Santa Destory - Townsend residence

Jeane started laughing at Kuvira's request. It was a joyless malicious laughter.

"Is that your way of letting us know you are going to commit seppuku for us? Or do you not take responsibility for the lives of your own men? The reason there is such difference in casualties is because you chose a fight with the wrong people. What you should be doing is engraving the lesson never fuck with Santa Destroy into your thick skull instead of trying to kick up dirt. You get to walk home with your remaining forces and gain new allies, which is more then you deserve. Or perhaps you would prefer the massacre continue? My forces fought against an invading force to defend their home and I will not punish a single one."

Death Metal stood silent, keeping his ears in the conversation but his eyes on the soldiers in the room.

Bad Girl seeing that she could not force her self free stopped her tantrum and decided to try a different approach. She scanned the room for who would probably the most sympathetic individual and stopped at the large robot. For what should be a cold machine, the guy really had a bleeding heart. She tried to motion to get his attention, then gave him the biggest puppy dog eyes she could muster.

Despite putting an end to the fight, Travis could not but like the big red and blue. He walked and talked like he was straight out of one the anime he watches. It was awesome, even if he was getting in the way of some killer fights. If he was supposed to be protecting Santa Destroy though, he really couldn't afford to be as reckless as he wanted to anyway. He would just have to endure another round of boring negotiations.

Then another new comer decided to join the party here, some sort of power armor. The design was different from the steam punk stuff the Zaofu were using or of Optimus. He tried to remember if there was some one calling them selves the Nova Cats back in the meeting, but admittedly he was not paying much attention then. Probably belonged to that cowboy in power armor or one of those military stiffs. Guess if he wanted to know he would have to ask.

"Who the fuck are the Nova Cats?"

"They are our allies. Fought along side us in this last conflict."

Jeane was looking down at a message she just received on her phone as she spoke. Despite her answer being statements, there was an underlying of uncertainty having just learned of the development herself.

Meanwhile, outside in the garden Holly stayed near the entrance to keep a tab on the meeting. She didn't want to enter and become tied up in the politics. She was more valuable with her hands free to act. She regretted not getting a better look at the new suit that disappeared into the building though. It was different from the suits wielding flamethrowers up front and Holly could not help but imagine what brush strokes this creation could add to the art of war.

Axton was torn between whenever or not the fact that the fight ended with a giant robot busting through the wall and telling everyone to sit down was boring, or frigging epic. Regardless, there was one thing he wanted to do right now. he ran in front of the robot, not a hard task, the thing being as big as it was, and took out what appeared to be a camera of some sort.

"Hold it, hold it, just let me do this real quick."

Then the flash of the camera would go off.

"Great! Perfect! Now no one can tell me I went insane when I tell them the fight ended with a giant robot coming through the wall! Also, that'll make a great wall poster."

He put the camera away and put the shotgun casually across his shoulders. They might be talking the peace talks now, but with as many people as were popping up, you never knew when the shooting might start again. Best to keep the weapons at the ready.

Sanctuary

"Oh, er......ya, sure, sure, I can take this shinny coin as payment for you ladys. Just....give me a sec here." He would walk over to the table and start digging through the junk on it, throwing it off the table, a piece or two possibly coming in the direction of the Kongs. Then he came back.

"Alrighty, this here should let you get a speeder at any of my authorized Catch-A-Rides! Which, er, is just this here one at the moment. Oh, and if that there authorization happens to be a little sticky, don't worry about it. Mighty spilled a little oil on it when the quake happened. Enjoy the ride!"

SANCTUARY

Candy and Dixie deftly dodged any objects flung at them as Scooter came back and gave them some kind of card like object. "Thanks!" Dixie said, taking the card. "I think a hundred fifty coins oughta cover the rental cost," she said giving Scooter the bag of banana coins. "Come on Candy!" The older kong was dragged along.

-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-

EAST TOWARDS CASTLEVANIA

Soon enough, the Kongs were driving out of Scooter's garage in the slightly used speedster, with Candy taking the wheel and Dixie on the turret, heading straight East.

