Rip him in half! Tear off his head! Throw his sorry carcass into the sun!
Terry ignored the Void's words, he really only had time to rebuke one misanthropic, paranoid bastard at a time. He dismissed the ball of light when it was getting too intense and bright, not backing down no matter what Cornelius said.
In his mind, terry essentially dismissed each and every point Cornelius tried to make, and then rebuked him all at once as soon as the shouting teenager was done, “I'm sorry you have such little faith in those around you, but try to remember not all of us try to play things according to some anime and manga characters' playbooks. Not all of us believe the world is governed by nihilism and cynicism.”
Terry breathed, looking Cornelius over again, “You talk about enemies ripping us apart, wiping people's minds, people being ruined by their fellows. You have no idea how people work outside of your fantasy worlds, do you? In that respect, I pity you. I pity your antisocial, malignant self, sputtering and screaming at windmills.”
He didn't start a fight, and he looked over at Alex, nodding briefly and shrugging his shoulders – whatever Cornelius was gonna scream about next, he really didn't care.
And with that, Terry walked off and rejoined Ciro and the others, breathing and smiling, “So...shall we see what kind of things await us?”
He picked up one of the cellphones, and looked at the picture on it. It...actually reminded him a lot of himself. Becoming visibly bemused and curious, Terry examined the figure, clad in a bright gold and blue costume, a long cape on his back, strong features belying inner turmoil, long blond hair on his head.
He walked back over to the others and said, “Huh...he looks...a lot like me. Says here he's called The Sentry. Anyone got a clue about this?”

I was just practising. It...It keeps coming out like this when I try to talk. I can do the other stuff just fine but I just..ugh.
Yeah, I’m having trouble finding the off switch to all these thoughts… Zia admitted to Blake, not paying as much attention to her friends as she focused on his mind. That being said she was wasn’t as happy as she might have otherwise been towards Terry’s light manipulating abilities, “Uh, you sure that’s a good idea here?” She asked with a nervous expression but was cut off by the others. She tried to located the owner of the telepathic connection and felt a smirk brewing as she saw his facial expression, That look is a tad more constipated than ‘incredible psychic powers’, you know. Zia’s voice rang in his head with a clearly bemused tone. She waited for him to look up and then waved cheekily in his direction, You might want to be careful with those green thingys – Shooter isn’t blind. She added on a more concerned track.
Everyone was comparing powers, posing theories and generally wrought with racing thoughts. The static was getting louder, closer and more piercing causing Zia to subtly clutch her head. She was having trouble separating the frequencies again, figuring out who was who and, more importantly, finding her own thoughts. She was sure there were more voices than people which was odd to say the least. Many of these additional minds were alien in their thinking, Terry’s being especially foreboding but even the more ‘innocent’ tones (such as that in the latest entry’s skull) were disconcerting. Then Luna changed and everyone started shouting. Zia was frozen in deep panic and from the surge of anger rushing into her brain. Oh god, get out. Stop shouting. Just stopstopstop…. Her own concerns began to escape her mind and flitter through that of those in the room involuntarily. The punk-girl rose, hands to her forehead and reflexively reached out to the minds of those around her. She wanted Shooter to forget anything he had seen, for everyone to stop, sit down and put their powers away. Suddenly Zia saw the structures of their brains, their souls in her hands and with that the ability to pause this. Panic rising she acted without thinking.
“STOP!” Her voice rang out as she discovered her more advanced powers. If she applied her powers correctly Principal Shooter would forget the last few minutes, since Luna transformed, and everyone would find themselves paralysed to the spot but aware. However, it was more than likely this would not be the case. The students may now have the fortitude to withstand any mental assault but Shooter may not.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Hearing everything the Light Boy said, Cornelius simply gave him a look saying 'What the fuck I don't even know you' as he spoke. Sighing, Cornelius looks at the one that got in-between him and Light Boy. "Sorry, just... such blatant disregard, it honestly couldn't of done them any favors. Though I'm legitimately confused by 'Light Boy', don't even know him and yet he accuses my words as being 'anime'. Anyways..."
Straightening himself out, Cornelius speaks up audibly calmer "I'm Cornelius Hawking, associated with the Writing and Drama clubs. My outburst was of legitimate concern for their safety, and while the world may not be as bad as it is believed... The people are still clearly capable of evil. I'm also quite afraid of the outcome of various teenagers having superpowers, be it ones that indulge their dark desires or muggles who'll attack us out of envy. Light Boy there almost seemed like he was going to murder me, so at the very least I advise against trusting him. So again-"
Suddenly shouting in pain as he clutches his head, Cornelius falls to his knees and grunts through the pain. Casting a hateful glare around the room, Cornelius shouted in his mind "Do not do that again!" His eyes easing up, Cornelius calls out politely once more. "Once again, I am sorry for the outburst, it was more a reaction than intentional. Having such things here, it is quite different than reading about."
Getting back to his legs, Cornelius thought loudly once more. "Telepath, may we have a word? I would like to clear up any misunderstandings you've gained from that outburst of mine."
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Alex's irritation simmered down slightly and his posture shifted to a less hostile stance, assured that the two boys weren't about to duke it out indoors. "Alex Stone...and that's their issue." He spoke quietly in a neutral tone. "Don't... make it your own as well by forcing them to change."
Alex then nodded back to Terry, and glanced at Ciro, before returning to his own seat. A wave of energy from Zia made him briefly freeze and stare at her, but he quickly shook it off and continued walking
Muu...I thought there would be some action... the voice pouted(?)
I don't want to get on someone's shit list in day one. Alex sighed. The normal gangs and bullies are bad enough...
Yeah, but I haven't eaten today. And resisting that mental wave made me hungry...
I'll...uh, grab something after class, kay? The teen offered, which seemed to seemed to placate the voice.
I want Chocolate!
Alex sent his agreement, and shifted his focus back to his surroundings.

