Don't go down that road. Save yourself while you can.
i. hear. a. sound.Yeah, only look it up if you're determined not to let the news diminish your opinion on Toad. I think the little guy's cute so letting the news ruin him for me would be letting the fascists win.
Why can't they just make the Famicom versions available by default? It'd make the service a little better.
Also, does Nintendo have dedicated servers now for multiplayer or not? It'd at least excuse making us pay money for their online service.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?
you're funny
Nintendo's games are likely to stay peer-to-peer for the rest of the generation, and I wouldn't be surprised if their next console stayed that way too. They're making their money and selling their games after all, they don't have much of an incentive to invest in something like dedicated servers.
Also, at the last page: not sure what would of caused the input lag for my friends then, but refreshing to hear that it isn't too noticeable to you guys. Thanks for the answer all!
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaAnd everyone's going to buy their mediocre service for Smash at the very least.
But hey. It's cheap and you can play 30 to 40 year old games on it, I guess.
It's not going to improve the online functionality, and I don't know why anyone believed it would, but it's cheap enough that most people will just grumble and pay up. Especially since the competition did it first, so everyone is used to the idea.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. On the bright side, the paywall should at least indirectly lead to generally better connections. Most people who don't have stable internet service probably won't find it worthwhile to pay for online play with consistent lag, so that means fewer bad connections for those who do stick around. Hopefully.
Stormy Daniels just wrote a tell-all book in which she compares Donald Trump's penis to Toad. Because it's so small.
Well, for one thing, the Famicom version are in Japanese and aren't the versions people remember.
Speaking of which, it turns out Mario & Yoshi was just called Yoshi in America. I know this because it's a game I have on the NES, and the Switch version uses the American title. What's up with that, Nintendo? This whole venture is based in large part on nostalgia, so how about giving us the PAL ROMs from our childhoods instead of the NTSC versions that were only owned by that one kid who could import things from America?
One other thing I'm not thrilled about - NES for Switch always maps A to A and B to B. This appears to make sense, and is the logical choice when playing with one Joy-Con, but in handheld mode, it means the thumb has to twist into a less-than-optimal position. There's a reason the Wii and Wii U Virtual Consoles mapped A to B and B to Y, as did Super Mario All-Stars. Perhaps we can get button remapping in a future update?

IDIOT! DON'T RUIN OTHER THINGS JUST TO GET AT TRUMP! JUST SAY IT'S MICROSCOPIC OR SOMETHING! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!? WHY?
One Strip! One Strip! You know, I could've gone my whole life without knowing that.
Reaction Image RepositoryThis isn't the first time that Nintendo's tried to insist that the main button is always A and the secondary is always B; they flirted with it in Kirby Super Star Ultra, where they remapped B to A and Y to B (relative to the SNES version's controls). As KSSU was a DS game, this was less than comfortable.
(Also, I don't think that Pro Controllers or Joy-Con Grips will fare any better than docked Joy-Cons in this regard, at least with how I tend to hold things.)
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — UnknownThey really need to stop putting Kraid in charge of button-mapping.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I actually already heard about it elsewhere, but the point still stands.
Reaction Image RepositoryAbout the input lag, I was listening to GameXplain's impression video and it seems the input lag is when you are playing online.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Hmm. Trio of surprises dropped on the eShop today; first off, the Sega Ages versions of Sonic 1 and Lightening Force. Admittedly I had about a hour or so heads up from Sega's Twitter, but otherwise it was a surprise. The other one I have previously wondered about a Switch port for, but didn't have any word on: Risk of Rain.

Or put up Ristar and Vectorman.