"Oh, there's even a radio up here!" Dixie said, turning it on. After fiddling with the dial a bit, she hit a pretty catchy song that started off slow for the first few second before really getting into it. "Now this a jam!" the younger Kong said as bobbed her head as the beat started. Then she noticed Candy. "What's wrong Candy?"

Candy look rather annoyed, seemingly glaring at the road ahead without really looking at it. "We're not supposed to do this," the older Kong complained. "Cranky said to just look around the North and come right back!"

"He didn't say when to come back to the island," Dixie countered. "He also never said how far inland we can go."

"I have no idea I'm not turning around right now...."

"Oh come on, where's your sense of adventure?" Dixie asked.

"Safely in front of TV with a controller in my hand, thank you very much," Candy bitterly said.

"Pfft, really? You really need to roam outside your comfort zone more. You've been lesson martial arts lessons, right?"

"The karate's just for the exercise, and learning a marital art doesn't mean I'm ready to go an wild adventures like you guys!"

"Not even to hang out with Mario for sports?"

"I do sports! Just.....not outside the island....."

"Well that's hard to believe! What with your butt growing in size lately! DK might like that sorta thing, though - "

"At least I have curves!"

"So what? I don't care!"

"Not enough to notice those times when Diddy oogles Tiny?"

".......do. Not. Even go there!"

"Why? Jealous?"

"I'm not jealous!"

"Not even a little?"

"N-N-N-No!"

"The way you looked at Tiny during that baseball tournament and getting more cheers than you said otherwise."

"WHY YOU - !!"

Candy laughed at Dixie's annoyance. Unfortunately, the kongs were so wrapped up in their argument they failed to notice the darkening skies as they continued East, the billowing dark clouds blocking out the sun to create permanent night.......

"RRRRRR, I AM NOT JEALOUS OF TINY!!" Dixie yelled.

"Sure you aren't," Candy said sarcastically. "Especially not of the modeling career and she makes Diddy go ga-ga every time she - "

"At least she gets paid to flaunt her stuff, unlike you! Or maybe you do in free stuff you sucker tourists!"

"Oh you are not implying I use my goods like some street hussy!"

"The way your pad looks, no way you can legitimately afford that much from shopkeeping and factory work alone!"

"How would you know?! You never even had a steady job in your life!"

Nor the Kongs noticed the being they were rapidly approaching.......

"At least I know well enough to - "

*WHAM thump thump SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!!!*

........................

A beat.

The Outrunner stopped, nearly having done a 180. The turret was swung around, the barrel end facing directly behind the vehicle. A large dent was one the front end, covered in noticeable blood splatter. Dixie was hanging onto the handle by her ponytail. Candy sat completely still, her knuckles white and her finger threatening to crush the steering wheel. Both Kongs had their eyes wides as dinner plates in sheer shock and faces in a shade of deep blue.

Silence..................

They then did the only logical thing at this point -

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"

They looked at each other - "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"

They then looked over at the unmoving body they ran over - "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"

"Omigodomigodomigodomigodweranoversomebodyweranoversomebody....." Dixie mumbled to herself while Candy merely hugged herself and started swaying back and forth. It would be a full, agonizing two minutes for the two to calm down.

"Please tell me we ran over a Kremling," Candy said, clutching the sides of her head and obviously freaking out, "please tell me that was Kremling!"

"D-D-D-Don't worry Candy, Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah-I'll go check," Dixie assured. Being the braver Kong, she had her ponytail let go of the turret handle and she fell to ground. Nervously she walked towards the still unmoving body, absentmindedly picking up a nearby stick as she did. Candy looked on, mentally debating whether to watch or to close her eyes, but still remaining planted in the driver's seat.

Soon Dixie approached the potential roadkill.....

"Uh.....U-U-U-U-Uh......s-s-s-s-s-sir?" she asked. "A-A-A-A-Are still a-a-a-a-alive....?" She poked the body with the stick......

A Very Angry Minotaur, Castlevania

The body that Dixie poked began to move and get up off the ground to loom over the young Kong. He was a huge half-man, half-bull, and he was not in a good mood. No one would be after being run over. He seemed to be growling and snorting a bit as he bent down to pick up his axe, ready to slice the young Kong in half and justifiably angry about being ran over by a heavily armored car.