Jeez. Terry and Alex had been the bigger men and returned to their seats, thank goodness, though the problem hadn't dissipated completely. Cornelius wasn't shouting now, at least, but his 'apology' still had an edge to it.
"Let's not plant any seeds of discord here, alright?" Ciro said. "Terry wasn't going to- god- to murder anyone. Cherry-picking which of us shouldn't be trusted on so little evidence is just gonna make us paranoid for no reason. We don't need that on top of-"
He was cut off as his headache suddenly flared, too sudden and too intensely to be natural. Wincing in pain, trying not to double over, he thought he heard Zia's voice amongst the chaos in his mind. What is she- what are you-
But then it was gone, and the pain subsided. He could focus on his surroundings again. Immediately he forgot about his own words, hurrying over to the now standing Zia. "Zia? Hey, Zia, what's wrong?"

they/them || "Forgive me, regent of queer amphibians" - Lt.BGobTerry was left paralyzed where he stood - though he'd backed down it sounded like Cornelius was still rattling off reasons this day would follow the rules of Death Note or whatever.
He's every bit as disgusting and malevolent as the humanity he speaks against. He wants to turn them against you. Let me handle him.
Terry shook his head through a stunning headache, and managed to calm himself.
Before long though he ended up breaking through the hold on his movements, well, it wasn't entirely him - he believed for a moment he'd done it with his own mental capabilities, but there was also evidence the thing in his mind intervened - as if it wanted to show its abilities off a little.
Terry turned and looked over at the Principal and sighed, "Sorry for the state we're all in, Principal. Things've...been rough."
Blake received Zia's thoughts and returned to a regular stance. He was kinda embarrassed by his inability to control this but it was nice to know that the more powerful telepath had concerns of her own. He gave Zia an acknowledging nod as she looked over.
Well, whatever works. I guess we'll just have to work on all this bullshit.
Blake's attention was drawn away as Luna transformed and the others started fighting. Evidently some people were handling the situation worse and things escalated quickly until some sort of psychic attack spread through the room. Blake's ability protected him somewhat but he still felt a sharp pain in his head which spread quickly through his muscles. It seemed obvious who had caused this, so Blake transmitted his thoughts to Zia again.
I guess that was you? Can't argue with results but could you maybe pick targets next time?

