He winked. "Now manners, we're their guests, after all."

Apollo walked past Sam astride his bike, strode through the Bounded Field, either ignorant or unmindful of its presence, and stopped. He turned back at the two Masters, Sam and Alba, and loosed a low whistle. "Nice bike, friend. Race you there?"

Lancelot slowed down before coming to a stop as she heard the bike pull up alongside her. Before she could put herself between Alba and the rider she found herself cut off by the conversation between the ride and her Master. "I usually use a mount when traveling quickly but I should be able to keep up in theory." She paused before continuing. "I would advise against riding with someone you've barely talked to." She turned towards Sam before speaking to the both of them. "Though if you insist I shall leave you in his care. Do not let my trust in you be for naught."

At the sound of Apollo's footsteps the Lancer class Servant turned t watch him ass through the Bounded Field. She quirked an eyebrow at his question. "You don't posses a ride. How do you intend to race anyone?"

Whenever they approached the villa proper they would seem that it was an spacious, Mediterranean style manse, with some marble and red bricks all around. Somewhat open and fresh though inner spaces could be closed up nicely. Getting through the main entrance, they would be greeted by a collection of servants who would guide them down a couple hallways... until they arrived at the place to meet up with Aisha, a big studio/sitting room where the lady of the mansion was currently sitting "Greetings... I'm glad you could make it and trusted me enough to come into my dwelling"

Very well, Archer, Sam agreed silently. Already feeling pretty great about Alba accepting the offer, he also flashed the newcomer Master a wide grin and shot him a quick "Thanks!" just before Lancer spoke up.

"Come on, now, Lancer!" he chided, "Do you seriously think I'm going to do anything that might endanger a teammate this early? Still, if you distrust me so much, just keep pace with us with your A+++ Agility or whatever it is. I'm pretty sure the fastest Class should have no trouble doing so, mount or no. And I wouldn't sell our friend here short, either! Maybe he has a trick or two up his sleeve, yeah?"

"Do you have any tricks up your sleeve?" he added in a stage whisper.

"Oh! Thanks, but we're just here because our Master asked us to be on hand in case you needed any extra help around here," Superbia explained, stepping across the room's threshold to make way for her sextet of sisters, all seven wearing identical maid uniforms. "I somehow doubt that you have many occasions to host so many people at once, no?"

Shielder of Violet

At the moment, Shielder was standing next to her master, facing the ones who entered. She was dressed in some rather formal looking clothing (formal, yet colorful. She preferred to be dressed in colorful clothes because they reminded her of home). Her macuahuitl was not present on her form, but her shield certainly was. She usually kept it on her out of habit.

There are lights in the distance, illuminating the horizon and blocking the stars from shining down. The sounds of the city toiled away in the background as the Grail War drew another night closer. It had already begun, the summonings complete, but what did that mean? Fighting could start anytime. Lives could be lost. But that didn't deter a man named Elliot Preston. He walked through the darkness with hands on the back of his head. He was carefree, not wondering if he'd die or if he would have to fight that night. The only thing on his mind was what he was doing to do when he got home. "What do you think, Rider?"

"Of what?" the disembodied voice spoke back.

"Of Italy, of Rome. It's really pretty, isn't it?"

"It'd be better as ashes on the ground."

"Isn't that sort of insensitive?"

"You asked me what I thought."

"... Remind me to rephrase the question next time," Elliot sighed.

"Noted. But—" a hand went-up. The Servant's form materialized. A woman with red-hair wearing armor. She had a sword in hand that seemed to suggest the Saber Class. "We have company, Master."

"What...?" he had been caught off guard. He was prepared to fight in the material sense. He had his weapons. He had what he needed to fight. Was he up to it NOW, all of a sudden? Another quest.

"We see you, Enemy Servant!" she pointed her sword straight up at Archer. "Come down and let us have a little chat."

The words from Elliot's Servant were firm and had a strange sort of 'aura' to them. A sort of compelling attractiveness. It wasn't magical in nature, but it was from the woman herself. She smiled, assured of herself and her next actions. Whatever Archer did, it seemed like this woman was already an ironwall.

