Can I assume that Sarah's gonna quickly tell the GANG to investigate the murder?

Also, who's where now?

Hey Grate, are we allowed to do whatever when it comes to minor NPCs (those police officers) or do we need your response for every NPC interaction? Cause I was going to bind the officers with their own cars and yank their weapons. Speaking of, how many police officers are there?

By the way, are magic New Agers able to teach their spells to others or is that solely for them only? Genetic New Ager abilities can be spread, and Technological New Agers could be reverse-engineered & replicated. I would find it odd if Magic New Agers couldn't teach their spells.

Oh yeah, regarding Genetic New Agers: Since in comics a blood transfusion from a super (well, Mutates at least) is all you need to get superpowers, would injecting our blood into others give them superpowers or would nothing happen without serious science! backing it?

I admit I am curious as to why Jessica reacted that way to Trent's demise...

To be clear only the telepaths and Cornelius are aware of the void and his murders, right ?

If the people yelling about it wasn't enough of an encouragement...

Also, who's where now?

Those who went with Blake (Johnathan, Scales, Cornelius, Luna and Terry so far) are at the corner store. Those who went with Benjy (Zia and Ciro so far) are at Twin Hills Street. The rest (which includes Sarah and Jessica) are at the high school.

Hey Grate, are we allowed to do whatever when it comes to minor NP Cs (those police officers) or do we need your response for every NPC interaction? Cause I was going to bind the officers with their own cars and yank their weapons. Speaking of, how many police officers are there?

Feel free to do so. Six officers.

I suppose you're gonna have to find that out in-game. wink

At least aware that the Void did it.

Sorry if it was stupid asking for permission regarding the police officers, I just had to be sure. Anyways, I'll make my post shortly. The gist however is that Neil does disable and bind the officers, before pretending to be the robber's friend.

Should I describe what the scene of the murder looks like?

Or is that for the GM?

Considering you enacted the murder, yeah, I'd prefer if you described the scene.

Yes Sarah, because Cornelius can be in multiple places at once and possesses such refined telekinesis he can implode people into meatballs. Cause Magneto is well known for doing those things.

Regarding Cornelius, I would say he would of either deflected/stalled the attack or forcibly ensured his armor if Johnny hadn't acted as his human shield. Oh, and regarding Ruth, did Benjy not consider the possibility her power is either A) not dangerous or B) not genetic? Cause the main concern in letting a New Ager into a hospital is genetic testing, yet Ruth's mind is simply divorced from her muggle body right?

Though it'll be interesting to see if / when she figures out the truth, how she'll take it. Will she blame Terry for the activities of his split personality?

This should prove interesting.

So just curious, will there be a tropes page for this eventually? I think we probably have enough to make a decent start.

Besides that, are we dealing with an actual cloner or someone like Legion?

Please, if Neil was going to murder the President he would of murdered the entire governmental staff as well. Rebuild America from scratch and all that. No, if anything, Neil would "threateningly" storm the White House to prove to the president he and other New Agers are potentially highly dangerous: In order to become the head of something like the CSS.

Neil is not a villain, and he'll only resort to murder if it is truly justified or required (for example, killing an impossible/horribly difficult to contain New Ager or someone who makes it blatantly clear they intend to mess things up after being told severely not to).

Neil might not want Obama death... But I think he didn't want that kid death either.

I think the void could twist Neil's words and kill the president anyway.

Cornelius made a choice: Accept the Void as his personal Shinigami and dictate the thing's murders, or retain the "moral high ground" by telling it to screw off. Since Option B means it will for certain end up murdering innocents, he accepted the demon's terms to minimalize the innocent casualties it'll cause.

Thus while Neil would of preferred letting Trent live so he could try redeeming himself, Neil isn't ashamed or sorry that Trent died. Kind of did this musical number earlier in reality regarding that subject actually.

But yeah, Neil either kills the whole American governmental system or convinces them to make him head of a military/science organization giving him full legal power to suppress his fellow New Agers... Where the alternative is murdering them all so they can't possibly screw up his plans of true peace and equality.

Wow that's really dark...

So does that means Cornelius doesn't care about anyone's death. As in being sorry if it happens?

Like I said, he'll only murder if justified or required. In that hypothetical event where he just murders his fellow New Agers, that would of been out of paranoia that none of them could be trusted to help him or even feared they would make things vastly worst.

Though yes, Neil wouldn't be torn up over death. To him, he very much believes the minds of the dead go somewhere in death, but his belief that each version of a person (omniverse believer) is unique means he doesn't want to deny them experience in that reality. That and he somewhat fears souls get recycled on death, thus effectively completely ending their unique existence.

Besides that, Grate, can you just provide a general idea of what kinds of NPCs can or can't be directly affected by us players alone? I assume every Non-Player New Ager you'll decide about completely. Oh, and how many NPC New Agers do you have specifically decided on? I would also like to know what Ruth has been doing.

It's possible that Cornelius had the president killed in order to create a need for his position as a more authoritive military figure, to deal with a perceived superhuman threat. The violent death of a world leader could encourage the decision for a stricter governmental system, thus giving him more power.

Also, I'm very curious as to where zia has ended up in this hypothetical future.

I think that if Cornwlius does that... He would start a revolution at least.

I hope Dia is t being experimented either.