Luna —Pissed off
Luna was actually enjoying herself with her group, .Until Cornelius walk to her to scream.
"You think I'm someone that give a shit what others think of me?," she replied when Cornelius began to ramble about being persecuted. "Newsflash, people already hate me. When I walk in the streets, the way people look at me..."—she paused for a few seconds and frowned at him. "You're no different than them. You never cared about any of us before we got this powers."
"This is who I am and if someone doesn't like it, they can go to hell for all I care," she closed her fists.
Then when Cornelius began to call the director, this made her even more angry. She was about to push Cornelius to the ground, But then Terry defended her and Ciro tried to calm everyone and Alex also helped to end a fight.
Maybe it was Terry's powers or maybe he just needed someone to protect, but in her mind she was thankful that he did. Still she had trouble expressing herself, but she was grateful for the help.
"...thanks ," she told Terry, while she played with her hair.
As much as she hated it, Alex and Ciro had a point as this wasn't the best time to start a fight, they needed to stick together and get answers. Luna returned to her group , and stood silent, while crossing her arms, waiting for the principal to speak to them.
Then before Zia calmed everyone with her physic powers. While her powers gave her some, slight, mental protection, she still went to sit and calm down.

Forgiveness is beyond justice, faith is superior than hope, redemption is better than perfection and love is greater than them all.Tim had balled up the wrappers and tossed them into the nearby wastebin. "You tell me. Most of my good stuff, we bought on your say-so." He gave a comforting smile. "Even on your worst days, you'll always look good."
He stood, dusting himself off. "So we take the bus or our bikes?"
A little after Amy had arrived, Tim was in his corner. He gave her a faint wave and tried not to think too hard about what the green fire did to some of the people in the room.
Or what it did to him.
Come to think of it, what did it do to me?

Anger. Although Anna tried to ignore the rising tension, to let the principal gain control of the classroom, she could feel the flaring tempers. Like a pit of writhing vipers feeding upon each other, growing in intensity. Like these same vipers, having engorged themselves, turned their attention upon her. Anna clutched her head in her hands, trying to block it out.
Rageragerage
“STOP!”
Anna tried to look up, to the source of the shout - key word being tried. Her body was frozen, incapable of moving. She tried to struggle, fear flowing through her. She couldn't even do that either. Her body was completely robbed of will. But a different sensation crept upon her.
How dared they? To render her helpless? To take command of her body? What right had they? Her terror slowly shrank away, to be replaced by rage.
Rage!
"Get off!" Anna snarled, unconscious of the receding tempers. Rage surged through her, wiping away Zia's mental block... and something else. Blood. Thoughts. Creation. Yes. That was how it worked. She merely had to let go, and...
Crimson tigers leaped from the burning red ring, spitting hellfire. They paced the study room warily, growling purrs rumbling. "Which of you did that?" Anna hissed.

