So the leaks was true. Looks like this maybe some hybrid Spider-Verse/Spider-Men storyline.
OK, so that doesn't really tell me anything about story.
But artstyle is awesome. I'm looking forward to this.
At least we know why Spider-Logo looked the way it looked - because Miles has different costume here.
That looks dope. It's nice reminder that live action isn't the absolute top when it comes to superheros.
35 year old white man.Animation is still for people who want to go nuts.
Wake me up at your own risk.I agree.
While Live Action has been doing a good job of capturing the world of heroes, I feel like it just shines far better in animation.
It helps that if someone isn't available, you can just get a replacement voice.
One Strip! One Strip! The animation style really reminds me of stop-motion, which looks awesome.
This looks beautiful! And awesome!
Slight reservations still since it's an animated Marvel movie, as well as one made by Sony, but this already seems amazing on looks alone. Pity it's only next year!
Sounds like we'll get multiple Spuder-Heroes.
Damn shizzy that look off the CHAIN!
I worry that if this is a hit, Sony Animation will start doing more animated superhero films instead of cartoony comedies.
Because that would be such a loss to the world.
Can you imagine, a world without the Emoji Movie?
x2 I don't see how that's a bad thing.

Your avatar + this movie makes me wish we got bigger budget animated superhero movies.
35 year old white man.So Sony Pictures Imageworks (The VFX studio responsible for the live action Spider-Man movies/animation studio responsible for SPA's theatrically animated films except for The Star) is not going to be involved with this film?
If the proceding trailer gives you any clue, no. And thank God. We needed a better animation team at work on this one.
"We be we baby!"I always love when animated films decide to go for a more stylistic direction, and it works very well for Spider-Man. In some ways it reminded me of some of the video games and how they would have a more stylized look for them, like in Ultimate Spider-Man or Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. The animation itself is a bit choppy at times though and I'm not sure if that's intentional or not.
I just hope they do their own thing for adapting the Spider-Verse story arc, since I haven't heard that many good things about it.
The tombstone says 1991-2018. So Peter Parker apparently at least lived to adulthood in this version.
Oh so this is based on Spider-Verse? In that case please have Peni Parker.
This song needs more love.Wow. The art looks super expressive and legit beautiful. It actually seems like it has a distinct look, rather than a somewhat generic CG style.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectThe animation reminds me of Ultimate Spider-Man (The ps2 game), but upgraded to modern standards and a bit more stop-motiony. It looks gorgeous, and just right for Spider-Man.
I mean, did you see those water droplets on the cab? And the aesthetic of NY at night?

Using the probable worst animated movie of 2017 isn't helping your case.
It could be because of my own personal preference of cartoony animated films instead, and also that fact that I did not grow up with superhero comics.

I think you were missing the sarcasm.
I could also use Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs or Hotel Transylvania as examples, but they weren't so recent as to evoke the immediate memories.
And frankly, I didn't grow up with comic books either. But a change could help Sony Animation grow, and we desperately need something different from the MCU around. Not to mention, if this kind of animation becomes more widespread, I'll be incredibly happy.
And I basically signposted it.

Hotel Transylvania isn't all that good, but I remember the really zany WB style of the animation looking real nice.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI liked the first one, the second one was ok, but not as good.
Genndy Tartakovsky's Popeye animated film he was making for Sony looked good, but i heard they cancelled that.
But i agree with the Lovecraftian, it's a good thing for them to have more variety in their animated films.
And if it does good, maybe that will inspire other studios to do animated action films.

Grain of salt I suppose. That tweet has been the only mention of that tittle.