"Believe me," Optimus continued, looking down at Kuvira, "What happened today was a tragedy. But talk of reparations and blame-laying can wait until tempers cool and your forces are completely withdrawn. What we all need is a chance to form an alliance, as we should have when we were all first brought into that meeting room. If we all hold together, as cogs in the Great Machine, we will have the best chance at defeating the Cure, and perhaps even seeing our worlds again."

He then looked, noticing Bad Girl restrained as she gazed up at him, her strange organic optics widening and her oral servos quivering. He gently reached down, pinching her metal bindings and pried them away, before continuing, looking at all the room's occupant, Captain Lenardon included.

"I'm an Autobot, and we're sworn to protect life. And that includes organic life. I intend to do everything I can to preserve the lives of this new world's inhabitants. Open warfare must never be our first resort if our people are to be kept safe. Which is why it is absolutely vital that we reach out and form alliances with our neighbours. Ky Kiske of Illyria Castle in the west proposed just such an arrangement."

"Illryia Castle is my ship's next destination. You can join us there, or let petty land grabs and retribution squander this last chance to adapt and survive."

Bumblebee gave a short laugh at Ayal's insistence to fight. "Yeah, uh, in case you hadn't noticed, I'm packing enough punch to send you into next decacycle, so you might want to reconsider."

Bulkhead groaned, all banged up from the Mechs playing Shadow of the Colossus on his face, lumbering up beside Bumblebee.

"Come on, lil' buddy, fight's over. Let's get over to Prime and get out of here."

Bumblebee groaned.

"Oh come on, Bulk, I can totally take this guy on. Just watch me."

Prowl walked on over to Bumblebee's other side, the yellow bot flinching from his sudden appearance.

"Now's not the time, Bumblebee. Get a raincheck."

"Ugh, fine. Name a time and a place, you robotic wannabe. I'll be there."

The minotaur reached down to pick up its battle ax.

"Okay, so, can we just swap insurance information then?" Dixie said with a nervous smile while still backing away.

Candy, meanwhile, had her eyes fixed at the situation at hand while starting the car up again.

Helghast Envoy/Central City

"I sent an envoy to my neighbors to the west, and it returned this morning, informing me that they are... well, to put it in the envoy's own words, giant mechanical beasts." Bradley continued, clasping its hands. "I have no doubts that they will try to assert some kind of dominance over this continent, be it through war or through the facade of an alliance. If we unite, Captain, we'll have the upper hand, and we'll be able to decide the fate of this continent. Before we send our envoy to this new neighbor, I believe a formal alliance will be necessary. We must unite under a new name, and this alliance must be put to paper. Don't you agree, Captain?"

Santa Destroy

"Don't inflate yourself, cow." Kuvira spat at Jeanne. "It's clear the only reason your troops won today is because you abandoned your honor at the doorstep and resorted to dirty tactics and allying yourself with people of superior firepower. If things had gone my way from the start, there would be no conflict, and the people of Santa Destroy would not have to be subjected to the whims of a mad woman and her sheep."

At this, she glared at Optimus Prime. "And don't try to act as if you understand what's going on, Automaton. From your position of power above us, the last thing you could possibly know is what my troops are going through at this very moment. Within them, the urge for revenge grows by the second. There will be no waiting, there will be no withdrawing- either we leave today with reparations formally agreed upon, or you will all have to stain your minds with the knowledge that today, a crime has been committed... and I will make sure that justice is served."

She narrowed her eyes. "Do not think that what you saw today is the full extent of what Zaofu can do. The forces brought today were specifically trained for a peaceful exchange of control, not war. You have not seen what a war with Zaofu truly looks like."

The Minotaur cursed out as he was left the dust of the heavily armored car. As Candy drove deeper into Castlevania proper, the two would soon find themselves driving in a thick forest which looked rather gloomy in the eternal night of Castlevania. There did appear to be a bonfire in the distance further into the forest though.

'''Santa Destroy (Ayal)

The duel could not be completed with the intervention of the larger mech, as willing as his opponent had seemed. His comm system lit up, indicating he had an interruption of his own. The Nova Captain was back, he saw by his tacmap.

