Currently watching the Game Awards, and so far, they announced Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 as a Switch exclusive.
Any word on who the dev is? The trailer only mentions "Nintendo" so I'm not sure if Activision is involved or not.
Probably the same developers as the rest of the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games.
What a random 3rd party exclusive. Feels like Activision trying to throw Nintendo a bone that won't tear any skin off theirs
Edit: what the shit they actually have Team Ninja on this

Man. Never thought I'd be glad to see Wolverine. I do hope he's not the only X-man to show up however.
Not so sure about Team Ninja however. As pointed out above, Other M is still a thing.
did you think i was being a funnyman
Other M is a (mostly) fine game gameplay-wise. It's everything else that sucked.
My biggest concern is the art, which is giving me an MvCI + Marvel mobile game vibe.
I mean it can't be worse than For you, Rocket? Anything. :u
Yes considering there are better looking Telltale Games graphically than this
Team Ninja made the DOA series, the Ninja Gaiden reboot, the critically acclaimed Nioh, and had co-developed games like Hyrule/Fire Emblem Warriors and Dissidia NT.
Yet they still get called out for their work on Other M in particular whenever they're greenlit for another Nintendo project. Like, seriously? It's been years. Do all their other games and experiences as a developer since Other M not matter all of a sudden? I'm not saying they're the greatest devs in the world or anything, but the sheer amount of Never Live It Down they get is astounding to me.
I'm not sure how I feel about Marvel Alliance 3, as I've never played the originals, but Team Ninja working on it makes me expect a fun (if possibly repetitive) game in the end.

The previous two games were developed by Raven Software and Vicarious Visions, and I liked them just fine. They're not amazing, but they work as just fun beat-em-up romps with Marvel characters. I'm at least hoping that Team Ninja will be able to match that with 3.
Technically, not third party, as Nintendo themselves is publishing it.
Anyhow, Crash Team Racing remaster got announced for all consoles. While the trailer did only say PS 4, the press release and tweet insists its for all consoles. No PC version however.
Yeah, I won't argue that Other M has problems, but Team Ninja is more than just that one game (and I understand that a large chunk of Other M's issues came from Nintendo's end). I'm willing to give this one a chance.
I really wish I could embed gifs on this site because I need animation to express how happy I am about that. CTR was my jam in middle school.
What everyone is missing is that Team Ninja were basically pushed by Sakamoto to include a lot of questionable designs such as how the controls were and such. The story was all Sakamoto.
Indeed, and Yoshio Sakamoto didn't even take the Metroid Prime games into consideration when writing the story for Other M. All this being said though, if there's one good thing that came out of Other M it's Anthony Higgs.

As long as people keep living their self-imposed grudge of the past, this is never end well. I was sick of it back in 2010, and I am still sick of it now. Move on and let it go. It's not worth a year, let alone seven, to continue to complain of something old. And from my year long experience, I don't want this grudge to give inspirations for fan reactions to other controversial installments in other franchises *cough* Star Wars *cough* It's not worth it.

It's "Anthony" Higgs :P
And Metroid fans are never going to let Other M go. But since Sakamoto did make Samus Returns and that did damn well, he probably did learn his lesson. Probably helped he took a break after Other M.
Anthony Higgs, Defier of Gravity and Master of Subtlety.
so, noone wants to talk about Mortal Kombat 11, the first Mortal Kombat game on a Nintendo platform in 15 years?
Also, the chances of a Persona 5 port/updated rerelease have shot up exponentially thanks to Joker's inclusion to Smash.

Mortal Kombat's schtick is old news. I doubt anyone sincerely cares about how violent it is and all the X ray attacks and whatnot. The only people I see hyped about the announcement are general FGC people.
Still a AAA game people did not expect on the system at all. We're in good shape if we can get the occasional game of that caliber.
That's true, but eh.
I'm just hoping that the rumors that Joker being in Smash means that a Persona 5 port for Switch will happen soon is true. Really want to give that game a replay but I don't have time to play in front of a TV these days.
Do we know how Ultimate is tracking in sales yet?