Archer of Violet - On top of the Trinita dei Monti

Archer, with her incredibly keen senses had noticed the pair before they called out to her... indeed a while before. She smiled to herself, in her Spirit Mode, as she transmitted back to Samuel with a certain degree of cockiness "Well Master... now would be a good time to look through my eyes. It seems like my scouting around has paid off before your party going. I see an unknown Master and Servant pair... It would seem to be the Master of Rider. It is what the young man called their Servant... Brown hair, average height, pale complexion, young, confident and carefree. Probably green. Servant doesn't care for this city... And there they are... young woman, red hair, armored, big sword. Links to Saber class by looks, though she was called Rider earlier.... Confident, self assured... clear speaking" reports Atalanta through the mind link, making but nary a sound as she remains in Spirit form.

Then came the words of the Servant, bidding her to come down and talk... washing over Archer, relaxing her posture of her immaterial body but a bit. She was not inclined to fight at the moment... however, the posture and forceful expression of the enemy Servant reminded her all too keenly of the danger. She had a sword pointed at her after all. If it wasn't for that, she would have likely not minded jumping down from her high perch.

Archer did manifest though, sitting down on the roof of the Church... no bow or quiver, though. She merely looked at her nails as she spoke "No need, I can hear you plenty well from up here" says Archer "They say the early bird gets the worm... and in my case, it seems to be true. Already an encounter on this War... one who wishes to talk"

Archer smiled, her eyes set on the pair... her ears and nose still open to the entire world around her.

The enemy Servant may sense a certain pressure... but only the moment when they thought of taking action, when they tensed their muscles or magic circuits in order to take an action while this Servant was perched in wait

"Hey," Elliot got between Rider and the materialized Archer on the roof. "I'm not ready for this yet. Don't go picking fights like that," Rider's Master protested but that was only met with a hand on the shoulder and a tug back. "Ah, what the— RIDER!"

"This is a matter between Servants. Butt out, Master," her voice dripped with a bit of sarcasm. Of course, this seemed to be her way of protecting the boy from harm. She knew he was capable of fighting, full well — but the guilt she'd have if he died in just the first conflict of the war? What bad luck. Rider placed both hands on the sword, but still had no intent of attacking. Not yet. "I plan on charging," she smiled while lowing her stance. "I advise you ready yourself," prana burst off her as she built up energy. Magic energy surged and she felt the 'pressure' as she had the intent to attack. Both of these were warning 'shots' so Archer could prepare for the coming storm. Rider put one foot on the ground then completely vanished into thin air. Where was she now? Right there in front of Archer. Face to face as she brought the blade down.

Archer of Violet - On top of the Trinita dei Monti

Atalanta's eyes opened up wide and as she charged her energy she felt her muscles tense up... in anticipation. Of the contest. Of the retaliation. From sitting down she moved, crouching right on the railing, her whole body like a spring, ready to burst out.

And then... there it was. The attack. Fast... so fast! The enemy Servant moved at incredible speed with her burst of prana... however, Atalanta's reflexes were top of the line... and her eyes a step beyond that. She could follow the movement.

As Rider rose in the air, blade held in both hands to chop overhand at her... An incredible offensive. A mighty first attack... overwhelming and fast. She didn't know how much strength there was behind that slice... how much power in that blade. However... Atalanta didn't mean to find out. Atalanta liked fights... but in not setting out the rules of it, for Archer this encounter remained the Game called the Holy Grail War. And in this game, taking the Master is a valid, and obvious strategy.

Archer's feet grabbed on tightly onto the railing... her strength and concentration, her speed heightened by countering the move of the other Servant. However she didn't face her head on... instead she grinned as she pushed herself down. Kicking off the railing and wall, Atalanta shot herself like an arrow beneath the rising Servant and her overhead blow... and getting past her... she trusted in her agility and her great skill in running to move... towards Elliot. Trusting in Rider's sheer impulse, from charging her prana to shoot herself at such speeds up and towards where Atalanta was to impede her from easily turning back to catch her.

If Rider got there in the blink of an eye Atalanta planned on matching that record at least... her features getting more bestial in the split seconds of her run... as she drew on the power of the Calydonian Boar to fuel her curse... to make her more monstrous as her gentle hands grew into claws.

Getting to the Master, she never stopped her impulse... never stopped herself from her breakneck run as she thrust her claw towards him... aiming to run him through somewhere on the mid torso before she hit him with her shoulder, letting her speed and the strike sending him flying away at best... It'd be like being hit by a speeding truck.

