@25: I don't think such an article would fit into TV Tropes. It's neither a trope (a specific storytelling convention), nor a Useful Note (an explanation of real life things that are often featured in fiction). It's probably more suited for a thesis of some sort.

Bump.
Any chance a mod can hook the crowner?
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them."Create a trope for Korean-Japanese relations/portrayals" sounds a bit vague, but I still voted for it as well as the Useful Notes option. I think it should cover a specific portrayal type — though I guess that's more a discussion for the YKTTW.
Calling crowner in favour of turning No Koreans In Japan into UsefulNotes.Koreans In Japan.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPage is moved, indexed, and No Koreans In Japan is turned into a redirect. Going to start moving/cutting wicks... should No Koreans In Japan be cut once all wicks are taken care of or left as a redirect?

Anyhoo, A-D is done. I'm noticing there was a lot of misuse about this, anyway as every single time a Japanese work has a Korean person (or someone just has a Korean-sounding name) whether the work is set in Japan, Korea, or even a fantasy land.

Crown Description:
Actions are not mutually-exclusive.

Those really dont apply here too much, they just do not appear, many artists just simply avoid the subject or areas due to not trying to start something. Its a Cultural thing.
Its part of the reason why Japanese works will avoid WW 2 unless its a fantasy version of WW 2 like Strike Witches or Kantai Collection. On the opposite side of the fence western made WW 2 games and movies are typically a bit hit as long as the Japanese are portrayed in a decent light.
