I've also felt that having an evil Spider-Man be the villain in the sequel would be the most interesting angle to explore. Someone who's a twisted mirror of what Spider-Man stands for, and uses their powers in a very irresponsible way.

Annie would make a great villain!
Like, they were going to bring in Mayday/Spider-Girl, how would that play out? Should MJ be pregnant, or should they already have a baby? And should that Baby be Annie?

So Superior Spider-Man or Spider Carnage?
Definitely The Spider, from Earth-15. Peter Parker as Spider-Man and Carnage with their combined powers, complete with the personality of Cletus Kasady and Deadpool's sense of humor. RUN.

Now that I think about it, we need to see Spiders-Man VS. Swarm!
A man made out of Spiders versus a Nazi made of Bees!

So this is happening.
Apparently, it's coming in October.
I think we’ve known about that for a while.
Okay, I know they're supposed to be Spider-OCs of fans and creators (as per the solicit), but having recently finished Persona 5 for the first time (and having had my heart stolen by that game), I can't help but imagine a Persona/Spider-Man crossover just by reading that hashtag.

I just don’t remember seeing it mentioned here. Maybe it was though.
So, what would be the best way to have Peter B. meet a version of Mayday Spider-Girl?

Miguel's goober. Officially the M2 characters exist in their own timeline that's a few years ahead of 616.
I mean, how should he react to seeing a version of his daughter that has become a superhero? Based on his arc for this movie, the next logical step would be to have him actually become a dad, but how would you guys go about that?
Also, this is adorable

The movie won Best Animated Film at the 45th Saturn Awards (the Oscars for sci-fi, fantasy and horror) last night!
Hell yeah. I'm so glad it's this and not Disney's works winning these Best Animated Feature awards this year.
The Spider-Ham short "Spider-Ham: Caught in a Ham" is now free on YouTube.
"What!? A portal to another movie's timeline? I hope I haven't missed the first 62 minutes!"
Why are they using a Suspiciously Similar Song to "Dance of the Hours" when it's a Public Domain Soundtrack?

Huh, wonder if we'll see similar episodes for the other Spider-men?
I have thought of seeing Spider-Man Noir and Peni in their own adventures...
Then again, due to circumstances beyond my control, I'm not exactly confident about Sony's line of thinking.

They let Peter Ramsey, Rodney Rothman, Bob Persichetti and co. pour their hearts into ITSV without much sign of really intrusive Executive Meddling, so that makes me a fair bit hopeful that the same team can knock another one out of the park if they put their hearts to it.
Also, I wouldn't mind seeing some Dad!Noir and Daughter!Peni content for the hell of it.

Fair argument, but I can't help but wonder if that was because the top brass literally thought "it will never catch on."
Really interesting interview about creating the closing title sequence of Spider-Verse.