"I too must be elsewhere, I know not how long our forces will remain here now that my commander has returned. Next time we see each other, however, I eagerly await your challenge. Perhaps we could find time in more amiable circumstances."

He turned from the two mechs and activated his jump jets, moving quickly on his way back to town. "Ayal. Speak."

"Nova Captain Lenardon has returned, and is meeting with the other leaders. What are your orders until she gives her own?"

Ayal thought a moment. Most of the fighting was around the mansion some distance off. That was likely where the leadership was. "Secure the nearby manor. Do not engage any hostiles but to defend yourselves. These dishonorable dogs may again strike during a ceasefire, and we will need to be ready to support her should their best warriors be with their leaders."

He switched channels, then, to speak with the Nova Captain directly. "Nova Captain, I am prepared to give my report of this battle."

"Please do. I will not respond but shall read it as it comes in," she replied.

She must be ready to recieve it converted to text as she listens to the conversation, Ayal thought. All the more important he include as much important information as possible so she wouldn't be out of the loop. He started narrating his report as he moved to meet up with his men.

Santa Destroy (Aleida)

As Star Commander Ayal's report scrolled across her HUD, Aleida's confusion and irritation turned quickly to anger. This was simply madness. Not one part of this conflict was redeemable, and Ayal himself only avoided dishonor through sheer luck; the defenders jsut happened to contact him before the attackers had. She would have some words with him later, but first this conflict needed to be closed out more cleanly than it had opened.

After Kuvira finished her speech, Aleida issued a snort of derision loud enough to be picked up by her suit's microphone and broadcasted to the room. "You speak big, yet sound small. Losers do not dictate terms. You talk of honor that you cannot possess, with such a cowardly attack. One who is sure in purpose and honorable in conduct declares their intentions to the defender. They do not invade under the guise of a peacekeeping operation. The only ones amongst your forces with any measure of honor are your dead, for they died valiantly in combat. The rest of your men are lucky to still have their lives. I could take that from them with one command-"

She spun and gestured to the mech behind her, "But that would make me as bad as this one, asking for peace but bringing more strife. Those who use the white flag as a battle standard have less honor than those who use ruses and ploys as weapons. He is correct about one thing, however."

She turned back to the other leaders in the room, mechanical hands on armored arms balling into fists. Her voice carried enough displeasure to make her fury known even through the reprocessing between the suit's microphone and external speaker. "Such nonsense must stop as soon as possible. This was no battle, here today. This was nothing but mindless violence. To call this a war would be a disservice to the term; this was the battlefield equivalent of a temper tantrum."

She raised the arm her personal Gauss rifle was mounted to and pointed it at Kuvira. "You and I shall settle this properly. We will duel each other without weapons or armor. If you win, the Nova Cats will never again assist this town in its defense. If I win, you renounce all claims on this land and never again invade it. This will be proxy for the Trial that should have taken place, instead of this senseless massacre masquerading as warfare. Refuse the challenge and you will reveal yourself to be without honor or reason, and I will execute you here and now. Your people will know no mercy in your passing. Answer, and tell me the fate of your nation."

Optimus listened to Kuvira speak, crouching down to reach something a little closer to the level of those he was talking to. Talks of reparations and settling of honour weren't ideal, but it was a step above the massacre that was happening outside. His abdominal actuators turned at the thought of the sheer number of dead outside. Organics rotted and liquefied when they died, he knew this much from the Academy's occasional xenobiology lectures. While he wasn't thrilled that she had attempted to annex the region, however peacefully her intent may have originally been, he wasn't going to dismiss her demands out of hand. He was a neutral party there to settle the conflict, not take a side.

"Kuvira, your people have my sympathy, but any commander knows that the real gains happen at the negotiation table, not in the wreckage of an all-too-recent battle. There are still loaded weapons out there, soldiers leaking vital fluids and flared tempers. My Autobots are willing to help you retrieve your dead and wounded and escort you safely from the city. Reparations will wait. You can't shake a clenched servo."

He looked to Aleida, his optics narrowing at her dismissal of his intervention and demand for the duel.

"A good pacifist doesn't stay passive. My Autobots were under strict orders to simply disable the deadlier war machines and reduce collateral and military casualties on either side. It was no ruse - it was a last resort to keep you all alive when battle erupted despite our intervention."

