Non-financial news: Super Mario Maker 2 physical preorders get a nice looking stylus, at least in Japan and Europe. No confirmation yet for North America.

Also, Japan gets a subscription to Switch Online with a physical preorder.

Good software (except Pokemon legs), mediocre hardware. Story of this fiscal year.

I think they were fully expecting Pokemon to take off just like Smash did.

Also, the Switch passed the N64 sometime this quarter.

I like to blame Pokemon, but I suspect Labomba hit them harder than expected.

To add on to the Mario Maker news, you can get the stylus through digital as well and the subscription for Switch Online is confirmed for Europe.

Not for the Americas, but I'm pretty sure that will be confirmed in a few hours.

This is second hand from a Reuters reporter, but Nintendo will not be showing new hardware at E3.

If the mini is coming out, I fully suspect we'll be getting that info within the next 24 hours or the first week after Golden Week.

I don't doubt it didn't do well, but I'm pretty sure that's not a large reason for the hardware underwhelming a bit.

I can't tell if it sucks that when I finally have chance to get Switch, I'm prevented from doing so because I'm afraid there might or might not be update soon because of conflicting reports I mean on otherhand if there is actual upgrade, I save money by just buying the upgrade, on otherhand if there isn't upgrade then I'm afraid of getting it for no reason

Welp, we got our Persona 5 game. Too bad its a musou game.

At least it's not a strategy game like some were speculating the S stood for, since that would mean beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Devil Survivor series was dead.

The Switch has outsold the N64. And if Nintendo's forecasts are accurate, they'll outsell the SNES in another year.

I pretty sure it's the first official Switch stylus, although basically any stylus made for modern (aka, made in the past decade or so) touchscreen phones and tablets will work.

Yeah, I use a phone stylus for stuff like Splatoon drawings and Stage Builder in Smash Ultimate.

Its a new game you didnt have before. Be grateful for that. Its not Atlus's fault if you believe wild rumors on the internet.

So the updated version of switch is likely just the screen and similar stuff and not like more memory space and such so if I play it with tv I could just get the current version right?

There's no way to be sure just what either rumored version would entail exactly. But based on all I've heard, the "pro" model would be relatively minor upgrades. Maybe faster loading times for example. I wouldn't expect it to be anything that makes buying the current switch feel like a waste of money.
