Double post: NoA PR: Switch became the best selling Nintendo console over Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend; 8.2 million LTD; 115% increase over last year; Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee at 1.5 million.

I think Nintendo of America is being drunk with their PR again. 8.2 million LTD is way too low unless all other data we have is wrong or they basically sold nothing outside of BF weekend, including Pokemon's launch.
8.2 million units sold in a single day is way too low? What the hell is the standard you're comparing it to?
NoA is saying Switch has sold 8.2 million units in the US as of November 27. October NPD estimates should put it around 7.4 million, and Switch seems to have sold 800K over BF if it was their best ever. Which would mean nothing for the rest of November, which is too absurd to even consider.

The Creators' Program is gone but that doesn't mean they won't claim videos and that thought has me worried. If they do keep claiming videos, someone will probably cover it.
I wonder if this is in response to Article 13. Would this count as legal permission to use their copyrighted material in such a way that it bypasses the law?
I think it's more that Smash Ultimate is coming out and now's the best time end the program that most didn't really like.
Also if you read the guidelines, they already tell you what's able to get claimed. Stuff like straight uploading all the cutscenes of a game or the ending *cough* prosafiagaming *cough*
Yup, that stuff feels like a deliberate answer to the recent leaks.
No kidding. That's the kind of stuff they have every right to crack down on.
... Are you [EEF!!]-king kidding me?! Companies can crack down on leaks faster than before if that insane legislation passes?
The newest draft, while not perfect, is much more consumer-friendly. Also, it's not legislation, it's a directive. The EU doesn't have the authority to really legislate much. Basically how a directive works is that they tell the member nations "this is our goal, adjust your laws as necessary to meet the goal." Some nations already meet the goal, some will change to meet it, and some will basically just ignore it.
I mean, if this leads to prosafiagaming getting flagged, banned, deleted, tarred, feathered, drawn, and quartered, I'm all for that.
The Youtube channel that, as soon as a new game comes out, immediately uploads a "____: All Bosses and Ending" video with deliberate, prominent spoilers right in the thumbnail.
And then mocks anyone who complains about it.
Not minor spoilers too, his Odyssey video had Cappy Bowser in it, which is pretty much the biggest spoiler in that game. It wouldn't be so bad if the guy didn't have so many subscribers that it's hard to avoid getting his videos recommended to you, even if you're not subcribed to him.
From what I've seen people speculate about, the fact that "creative input" and "commentary" are separate means they might consider any gameplay at all a form of input and thus channels like Prosafia would be safe, as long as the gameplay's their own.
I am worried about straight OST rips getting chopped down, though, since I like listening to them in other tabs while I do stuff. Two more prominent channels got blasted recently for uploading Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's soundtrack and I'm hoping that doesn't set a precedent for soundtrack rips in general being targets for Nintendo shenanigans.
If they were after music as a whole, there'd be a lot more widespread effects. Those two were mainly because of the fact that they uploaded most if not all of Smash Ultimate's soundtrack 2 weeks in advance, from a leaked and/or pirated copy no less.
A Swedish retailer has a listing for Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Switch.

Should point out that the retailers put on the listing that it was a rumor they heard and are only losting it because of that.
Double post: you can now link your My Nintendo account to your Blizzard account.
SNK recently held an IPO press conference in Seoul, Korea where, in addition to revealing that King of Fighters XV is officially on the way, they also revealed that the new upcoming Samurai Shodown game (and also King of Fighters XIV, if one of the images is any indication) will also be released on Switch.
What other Seouls are there?
x3 inb4 Hearthstone port.
So I got an email from Nintendo telling me that a bunch of digital games are 50% off until the 10th. Super Mario Odyssey is one of them.

Yeah there's a bunch of games on sale right now. I finally picked up Celeste after snubbing it for two not so great indie titles last sale.