He stood up to his full height once more, towering over them and staring down.

"And this battle is over. No one is under any obligation to prolong it with a duel. When will all of you see the bigger picture? Honour, land, resources, none if it will matter if the Cure gets his way. I am offering all of you a way to keep your people safe and your territories supported. Don't hurl it away now."

Bumblebee grumbled to himself under his breath while Bulkhead made an effort to ignore him. Prowl, on the other hand, cautiously approached several of the Earth Empire soldiers, his hands raised out to show he meant no harm.

"Don't be alarmed. We're not your enemies. Are any of you injured?"

Death Metal rubbed the bridge of his nose and shot Jeane a stern look, trying to silently remind her that he had warn her inviting this woman here was a mistake. Jeane ignored him however, just as she was ignoring Kuvira's insults, instead concentrating on her next move.

Bad Girl, set free, giggled and thanked her rescuer. She was going to kill them now, starting with the limp dick piece of shit that thought he could tie her up. She moseyed over to her bat and picked it up, being sure to hold it lightly and in a non threatening manner until she decides to attack. She walked around the room, only half paying attention to the meting, instead mostly thinking on how she wants to kill everyone there. Kuvira's talk gave her pause though. She was planing on spilling blood today, one way or another. Fuck anyone who would try to deny her that. With the way thing were going however, it looked like she would get her wish and be able to do it without pissing off the other assassins. She decided to wait alittle bit longer.

Kuvira was going to force Jeane to kill her and all her men. After words she as going to have to deal with a full on assault from the rest of Zaofu's forces, who if were even half as stubborn as this woman, she would have to kill to the last man as well. It was hard gauge how difficult a full on war would be, this battle was overwhelmingly in their favor but Kuvira was claiming that war was a different story. Sounded like nothing more then empty threats from a piss poor loser, but she couldn't be sure. Even if things worked out like today, it was still resources and time devoted to an endeavor with nothing to profit from.

She turned and listened as Aleida spoke. She was still very curious about these apparent allies. Where the hell did Holly pick these guys up from? Did she have them in her pack pocket this whole time? They were military, the straight lace kind it seemed from the way she was going on about honor. She will have to keep that in mind when dealing with these guys. Then Aleida mentioned a duel. Was that an option? Jeane didn't think anyone but idiots like Travis or maybe Shinobu would go for something like that, honor before reason and all that. But it was here on the table now. She could use this. After optimus finished, Jeane spoke.

"No, a duel is a good idea. Kuvira has already placed her ultimatum. Her retreat would only mean a lull in combat, not the end to it. Its better we finish this now. A duel would minimize bloodshed while letting things come to a resolute decision, assuming neither sides welshes. However, this is Santa Destroy and I feel it should be one our own fighting in this duel. If there is no objection, I myself would like to fight. Same rules, no weapons, no armor. I would like to amend the conditions of a successful win though.

Kuvira, if you win...the only thing keeping you from an alliance is retribution correct? The actions of my people had been carried out under my orders. If you win, I, and I alone, will pay the penalty for whatever crime you felt was committed. With your condition met, that means you would be free up to repurpose your resources to something more productive, like hunting this Cure guy right?

If I win, Zaofu dedicates its forces to this alliance and never sets foot in Santa Destroy again without our say so. What ever way the fight goes, the alliance is made and the needless war stops. Everyone wins, except the loser. So how about it? Guess you could always suck it up and let bygones be bygones, but somehow I get the feeling we wouldn't be in this if that was an option."

Jeane had no intention of playing the martyr. The whole reason she had formed this group in the first place was for her own protection. The set up was too perfect however. She was an assassin and used to killing people, to name your prize for killing someone was too great. Rather then getting bogged down in a war with Zaofu, she could kill one person and their army would secure Santa Destroy's north eastern border.

Better yet the duel was no weapons, no armor, Jeane's modus operandi. She had trained and sculpted her body into the perfect killing machine and was now ranked the #1 killer, at least as far as the UAA is concerned, using nothing but her fists. The only way she could stack it better was if she could convince people that Kuvira had to be handcuffed during the fight as well.