Walking back to his seat and sitting down, Cornelius sighs before propping his head up with one hand. Eyes down at his phone, he closes them and begins thinking. "Telepath, if you're even bothering to read my mind, then allow me to explain myself. Humanity panics when someone has a dangerous new weapon that they know the function of. While I doubt most of us here would surpass a nuclear weapon's destructive potential, we would be far more efficient weapons. You, clearly, would be feared for your ability to easily subdue individuals and your ability to effortlessly steal secrets. However, my point is-"
Suddenly seeing crimson tigers prowling the classroom interrupted that thought, and Cornelius dumbly stared at one... Before hitting his head onto his desk and letting out an stretched out annoyed "Why?" Picking his head up and looking over the room once more, Cornelius calls out annoyed & exhausted "Fuck it, the lot of you want to just show off your superpowers to everyone? Fine, because a school is the most secure place to do so. Honestly, what happens from here on is your fault."
Standing up from his seat and looking at Shooter, Cornelius speaks with that same tone "Mister Shooter, sir, can we please just get this over with? This honestly won't end well if you keep us here much longer."
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Study Room
"Oh come on...this shit again? And from Anna, no less?" Alex muttered, warily eyeing the tiger constructs whenever they neared him. The fact that they could breathe hellfire already set him and his companion on edge.
Ah! Fire-breathing cats! Make it go away! The voice shuddered, and Alex's clothes seemed to ripple uneasily as another rage construct passed him. The teen just groaned, leaning back in his seat. Great...now he had to add "potential nudity" to his list of worries.
edited 5th May '15 10:46:15 AM by svenorzokarkoff
Immediately, one such construct, with a rasping snarl, pounced onto Cornelius's desk, menacing him. His self-righteous tone did not sit well with Anna at all. That he was the first to speak up did not help his case at all. "You, Cornelius. Was it you that tried to hold me?" Anna purred. Self control did not figure into this at all.

David was grateful the situation had cooled off. He'd never liked fighting at all. Not since Andy Wilkes had kicked his ass in 4th grade over a baseball card.
Suddenly, David heard Zia's voice inside his head. "STOP!" He immediately felt a horrible headache and winced in pain. To his surprise, David found himself unable to move. His mind however, was a whole different issue.

