Read the Sword Oratoria manga up to the part where the anime is right now. Some general thoughts:
- There's about the same amount of focus on Lefiya as there is in the anime, but the manga balances it out by giving more screentime for Ais too. Also means there's more cute moments for the Sword Princess which is a big plus.
- The fight scenes are a damn sight better. For one, it's a lot more visceral and dynamic, with people actually getting skewered and bones getting broken. Choreography is on point too— Finn's spear technique is legit cool and I wish the anime showed that.
- On the subject of fight scenes: the Udaeus fight is better in the manga but still disappointing overall, boiling down to Time to Unlock More True Potential.
- And not just Finn, everyone has better showings when it comes to combat.
- One thing I was glad got cut was those adventurers bitching about the Loki Familia not saving them, or something like that? It was a bit too heavy-handed, would have worked better if it wasn't taking place in a pub, or if it was like a small crew instead of every single customer being up in arms.
- Little thing in reference to above
: in the manga Bell crashed into Ais's chest instead of her butt.

I want to confirm something here. Does the part about Filvis last episode (i.e. 9) appear in the manga? There're already other tropers list her as Ambiguously Gay on the character list, but I'm not the most sure.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra Nova
My main question is whether any interactions between Lefiya and Filvis animated in Episode 9 can be seen in Les Yay in the manga. Lefiya is obviously Type-S, but Filvis is supposedly older.
Not sure by what you mean by "seen in Les Yay", but yeah, that scene's the same in the manga.
I think that was supposed to be "seen as Les Yay", but that's a guess.
Judging by the comments of no-one being that deep since the days of Zeus Familia, I'm assuming Freya Familia (who has the one and only Level 8 in Orario) don't dungeon crawl as much as Loki Familia. At least not in the big, organised expeditions needed to make it that deep into the dungeon.
That being said, we don't know much about the level distribution of Freya Familia. We know Ottar is level 8 and the seventh novel mentioned she had a bunch higher level fighters (the ones who fought Phyrne) but I can't remember if they were level 5 or Level 6.
Also I've been thinking. If, as the side story has been suggesting, that Bell and Aiz are in fact long lost siblings, then Loki, Leyfia, Bete, Hestia, Lily and Haruhime are all going to throw a big party.
Ottar's Level 7, not Level 8. No one in history has ever reached Level 8, and there have only ever been 2 people that reached Level 7, including Ottar.
Freya has 3 Level 6 and 4 Level 5 adventurers.
And there's pretty much no way that Ais and Bell are related, considering what we know about Ais's past so far.

Random thought that I posted in the Wild Mass Guessing section
We're going to see all the Olympian gods show up eventually. Between flashbacks, the main story and the side story, we've seen nearly half of them already, plus Ouranos. So the rest are sure to show up sooner or later.
Seen: Hestia, Hermes, Hepheastus, Apollo, Ares, Diyonisus, Demeter, Zeus (sort of in Bell's flashbacks and Good Angel/ Bad Angel moment)
Referenced but not seen: Hera
Unseen and unmentioned (as of Volume 8 and Gaiden Anime): Artemis, Athena, Poseidon and Hades
Also, anyone got any thoughts on why the author seems to be focussing so much on the Greeks. He's clearly done some research given Ishtar and two of the lesser known members of the Tuatha de Dannan (Michah and Gobinu) showing up.

Haven't read the novels too, but I know Evilus is a cult of sorts. Their god is Thanatos, I think? Or I might be thinking of another bad guy posse.