Kuvira did display some martial arts, but she was relying heavily on that ability of hers. The metal strips she was using would count as weapons, armor, or both. Unable to use her powers, Jeane was pretty confident in winning the fight. And since it was Aleida's rules, no one would think of it as Jeane trying tip the fight in her favor.

The other stuff Jeane said was mostly just lip service. If she did somehow lose, she would dead and could care less what happens then. But she could play off the given and milk it for more then its worth.

The fact he found it perplexing was written all over his face, and the other technicians didn't seem to be any more knowledgeable about what the item actually was. "Thank you." It was obvious that they wanted to ask what to do with the square, but were too embarrassed to do so.

Horse and Selima, Raptor/City 17

The Elementals came to a halt, staring dumbly at the liquid metal as it slipped quite literally through their fingers. Some of them tried to shake the metal off, fearing it was some sort of lostech weapon - but when it became clear that it was harmless, they stopped. An Elemental transmitted, "Star Commander Selima, we have encountered a problem."

"What is it?" said Selima, who was currently engrossed in examining the corpse.

"The isorla, it has... melted." The junior Elemental couldn't prevent the incredulity from bleeding into her voice. Selima didn't respond for a long moment, wondering how such a thing was possible. But he pushed it aside.

"Continue onward to the DropShip. I will join you shortly." Selima took hold of the pilot's armour and pulled. As his suit was designed to rend the armour plates of BattleMechs, Selima doubted that the armour could keep him out, although it would definitely be damaged.

Aidan and Joanna, Raptor

Still wearing his cooling suit, Aidan listened with rapt attention as Joanna described her meeting with the erstwhile Nova Cat saKhan. His eyes occasionally flicked to the data slate as he perused the information contained within. So this is what would become of Clan Jade Falcon, and indeed the Clans themselves. He wasn't sure if it was all preordained, but if it was then perhaps the fact he had been transported to this strange realm was a blessing in disguise.

The Nova Cats' offer intrigued the Star Colonel. It was time to contact them. A short while later, Aidan returned from the command centre to his cabin, which is where he had been discussing the situation with Joanna. Fixing her with his cool gaze, he said, "I have spoken with their saKhan, and it is decided: you and a star consisting of a Summoner, two Timber Wolves, and another Mad Dog shall be temporarily transferred to the Nova Cat command. In return, we shall be given access to the star of one Star Colonel Anastaas Lossey. I want you and your star to be prepared to leave as soon as possible - I also expect you to tell me what you think of the Nova Cats when the sharing period is over."

"I will make sure to do that, Star Colonel," said Joanna, rising to her feet. She met Aidan's eyes the entire time. "However, we cannot allow our Clan's honour to be sullied for a temporary advantage. As I said to the saKhan, I do not trust these freebirths - and you should not either. We have already seen their treachery on Tukayyid and elsewhere." Even if Aidan was nominally her commanding officer, Joanna was not afraid to tell him her opinion. She had, after all, trained him.

Aidan nodded steadily. "I understand that. If the freebirths attempt their underhanded trickery, they will be punished one hundred fold. I may be offering an open hand in peace, but it can easily become a closed fist. You understand, quiaff?"

"Aff. I will not keep you any longer, Star Colonel." With that, Joanna left Aidan to his thoughts as she exited the room. She would need to gather her star quickly.

Armor Outpost

A pair of scouts in each corner, each surveying the situation before them. All of them baffled as they saw helicopters fly in dropping stacks of bricks. From the looks of things, this new ruler had full intent to use the inhabitants of the Armor Outpost for manual labor.

One scout contacted King Leo, reporting his findings.

"So to sum up; there's been no resistance on the inhabitants' end?"

"There doesn't seem to be. Civilians are being gathered in the center of the outpost, possibly including our own envoys, and surrounding buildings are being destroyed."

"As for the invaders, how many hostiles are we talking about?"

"Seems small. About a handful of these floating vehicles, two choppers and a small group of golems; the golems seem to reach about a regular human's waist in height."

"That small? Hmm...we might just be able to mobilize after all. But the situation in Illyria is getting tighter...alright, I'll mobilize a handful of forces to enter the Outpost. Stay in your positions and continue to report your findings."

