I actually felt that Beauty and the Beast felt more like a "high school production" in terms of choreography and staging, "Gaston" in particular is supposed to be bouncing off the walls level of energy (it turns into a riotous party) and instead came across as a standard drinking song. The live action "Prince Ali" is not quite that bad, but is more like a music video than a big budget production number.
The thing about the Genie is that he is basically a Robin Williams stand-up, constantly changing personalities and rarely letting anyone get a word in edgewise. Trying to replicate that too much would fall under imitation rather than emulation. "Prince Ali" does show the contrast, as the original Genie was turning into bystanders trying to hype Prince Ali up to the crowd while Smith seems more like an emcee leading the parade. Even when I was younger I wondered what everyone thought when Prince Ali's entire entourage disappeared at the end of the big parade, including the human-styled Genie. From what little we've seen of this film it looks like Genie sticks around in human-form to act as Ali's valet in front of the Agrabah royalty.
The Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers Live-Action/CGI Movie finally got a director. We hadn't gotten any new information on the film since 2014.
"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"Huh, I thought that was dead in the Water.
I wouldn't count it being Saved from Development Hell though, until something more concrete comes out about it though.

Here's what caught my attention from the article.
"Plot details for Rangers are being squirreled away, but it will not be an origin story nor detective agency story. Rather, the take is being described as being meta, something self-referential and cool. Dan Gregor and Doug Mand wrote the script."

"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"I don't know why, but when I read "meta Chip 'n' Dale", my mind jumps to there being an Island of Misfit Disney Characters, with Gadget Hackwrench, Monterey Jack, Max, PJ, and sequel characters.
It's been 3000 years…David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman, who produced The Muppets as well as Beauty and the Beast for the studio, are producing Rescue Rangers movie.
"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"Huh that's the show with that hot mouse girl right?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Before Disney starts casting any of the characters for the Rescue Rangers live-action movie. I wonder which actor could be perfect to portray Professor Norton Nimnul?
"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"Man it’s always a weird feeling when your only familiarity with a show is through sexy fan-art of one of its female characters.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."there are some things i wish i could unseen, like lewd fanart
New theme music also a box... this has the potential to get good.
I won’t deny I have downloaded some stuff for better remembrance.
She is a very cute mouse.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Don't forget Foxglove and Tammy.
"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"Re: I wonder which actor could be perfect to portray Professor Norton Nimnul?
Danny De Vito or Peter Dinklage.
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them.Stephen Root would work as Professor Nimnul.
"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"Frank Angones (Co-Executive Producer, Writer, and Story Editor for the Ducktales reboot) just made this tweet on the news of the Rescue Rangers Movie.
"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"Didn't Darkwing Duck already resurface on Duck Tales last year?
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them. And he returned again in Ducktales today.
The latest episode of Ducktales reboot had an entire episode dedicated to Darkwing Duck with Launchpad gaining more focus.
"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"Actually, you know what Disney could have done to make money of nostalgia without all the extra work? Just re-release the classics.
If they re-release Aladdin in theatres, people would go see it, no questions. I would go see it, no questions.

Bite my shiny metal ass. They actually did that for a few years as they turned some of them into 3D, but then stopped for some reason.
Most likely because it made less money than they wanted.
I know the re-release for The Lion King did pretty well, but the others didn't do so well at the box-office and Disney pulled the plug on them.
A re-release sounds good at first, as it's relatively cheap compared to making a new film. But you have to cover the costs of shipping it to theaters, marketing, and in certain cases, the 3D coversion. Then you got to convince audiences to go see a film that was released several decades ago, when they can just buy or rent the film and watch it at home for a significantly reduced cost. You also got to convince people to watch an old film as opposed to a new release that no one's seen before. It can be a tough sell in a post-streaming world.

I would say it's an exaggeration to call "Prince Ali" live-action song to be bad or have zero energy. It's not as flashy or fast as the original, yet I can tell Will Smith is having the time of his life with this musical. Heck it's why speeding up the video still feels natural and not some awkward speed-talk.
At worst, it's simply okay and inoffensive. And honestly, the CGI Genie invokes a stronger concern for quality than this dance number. But I've gotten used to blue Will Smith.
Still, I'm more interested in The Lion King than Aladdin. I've grown up with wildlife documentaries from Animal Planet and I loved all the real footage of wild animals moving, hunting, etc. There's a certain charm to real-life animals that 2D animation could never quite capture beyond spirit.