Walkway and balcony near Trinita dei Monti — Battlefield; Archer Vs. Rider

Elliot

Archer was gunning for him. She was going to impale with claws, throw him aside, kill him. Without returning home to see his friends, to his own life outside of this chaotic mage war. Time seemed to slow down. Rider leaped up, slashed, Archer dashed down. At that moment he started building up magic instinctively. His own Magic Circuits were poor, his knowledge on Magecraft was average at best. What he did have was his own intuition and a powerful Magic Crest made specifically for a situation like this.

He threw it into overdrive. His body blasted with energy and red 'circuits' appeared all over his body.

"BANZAIIIIII!" he screamed. It was to pump himself up and charge straight into a death trap.

At this time, Archer closed in with the claws.

"AH—!" he threw his body back. The claws nearly grazed him. The next attack came. Another deep breath.

He had to localize the pain. If that shoulder hit him in the stomach, it would be over.

He threw his weight into his shoulder. The 'full body reinforcement' turned into just solidifying his own shoulder. He matched Atalanta's second attack the best he could, practically equalizing it out. However the stress this did on the circuits, on the Crest, and on the mind were a little too much. He could hear something slowly cracking. "G Ggga—!" Atalanta won out. Of course, he was a human, a subpar Magus. How could someone like that hope to win against a Servant? He didn't fly as far away as Atalanta intended, he rolled on the ground, stopping at the railing of the balcony that lead into the abandoned market distract on the ground below.

Even if he neutralized the blow, he was bleeding. Blood dripped down his mouth as he steadied himself. "Why's... this always happen to me?"

Rider

She turned around to see that Elliot was the target. Well, that was a bad call on her part. Maybe she should have made the rules more clear? ... Never mind, the kid could handle a blow or two from a Servant. He's like a cockroach. While Elliot neutralized the blow, Rider landed, turned, and threw herself into another powerful jump. She made sure to not overshoot it this time, and angled herself so that if Atalanta jumped away - she would be able to cut her off the moment she retreated. The blade went into a circular cut, hoping to slash her.

"Let's make it clear this time. I'm your opponent."

Archer of Violet - Near Trinita dei Monti

The boy certainly surprised Archer... he moved fast enough to dodge her initial attack... and enduring long enough to survive her first charge. That certainly changed things... and gave her valuable information.

However... her feline ears perked up as she heard that approach of her foe at the back. Once again, taking the initiative... forced by her attack on her Master. Her speed was once again impressing... and to say the truth, thrilling for Atalanta as she turned her body to face the incoming attack... her claws primed and ready by the strength of the Boar Skin... fur the color of her flowing hair grew on her arms up to her elbow, thick and strong... half of her arms becoming natural weapons. Seeing the incoming sword strike, Archer crossed her arms, intending to withstand the incoming attack... though she didn't put a lot of strength on her footing. She'd let the attack send her flying away if there was enough force behind it... roll with it.

She looked at Lancer with a deadpan expression. I have to keep up good appearances, Lancer. Even if I am unsure of this 'team', we still have to play off like friends. If he does try anything- I've got you, and a few tricks up my sleeve. It will be fine- besides, he seems... naive enough to be taking this team completely seriously at the first hurdle.

She didn't seem to want to comment on the other Servant either. But it was clear she was intending to get to the villa sooner rather than later.

She didn't even change her outfit much, as she already dressed smart on most occasions. She saw no purpose in going extravagant for a simple dinner invitation.

Then the Servant smiles, noticing a bit of blood on her cheek... not her own, but rather what came from the young man's mouth after she crashed into him. With a grin she uses her thumb to clean that blood... and then licks her thumb clean "Hmm... First blood~"

"So now what will it truly be? Want to talk or want to fight with your Master being that hurt?"

Shielder of Violet, the Villa

To-ble-rone.

Apparently, this was some kind of strange use of the fruit of Kon. Chocolate. With the information given to her by the Grail she recognized it as a mutation of the word Xocolatl, bitter water, used by her neighboring peoples, the Aztecs.

Was this not the fruit of the gods? Why would such a lowly man come to possess it? Why wasn't it a drink instead of a strange triangular brick?

Shielder took these thoughts into consideration as she took a piece of the gift, then popped it into her mouth.

Immediately, there was a surprising sweetness. She had expected something bitter or spicy, but this was very much neither of these things. As she continued eating, she tasted sweet honey, and some crunchy thing she could not place. Perhaps it was crickets.

She immediately took another piece.

After she used her wish to revive her country, she would most certainly greatly increase the cacao taxes.

"Master.. we must find out where that man acquires these delicacies... For tactical reasons."