"Yes your Highness."

At the edge of Illyria, away from where the action was, three platoons, totaling up to about thirty five swordsmen, twenty five support units (who doubled as medics) and an envoy who would attempt peaceful negotiation first.

"Feels wrong, leaving the rest to deal with the invasion..."

"You know how the Kings do things. We've technically already allied ourselves with the Outpost, so they're kind of under our protection."

"Alright, enough chatter folks. We're heading off. The invader's forces are as follows; a small group of golems, about ye high..."

The commander pointed to his waist as he said this.

"...probably armed, a handful of combative vehicles, capable of tearing down small structures, and two transport choppers. Our mission is to drive away the forces and their leader. A warning will be our precedent, and should they refuse, we will strike. There are civilians in the center of the Outpost, should any be caught in the crossfire, your priority is to evacuate them a safe distance away from the action. You all got this?"

"Yes sir!"

"Good, let's be off!"

With that debrief, the three platoons, led by three commanders and the envoy, seating themselves in a single, pristine white airship. It's sides lit up, surrounded by glowing runes powered by magic, before taking off and heading towards the Outpost.

Shell A, Royal Court

Tension...and miasma...filled the air. Then...

"AAAGH! AAAUUUUUUUGH!"

One poor knight backed up from the miasma a little too much and failed to notice the giant Venus flytrap rapidly reaching a ferocious stage of maturity. He was promptly snapped up and trapped in its jaws, dropping his sword and releasing muffled screams of terror.

"Focus fire!"

The knights immediately fell into their standard formation. Fireballs shot out of the hands of the support units while swordsmen stood in front of them, each formation keeping distance from the Venus flytraps. The five or so formations stayed together in a circle, moving as far away from the forming flytraps as possible while attempting to engulf each one in fireballs.

With their focus on the flytraps, they couldn't afford to pay much attention to the green fog, breathing it in freely as they targeted the flytraps.

Shell B, Capitol Town

The knights patrolling the town were larger in numbers, and would stand a better chance against the flytraps. However, they would seen be come upon by the charging lobotomites.

Whatever few knights were on the outskirts of the town, they were quickly engulfed. What few swordsmen and support units tried to hold their own, engaging in close combat with the lobotomites with their swords or attempting to blow them away with fireballs, but simply put, they weren't prepared.

With the coming of Gabe, the remaining knights on the outskirts fell, giving Gabe and whatever lobotomites remained a path to the center of the Capitol town, where a much larger force was dealing with problems of their own.

Shell C, Near Safety Bunkers

"WHATDOWEDOWHATDOWEDOWHATDOWEDO?!"

"C-Calm down! The fog can't reach the bunkers just yet! Close them off!"

With that, the knights closed and locked up gates over the doors leading to the Bunkers, hoping to keep the miasma and killer plants out.

In these narrow hallways, the knights only had to point their fireballs in one direction, but as before, the situation at hand prevented them from avoiding the miasma.

Citadel of Amn

"And... we're done," said Nitori, clapping, obviously satisfied.

One by one, the kappa finished their work, making it abundantly clear with either triumphant yells or relieved sighs.

As if to make it all even more clear, Kanako waltzed out of the newly finished shrine, inspecting it all. The little lawn, the pond, the main building.

"This works," said the god, punctuating the statement with a grand sweeping motion.

Fuyuki City; Docks

Aya considered it. She was the owner and sole reporter of the Bunbunmaru Newspaper, and a member of the Tengu Information corps. Well, accepting would be fulfilling her obligations to both roles.

"Hmm, it is tempting," said the tengu, twirling her pen. A crow swooped down from the skies and landed on the Mayor's shoulder. "I think I'll accept."

Melior

Hatate took one look at her.

"Done. A subscription. In return, I want like; free access to everything in Melior."

Sanae gave a wistful sigh as the children hurried off. Then she got to the work at hand.

"Return to the earth, please." she said, gesturing at the overgrown land she'd been granted. All at once, the shrubs started shrivelling and dying, then rotting and finally disappearing from sight. The tree remained healthy, for the time being. Sanae planned to move it to the side to make space for the small shrine, but that came later.