Jessica Hawkins dragged on a cigarette from beneath the big black umbrella being held by the burly bald man behind him. "Carl, a little to the left." She whispered, as the man did as was asked, the shade protecting her from the rain- her, and her luscious purple body, wearing the finest red suit anyone had ever seen, which was quite a contrast considering she was sitting on a lonely chair atop a mountain of trash.
Because in any other day, the Purple Woman would not be in this dump. She'd be in Chicago, getting her kicks off by stepping into a night club, taking over the microphone and putting approximately two thousand people under her submission. Her powers had grown... exponentially. It wasn't long ago that she'd have trouble keeping a hundred people under her control. Now? She was very sure she could control a hundred thousand people, and that number... that number is still growing. That's how the Purple Woman gets her kicks. Those empowered in the Incident got a little side effect... as time passed by, it felt good to use their powers. Some told her that it felt like having the greatest candy in the world.
For Jessica, it felt like an orgasm. Like several orgasms. That was how she had become the largest sex trafficker in that chunk of the USA. Because the orgasm she got from using her power... it felt nothing like what normal sex could provide. If she didn't use her power, Jessica would surely go mad. Like someone, hungering for something far away from his or her reach. A hole in his or her stomach, clawing at her very soul... she didn't like thinking about that. So she used her powers. She enchanted young women and men into being completely obedient. They'd abandon great lives with amazing futures in front of them to go serve as prostitutes after one whisper. That feeling of control... oh, just thinking about it made Jessica bite her lower lip.
But her powers stopped growing, and she needed to fix that soon. She had plans... the Purple Woman had plans. To grow her empire. For now, she'd content herself with a criminal empire... but Jessica wanted to control an entire city. She wanted to turn her old hometown of Hightown into her very own petri dish. Her mind raced with thoughts of how good it would feel to control every person in every block of a city. Oh, calm down, Jessica. You're getting ahead of yourself. You can enhance your powers to eventually control everyone in the world. But for now, you need him...
"That one." Jessica whispered, and one of the bodyguards surrounding her calmly walked down the trash dump, towards a hastily erected workout camp for men and women of lower income, a place where those without lofty memberships to big gyms could still make sure they were more than just meat and bones. It had been erected by a kindly old billionaire who wanted to help people... really help people... after the disasters unleashed by— no use thinking about that. All that mattered was that the old billionaire built a lot of facilities for people in horrible living conditions. And now those facilities were hers.
Jessica Hawkins- no, the Purple Woman smiled as she watched one of the bodyguards drag a particularly toned young Latino man to her. She watched as he fought all the way up, before being forced on his knees in front of Jessica. "Hush" was the word that came out of her lips, and the man's eyes locked onto hers. There it was. Jessica grinned. "I need you to do a favor for me," She asked, leaning down to put some emphasis on her 'property', feigning innocence. "I will reward you..."
"Para usted, voy a hacer todo, mi ángel." The man muttered, lost in the Purple Woman's eyes.
"Good. I'm going to take you to my home... you're going to be fed, well-dressed... you're going to live a wonderful live." Jessica continued. "And then, one day... you will suicide bomb the Wall Street Stock Exchange. Will you do that for me?"
"Lucharé Dios mismo para usted, mi ángel."
Jessica let out a soft moan. "Oh, that... that I don't doubt. But I do need you to do something else right now. I will give you a very big reward for this." Her eyes nodded at the workout camp. "Would you be a dearie and kill everyone in that camp for me? I can't have any witnesses, now, can I?"
Principal Shooter didn't pay much attention to the kids as they talked amongst themselves. Like he had told his fellow teachers at the beginning of the semester, if they need help, most of the times they'll come to the teachers asking for help. Only interfere when you feel like it's a matter of life or death. Yeah... Shooter considered himself a great person when it came to how he dealt with his students- after all, they were his number one priority in the job. Well, actually, that was the budget, as Superintendent Perez made it clear over and over after the 'four televisions in the cafeteria' incident.
So he was calmly twirling a spoon on his coffee cup, waiting until the last one of the students came in (Victor Ferenz, if his memory was right, and his memory was always... mostly... almost... right) to stand up and move over to close the door. Of course, that was right before suddenly lightning hit the room, blowing out all the fuses, submerging the room in darkness- apart from some lights coming in through the windows- and forcing Shooter to yell as he realized the fact that there was an older girl standing up in the back of the room.
"OH JESUS CHRIST!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, dropping his coffee mug and stumbling back until he hit the chalkboard, erasing part of the date he had written on there. "OH GOD OH GOD IF YOU'RE GOING TO STEAL FROM ME PLEASE DO IT FAST I HAVE A WIFE AND KIDS AND—" His yell barely drowned out Cornelius' own yell, and the man, sweating profusely, could only raise his eyebrows in utter confusion and let out half-formed yells and gasps of surprise at what was going on. "SUPERPOWERS? Kid, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!" He said- well, again, yelled. "Erase my mind? Erase my mind— nononononono STOP DON'T DO IT DON'T—" Suddenly, it was like Shooter was a robot that had been turned off, as he shook a little and then fell flat on the floor, completely limp.
"What... what did you just do?" Jessica Hawkins spoke up, as the other two students removed their winter clothes, revealing that one of the girls sported almost see-through ice skin, and the other wasn't wearing several winter coats... instead, her frame had bulkied up considerably, her skin having been replaced with scales, and her jaw having been deformed to allow for bigger teeth, similar to a crocodile's.
"EVERYBODY STOP!" The boy from the back of the room yelled, and a red wave spread from his fingertips, covering everyone and essentially freezing them in time, although they remained conscious and well capable of seeing what was going on. "Okay, I... I didn't know how I did that." He said, standing up on his chair. "But I think we all know we were seconds away from... f-from a superpowered fight, alright?! We can't do that. Nobody can find out what happened to us. We live in a country w-w-where if they find out we have superpowers, they'll hunt us, and they'll be afraid of us." The boy's slightly Middle Eastern complexion showed how much experience he had in that area. "We need to calm down. Can everyone do that? Please... please just calm down. Let's just calm down and i-introduce ourselves... and figure out what's happened to us." The boy gingerly touched the air in front of him, as everyone regained control of their bodies.
"Some people are missing." Jessica piped up. "At least five kids from yesterday aren't here. At the risk of sounding just like Cornelius over there, I think it's obvious we need to find those kids and make sure they don't tell anybody about what happened to them." She stood up, her hood falling back, causing her to yelp as her purple skin became obvious to those around her. " Oh s-s-shit. I didn't mean for you guys to see that. "
The phone finally replied to Cornelius. "I can only see what is on your phone. Am I on your phone? I have no body? I'm scared please don't cover camera it's my only eye. Please it's so small here. I want my mom and dad. It's so hard my head hurts. Please help me."

