Yes it's possible to confirm to a particular group by deciding to specifically define yourself by being nonconformist to another group.
If you accept everything group A believes because it comes from group A then you are conforming to group A.
If you reject everything group A believes because it comes from group A then you are nonconforming to group A and likely conforming to group B.
If however you accept some things from group A because you agree with them, but do not follow or reject everything group A, then you are nonconforming to group A but also nonconforming to group B.
Finally if you independently come to agree with everything from group A, but do so not because it is what group A believes but what you happen to believe, then you are not conforming to group A per say, you simply happen to be in full agreement with group A.