Armor Outpost

The airship made a safe journey until it reached the area surrounding the center of Armor Outpost, at which point the two choppers started flying around it, pointing laser pistols and laser snipers and laser miniguns at the airship as one of the SWAT Cops took to the microphone. "Roger roger, set down your ship and prepare for immediate enslavement. Refuse and face immediate enslavement followed by immediate death."

Beach City

Sadie's surprised look bore its way onto Funky's back as he left the two teens behind, making his way through the beach to the temple. It bore the image of a giant woman, etched on the side of a hill with a lighthouse on top. On the bottom of the woman rested a small house, a slender, crystal-skinned woman watching him from afar.

"Garnet," She said in a hushed whisper that was still loud enough to be heard from the beach. "I think there's a giant monkey on the beach! What do we do, what do we do?"

Citadel of Amn

Steven took one look from his dad, who motioned him to go forward. "Uhm... I... Steven Universe—" He cleared his throat. "— of Beach City... vow in the name of myself... and my people... that we will not hurt our kind neighbors and that things will totally be cool. I mean! We shall, uh, stay our blades, and all that." He grabbed the quill and signed the treaty. "Wooph. That was though. Who knew signing a piece of paper could be so nail-biting?"

Helghast Envoy/Central City

"Hm. Looking at our map..." Bradley passed a finger over 'New York City'. "This could be another possible ally, together with the chunk right above it. As for me, I will be actively avoiding the machines to our west. Who knows what they could do... who knows what they want to do. I believe it would be wise to inform the people of the other continent about our alliance, see if we can get some people to join us. I would do that, of course. Once I found out that we suddenly were neighbors to a sea, my offices got to work on constructing docks and ships."

"As for our name- perhaps the United Nations of Battleworld? It sounds quite pompous, I know, but it is very straightforward."

Raptor/City 17

The upper half of the pilot's armor came off with a click, revealing a pale shell of a human with multiple wires connected to several holes that had been made on his body with surgical precision. These holes were covered in a slick warm liquid and were connected to parts of the armor that had been pumping and active until Selima popped the armor open. Touching the pilot's body would reveal the suspicion that his organs had been removed, and the suit was acting as a replacement for everything from his vocal chords to his stomach.

Santa Destroy

"The mere fact you are calling me a loser shows just how much you are willing to put into this alliance." Kuvira chided Aleida, before Jeane stepped forward and made her offer. The glare and unsatisfied frown remained in Kuvira's face until she slowly... smiled. "That is acceptable. But we do it now." She snapped her fingers, the clamps in her armor opening up. "In front of our soldiers... I feel there are no better judges." Her fingers did a circle as her hair fell down, the pin she used to keep them up in a bun floating to her hand. "No metal in me." She said, removing her gloves until she was wearing nothing but a sleeveless white shirt, green pants and boots. "And before you ask, there is no metal down there. Unlike you, I play fair."

——

Once Prowl took one step towards them, all the Earth Empire soldiers cowered away. "Please stay back- we already threw down our weapons, what more do you want from us?"

CASTLEVANIA, MAD FOREST

"Even with the high beams on, I can barely see anything," Candy said as she drove along the lonely, gloomy forest path, the headlights piercing the darkness yet seemingly providing little comfort, like scissors cutting through really thick fabric.

Dixie looked around, her nerves increasingly growing. This place reminded her so much of the forests of Kremling Island, except the darkness seemed even more oppressive, as if it was just waiting for the right moment to strike.......

But then she saw another light in the distance. "Hey, I think I see a campfire!" Dixie called out to Candy.

"Good thing this thing's off road," the elder kong said as she swerved off the path and into the forest itself. If there were any people gathered around the camp fire, they would be able to see and hear the car coming from a great distance due to its headlights and its engine. The intensity of the headlights only dimmed as it approached because Candy switched off the high beams.

BEACH CITY, TEMPLE

Funky whistled in amazement as he gazed up at the temple. "Sick set up here!" he said. "Certainly better on the eyes then the ruins back home!" He approached the beach, and seeing the tall, skinny woman, he waved to her.

"Hey girl! I come in peace and harmony!" he greeted.