Frowning a bit that Shooter hadn't awoken up yet, Cornelius turns to look at Jessica- And looked slightly horrified upon seeing her purple skin. Composing himself, Cornelius speaks up "Well, if they didn't show up, it means one of four things: They're dead now due to getting shitty powers, their power has gotten them hopelessly lost or trapped, they've been abducted or they simply didn't want to come to school today. However..."
Turning to look at the boy that shot out that wave, Cornelius speaks once more. "If they already have told someone who took them seriously, then there's nothing we could do about it. Shooter isn't getting up so our telepaths would just make it even more of a mess, so we really can't manage a masquerade. Thus, we must prepare for the inevitable: Train our powers to fight off those that'll attack us. This is not a question of if, so please will nobody get idiotically idealistic and mock this? Though..."
Grabbing his phone and going to the main screen, Cornelius tries once more to send a message to the trapped student(?) consisting of "Please wait and excuse me". Holding it to his side, Cornelius glances over everyone. "If any of you feel like it, we could always make a video to openly declare ourselves. We would likely earn some favor if we expose ourselves and do so as heroes instead of letting a muggle paint us as monsters. Course, the government would still want to control us and we'll probably just cause international feuds due to us being vastly more efficient as potential weapons than a nuke. Thus..."
Now rubbing his cross necklace, Cornelius looks intensely at everyone not negatively but with purpose. "There are no good long-lasting courses of action that we could take. Getting exposed means causing a war and or horrible experimenting, while hiding forever means we'll never use our powers to help anyone. Hide long enough and we'll just get murderously paranoid about maintaining the masquerade. Therefore, if we want to maintain our safety and actually use our powers to help, there's really only one goal..."
Making his cross necklace freely float before himself, Cornelius mutters with absolute resolute and lack of malice "We supplant society, remaking its rules in the process and teach humanity not to hate or fear. Honestly, its either that or hope the world's governments are too stupid to realize we're better weapons than anything they have. Thus, do any of you agree with me, or are you going to cling to the idea society is perfect and try to make option A and B work instead?"
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass.""...Can't say I expected this." Alex said, looking surprised at the new faces. Well at least I know everyone's in the same boat here...figure of speech. "
Ohhh...okay.
"If we're going to be doing introductions, shouldn't we move Shooter elsewhere in case he wakes up?"
Seeing Jessica's discomfort, Alex shot Cornelius a frown before sighing and sending the purple-skinned girl a gesture that was probably meant to be reassuring. "Relax. Like I'm in a position to give you shit just because of your skin colour or looks. I'd be a hypocrite if I did. Besides, even Scales over there looks better than a lot of the street punks in the city." He added, jabbing a thumb in the direction of the crocodile lady.

"...Fine." Terry had taken the time while frozen up again to calm his head and try to think things through - though it was slightly difficult with how things were between all of them.
He did remember the idea Cornelius suggested, namely, from the pages of one of the comic books he and Laurie had read. It honestly sounded just like—-
"Maybe we could be like the Avengers or something? I mean, we all have superpowers, we all I think have a good head on our shoulders..." most of us. Cornelius is kinda batty and too untrusting for my liking, but it doesn't hurt to be cautious.
Terry looked down at the phone he'd picked up with the picture of the blond guy on it. He still didn't know who this was - all his Avengers knowledge came from the movie and the tie ins, though he did look slightly familiar.
"So...uh...I think the phone might be a hint about our powers. Does anyone need help recognizing the figure in the phone?" Cuz honestly...I kinda do.
Closing his eyes as if in thought with a hand against his chin, Cornelius speaks. "Indeed, though I believe we need to be something more proactive than the common comic book superhero. Thus, if we work together and use our powers, we could easily bring about the dawn of a new age. Therefore, can I count on any of you? No one can stop or harm us if we gather together, so at the very least we must be unified in whatever we ultimately do."
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Benedict had been prepared to wait and calmly read Richard III in preparation for his Literature class, when suddenly the light went out. Then everyone summarily went insane. Much like last night, now that he thought about it. Why was it that he alone could think clearly in times of distress? Well, perhaps that was one of the qualities that made him a natural leader.
That and an enormous ego.
Just shut up and watch the master at work.
Ooh, yeah, karate chop them!
Not that kind of master. And how are you going to get all these kids to work together anyway?
He rolled his eyes at the voices in his head and stood up, pounding his fist on the table to get everyone's attention. He spoke loudly and enunciated every word, his experience as President of the Student Council clearly showing.
"Can we all calm down for a moment? We don't need to make a snap decision. Let's move Principal Shooter back to his desk, those of us with... physical alterations cover up, and when he wakes up," if he wakes up Benedict added mentally, "we can convince him that he fainted and that none of us have any sort of powers. After school today, we can all meet at my house - my parents leave me alone much of the time - introduce ourselves, and sort this superpower business out. Does this sound reasonable to everyone?"

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget? As soon as they were able to move again after the red wave, Ciro hurried over to where Principal Shooter's prone body lay. He checked his pulse (present), his breathing (regular), and any signs of injuries on his head (no obvious bruising or bleeding). It'd still be best for him to get medical attention, but with the way some of the others were acting Ciro wasn't sure Shooter would be allowed out of the room.
Putting his hands on his knees, Ciro took a few deep breaths. He was relieved that red-wave boy and Benedict were trying to take control, because he might have tried to himself and the thought made him a bundle of nerves. He hadn't woken up this morning expecting to hear speeches about overtaking society. He certainly wasn't going to have a cup of Cornelius' kool-aid; he just wanted to take care of his family, not change the world.
Heck, he thought, trying to cheer himself up, I don't even really know how to use my power yet.
"Uhm..." He got back to his feet again, turning to the rest of the class. "I- I don't think we should just leave the principal like this. We don't know what just happened to him, and he might have hit his head weirdly when he fell down."
He fidgeted with his cap nervously. "Can I at least take him to the nurse's office to get him checked out? I'll say that he just fell and knocked his head, and I can cover up if he starts saying anything... y'know, weird."
they/them || "Forgive me, regent of queer amphibians" - Lt.BGobSlightly raising his right eyebrow in curious respect, Cornelius turns to look at Benedict. "Indeed, now isn't the time to decide anything. My original plan was to avoid an open reveal and discuss what to do at a safe home anyways. Though I think we'll need to get a telepath involved in convincing Shooter he fainted. That or spin a tale about how Bolt Girl was some random adult who broke in. Exactly what did you figure we'll do to convince him anyways? Then again, I somewhat like that boy's plan on taking him to the nurse."
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Alex slowly nodded. "I agree that we all should stick together, for the sake of security, if nothing else."
Alex then noticed that Luna was still in her older form, and he decided to try and get to know his fellow classmates for once. "Hi...you're the one who made that light show earlier, right?" He said a little awkwardly...making friends wasn't his strong point, since most students avoided him because of his reputation.

Well, damn, that escalated quickly. Ciro had all but fallen out of his chair as Luna apparently got struck by lightning, and things just got worse from there. Now three people were showing off dangerous amounts of power, Cornelius was only pissing them off more, and David was asking him what to do.
"Well, um..." He took a deep breath, and then another. Keep calm now. "Just, uh, get ready to duck and run if this turns violent." With that he headed towards the trio, palms out and voice deliberately kept level.
"Hey now, guys, there's no need for any name-calling, or yelling, or any violence. Especially since we don't have a full handle of our situation here." He felt like getting between the trio was a terrible safety hazard, but he did so anyway, turning to face Cornelius as he continued. Compared to the energy radiating off of Alex and Terry, he felt like a puny bug. "We don't need to be friends, but we should be civil about this. Do you really want to throw a tantrum and antagonise every single person in this room?"
